"Wait," Percy blinked at the guild's shocked expressions. "You all really thought I was from here?"

Macao was the first one to shake out of the silence as he exclaimed, "YOU'RE FROM ANOTHER WORLD?!"

"Ow," The god rubbed his ears for a moment before responding. "Yeah, I'm from a different world- yadda yadda -can I have something to eat now, please?"

"Of course!" Mira hurried into the kitchen after getting over her shock, bringing back a sandwich on a plate.

"Thank you," Perch took a bite of the food before looking at everyone. He sighed, placing the sandwich down, "I guess you all want an explanation, right?"

Everyone nodded as one.

"Alright then. I came to Earthland a looong time ago," He flailed his arms. "Like, a year."

Macao sweat dropped, "That's not a long time, Percy."

"No, wait," Percy rubbed his chin. "I explained that wrong. I've been here a year but I was booted out of my world 93 years ago? I don't know, I'm not good at math."

"How could you be here for only one year after leaving your world 93 years ago?" Erza questioned, raising an eyebrow.

"Okay, one, I was kicked out. I didn't leave. Two, I ended up in the celestial plane where the King found me. Time runs differently there; one day there equals three months here."

Lucy put a hand to her mouth, "Why'd you get kicked out of your world? That seems a bit extreme."

The god shrugged, "Told Zeus his beard reminded me of Santa and that his skin was so crusty that he made toast look like a pillow."

Makarov raises an eyebrow, "You told a man named Zeus that? He must be powerful to send you to another world."

"Well," Percy started nonchalantly, taking a bite of his food. "My uncle is the king of Olympus so I guess he's powerful."

Several guild members spat out their beer at his words. There were shouts of "You insulted the king of Olympus?!" and "Zeus is your uncle?!"

The green-eyed god cleaned his ear out before speaking, "I thought I told you guys Poseidon's my dad. Why does Zeus being my uncle surprise you the most?"

They looked at each other before shrugging, "Good point."

"Anyways, yeah that's how I got here," Percy finished his food before sliding the plate towards Mira. "Thank you for the food."

"Of course!" She smiled, placing the dish in the sink before asking, "What did you do for 93 years?"

At that, the god's smile thinned and he looked down at the counter with interest before answering, "Nothing?"

"What?" Lucy gasped, "Nothing? How come?"

Percy shrugged at the blonde, "I'm not like the other spirits, master. I was- am -an outsider and, so, I'm treated like one. I have to always be with the King and, when I'm not, I can't leave past one hundred feet or risk being executed."

"Executed?!" Natsu growled, "The King would execute you just for walking somewhere?!"

"Like I said, Fire Dragon, I'm an outsider." He turned to Lucy and smiled apologetically, "That's why I couldn't tell you about the other spirits. I've never met them. I recognize them based on their energy though."

Makarov rubbed his chin before speaking, "How come you are able to be out in Earthland if the Celestial King has you on such a short leash?"

Percy smiles blissfully, "He made me a key. This nice village that made shrines and everything for the Olympians found it and they let me hang around. They taught me a lot about this place and magic."

"And the lacrima?" Levy spoke up, "Where does that come in?"

"Oh, right! Sorry, where I come from, we don't use magic. Without the lacrima, I'd never be able to use magic at all. It's blank because it's acting as a container for it to allow me to do simple stuff like use a magic pen."

"What about the glowing?" Gray asked.

"I was recharging," the god responded. "Being out here and not in the Celestial Planes takes a lot of magic and it drains my lacrima. I have to refill once a week or I'll be pulled back into the key. Also, your clothes are gone."

"Oh, okay," The ice mags nodded. "Wait, what?! Ah, man, where the hell did they go this time?!"

Gray loosing his clothes caused everyone to laugh and Natsu to fight him, effectively started a guild-wide brawl and taking the attention away from Percy.

"You lied," Makarov said as he slid the god a beer. "You weren't kicked out because you mouthed off to your uncle. What's the real reason?"

Percy grimaced, his eyes clouding with pain and sadness, "If you don't mind, Makarov, I'd like not to talk about it. I'll tell you later, I swear. Just... I'd rather not think about it right now. Still hurts."

"I understand," The guild master nodded. He let his eyes stray to his children and his jaw dropped at the sight of the wrecked place, "MY GUILD!"

"Is that why you're here all the time?" Laxus asked Percy when the god made his way upstairs, "So you don't have to go back?"

"Partly," He admitted. "I really like spending time with you guys, too! It's super fun here at Fairy Tail!"

"Then why'd you seem so upset earlier?" At the other's questioning look, Laxus clarified, "Two days ago after Natsu's team came back."

Percy nodded slowly, "Oh, right. That." He threw himself on one of the couches, resting his right forearm on his forehead as he looked at the ceiling in thought, "My duty as a spirit and a decent person is to protect my key holder and the people around."

Slowly, Laxus was beginning to understand, "And you couldn't do that because Lucy didn't summon you. That's why you've been giving her the cold shoulder lately."

"Right," The god didn't react when the lightning mage lifted his legs so that he couldn't sit down and simply put them on his lap instead. "I couldn't protect her when Juvia attacked," He sighed. "And I couldn't protect her at the tower. I'm a terrible spirit."

Laxus shook his head, "No, you're not. Percy, you couldn't stop Juvia because Lucy didn't have her keys and you were helping out at the guild from what I heard. And with the tower, Lucy was the one that didn't summon you. She should've known how you'd feel, you literally pledged your loyalty to her and promised to keep her safe."

"Careful," Percy smiled slightly and sat up to poke the blonde's shoulder lightly. "You're going soft. Wait until I tell everyone that the Laxus Dreyar cheered me up."

"Don't you dare," Laxus' eyes narrowed playfully. "I still don't like them."

The god shrugged, "Fine fine." They were silent for a few minutes, listening to the brawl going on downstairs, before he spoke again, "I like this side of you best, though."

Laxus turned his head away to hide his smile.
