Phineas and Isabella tore down the corridors as fast as their legs could carry them, bouncing off the walls as they came around corners at high speeds.
"Where are we going?" Isabella asked.
"The east tower! It's the quickest way up to the roof!"
They rounded another corner. The end of the corridor widened into a room where a turbo lift was set into the wall.
"C'mon! Hurry!" Phineas yelled.
"Phineas, a lift? They'll just cut the power off and trap us!"
"Not if we don't use it as it was intended!" He pressed the call button, but nothing happened. "Guess they already shut it down. No problem." Phineas waved a hand and the doors to the lift slid open. Then he stood aside. "Think your cable will reach all the way to the top?"
Isabella looked up the shaft. It reached all the way down to the basement, a distance her cable would never extend to. But from this level, it would easily reach to the top. She quickly drew her blaster and fired the cable. The end stuck fast to the ceiling just as they heard a voice behind them.
"Hey! Stop right there!"
They turned and found themselves facing five stormtroopers just entering from the end of the hall.
Isabella put her free arm around Phineas, and he instinctively did the same, grabbing his lightsaber from his belt with his other hand. Isabella flicked the reverse switch and began retracting the cable, drawing them into the lift tube and up just as the stormtroopers began firing. Phineas deflected two shots with his blade before they were drawn higher than the lift door opening and to temporary safety.
"I knew we shouldn't have come here!" Isabella yelled angrily as they rose through the shaft. "You're going to get us killed!"
"Hey, have a little faith in me!"
"I have plenty of faith in your abilities, Phineas. But I also have faith that Darthenshmirtz is going to alert every stormtrooper on Imperial Center that a Jedi is trying to escape from the temple!"
"We'll be fine, Isabella. We just-"
"Blast 'em!"
Two troopers stood side-by-side in the lift door, their blasters pointed up the shaft. The shots echoed through the tube as Phineas deflected the plasma bolts with his lightsaber.
"How much further?" he called.
"Almost there!"
Aaaaaaaand that was as far as I got.
I thought about writing a synopsis of how the rest of the story was going to go, but
A. I don't remember all of it, and
B. I'm pretty sure that's against the rules of fanfiction . net.
I will tell you this, though:
The "Kiss of Death" from the title was going to be a scene where Isabella, having been turned to the Dark Side by Darth Vader, kisses Phineas, and then, while they are still kissing, ignites her lightsaber (intentionally but nonfatally) into his stomach.
I'm not going to give you any more context for that scene than that, ya'll can use your imagination.
Also, here are a few other things that were going to happen:
Phineas and Ferb were going to make a synthetic lightsaber crystal for Isabella that would have given the lightsaber she built for herself a pink blade. Because obviously Isabella was going to have a pink lightsaber.
Adyson was going to be revealed as being in love with Gretchen, which would have been the first time I ever tried writing a character as not-straight. That detail was inspired by an absolutely amazing Phineas and Ferb fanfic that I read many, many years ago, before I ever started writing fanfiction myself, that I have tried multiple times to find on this site again but sadly could not, in which Adyson and Gretchen were the main characters and, though it wasn't really important to the plot of that story, it was revealed that Adyson was gay. I always liked how in that story it wasn't really in-your-face about it. Like, it wasn't a romance story, it didn't even really need to be included for the story to work, but the way it was included was perfectly executed and added a whole other dimension to the very complex story that was being told, and I thought perhaps I could try to replicate that author's brilliance here. Sadly, it never got that far. Oh, well.
For a lengthy scene late in the story, Phineas, Ferb, Candace, Isabella, Perry, Han, Chewie and R2-D2 would all be abord the Millennium Falcon. Phineas would be unconscious due to his injury that I described earlier (Phineas actually was going to be unconscious for a pretty good chunk of this story) and the hyperdrive would become damaged (which would be revealed to be the reason that the Falcon's hyperdrive didn't work at the beginning of Empire Strikes Back) so while Ferb and Chewie were jury rigging it enough to make their escape, Han and Perry would be on the guns while Isabella and Candace flew. Yup, Isabella and Candace were going to fly the Millennium Falcon. That was the scene I was most excited about. I ran through it in my head so many times...never got to write it. Oh, well.
So that's pretty much it. That's as far as this story ever got and as far as I will ever take it. Hope you all enjoyed the small amount of it that I did write.
Again, as I said in the note at the beginning of Chapter 2, if you're into Star Wars and Star Vs. The Forces of Evil, I'm writing a crossover between them that I am extremely proud of and determined to see through to completion. Remember also that I said this story had a really long and complex storyline planned? My Star Wars/SVTFOE crossover has an even longer and even more complex storyline planned. I'd really, really love if you would check it out. It's (very creatively) titled "Star (Wars) Vs. the Forces of Evil." (Man, I use a lot of parentheses. They even find their way into the titles of my stories.)
Anyway, that's all for this unfinished endeavor. To paraphrase Candace Flynn, EDD17SP is out! Peace!
