A/N: It's been 3 years since the last chapter but uh...like I promised, am I right? XD So let's get this Chapter under way!
Bolt made his way over across the bridge, his walk was slow due to him being unsure of whether or not this was a good idea to jump into the water like this.
He looked down over the railing to see how deep the fall was
"That's pretty deep" he thought as he dropped a pebble down and it took a while to land in the water.
His stomach growled once more.
*sigh* "I know...but buddy, that's way too much for even I, besides, current looks too strong" he said to himself and tried thinking of another way to get food.
Suddenly his pup tag lit up and beeped, it was his son Chase.
"Hey, Dad! Ryder put out some lunch for us to eat, so whenever you want to, you can come over to eat. Just make sure and get it before Rubble gets to it first..."
"Got it" the father exclaimed as he immediately thought about what Chase said about Rubble and hurried back to the lookout.
When he got there, there was a white bowl next to Marshall's red bowl with the ladder going around it next to his pup house. He saw the tasty looking dog treats in his bowl and licked his lips.
Before he could take a bite however, Marshall and Chase came over.
"Well that was quick" Chase giggled and so did Marshall and Bolt
"Yeah, when I heard Rubble likes eating so much, I immediately came over" he chuckled and dug into his food as Chase and Marshall chuckled more.
"So, Bolt, I heard from Ryder that you'd be sleeping in my pup house tonight" Marshall stated.
"Yep, that's right" Bolt said, smiling at Marshall.
"That's awesome!" Marshall excitedly said as he howled in excitement.
Chase looked a bit concerned "You'll be here next morning...right?" proclaimed Chase. He, of course, was a bit worried since he hadn't seen his father in such a long time.
"Why, of course I will be" he finished his food and patted the young German Shepherd's head. "Ain't nothing gonna happen to this guy" he chuckled as the others chuckled as well. They all went on to play some games.
The day went on and on with the three hanging out with each other until it was time for bed.
"Goodnight pups" said Ryder as he yawned and went into the lookout
"Goodnight Ryder" the pups all said in unison.
They all went into each of their pup houses and all went to sleep...Well, all but some. Before Chase went off to bed he talked to his dad
"Now you promise you won't leave?"
"Of course, I won't. I wouldn't wanna hurt you in anyway, son. Remember that" and he gave the young German Shepherd a little pat on the back. "You're the coolest police pup I know"
Chase smiled at his father, hugged him and went to his pup house as Bolt walked into Marshall's pup house and rested next to him. Marshall was asleep but kept his eyes open enough for Chase not to see him but for Marshall to kind of look at him and closed them after Chase left. Bolt patted Marshall's shoulder before going to sleep. Everyone was asleep peacefully, but one pup was not sleeping well...
It was around 11:30 when Bolt heard a knock on the pup house door. He wearily got up and slowly walked towards the door to open it.
"Who is it?" Bolt questioned, kind of tired.
"It's R-Rocky" Rocky sounded a bit nervous.
Bolt concerningly opened the door and was met with a little scared Rocky.
"H-Hi Bolt, sorry to bother so late" he looked down at the ground
"It's alright, man. So, what's up?"
"I uh...h-had a nightmare..." he blushed in embarrassment.
"Oh...well, you wanna sleep with us-…" Rocky didn't even make Bolt finish as he already had walked into the pup house and fell asleep cutely.
Bolt chuckled softly and fell asleep, patting Rocky's head.
But what Bolt didn't know was that something would happen that night, and it was not good...
A/N: So, what ya'll think of that return chapter? I don't think my writing has improved one bit, tbh... not sure if I'll be able to finish this story since I have a different mindset now that I've lost interest in the show at Season 3, thanks for reading! :)
