So thanks to Yugo and next week's (ehm this week's?) preview, this drabble came to life! Enjoy! :)
Unexpected Yet Strangely Welcome
Serena hissed as she hit the hard, cold floor of the hallways, listening to the laughter of the guards as they moved to do it again.
She closed her eyes, wondering why she wasn't fighting back - she was a trained soldier after all. Were there too many of them? Was that her issue? She glared at the floor as she felt their clammy hands on her shoulders...
"Now, now... gentlemen. I believe it would be in your best interest to leave her be."
The bluenette felt her eyes blink as she stared at a pair of boots that suddenly invaded her vision. The Security just kept cackling - they didn't know who he was? - as they focused their attention on the person instead. She dared to glance up from the floor and was shocked to see a face so close to Yuya Sakaki's yet so different at the same time as he smirked at the fools (as she nicknamed the Security in her head).
"And why would we do that?" one of them asked. "Do you want to play, too, little boy?"
"Little boy?" the teen (whose name Serena was trying so hard to remember, for it wasn't Yuya or Yugo or that Yuto she heard about from Kurosaki so wouldn't that leave...?) repeated, his eyes narrowing but his grin only grew colder as he raised his duel disk. "Shall we dance then, fools?"
"Fools!?" they exclaimed, enraged as they readied their duel disks as well.
Something about the situation compelled Serena to look away, which she did. The Moonlight duelist tried to block out the sounds of the Security's screams of pain and suffering as they attempted to take on whom she now knew to be Yuri, Yuya's counterpart from the Fusion Dimension... her home. So why didn't she know him by anything other then his name? Was her upbringing really that shielded? After a while, the horror stopped and she heard the boots walk up to her, which made her shiver again. She couldn't help it, he did just take on like five men on his own without even batting an eyelash.
"Let us go home now, hime." he actually made something resembling a smile as he reached out with his hand for hers.
By the time Reira Akaba came around to help the girl, both of them were gone and all he could find were five indentical cards, the only indication that they were ever there to begin with.
Let's just say that he managed to get Yugo off his trail - not that hard to do, I bet. Thank you for reading this drabble! :)
