This is my very first fanfic. Being a DBZ fan, I don't know why I didn't do this sooner. (Check Profile for more details) I remember watching The History of Trunks movie as a kid and I found 17 & 18 to be terrifying villains. They owned DBZ in another timeline. Now Eighteen has been sidelined to a stay at home mom. I really feel she didn't deserve this. She's very underrated and easily deserves to be one of the strongest main characters. So I decided to make my own story about her being a major character of the series.

(Note: This takes place in an alternate universe. So some things may be different than what originally happened.)

Reviews are welcome and appreciated, but not required. Thanks for reading!

This starts during the Cell Saga. Everything in DBZ happens the same up until the point where Gohan kicked Android 18 out of Cell.

Before the start of the Cell Games, when Trunks traveled back and forth from the future it caused a tear between the timelines.

(Note: this is a tear between all the timelines not just the History of Trunks. Or otherwise known as the "HOT" Timeline.)

In one timeline Android 17 had been killed by Trunks, who is currently fighting Android 18. He punches her through a nearby wall. She lands on Trunks' time machine, transporting her to another timeline. Thus clearing the android threat of that timeline. She had been transported to an alternate timeline where Cell Games had already taken place.

Gohan had just deflected Cell's massive Kamehameha with a Kamehameha of his own. The massive attack swallows Cell, leaving him gravely injured and dismembered. Cell regenerates and transforms out of rage, sacrificing speed for power, a transformation which he had previously mocked Future Trunks for. While realizing that Cell was too slow to catch him, Gohan pummels the Bio Android with two powerful kicks; one to the face and stomach respectively, making him sick. It was clear Cell had no chance of beating Gohan.

(Note: Before we continue with the story, so it's easier to recognize the two Android 18s, we will call the good one "Eighteen," the one Cell spat out and the evil one from the future timeline will be called "18")

18 got up realizing she had somehow been transported to an unknown time. As much as she would like to settle the score with the Trunks of her timeline the time machine was damaged beyond repair, making it impossible to return. She had no idea of where, or even when she was. To get a look around, she flew up high in the air trying to find a clue. She quickly discovered a huge crater left over from the time Cell destroyed his arena during his fight with Goku. Then she looks upwards to see the Dragon Team on the cliff side.

Just as Piccolo predicted, Cell ended up regurgitate Android 18, to the other Z-Fighters shock. Piccolo then predicted this ultimately meant the end of Cell, although Goku privately expressed doubts as to whether that was truly the case. With Android 18 no longer a part of his body, Cell's perfect power begins to fade away and he eventually reverts to his Semi-Perfect form, decreasing his power exponentially.

Seeing her twin counterpart gave 18 an idea. She thought back to the time when Dr. Gero was still alive. During his early development of Cell, 17 & 18 would occasionally interrupt the doctor's work after a mission he sent them on. She remembers Dr. Gero talking about a possible hidden potential that he had planned for them. But due to their disobedience, he scrapped this idea and decided to put his efforts towards Cell. 18 thought it was just a confidence boost told to them so they wouldn't get discouraged during battle. But it appears Dr. Gero may have been telling the truth. Knowing that she cannot be sensed by anyone, 18 quickly acts on her previous knowledge. In her current state, she's no match for most of the Dragon Team. So she hatches a plan to gain more power.

Cell stood in his incomplete form, enraged and yet surprised by Gohan's awesome power. Still unwilling to accept defeat, Cell attacks Gohan, but to no avail. Gohan easily overpowers Cell with hardly any effort. Gohan's new powers quickly goes to his head, opting to toy with Cell, rather than kill him.

18 saw this, and quickly uses Gohan's arrogance to her advantage. She moves in towards her counterpart while Gohan is distracted with Cell. Doing this also reveals herself to the Dragon Team.

Krillin is the first to spot her, "Hey! Look guys it's another Android 18! How is that possible?" he said pointing at her with his finger.

Seeing another Android 18 was most surprising to everyone.

"What? That's odd, I thought Dr. Gero only made two androids." replied Goku with a bewildered face.

"He did! There's only supposed to be two androids. Unless…wait…of course…why didn't I see this before?" said Future Trunks

"See what? What are you talking about? Do you mind filling us in?" asked Krillin still confused.

"The Time Machine...using it to many times must have created a tear in space time. I guess the me in other timelines had the same idea. Mother warned me this would happen...I was never supposed to come here. It upset the natural evolution of time...Dammit! How could I have been so stupid!" explained a frustrated Future Trunks.

"Hey don't blame yourself kid, if it wasn't for you Goku would have died from that nasty heart virus. Not to mention you gave us time to prepare for the androids. You helped us and we're grateful for what you did. But there's more important things to worry about right now. Like what are we going to do about this android? Cell could absorb her and become even stronger. We've got to stop her before Cell notices!" replied Piccolo.

The Dragon Team knew what had to be done. If Cell is given the chance to absorb her, there's no telling how powerful he could become. Despite Gohan's awesome powers, Cell has always managed to get extremely lucky in the past. Similar to when he tricked Vegeta into letting him absorb Eighteen for the thrill of fighting him, which backfired horribly.

(Note: As stated by Future Trunks. Android 17 & 18 had weaker power levels in his timeline. The present ones are vastly more powerful. There are an infinite number of timelines, and there's no telling how powerful they are in other timelines. For all we know this 18 that appeared could be more powerful than the most recent ones. That is why Piccolo is so concerned. We saw a huge power difference after Cell absorbed Eighteen. He goes from below Vegeta to outclassing everyone easily with the exception of Gohan's true power.)

Unfortunately, it was too late for anyone to stop 18. She put her hand on the unconscious Eighteen's stomach and they begin to fuse. A light appeared around them as their transformation took place, blinding everyone in the process, and interrupting Gohan's domination of Cell.

After a few seconds the light stopped, and a whole new android emerged, known as "Super 18" This new form presents a slight change in her appearance, dropping her hair to shoulder length, black shirt that stops at her stomach with white and black striped short sleeves, a jean jacket with the Red Ribbon logo on the back, jean skirt and black tights, a brown belt with a grey Red Ribbon logo on the belt buckle, brown boots with a gold trim, and finally, grey fingerless gloves with black cuffs. All while retaining her beauty. The two fused androids causes a mix between their personalities (Similar to Vegito) Not to mention, a vast increase in power.

(Note: Now I will say, this doesn't have anything to do with her being hot. There is a lot more to Android 18 than just her looks. I'm just simply going off the creator's design. Android 18's nickname is "Deadly Beauty" In the anime episode where she fights Vegeta is titled this. Meaning that she's as beautiful as she is deadly. This is the point of her character. Android 18 is meant to be a high powered killing machine. Her mission and entire existence is the kill Goku, and she's not to be taken lightly. Like all his other androids, Dr. Gero created her to carry out his vendetta against Goku for destroying his Red Ribbon army. I'm simply writing her the way she was intended to be. If you want a better idea of what Super 18 looks like, you can refer and click on this story's photo to make it larger. Overall, I think it's a good look for her.)

Super 18's appearance shocked everyone. Even Gohan and Cell were frozen solid from such an astounding, yet unexpected sight.

"What happened? Is that Eighteen?" curiously asked Krillin.

"Yes, it looks like they somehow fused." replied Piccolo.

"They can do that?" asked Krillin still shocked.

"I guess so, maybe Dr. Gero designed the androids with the ability to fuse. Think about it Krillin. He designed Cell to integrate the androids into his body. It's possible Dr. Gero may have had similar plans with 17 and 18." explained Piccolo.

"Oh, I see, just like how there's a Super Saiyan, there's a Super Android." replied Krillin.

Future Trunks knew the danger of these androids. His experience with them has never presented good results. He grunted, tightening his fist in anger.

Cell smiles and licks his lips at the thought of more power. Using the situation to his advantage, he quickly places his hands close to the center of his face with his fingers spread toward his eyes, "SOLAR FLARE!" he shouted, blinding the Dragon Team and Gohan. Super 18 however, was not blinded due to facing the opposite direction. Cell places his hands together (Similar to a Kamehameha) firing a huge gust of energy at her, attempting to blow her far away from everyone. Super 18 wasn't fazed at all by this, shocking Cell. Her powers have exceeded even her own expectations. Out of curiosity, Super 18 decides to play a game with Cell as a way to test her new powers. She flies upwards and away, goading Cell to follow her, smirking the entire time. Cell quickly pursues her as he can taste his perfect power within his grasp. He follows her above the clouds where she awaits to face him.

"Ah, it's so nice to see you again 18. I never thought I'd get the chance to absorb you again." said Cell with delight in his voice.

"Things are going to be different this time around. Your going to pay Cell. I haven't forgotten about our last encounter." replied Super 18.

Cell busts out laughing, "Hahahaha! You fool! Haven't you learned that you belong to me? I'm on the verge of becoming a god. What'd you think? I'll just walk away?" he asked in a whimsical voice.

"A god huh? It looked like you got beat up pretty bad by Gohan. How embarrassing to be wrecked by a little kid." taunted Super 18.

"Ah, feisty as I remember you 18. Gohan was nothing more than a minor setback. A kid I simply underestimated. But Once I absorb you the boy will pay dearly for his foolishness. Now, shall we get started?" taunted the overconfident Cell.

"If you think I'd ever be apart of you again you're sadly mistaken. Disgusting, the thought of it makes my skin crawl. But if you really think you can, then let's see what you've got." replied Super 18 ready for a fight.

"Hahaha, my dear android, you haven't got the slightest clue do you? I'm going to enjoy devouring you again." replied Cell delightly licking his lips.

Cell's lust for power deluded him from any thoughts of defeat. Now that he knows Gohan's power, he'll stop it nothing to absorb this new android. But he may discover it won't be so easy this time around. Not buying that her power has really increased that much, Cell attacks her head on with punches and kicks, to no avail. Super 18 quickly discovers that her strength is vastly superior to Cell, even in his perfect form. She easily pummels Cell with two powerful blows, a knee to the stomach, making his eyes bulge, and a chop to the back of his neck; both of which caused him great pain. Cell reels backwards holding his stomach, amazed at Super 18's strength.

"This...can't ...be. It's not possible...my design is superior! There's no way a lower model droid like you can surpass perfection!" said Cell in a breathtaking voice.

"What's wrong? Not winning as easily as you thought?" taunted Super 18.

"You fool! I am Cell! Do you hear me! I am the perfect warrior that has no equal in power, speed, or technique! There's no way an android of your capacity can rival me! I am the ultimate warrior!" replied a very angry Cell.

"You are nothing Cell. And now that the tables have turned, I'm going to make you pay for what you did seventeen, sixteen, and myself. We were perfectly fine until you showed up." replied Super 18.

"Ugh! You despicable android! You won't be talking so tough when I'm through with you!" replied Cell still angry.

Not buying Super 18's strength, Cell foolishly decides to attack her again, only to be abruptly crippled with an uppercut to his stomach, relentlessly puncturing her fist in his body, demonstrating that she had simply been using him as a warm up the entire time. Super 18 quickly began to show her sadistic side as blood drips out from the severe injury. Cell begins to twitch from the intense pain.

"Eight...eighteen...I was just doing what my designer intended...please don't kill me…" pleaded Cell in a muttered voice.

Super 18 smirks at Cell's submissiveness, and implore to live. The fear hit him greatly as he pleads to be spared. But his request is put on dear ears when the powerful android compiles her energy into her fist and blasts directly through Cell's stomach, erupting out his back, breaking through him completely. Cell is reduced down to his nucleus, where it too is vaporized, resulting in his death, putting an end to her quarrel with the maniacal monster once and for all. Super 18 quickly felt an invigorating rush from destroying Cell. Realizing her true potential is quite astonishing to her. But it still isn't over. Cell might be gone, but she still has unfinished business to settle with the Dragon Team. She returns to the battlefield where everyone's sight had just returned from Cell's Solar Flare.

(Note: This event works kinda similar to Goku defeating Frieza. Goku was the one who "defeated" Frieza and gets most of the credit for it. Later Future Trunks finished the job, killing Frieza and his father. Now this isn't taking the credit away from Gohan. He truly did defeat Cell, outclassed him in every way. I felt Cell coming back a second time after he blew himself up was a bit unrealistic and odd. Especially with him being weakened so much by Gohan. There's no way he could come back from an explosion like that, even if he can regenerate. Not to mention, Goku sacrificing himself for nothing. However, I feel Eighteen deserves to destroy Cell more than anyone. Cell humiliated the androids as she watched her brother be absorbed. Then later absorbing her too.)

The Dragon Team could no longer feel Cell's life force. Seeing Super 18 return with no sign of Cell was a clear indication that the Bio Android was no more.

"Hey, you feel that? Cell's energy signal has completely vanished." said Goku.

"Yeah, one moment it was there, then poof it's gone. You don't think Eighteen actually defeated Cell do you?" asked Krillin.

"Judging by the disappearance of Cell's energy. I'd say Cell underestimated this new android and lost. We shouldn't take any chances. This android could be the most dangerous one of them all." replied Piccolo.

"Yeah, now let's just hope she doesn't decide to come after us." replied Krillin with concern in his voice.

"Ha, Gohan will be fine. After the way he handled Cell I don't think there's anything to worry about." said Tien.

"I wouldn't be so sure. Do not underestimate the power of these androids. I've seen what a force like that creates. Like Piccolo said, this new android could be even stronger than Cell." explained Future Trunks.

The Dragon Team continues to watch the events unfold. Super 18 returns to the ground next to Gohan. As her feet touch the ground, she sets her sights on Gohan.

"Cell...he's gone." said Gohan.

"That's right, I took care of him. Quite ironic isn't it?" replied Super 18.

"But it was my fight." replied Gohan slightly upset.

"Ugh, spare me your ridiculous testimony Gohan. You had your chance to finish Cell. If your upset, then blame yourself for being so naive." replied Super 18.

"But that's not fair!" replied Gohan slightly frustrated.

"Fair? I don't care what you call it. Stay out of my way and I might let you live." replied Super 18.

Gohan didn't know what to say next. He wasn't sure if Super 18 was completely evil or not.

"Now it's time to take care of some unfinished business." said Super 18 with a sincere.

"Huh? Unfinished business?" replied a baffled Gohan.

Puzzled by what she meant, Gohan watches the Super Android closely as she decides to play a quick game by pointing at each member of the Dragon Team on the cliffside with her finger, simulating a game of tag, silently counting each of them one by one. This is a clever attempt to chose her next target. Knowing she can never settle the score with the Trunks of her timeline, instead she decides killing the Trunks of this time will suffice. Unexpected and caught off guard, Super 18 mercilessly kills Future Trunks by firing a laser from her finger, piercing his chest, shocking everyone. A nice smile comes to her face shortly after this.

The sudden death of his Trunks greatly enraged Gohan. Eager to avenge his friend, Gohan powers up to his maximum. But the one who felt Trunks' death the most was Vegeta. After watching his son twitch to stay alive, Vegeta quickly builds up a silent rage within him.

"Trunks...my son…" muttered Vegeta.

Hurt beyond belief, Vegeta recaps the events of the Cell Games up to this point, realizing that he completely ignored his son and never showed him any type of gratitude.

"How could I let this happen to my son? He has sacrificed everything for me, and I've done nothing but ignore him!...No! I won't give up on him! There's still time to change things! This android has crossed me for the last time! She has humiliated me in battle, mocked my saiyan pride, but this! This time she's gone too far! She will pay the ultimate price for what has happened to my son!" furiously said Vegeta in his mind.

Vegeta explodes, screaming with rage and transforms into a Super Saiyan. He aggressively attacks Super 18 out of rage by firing a Maximum Flasher followed up with multiple ki blasts, covering her and the surrounding area smoke. Vegeta had nothing but revenge, anger, and sadness on his mind. He continues the barrage of relentless ki blasts, giving the android everything he has, until finally tiring out. Vegeta's rage impaired his battle tactics, using up nearly all his energy in one outburst. After the massive barrage, the smoke clears, revealing Super 18 intact and completely unharmed as a result of using "Android Barrier" Everyone, including Vegeta was completely shocked.

"How cute Vegeta, showing your real feelings for your son. Unfortunately it wasn't enough I'm afraid." taunted Super 18.

This angered Vegeta more. Not caring about anything else but revenge, Vegeta foolishly charges the powerful android. His decision leads to being clobbered with one massive chop to his neck, sending him skidding sideways across the ground where he's knocked out cold. Super 18 quickly grew tired of Vegeta's stubbornness and decides to finish him off with a ki blast from her palm. However, Gohan quickly jumps in front of Vegeta, taking the blast head on. Due to this, Gohan suffers a broken left arm, rendering it useless.

Shocked that Gohan would do such a thing, Super 18 felt slightly disappointed in Gohan, "What a fool. Why would Gohan sacrifice himself to save Vegeta? I will never understand the way these saiyans think." she said.

Gohan awoke and slowly stood up, struggling the entire time. The pain was quite intense as his crippled arm drips with blood.

"I warned you not to get in my way Gohan." said Super 18.

Gohan stood his ground, showing that he wouldn't back down.

"I do hope your not planning on continuing this fight. I wouldn't want you suffer." said Super 18 sarciscally.

Seeing Gohan in pain brought a smile to her face. Like her future counterpart, this 18 delights in pain and chaos. But her joy is halted when Goku uses Instant Transmission, appearing behind her, respectively trying a sneak attack. Unbeknownst to Goku, not only has Super 18's strength increased, but also her knowledge of the Dragon Team's abilities. Meaning, she's aware of Goku's Instant Transmission Technique; resulting in his sneak attack being parried with one blow to his gut with her elbow. The pain hit Goku hard. He fell to his knees reverting to base form. The blow was so traumatizing that it threw Goku's body into shock. Super 18 took great pleasure in his pain. She kneels down, smirking at Goku, "You should learn not to interfere with someone's fight. That's quite rude you know?" she said, taunting his foolishness.

Gohan couldn't bare to watch his father in pain. Despite his useless arm, Gohan charges the super advanced killing machine from behind. Unfortunately for him, 18 expected this, and pummels him with a swift kick to his face, veering him skidding backwards across the ground, paralyzing him for a short moment. Super 18 looks back at Goku, "Don't worry, I'm not going to kill you yet Goku. Save the best for last." she said with a smirk.

The others on the cliff side watch the horror unfold. Astonished by Super 18's power, Piccolo remembers the bag of senzu beans Krillin brought with him before the start of the Cell Games, "Krillin! They need help! Throw em a senzu bean!" he desperately demanded.

"But we don't have any left." replied Krillin.

Piccolo then remembers that the last of the beans were used up after their fight with the Cell Juniors. With this in mind, he came to the conclusion that Gohan can no longer defeat the enemy on his own as he did with Cell. Piccolo powers up, and flies into the battlefield, eager to help his friend.

"No wait! Piccolo!" shouted Krillin with his voice echoing throughout the scenery.

Krillin felt Piccolo's decision was not well thought out and needlessly foolish.

"Where did Piccolo's brain go? Does he really think he can save them all by himself?" asked Krillin, astonished and confused at the same time.

"He doesn't think he can. But he's gonna try anyway." replied Tien displaying a serious face.

"Tien? Don't tell me your going pull a Piccolo on me!" asked a baffled Krillin.

"Sorry Krillin, but it's just not my style to wait for death without putting up a decent fight." replied Tien as his energy flows through him.

Tien's words made Yamcha feel confident. Realizing that there's no point to hide, Yamcha powers up, "Hey Krillin! I'll leave Trunks with you!" he requested.

"What? Now your going?" asked Krillin.

Yamcha nods his head, signalling that he's indeed going with Tien. The two fly off to assist Piccolo. Krillin didn't think their efforts would make a difference, but he too is no coward. Krillin powers up and rushes into to help his friends.

Piccolo attacks the super android from behind with a Masenko, but fails to do so much as make her flinch. Super 18 quickly makes Piccolo pay with two mighty blows; a knee to the guy, making him expel blood from his mouth, and a double fist to his back. Piccolo plummets to the ground making a huge crater where he's knocked out cold.

The others jump in, Tien and Yamcha attack the powerful android from opposite sides of her; Tien using his Tri-Beam, and Yamcha using Spirit Ball, striking her multiple times until exploding. But to no avail, the android is completely unharmed. The weaker fighters are nothing more than flies to her. She nearly kills both of them with a single blow to each of them. With all the annoyances out of the way, Super 18 set her sights on Gohan, ready to finish what he, and the others started.

"Now, where were we? Oh yeah, you we're just about to give up right?" taunted Super 18 with a crude look.

"I'm not giving up...no way! This is for my dad!" said Gohan in his mind.

Gohan, in a last-ditch effort, summons a large Kamehameha with his only usable arm. He rears his arm back, "Ka...me...ha...me…HA!" he shouts, firing a massive wave at the android.

Super 18 quickly puts up "Android Barrier" completely nullifying Gohan's attack, shocking him in the process. Knowing that Gohan's strength is slowly deteriorating, Super 18 drops her guard completely and slowly walks towards Gohan with a ferocious look, startling him. The petrified Gohan began to back away as she approached him. His handicap made running away nearly impossible. Super 18 grabs Gohan by the throat, and lifts him off the ground. She slowly begins to choke him, smirking at the thought of crushing the life out of Gohan. Out of energy, Gohan becomes a helpless child, gasping for air, he desperately to breathe. But the deadly android didn't show a single sign of mercy. She tightens her grip, making a violent cracking sound, brutally strangling Gohan. Super 18 indulgences herself by torturing Gohan, knowing she could break the young Super Saiyan's neck with ease at this point. Finally she tightens more to where his neck is just a few moments away from breaking.

Goku tries to rescue his son by attempting a flying kick, interrupting her torment. Unfortunately Goku's clever attempt backfires when Super 18 throws Gohan into his father, pushing both of them back. The powerful clash makes the whole area shake. Just like that Super 18 neutralized the entire Dragon Team. Soon to find out Krillin is the only one left to stand in her way. She quickly notices Krillin's nervousness, and walks towards him, brushing her hair behind her ear at the same time. As she gets closer, Krillin nearly suffers a heart attack from intense fear.

"The Eighteen inside of me remembers your kindness Krillin. For that I'm willing to let you go." said Super 18, kissing him on the cheek afterwards.

(Note: As stated before, both the present 18, and the alternate timeline 18 are within Super 18, meaning personality traits from both androids are displayed. This is almost identical to when Goku and Vegeta fuse into Vegito, sharing a body, as well as the same thoughts. Vegito would often display the personality of Goku and/or Vegeta at different times.)

Krillin lets out a sigh of relief, and his fear slightly decreases. However, Krillin knew he is the only one left who can still fight. He can't just sit by and watch this android kill all his friends. As Super 18 walks away from him, Krillin forms a Destructo Disc and this throws it her. The razor-sharp disc just barely misses her, cutting a tiny bit of her hair off. This enraged Super 18, bringing out her sadistic side once again, "Your idiot! I was willing to let you live! But after that stunt you just pulled it's time I taught you a very painful, deadly lesson!" she said marching towards Krillin in an anger manor.

Krillin's fear almost doubled from what it was previously. Super 18 grabs Krillin's Gi, lifting him off the ground helplessly.

"What are you gonna do to me?" asked Krillin in a terrified voice.

"I'm going to punch a hole completely through your head." replied Super 18 in an irate voice.

She starts to rear her free fist back while Krillin looks on in fear. He closed his eyes knowing there is no escaping this. Krillin could do nothing but watch the last few moments of his life. Just before her fist connects, Krillin is saved at the very last second by Gohan blasting Super 18 in the back with a ki blast. She drops Krillin, completely forgetting about him. Now more enraged with Gohan, Super 18 decides to not play around anymore. The two clash, and despite great effort, Gohan can't keep up with the super android due to his injury. She easily pummels him with mighty blows; one of which is a strong knee to the nose. Gohan staggers backwards holding his face while it drips with blood. This did not look good for him at all.

Meanwhile, a very injured Goku calls to his best friend, "Krillin! Come here! Quick! Gohan needs our help!" he urgently shouts.

Krillin runs over, "What is Goku?" he asked.

"My body's thrashed. I can't use it anymore. But you can still fight." replied Goku.

"I'm sorry Goku, but that android is just too powerful. I wouldn't last a minute against her." replied Krillin.

"I know, It's okay Krillin. I've got a plan. Come closer, I have some energy to give you." replied Goku.

"What? Umm, no offense Goku, but you look like you don't have any energy to spare." replied Krillin.

"I know, but it's not my energy. I gathered a bunch of energy earlier from the earth while I was laying here. I informed Gohan of the plan too. A simple distraction is all we needed." replied Goku.

Goku lifts his hand up, "Please Krillin, it's time, take my hand." he requested.

"But are you sure I can handle it?" asked Krillin skeptical of this plan.

"Yes, you have to Krillin. It's our last shot at saving the earth. Please!" demanded Goku.

"Well okay, I hope your right." replied Krillin as he grabs Goku's hand.

In this short moment, Goku passes on his gathered energy to Krillin, who manages to form it into a ball, creating a Spirit Bomb.

"Woah! A Spirit Bomb!" said Krillin in disbelief.

"That's right, it should be enough to stop her if you can hit her with it." replied Goku.

"Umm...yeah...if." replied Krillin sarcastically.

"Listen, clear your mind. You can do this. I believe in you. Just remember we only have one shot at this. Make it count. Put an end to Dr. Gero's sick ambition once and for all. Do it Krillin!" replied Goku.

"Right, got it. I'll do my best Goku." replied Krillin with confidence.

Remembering the similar event during the battle with Vegeta, Krillin knows he must get pretty close for this to work. Though he still has his doubts due to still caring about Eighteen, as well as the kiss on the highway, and the one just a few moments ago. His feelings clouds his judgement, similar to when Bulma gave him the remote control to deactivate Eighteen before Cell absorbed her. Despite these feelings, Krillin knew what's at stake. Once again it's up to him to make the right call. He moves within range of the super android, who has beaten Gohan to near death. She pounds the young Super Saiyan hard into the ground, making a huge crater. Then she lands on his tailbone, making him scream, restraining him in the process. Finally ready to end the battle, Super 18 points her palm downwards and charges energy in her hand to finish Gohan when she notices the bright blue light of the Spirit Bomb.

"Nice day...I came here to kill you." said Krillin with a serious face.

"With that? Please, don't make me laugh. Have you learned nothing from the battle thus far. Leave now, and I might consider giving you another chance. I'm in the middle of something here." said Super 18.

"I'm sorry, but I can't let you do this. Please, I know you don't want to do this. If Eighteen is really apart of you, then remember the good times. We fought Cell together, I tried to stop him from absorbing you and I failed. But now is a chance to start over. Do you remember that day just before Cell absorbed you?" asked Krillin.

"Yes, I do, you had that remote to shut me down, but you didn't. You took a big risk in letting me go. You never explained why either. Why would you be interested in helping me?" asked Super 18 thinking back to that moment.

"I couldn't tell you before...but...it's because...I...love you." admitted Krillin while blushing.

Hearing Krillin's true feelings for her shocked Super 18. She never really suspected this, nor has she ever received help from anyone besides her brother 17 and 16. Krillin's kindness and consideration sparks a feeling in Super 18 that she's never felt before, triggering a struggle within her mind. She dropped to her knees, holding her head in agony. A battle of good and evil is taking place in her mind. Krillin could easily vaporize the android right now with the Spirit Bomb, but he waits in anticipation.

Super 18 screams in pain as she struggles to hold herself together. A flash of light appears around her, ejecting the evil android "18" from her body, cleansing the evil that was within her. Krillin finally acts, firing the Spirit Bomb at the evil counterpart, creating a violent updraft of blue light. The evil android is ripped apart, and consumed by the Spirit Bomb, until finally exploding in a blinding blue flash of light.

Super 18, now called Super Eighteen, retains all the powers of Super Android 18 without the evil desire within her, meaning she now has full control of her new power and is no longer interested in carrying out Dr. Gero's vendetta. She stood up, amazed by what happened, looking at her hands and body, noticing she did not return to her original form.

(Note: Eighteen is allowed to keep the super android power and appearance due to the fact that her DNA remembered that power. This is quite similar to the original story where Cell realized that he couldn't beat Gohan. So he blew himself up to prevent Gohan from winning. However, Cell's own explosion only reduced him to his core. After regenerating he received a zenkai boost so massive that he was able to retain his perfect form without 18 integrated into his body. This was due to the fact that his cells remembered Eighteen's power and her DNA. There's no telling if Dr. Gero made a similar ability to Androids 17 & 18. After all, a lot of his inventions that were never finished or had different features then what they were originally designed for (Such as Android 16) It's unknown what the androids were truly capable of. But I think it's safe to assume that 17 & 18 had more potential than what Dr. Gero originally intended.)

"Alright! We did it! Eighteen! Your back to normal!" shouted Krillin with joy.

Krillin could tell Super Eighteen was back to her old self by the look in her eyes. It wasn't the same look her evil counterpart had.

"Krillin! Get away from that android now! It's not over until she is dead!" shouted Gohan from behind charging another Kamehameha.

Krillin quickly jumps in front of her holding his arms out, defending her, "No Gohan! This isn't the same android we've been fighting. She's changed into a whole new person. Remember Vegeta and Piccolo?" he said sticking up for the android.

"Yeah, but we can't take any chances! Now move!" demanded Gohan.

Goku, who was eavesdropping on the conversation, "It's okay Gohan...if Krillin feels it's right then we should trust him. Our friends are not our enemies Gohan. Krillin's right, Piccolo and Vegeta we're pure evil when we first met them, but they eventually saw past the darkness." he explained.

Gohan thought for a moment, recapping the events of his time with Piccolo while Goku was training with King Kai after his death against Raditz. Piccolo took care of Gohan, which ended up changing Piccolo in the process. Gohan deactivates the energy in his hand, and reverts to base form, "I sure hope you're right about this." he said still a little skeptical.

"Excellent! Now you're finally one of us! And hey, if you need a play to stay, I'm sure Master Roshi might have some room available." said Krillin looking back at the android.

"Master Roshi?" asked Super Eighteen.

"Oh yeah, I forgot you haven't met everyone yet. But that'll change in time. For now, let's get back to the Lookout where we can fix all the mess that Cell made." said Krillin.

Everyone finally awoke, though skeptical of the android, they eventually accepted her to the team. For the most part they're still quite afraid as she still has the power to kill most of them without much effort. The Dragon Team (now with her added) return to the Lookout where Dende heals the team. Afterwards they summon Shenron; proclaiming their wishes. The first one being to repair all the damage done by Cell, and the second to restore the life of Future Trunks.

A newly re-energized Goku welcomes Super Eighteen to the team as one of the strongest fighters on the planet, possible the universe. After a long discussion and laughing together, life returns to normal. Krillin and Eighteen move into Kame House with Master Roshi. It took a little getting used to, but Eighteen accepted her new life, though she ends up liking Krillin more than she thought. Later it was announced on TV that Mr. Satan beat Cell. So he ends up getting the credit as usual.

My thoughts: I really liked this story because DBZ deserves to have a badass female character/fighter and I'm sure a lot of people would agree that this is more preferable over having Eighteen be a stay at home mom that does nothing. Though DBZ is not always about fighting, I think it's safe to say this fits her character better. I chose to not let Goku die during the cell saga because I wanted interaction between Goku and Eighteen.

Also the Buu Saga negates the original ending of the Cell saga. Goku was supposed to stay dead with Gohan being the leader. But the Buu saga erases all of this. So I thought it best to not have Goku die so it doesn't feel so contradictory. The Buu saga made Goku's death have no meaning at all. It might as well not have happened.

There has never really been any dialogue between Goku and Eighteen, and with Krillin being his best friend, this made no sense. Though it's ingrained in her DNA to hate Goku, still she never got to know Krillin's best friend. But that's all about to change! I see no reason why there cannot be a female character able to keep up with the top fighters. At the end of cell saga Android 18 was already in the top five strongest fighters on earth, placing her slightly underneath Piccolo.

If there was a Super Eighteen. She would no doubt be very strong. Remember that Super Eighteen was brought about by a fusion and it's not just two android 18s combined power. Fusion is known to not only combine but multiple the user's power. Like in GT, Super 17 was not just 17+17. It was a fusion that made a much more powerful android. Similar to the fusion dance or potara earrings. Super Android, like how there was a Super Perfect Cell.

Fusion can make someone weaker significantly stronger. Like Goten and Trunks going from standard super saiyans to equal with Super Buu after fusion. The androids were already stronger then super saiyans to begin with. So I don't think it's fair to say Super Eighteen is too strong. The androids were always meant to be amazingly strong.

The artificial humans were designed to be saiyan busters. Dr. Gero obviously understood a bit of saiyan physiology so I don't find it hard to believe that 17 & 18 were designed to be able to keep up with the saiyans. People vastly overlook the potential in these androids. Android 18 easily has and deserves the capability of keeping up with the saiyans. They have unlimited energy, so they could train much harder for longer periods of time as well.

There is nothing wrong with a character becoming stronger. As long as there is a logical explanation behind it. This has happened many times throughout DBZ. Examples are, Piccolo fused with Nail to catch up to Frieza's 2nd form. Then he later fused with Kami who was his other half in order to catch up to Android 17. Vegeta and Future Trunks used the hyperbolic time chamber to catch up to Cell's 2nd form (Also known as Semi-Perfect Cell)

Goku and Gohan had to train in the hyperbolic time chamber to catch up with Perfect Cell after he absorbed the androids. DBZ always had an explanation whenever a character got stronger. Gohan had his power unlock by elder kai in the buu saga. This scenario with Android 18 is no different. Just because she is a female character doesn't mean she cannot get a power increase like the rest of the cast has before. Nor do I see any legit reason this cannot exist.

Cell even stated himself, and I quote "The powers of Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, and so many others fail in comparison to the androids." Not only was he after them because he was designed to, but because they gave him the greatest source of power he could get. He did not go after them for no reason. Not to mention, Android 18 gave Cell a much bigger power increase then 17 did.

Before Piccolo fused with Kami and the hyperbolic time chamber. It could easily be said that Android 18 most likely could have taken on all the Z-Fighters at once with little problem. Both 17 & 18 were capable of taking everyone out without much effort. Thus why a movie was made about it. I don't see a problem at all with her being this strong. You may be skeptical at first. But that is only because you're not used to it yet.

There is a reason why Future Trunks feared these androids in his time. They have the power to knock a fully powered super saiyan out cold in a single blow. As we saw this when Eighteen fought Vegeta. Then taking on the rest of the cast as if they were children. Trunks didn't travel 20 years from the future for no reason. In his timeline the androids defeated everyone except for Gohan and Trunks. Not to mention nearly the entire planet's population.

In some ways, I kinda wish 17 & 18 had stayed the main villains instead of Cell. Cell was an amazing villain of course. But I found 17 & 18 to be more interesting. The writers built them up as if they were going to be something big. But then changed it to Cell. Then after Gohan beat Cell. Eighteen became the wife of Krillin and was never used again. She serves no purpose other than being the wife of Krillin.

This is my problem with DBZ a lot of the time. Why do you have all these strong characters if you're never going to use them again? Characters who at one point used to be one of the strongest fighters. Seems like the credit is always given to Goku or Vegeta (Mainly Goku) I don't see the point in having a cast of characters if your only going to give the credit to one person most of the time; they might as well not exist.

Also to clarify a few things. It is true that 17 & 18 to get stronger from training. This is due to the fact that they are both 50% human. Many people are confused about this. They DO NOT have fixed power levels. Unlike Android 16 who was made entirely of metal. We know the human characters like Krillin, Yamcha, Tien can get stronger. The androids have more potential then what you might think. Having unlimited energy is also a plus. There is no evidence stating against any of this. But if your curious, stated below is the facts about 17 & 18.

"The modified-human types like No. 17 and No. 18, since they're human-based they can become stronger if they train. Though they don't need to eat, they do need to hydrate. Also, their cells deteriorate slowly, so they age slowly too. They also have mechanical alterations done to their bodies to increase their power to rival saiyans."

The androids were designed to rival saiyans, Dr. Gero just didn't continue with 17 & 18 because they wouldn't obey him.

The entire purpose of this story is to have a female character/fighter that can keep up with the more powerful characters. Super Eighteen has to be very strong in order to stay relevant for this story. If not she would be a useless character around the time Buu is hatched. However she will not be the strongest character throughout this whole story. But hey, maybe you're into useless characters.

Strange how if Goku, Gohan, or Vegeta, get a power increase, no one questions a single thing. But if anyone else catches up to them or even comes close to their power, suddenly everyone is against that idea. What I have done here with Android 18 is not unreasonable. It just takes analyzing it to truly understand. The Z-Warriors had to train intensely for years to get anywhere close to the androids power. Not to mention they were warned about them so they had time to prepare. Android 18 was already above super saiyan from the moment she was introduced with no training of any kind. So for her to be around Super Saiyan 2 level after a power increase is not outrageous. It's not like Super Eighteen is stronger than Super Vegito. This is no different from anyone else who got a power increase.

Also to clear some things up. Though the Cell saga made Gohan the most powerful of the Z-Warriors, keep in mind of what his character actually is: a terrible fighter with a high power level. He has no tactic for beating anyone close to or stronger than him. Unless he is more powerful than his opponent by an overwhelming margin, Gohan gets stomped every single time. Nor is he one of the smartest fighters either. This is a clear fact, as this has happened throughout the entire series. While I did enjoy the Cell Saga, I feel it ended poorly for the most part. Gohan becoming the hero at the end feels out of left field and really unnatural considering how little Gohan does in the story leading up to it. Goku, Vegeta, Trunks, Piccolo, Krillin, and even Tien all do more than Gohan leading up to the Cell Games.

Gohan is single-handedly responsible for the death of Goku, Future Trunks, and almost Vegeta too if hadn't saved him. And if we count the events of this story, Eighteen would have never been spat out, and Super Eighteen would have never happened had Gohan finished off Cell when he had the chance. He couldn't control his emotions nor was he focused on the fight until the death of his father. Cell is a very intelligent fighter, and outsmarted Gohan, self-destructing himself to take everyone with him, which again, would not have happened if Gohan had done his job. If anyone else was in Gohan's place, Cell would have been finished for sure.

Notice how after Cell came back, he broke Gohan's arm in one blast, also struggled against a Kamehameha. It wasn't till he received guidance from his father and used his full power did he barely beat Cell. Not to mention Vegeta's final attack. Gohan has always had to have someone bail him out, or help him in every fight. To be honest, main Gohan is highly overrated; Future Gohan on the other hand was a brilliant fighter, much more intelligent than the Gohan of the main timeline. If Future Gohan had the power of Main Gohan, the Cell saga would have ended a long time ago. Overall, Future Gohan was a far more interesting character, and, a mentor too.

It is not unrealistic at all for Android 18 to be this strong. 17 & 18 could easily be the top most powerful beings in the universe if the correct things fell in place for them. The androids are so underrated that it's beyond belief of why they were never used again after Cell. Future Trunk constantly kept saying how scary they were supposed to be, and now it's like their thrown to the wayside. Android 18 certainly has the capability of becoming one of the most powerful fighters. She can get stronger than most people think. It only makes sense for her to fill this role, as well as be apart of the Z-Warriors for upcoming battles.

I'd rather every character be thought out and not sidelined to become useless. Android 18 is actually very underrated. She deserves way more credit than what she's given. It's a shame the creator couldn't see this. I like to think there's still some reasonable Dragon Ball fans out there who don't only want a story focused around Goku and Vegeta.
