Something was telling him to wake up; something just didn't feel right.

Maybe that something was the atmosphere surrounding him that didn't seem correct, so cautiously, and slowly at the same time he slid open a brown colored eye. Then with the same caution, he opened the other one to get a better view of his surroundings.

As he looked around he noticed that he was in a plain room that had bare white walls, a single cabinet with a mirror, a medium size closet, a door that could possibly lead to a bathroom, the bedroom's door, and the bed he currently was laying on. Also, a huge window on the left that streamed the beautiful sunlight. Odd but the window didn't have a curtain to close it if the sun ever became annoying to look at.

The boy slowly sat up from his spot on the bed, slightly groaning as he sat up. There was an annoying pain in his head, making him slightly dizzy as he tried to situate himself on the bed. The pain in his head wasn't making the somewhat nauseating ache in his stomach any better.

Where was he?

How did he even get here?

What's going on?

Who brought him here?

He couldn't think straight; all his thoughts were so scrambled together that he felt like lying back down would answer all his questions.

An ounce of fear was setting in and there was nothing he could do to stop it, no comforting words or thoughts, nothing reassuring came to mind.

All of sudden, the doorknob to the room wiggled, as quickly as possible he laid back down on the bed. His small headache ached a little more with the sudden rush, but he couldn't risk it at the moment.

He debated whether to close his eyes fully or keep them a small inch open- he went with the latter.

Gon could feel his heart hammering away like a man nailing a nail into a wall. He tried his best to calm his breathing that seemed to quicken with every second that passed that the person didn't step into the room.

Finally, the door opened and in came the person he never thought would be standing on the other side of the door.

In the doorway, stood the redhead magician standing with a silver tray in hand. His usual pulled back hair was now lazily hanging down, and his outfit consisted of a plain white shirt, loose black jeans, and black platform boots.

He walked in quick steps, but not too quickly.

"You don't need to pretend that you're asleep, Gon~, " He remarked in a tone that hung between teasing and knowing.

The redhead walked over to the cabinet to set the tray down, then he crossed the room towards the bed. He could feel a giddy feeling jumping around like a rabbit prancing through a field of grass. It was finally real, he was really here. Here with Gon. His special child.

The black-haired child felt the bed sink as Hisoka took a seat beside him, leaving a few inches between them.

"I kindly suggest that you sit up now~"

He silently gulped; not liking the tone of those words.

Gon slowly sat up to face Hisoka, who was smiling to that similar of a child with a new toy."Hisoka...what's going on?" He asked, his voice slightly trembling, but at the same time trying hard to at least give a small ray of courage.

The magician didn't answer him for a few seconds before softly laughing, shaking his head slightly."You don't need to be scared, Gon. Nothing is going to happen to you- I assure you~ " He stood up from the bed, walking over to stand in front of the large window. The sun radiating around him, giving the magician the appearance of a god.

"Then what do you want from me?"

Hisoka sent him a sideways glance."All in good time, Gon, dear~" He took a step back to the cabinet to retake the tray into his hands."Now please eat before the meal gets cold~" He said, walking over to him and setting the tray carefully down."Okay?~" He held the tray out to Gon, who stared at it with a concerned look.

"I'm not hungry..." Gon finally said, turning his head to the side in a sign of defiance.

His smile twitched at the defiance that his child had shown him at that moment. Something seriously needed to be done."I see...how about just the apple then?~" He asked, holding the apple to the child.

The boy shook his head, not even turning to look at him.

Hisoka's hand started to shake a little, possibly due to the annoyance or amusement that seemed to seep its way into his system, quickly replacing the annoyance that once was there.

The older inhaled before setting everything back down."I'll leave the food here if you change your mind. Please try to eat something before it gets cold~" He explained, walking towards the door without a single glance back."A friendly suggestion I may add, but it would do you some good to eat something. There's still so much that needs to be done, and starving yourself won't help" He said, glancing over his shoulder, then opening the door to finally take his leave.

Gon could feel himself beginning to shake when he saw that glint in Hisoka's eyes. The glint was one of someone that had hidden motives, those of a person who was ready cause harm and mischevious to those around them. He admitted that he never thought that Hisoka could muster such look in his eyes. He never expected to see it in those gold colored eyes that always showed nothing but kindness and good intentions.

He gave the food a small glance, he didn't feel like eating but he couldn't just let the food spoil. It wasn't like him to waste food. Gon sighed as he reached towards the tray that contained a slice of bread, a small cup that had strawberry jelly, a butter knife, sunny side up eggs, a cup of milk, and a perfect red apple. Humorously his stomach actually grumbled as he continued to stare at the food. No point in starving himself as Hisoka pointed out.

Time seemed to be forgotten as Gon sat against the wall, a look of boredom and worry dancing as he stared at the plain white walls. He glanced at the window, trying to guess what time it was by the way of the sun. If he were to guess it was probably close to becoming mid-afternoon.

He wondered if Mito-san and everyone else was looking for him...Maybe they didn't think much of his disappearance. Maybe they just thought that he had forgotten about the time and stayed with the magician for the night.

'I can't just sit here, I need to look for a way out!' He thought, scampering off the bed with a newfound courage that previously wasn't there a few hours ago when he first woke up.

The boy ran over to the window, running his eyes twice over the window, trying to see if there was a handle to open it.

Nothing.

Next, he walked over to the door that was nearby the bedroom's door. He wanted to see if this was really a bathroom like he thought. With a shaking hand, he reached for the doorknob and turned it. Opening it in one quick swing, his guess was proven right. Inside was a well-sized bathroom with all the essentials- bathtub, toilet, toilet paper, sink, mirror, etc.

He nearly cried with joy when he saw a window hanging over the toilet that looked big enough for him to sneak out. Gon quickly made his way over to the toilet, he pulled the lid down to stand on top of it. Then he tried his best to balance one foot on the toilet lid and the lid that held in the machinery of the toilet.

"...Steady..." He pulled himself on to the top lid and looked out the window. To his dismay, this window too didn't have a handle like most windows do. This just brought down his newfound courage a little. With a heavy sigh and a heavy heart, he stepped down from the toilet.

Gon slowly slumped down to the tile floor, the tears already clouding his vision.

No!

This wasn't the time to cry; there had to be something that he could do.

Maybe he could come to some sort of deal with the redhead. The question is what kind of deal?

He knew that the magician wouldn't accept it unless he offered something of great value...and of course, the great value is none other than his key to freedom. The thought of losing his key to freedom almost seemed scary to think about, but it's the only thing the redhead would actually consider taking.

Once he fully thought it over, he decided that it would be the only best thing to do. All that was left to do was wait for the magician to return from where ever he had ventured off to.

Another grumbling from his stomach nearly made him wince as he boredily sat on the bed. The sun was already setting and he hadn't heard any movement from outside the room, he had hoped that Hisoka would've already come check on him.

It was almost driving him mad with just sitting around here, it wasn't even like him to just sit idly by. But there wasn't much to do when he barely had any material to work with on an escape plan. For now, he would just wait to see how this all plays out.

'I hope everyone is okay...' He thought as his mood dampen.

Without notice, the door opened in a flash, and in came a smiling redhead who locked as if he just won the lottery. This time his hair was sticking in all sorts of directions, his clothes were crinkled in a few places. Seeing him like this peeked the curiosity of his whereabouts, but then his eyes fell to the tray that held a small dinner. Or if you could even call it that.

Hisoka's smile seemed to expand if that was even possible when he saw that Gon had eaten the food."I am overjoyed seeing that you ate. I must apologize for my late return...there were some as you could say 'matters' that I needed to attend to." He crossed the room to set the tray of two square sandwiches and a cup of water in front of him."A little something to keep your energy up~"

Gon nervously swallowed as he chose his words carefully."Hisoka..." He started, turning his eyes to stare fully into the golden ones."I want to make a deal"

A perfectly shaped eyebrow arched at his words."A deal? How interesting..." The redhead cupped his chin as his smile magically widen."Do tell what type of deal you're willing to make, Gon~ " Oh, the simple thought of making a deal with his child incited him. It was almost too much for him, it goes to show that his child isn't about to make this even the slightest easy for him. And he liked him for that, he liked that he was willing to challenge him in a situation where things would most likely always go in the favor of the magician if properly played. It showed that his child had the courage and strength to even test him.

"A deal where if I win you take me back, and if you win...you can have me how you planned to" Even to Gon, he was personally surprised by the sudden serious tone his voice held.

The magician chuckled, tapping his chin with his finger. Obviously, turning the deal around in his head."My...this sounds like a fetching deal that it's almost too hard to go along with it. At the same time, I'm a little scared that you'll win. I can't have that happening~ "

Gon felt himself getting a little dishearted at the thought that he wouldn't agree to it."It's a fair deal..."

His golden eyes glanced at him, his smile may show that he was happy, but his gaze told another story."Eat your dinner, Gon.~" Was all he said as he walked towards the door and walked out without a single answer or glance.

The boy's eyes widen as he sprinted off the bed and ran like mad towards the door. He tried to turn the doorknob, not surprised when he found it locked.

"HISOKA!" His small fisted began to bang on the wooden door."HISOKA!" That mischievous magician had to make this deal. He had too. It wasn't fair that he couldn't have at least a small say in this matter. It just wasn't. The tears already clouding his sight as he continued to bang against the door in hopes that Hisoka would come back and agree to the deal.

The black haired boy felt his knees grow weak, and in a matter of minutes, he was on the ground. Knees pulled to his chest as he cried.

Something had to be done, or else he would go mad.
