The security guard let us through, without giving a verbal invitation, after he saw the invite that Kol had pried out of the previous owner's dead cold hands. Thank you Tessa, without you my plan wouldn't have even started.

Arm in arm we stepped into the house, I shivered as I took the first step in. It was glamorously decorated, high glass chandeliers and the like. The house was quite full already, for a secret society this looked fully booked. I glanced at the bar and saw Caroline, sipping on champagne while scanning the room with her eyes. Next to her was Elijah, with a more relaxed pose even if in a suit, looking like a king amongst the peasants.

By how the two of them were acting, Enzo still hadn't been brought out.

"I guess the man of the hour has yet to appear." Kol commented lightly and leaned against the wall, he had found a good place to see the action in the room.

"Seems like it." I replied dryly. Being the a room full of rich assholes was definitly not how I imagine spending my free time.

"Darling, I have a question." Kol inquired, narrowing his eyes slightly. "Why did you tell the lovely Caroline it was your first murder when I remember you gallantly saving her from the wolves by murdering a bunch of them?"

I glanced at him, wondering why he was asking this. Was it because he thought I had lied? Either way, it didn't matter but I suppose a bit of mindless chit chat might make time fly faster.

"I have a teacher, her name is Gloria." I replied as if telling a tale. "When I was young I studied a whole summer with her in her bar in Chicago. One time this raving vampire entered the bar and demanded a sunlight ring."

Kol stared at her silently, quietly listening to where this story was going.

"I still remember... Gloria was behind the counter pouring herself something to drink when he came in." I continued. "She didn't reply, she didn't laugh and she didn't even bat an eyelash. I saw her hand move and the next second the vampire's head was rolling on the floor. I was shocked at the time but I didn't make any noise. Gloria looked at my wide eyes and told me 'Little Bon Bon, you're a witch and this is a normal day in the life of a witch. You are part of another world, the supernatural world, and in our world blood, death, and chaos reign supreme. In the human world, if you kill someone you're a murderer and will be arrested but there isn't a prison for lawbreakers in our world, it's kill or be killed. We might have the same weaknesses as humans but we're witches, and in our world, we aren't murdering we're just surviving'."

"So you don't considerer killing the wolves murder because they're supernatural?" Kol asked intrigued with her point of view.

"Well, first of all, they started it... them dying by my hand was just karma being a bitch. Nobody told them to come after Caroline. But yes, I don't think it's murder. Vampires, werewolves, and witches are all part of the supernatural club, we all know that whenever we meet another member of the club we might not survive the night. Humans, on the other hand, aren't members. They're the bunnies that get roadkilled when the rest of us don't care about a speeding ticket."

"And yet you literally ran a few bunnies of the road tonight?" The Original inquired, amused by her lack of moral compass.

I rolled my eyes at his amusement, why did the fact that I didn't particularly care about killing made him look at me as if I was the most interesting thing in the room? Such a psycho.

"I never cared about a speeding ticket before, I sure as hell ain't gonna mind the fact that some neo-nazi bunnies got killed for my plan to work." I replied with a vicious smirk, I could play psycho too 'darling'.

"I like it." He simply replied, grinning back. The smirk on my face got a bit more forced, I wasn't going to admit that I had a bit of fun bickering with this thousand year old brat because that would seem like a defeat.

I was about to reply when a loud voice was heard. "I invite you all to join us in fifteen minutes in the parlor."

"I guess the party is about to begin." I commented as I saw Caroline and Elijah starting to move. "Shall we go in?" I asked the Original who still hadn't moved from his spot.

"Wait a minute, I want to check something," Kol replied, looking around the room, his grinning expression gone. Normally I would ignore it and just go ahead with my plan, but in this case, I studied his expression. While Kol Mikaelson is a maniac, he was also the only one that knew about fucking Silas. Not listening to Kol got cannon Bonnie killed, and right now the always smirking vampire had a serious expression on his face. Better safe than sorry.

"What's going on?" I asked in a quiet tone, looking around the room trying to understand his changing mood.

"Do you see that mark on the ceiling?" Kol asked, using his eyes to urge me to look in the same direction. I followed his gaze and on the top of the all, on the other side of the room, was a rune drawn in black ink.

"What kind of rune is that?" I asked, narrowing my eyes to try and see it better.

"I think I know." He replied, before turning towards me. "Try using your magic."

"In the middle of a anti-supernatural neo-nazi party? Seriously?" I turned towards him frowning, sounding much like Care when people are stupid around her.

"Give me some of that magic popping brains you witches are so fond of..." He whispered, getting closer. "If you can't find it in yourself to hurt this gorgeous face, of course, I can understand."

I slightly pushed him from my personal bubble and glared at him. I pushed all my magic into popping his blood vessels... One second, two seconds...

... and nothing.

Kol Mikaelson threw me another smirk and patted me on the head.

"Don't pout so much, so you couldn't hurt this gorgeous face ... you have good taste after all." He said as if coaching a child.

I slapped his hand from my head and frowned. "What the fuck is going on?"

The smirk quickly slid out of his face and Kol glanced once more at the rune. "It's a Chinese scripture, part of a magical ward. This ward was created by the Buddist Monks and used by the Chinese nobility to ward off spirits and demons but in fact, it's an anti-magic ward that stops the use of active magic. It's quite surprising how this bunch got such a thing in place. How do you feel?" He asked, gazing at me.

I took a deep breath and thought about it. I wasn't in pain, but I did remember that cold shiver I felt went I stepped into the house. I tried to feel my magic but I couldn't, not completely. I could feel the ice in my veins tho, but not the fire and definitely not the earth.

"Most of it it's blocked I think." I whispered, not liking the fact that I'm in the middle of a Hydra Base with no powers.

Kol arched his eyebrow, surprised. "Not all of it?"

I hummed, while nodding, in reply.

"Interesting." He whispered, before turning towards the bar. "You mingle with my darling brother and the baby vampire, I'll get us a drink."

I really needed a drink, or maybe the whole bottle.

"Brink me vodka," I replied, before walking towards the door I had seen Caroline walkthrough. Almost powerless in an enemy camp, I guess Care can be the muscle in this relationship this time.

"Greetings, member of our super-secret society." Caroline said as I reached her.

I turned towards Elijah with a frown. "Please tell me you haven't left her on her own, because if you have everyone already knows we weren't invited."

"All is well."Elijah replied in assurance, but I could see he was amused at Care's lack of finesse.

"They don't use names here, how am I suppose to greet people like this?" Caroline pouted as we silently made fun of her.

"Just say 'greetings'." I replied rolling my eyes at her drama. "Just don't sound like your mother talking about sex."

"Where is my brother?" Elijah asked, looking around for the little trouble maker.

"He went to the bar, should be here soon." I replied, before I could say anything else the man that had called us all to the parlor made himself known.

"Greeting dear guests, once more we are here to enjoy the contributions of the Augustine Society to the world." The older man, who was using a mask, said greeting the guests. "Tonight we shall have a taste of immortality, how does that sound?"

The crowd roared in delight, clapping their hands.

Then from the corner of the room, two men pushed in a heavy object that was covered with a dark cloak.

"I guess I came just in time." Kol whispered from behind me, breaking my concentration. I glanced at him and took the glass from his hand, shit was about to hit the fan.

"Ladies and gentlemen, who wants to have a taste of our oldest specimen?" The man asked, taking the cloak and revealing a cage. Inside the cage was Enzo, who was just leaning against the bars like a bored and lazy house cat.

Clapping was heard throughout the room.

"Gents, you really know how to make a man feel wanted." Enzo lazily replied, but you could feel the hate emanating from his eyes.

The man with a mask turned to the caged vampire and sprinkled the cage with water. Enzo hissed like an angry feline, fangs showing and all, after his skin burned from the vervain infested water.

"What now?" Caroline asked, frowning at the scene in front of us.

"Kill them all quickly?" Kol replied. "Or do it slowly while enjoying mealtime? After all, this is a date. What do you think Bon Bon?"

"We need a distraction." I replied, trying to think of a plan.

However, before any of us could come up with a decent enough plan someone screamed. We turned our heads to see a woman running into the room. "Fire! There's fire!"

"Well, would you look at that. A distraction right on time." Elijah commented, unbothered.

Before I could even say anything else, people started to panic and within a blink, Elijah had flashed to Enzo's cage and opened it.

Enzo smirked and took a step out of the cage.

By now the humans weren't sure about what to panic about, either the fire or the supernatural monsters in the room. Only Enzo didn't really give them time to think about it and started ripping throats. Kol joined him after sending me a wink, while Elijah just ripped out heads and hearts while looking classy.

Meanwhile, I was watching it all happen like I was watching an action movie, or maybe a horror one.

"So this is my first murder party. I'm not sure if I should be horrified or horny." Caroline commented while taking in the scene with wide eyes.

"I'm pretty sure you can be both." I replied with a grin before I started to cough. The smoke was starting to get worse, it was getting harder to see and harder to breathe. The fire had already spread to the room we were in.

Which brings us to the present

"There's no exit, everything is on bloody fire." Enzo said, checking the doors for escape routes.

"Good thing we have an ice witch to fight off the hot flames." Kol said, before turning slowly and dramatically towards me. Was I the only one that remembered that ice melted because of fire? Or that most of my powers were blocked by the chinese runes or whatnot?

"Fine." I said, rolling my eyes. Of course, I was getting our ass out of the flames. Town witch does the impossible again, why the fuck not? "This, however, doesn't mean this is a date."

I turned to the closest door, which was burning quickly, and put my hand's ups. I closed my eyes and focused. I've never actually done this before, but there's a first for everything. Plus, I didn't feel like dying again and since I was with a bunch of vampires I was the one in more danger anyway. Sucks to be Bon the witch I guess.

Breath in, breath out. It was hard as fuck, every time I froze the water it melted from the fire. As it continued to burn, the water in the air too would disappear and evaporate.

"Come on Bonnie you got this." Caroline called out, always the cheerleader.

"And do it quickly Maze." Enzo said, as he and Elijah kept on ripping hearts from the few Augustine assholes still alive.

"You're impossible witch, do the impossible." Kol said from close by, his voice almost whispered in my ear.

I focused on the ice, on the cold. I remember the cold Decembers. The snowy days, ice cream on hot days. The cold seawater on my skin, my feet without socks on the stone-cold floor. Forgetting the hot flames around me in the room all I could feel and remember was the ice and the cold.

I am Bonnie freaking Bennett, and in case anyone was doubting it, I am fucking epic.

With a scream I let out all the rage inside, some puny fire wasn't going to kill me.

That was the last thing I remember from that night.

I woke up the next morning on my bed smelling like blood, ashes, and barbecue.

Basically, worst date ever.

Later that night

Kol Mikaelson threw his full of dust suit jacket into Elijah's couch and walked towards the only visible bottle of booze to fill himself a glass. After all the bloodshed he needed a glass of alcohol to relax.

"Do make yourself comfortable." Elijah dryly commented from the door, glancing couch that was now dirtied with ashes and blood.

"No need to tell me twice." Kol grinned and sat down on the couch, taking a sip. Elijah carefully watched him, before walking into the room and having a seat in from of his wild brother.

"You seem to have enjoyed yourself tonight brother." Elijah said.

"It was just what I needed to remember what not having a dagger in the heart feels like." The Wildest Original replied with a grin. "You know, the dagger you and our dear brother decided I would like for Christmas? Worst present ever, mind you. Even worse than that time Bekah decided to eat my date on my birthday."

"I have already apologized for my hand in that matter." Elijah replied. "And I also compensated you, I did not interfere in your little game tonight."

"It's not a game." Kol replied, narrowing his eyes. "It was a test."

"Burning the room down after knowing the witch didn't have her magic and pushing her to almost kill herself in order to stop it, you call that a test?" Elijah replied with a scoff. "I would call it assisted suicide."

"Not my fault the caged vampire had forgotten that he had enough strength to escape a fire or that the baby vampire doesn't know yet what a vampire can do. They could have easily escaped and taken the witch with them." Kol replied with a shrug.

"You forget that I know you brother, do not pretend it didn't go exactly according to your plan." Elijah dryly replied. "Was it worth it? If she ever finds out you might find yourself on the wrong side of the dagger brother, and this time it would be Miss Bennett to put you down."

"Thanks to the ward I have figured out that my little witch is more than a witch, more than a seer even. She's a hybrid, though luck on Nik tho ... I guess he isn't all that special anymore." Kol commented with a grin. Imagining his witch with a dagger on her hand on the other hand gave him a mental shudder. He had better make sure Elijah kept his mouth closed.

He also had to thank those Augustine humans, too bad they were all already dead, without that Chinese ward he wouldn't have thought of it. Bonnie had her magic blocked, as all witches would have, but she still had her ice. He already knew she had become something else, but he hadn't thought about the fact that she was still a witch. The fact that the ward affected her, but not completely, meant that she was both. And since all the manipulation and control over nature was done by magic, the fact that she could do it with her magic blocked gave him an answer.

"Do elaborate brother." Elijah asked, curious. Of course, Elijah wanted to know, his witch seemed to have also allied with his brother.

"Well, as you know I love my witches but I've been lacking inspiration the past thousand years..." Kol replied with glee.

"... what I really need is a Nymph."
