Disclaimer: I don't own Star Wars. I own OCs.

Prelude:

It would be helpful to read "Match Maker" first before reading this story. However, this story is not a sequel and can be read as a stand alone. Please note it uses the same OCs/original characters in a slightly different setting. This story centers primarily on an OC. If you don't like OC stories than please turn away now. You have been warned.

If you still wish to read, here is a summary of the plot of "Match Maker." The Jedi encounter a new group of Force-user who specialize in cloning. In order to create an alliance with the new Force-users to fight the Separatists, the Jedi agree to a political marriage of one of their high ranking members. Of course, Obi-Wan Kenobi is chosen and he agrees for the greater good. He is confident he will not form an attachment with a stranger, his new wife. The events of the Clone Wars and the Empire's rise follows as per the movies, but this time Obi-Wan is not alone in his exile. He and his wife join forces and wait until Luke is old enough to join them in their fight against the Empire. While in exile, the couple grow close and have two children of their own, a son and a daughter.

Forces Collide

"I don't understand. What is the point of all this?" asked Obi-Wan.

The young man circled the strange markings on the ground. He and his Master had been invited to witness some sort of experiment by Master Gal-Qin Con. They were in the sub-basement of the Jedi Temple in empty large chamber. It was the middle of the night. Torches lit the circle mark. It was painted in a dark brown ink.

Obi-Wan bent down. He touched the mark with his hand. Some of the mark came off and he rubbed it between his fingers. He frowned and sniffed the residue. He raised his brow and looked up at his mentor.

"Master, this is painted in blood."

Master Qui-Gon was also examining the circle and stopped mid-stride. "Master Gal-Qin Con is not your typical Jedi, Padawan."

Obi-Wan remained squatted on the ground and saw that the circle of ghoulish blood also had demonic writing at its center.

"So it would seem. How do you know Master Con?"

Qui-Gon replied, "We shared a similar interest in expanding our Jedi knowledge. However, its been a long time since we last spoke."

"Yes, its been a very long time, Qui-Gon," said a voice outside of the light.

Obi-Wan rose up. He hadn't sensed anyone approach, but a second later Master Con appeared. He had a dark complexion with bright green eyes. He was clean shaven with short cropped hair. He was dressed in typical Jedi robes but in dark browns. Around his neck he wore a handsome bronze necklace with a red stone.

He looked intimating. Obi-Wan tensed.

Yet, a moment later he smiled. He then greeted Master Qui-Gon with a friendly hug. The two men shared a laugh and braced each other at the arm.

"Its been too long, Gal-Qin. How are you, my friend?"

"Well, well. I have been spending all of my time behind achieves and libraries, but I finally made a break through. Something I think you will appreciate. You've always had an interest in prophecy."

Qui-Gon bashfully turned away and said, "Yes, I've had some dabbling here and there, but what does it have to do with this? Its been so long I thought you've moved onto other research."

"Yes and no. This, my friend, is even better than your prophecy. This is time travel."

Qui-Gon shook his head in disbelief. "Time travel? You must be joking."

Gal-Qin grinned and approached the circle. "No, I'm serious. It took a lot of research, but I believe I have figured out a way to pluck an individual from the future. If this is possible than we can simply ask this person what our future will bring. It will already be the past."

"What you are saying does sound very impossible, Master Con," said Obi-Wan.

The Padawan had been silent since Master Con appeared. He looked at Obi-Wan like he had no idea he was even there. Master Con thinned his lip and crossed his arms over his chest.

"Yes, Padawan, but only to those without an open mind. I specifically invited Master Qui-Gon because I know him to be an open minded man."

Obi-Wan's mentor strode to the rescue and stood between his Padawan and the Jedi Master. He remembered Master Con had a bit of a temper when it can to criticism.

"Gal, let me introduce you to my Padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi. He has a great deal of potential."

Master Con eyed Obi-Wan up and down. Obi-Wan politely bowed and switched to his negotiator mode. It was clearly a time for airs and graces. It was second nature to the Padawan after so many missions with Master Qui-Gon.

"Forgive me for being narrow minded, Master Con. Its just what you are saying so unbelievable. I can't understand how it can be done."

Master Con smiled and said, "Anything is possible with the Force, young man. I've no doubt you are equally as open minded as your master. I won't fault you for being narrow minded. You are still quite young. Now, if I may gentleman, I will begin. Please, step aside."

The two did as Master Con said and stepped away from the circle on the ground. Master Con then lifted his hood on his outer robe and covered his head. He walked to the center of the circle and lit a small fire inside a large black caldron. He then backed away and bowed his head. He softly began to chant under his breathe.

Obi-Wan could not make out his words, but the torches around the circle began to dim. A mysterious wind began to pick up inside the dark chamber. It fanned the flames inside the caldron and the air startled to tingle and buzz. Embers began to fly and light the darkness. They swirled around them and pierced the darkness like stars.

Then, without warning Master Con raised his hands and the blood painted circle burst into flame. When it was all burnt out they were drowned in total darkness. The air was deadly still.

"Master! What's happening" shouted Obi-Wan in fright.

"Be calm, Padawan."

Qui-Gon drew his lightsaber and illuminated the darkness. The blue glow and hum of his lightsaber gave Obi-Wan comfort. He drew his own lightsaber and used it as a torch. He inched closer to the circle to reach Master Con.

"Master Con! Are you alright?"

Obi-Wan saw the back of his robes and saw that he was looking at something towards were the circle had been. He didn't think there was anything there and it was too dark to see . He looked at the circle with his lightsaber and was amazed to see a big hole where it had been.

"Master! I have a bad feeling about this."

"What is it, Obi-Wan?"

Qui-Gon nearly lost his balance as he approached the hole's edge. His foot kicked a pile of sand into the pit and the sound of it falling was long and empty.

Master Qui-Gon turned to Obi-Wan and said, "Quick, re-light the torches!"

"NO!" shouted Master Con. "He's here!"

Master Con quickly removed his robe and jumped down into the pit. There was no telling how deep the pit was. Obi-Wan bent down and trying to see the bottom with the light from his lightsaber. It would take a Force-jump to survive a jump like that. Qui-Gon re-lit a torch and the rim of the pit was in stark contrast compared to the polished surface of the chamber floor. It was a perfect circle; like it was man-made. It cut into the floor perfectly to the outline of the mark.

"HE'S HERE!" shouted Master Con.

Qui-Gon saw in the pit that there was in fact a body beside Master Con. "Who is it?"

Master Con grinned like a mad-man and startled to laugh.

"A man. A man from the future!"
