Drunk
"Elichi?" Nozomi laughs at the groggy face in front of her, picking up the scattered bottles on the floor. The blonde sitting on the floor beside their bed smiles when Nozomi enters their shared room, eagerly finishing the last drop left in the sixth bottle.
"Nozomi! You're finally home," Eli says, clinging onto Nozomi's legs. "Nozomiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii…"
"Honestly how much did you drink?" Nozomi reprimands, pulling Eli's ear and pouting when she receives a lopsided smile in return.
"Ehehe… Pick a number between zero and nine!" Eli laughs, pulling Nozomi down and leaning her head on her girlfriend's shoulder. She hates it when Nozomi has night classes. The clock on their wall reads eleven and Eli is beginning to regret downing so much alcohol on an empty stomach.
"Five?" Nozomi sighs, putting the bottles away and pretends to go along with Eli's antics. It will most likely end up with Eli passing out anyway. She wonders if this is a Russian thing.
"Six! Six for seeeeeeeeeeex," Eli grins, giving Nozomi a peck on the cheek before looking at Nozomi expectantly. "The bed is just here…" Eli points at the structure they are leaning against and tugs Nozomi's sleeves. "Nozomi?"
"No," Nozomi pushes her face away and sighs. "We are not doing this when you're not sober."
"But I am sober!" Eli whines, reaching an arm over for a hug. "I am not drunnnnnk!"
"Elichi, you can't even speak without slurring over your words…" Nozomi returns the hug, cradling Eli's head. "You're like a spoiled child, you know?"
"Your spoiled child," Eli mutters from within the embrace, before reaching over and grabbing the covers and pillows from the bed. She tosses it over their heads and kisses Nozomi's cheeks. "Pillow fort!"
"Elichi!" Nozomi laughs, shifting closer to her girlfriend. The night isn't exactly warm, the pullover that she is wearing hasn't been effective at keeping out the cold and Eli's warm body is very very warm.
"Now tell me, what was your reason for drinking?" She cuddles closer while Eli chuckles.
"So that you'll cuddle me when you return home," Eli replies simply, sweeping the purple tresses apart before kissing Nozomi's forehead.
"You're the smoothest when you're drunk," Nozomi sighs, feeling herself giving in to Eli's trailing kisses. Her neck burns after Eli's lip left her skin, Eli doesn't stop till she reaches her collarbone.
"E-Elichi," Nozomi gasps, "I am telling you. We are not doing this when you're not sober!" She shoves the pillow towards Eli's face, satisfied when she finally hears Eli gasping for breath, arms gesturing wildly.
"Hmppff!"
Nozomi removes the pillow to reveal a red and dazed face, chuckling at the trail of drool.
"Why are you always doing stupid faces?" She laughs, reaching over with her sleeves.
"Because I like seeing your smile," Eli smiles, tugging hard on Nozomi's arm, pulling her down on the floor. The wooden floor isn't exactly comfortable, but being together with Nozomi is what she wants.
Nozomi rests her head on Eli's chest, clinging her arm around Eli's waist while Eli returns the hug. The night is quiet; it makes the silent thumping of Eli's heartbeat a lot louder. The steady rhythm and the slow rise and fall of Eli's chest almost drives her to sleep, after all she is tired from the night classes.
"I love you Nozomi," Eli says finally, before the clock on the wall chimes twice. It is now two.
"I love you too," Nozomi replies, her face mirroring Eli's when Eli smiled so brightly at her words. "And your cute smile." She adds, feeling impending laughter at Eli's half-awake grin.
"Go to sleep you idiot. Don't drink so much again!" Nozomi reprimands, pulling Eli's ear for the last time that night.
"I won't if you're here with me!" Eli retorts, pulling Nozomi closer, kissing her on the nose.
"Then I'll always be here." She closes her eyes, feeling Eli's fingers tracing her eyelashes, trailing down till her finger is on her lips.
"Promise?" Eli whispers, caressing her cheeks.
"Promise."
