Opening 1: Pieces of Hope [English Version]

*Instruments*

Bubbles appears showing the letter "P" in light blue. Buttercup appears showing another "P" in green. Blossom appears showing "G" in pink.

The letters come together to form "PPG".

Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles appear before they glowed into blue, yellow, and red lights. The lights turned into the Speed, Fly and Power Type symbols as they appeared behind "PPG".

The symbols began to spin and the letters "PPG" clashed into them to form the title:

Let me tell you a story, don't you dare laugh when you me tell you

The title zooms into the foreground as the background had the heroes' colors mixed into another as the symbol of what they represent are there as well.

Miyako and Tails are standing next to the Professor. Knuckles and Kaoru appears with the Mayor.

Ken appears in front of the screen doing something before Momoko tackles him, smiling happily.

Everyone watches as Ken was glaring at Momoko shaking his arm up and down, while said girl looks up, sticking her tongue out playfully while Sonic chuckles.

It is a beautiful story about the world we live in

Momoko is by herself looking down. The girls show up by her sides and the boys showed up as well, all smiling or smirking at her. They gasped when they saw The Rowdyruff Boys appear. They looked around to see the rest of the villains appear, causing them to have comical blank expression.

A flash is seen showing that a picture was taken.

Princess appears and looks at the picture before noticing she wasn't in it. She points the picture at Mojo, with a small vein on her head, which made the monkey have a tired expression on his face.

Mojo starts to work on his Robo Jojo, with Fuzzy and Big Billy cheering for him, and Princess to turn to the viewers, with a smirk on her face.

Everyday I wonder why is the sky blue and why are the trees green?

Sonic is lying on a tree branch looking at the sky, with a half lidded relaxed expression. He looks down to see his friends lying on the grass, obviously enjoying the sun.

Another question is: Why does the sun seem so bright when it shines?

Sonic grins and decided to join his friends as he laid down on the grass, looking at the sun.

The scene changes to show the heroes raising their hands in the air, rings appearing on the girls fingers while watches appeared on the boys.

I'm sure that the answer is because of something I would not understand.

The Powerpuffs swiped their rings across their Compacts while the watches made dense lights appear in Team Heroes hands. The girls slammed their Compacts in their belts as colored lights came out while the boys slammed the dense lights into the center of their belts as they glowed.

Sonic starts to do multiple poses before it switched to Momoko doing her own, followed by Tails and Miyako.

It is not essential to know all of these answers

Because it is not like you can reach for them.

Knuckles is doing his poses next with Kaoru following afterwards. The camera flashes to the heroes, continuing with their transformation on unique transformation.

Sonic slowly turns around to the readers, with his friends appearing beside him, and they do one final pose in their transformation outfits. Mojo Jojo appears in front of the viewers before he got pushed out of the way by Dr. Eggman, Orbot and Cubot.

A red alarm flashes inside the Lab. Ken, Mayor, Poochi, and Ms. Bellum are staring at the computer screen.

Right now!

There is no wish refusing to come true

If you can keep on focusing your dream ahead

Professor slams his hand on his desk and points to the exit. Team Heroes and the Powerpuffs are running out of the Lab, getting ready to head out to the city.

Both Teams are soaring across the sky in colored lights before they arrived in the sky.

Mojo Jojo, in his Robo Jojo, is causing mayhem in the city as he grins evilly at the heroes arriving on the scene, along with one of Eggman's giant Badniks.

There is something I really want

Right now that is not ideal for the situation that we're in today

Mojo and the Badnik went to attack the heroes but they moved out of the way.

Bubbles, Buttercup and Blossom attacked Mojo using their weapons, while Knuckles, Tails and Sonic charges at the Badnik, using their Triple Spin Dash Attack.

The attacks clashed into Mojo Jojo and the Badnik as an explosion is shown. Mojo is covered in dirt as he flies off into the sky with the Heroes watching him, while the little Animals that were in the Badnik all cheered happily.

I just want to cry, but I cannot cry

Because if I cry that'll just bring more tears

Later on, the sun has set.

Momoko is looking down at the ground with tears welling in her eyes leaning on tree. She gasped when Sonic appeared in front of her, with Tails and Knuckles behind him. Miyako appears along with Kaoru but when she and Momoko saw each other they turned away causing the others to have deadpanned expressions.

The two then got into a heated argument, with Tails trying to separate them. Sonic and Knuckles looked on with sweat drops while Miyako hung her head down. She then shouts at them causing everyone to jump.

Aren't smiles cuter than all of the faces that everybody makes?

Momoko walks away from everyone, her bangs covering her eyes. She wipes the tears away and the camera zooms in on her face. She looks up with a bright smile on her face and hearts appearing.

Sonic comes in and wrapped his arm around her neck, bringing a happy blush on her face as they smiled at each other.

Although that's what I have been told lately!

They jump back, in their transformation outfits, and spread their arms out causing green, light blue, yellow, and red lights to come out.

The lights disappeared and formed into Knuckles, Buttercup, Tails, and Bubbles in their final pose to the viewers.

Episode 7: Let's Climb the Tower!

Chapter Cover: Team Heroes and the Powerpuffs are on top of a tower, checking out the view of the city below them. The Egg Hawk was flying overhead.

Another typical boring day at Jr. High School. Sonic was nodding off as usual, just waiting for class to be over and done with.

"I. Cannot. Take this." Sonic thought to himself in annoyance. He looks around to see what everyone was doing. Knuckles was looking out the window, looking ready to nod off as well. Tails and the girls were paying attention.

But things have been pretty quiet lately. No Eggman, no nothing...if you don't count Mojo Jojo still being free and his last scheme with trying to build a human zoo because he found a guy who taunted him with food while he was a normal monkey.

Now that one was strange.

Or it was strange to hear about it because the girls took care of it while they was stuck at school, which honestly suck because he missed his chance to escape...I mean help the girls in dealing with Mojo, no matter how dumb or weird it was.

But it did explain why Mojo Jojo hates humans, at least.

Shaking his head at the goofy reason, Sonic smiled as the bell rang and the teacher looked up. "Now remember that last week's homework is due tomorrow-."

"Huh?" Momoko interrupted in shock. "Did you just say 'homework'?"

"Uh sir?" Miyako looked nervous. "Can you tell us again what homework you're talking about?"

"It's all in your textbook Miyako." The teacher remarked with a chuckle, thinking that they were kidding. "Section's 1-10, I assigned it in last week's class."

"Last week's class?" Miyako asked before Momoko gasped.

"Oh no." Momoko looked at Karou, Miyako and the boys. "We weren't here, we were out fighting Mojo."

"We missed the assignment." The girls cried out as everyone else left.

Later

While walking to their home away home, Sonic couldn't help but shake his head at how the girls were moping. Knuckles didn't care either way while Tails felt sorry for them.

"Aw man, we're in big trouble." Karou said with her hands on her head. "There's no way we can get that much homework done by tomorrow."

"If only there was a way to use our superpowers to do homework." Miyako muttered.

That was when Momoko noticed that the boys wasn't panicking at all. "Aren't you worried guys?!" She asked in a panic. "This is really bad!"

"What do you mean? We already finished ours." Tails said without thinking, which made Sonic and Knuckles to stop and stare at Tails with wide eyes.

"Dude/Tails!" They both whispered causing him to turn and look at them.

"Wha-?" Tails suddenly gasp as he realized what he said. He and the guys turned to the girls and step back. They had dark auras surrounding them and murderous looks on their faces.

"Uh...oh…" Sonic said.

"You knew about the homework and you didn't tell us?!" Kaoru shouted in anger as her head swelled to a huge size, scaring them slightly.

Sonic and Knuckles looked at each other before pointing their fingers at Tails. "Tails reminded us about it!"

Tails' sudden jaw dropped in comical disbelief at his friends snitching on him like that. He sweats fearfully as the girls turnt their murderous looks on him.

"Tails…" Miyako said in a warning tone, waiting for him to explain.

"I-I-I thought you knew." Tails rapidly backed up sweating a bit. "I talked to the teach and he told me the assignment...after that I told Sonic and Knuckles, since they tend to forget stuff like this." He chuckled nervously.

"Dude really?" Sonic deadpan.

"Us being in this school is only temporary." Knuckles said.

"It would've been nice if you told us." Miyako told Tails with her arms crossed.

Then Momoko smiled widely as an idea struck her. "Oh Sonic~" She began in a sing-song voice.

"Not happening." Sonic said knowing what was coming.

Momoko gaped at him. "You didn't let me finish!" She protested.

"You three aren't copying my homework." Sonic said flatly, causing the girls faces to fall. "Mainly because I went through the questions and answered them as best as I could."

"Come on, only for this once?" Miyako pleaded to Tails with her hands clasped. "We can't turn in nothing tomorrow Tails."

"I'm sorry Miyako, you can't." Tails apologized. "Even if you copied my homework, the teacher will be suspicious."

Kaoru glared in anger at Tails, who quickly backed away and hid behind Sonic, before turning her attention to a blank face Knuckles. His eyes glanced to her.

"Don't even think about it Butterfinger." Knuckles told her, making her fall back comically before grabbing his shirt.

"What did you say!?" Kaoru asked before the two glared at each other as sparks clashed between them.

"Great, how are we going to get it done by tomorrow?!" Momoko asked in panic.

Sighing, Knuckles looked at them. "It's not that hard, it'll just take two hours of doing it."

"Yeah, for a straight-A student." Kaoru said with her arms crossed.

"It took me a couple of seconds to finish." Sonic said raising his hand, causing Kaoru to roll her eyes at him.

"You are such a show off." The Speed Demon just shrugs in response, a cocky look on his face.

"Well, anyway..." Sonic said before a massive headache assaulted him went and he stumbled, clutching his head. "Gah!" He cried out before falling to the ground.

"Sonic!" Everyone quickly ran up to their friend and surrounded him.

"Sonic! What's wrong?" Tails asked in concern.

"My...my head!" Sonic yells before he let out a scream before he fell unconscious.

"Sonic!" Knuckles called out.

"What's happening?" Miyako asked as she shook his shoulder.

"I don't know!" Momoko answered trying to see if her crush was okay. "Sonic! Wake up!"

"Come on, we need to get him to the Professor!" Kaoru stated as they helped Sonic up.

Sonic's Dream

"Huh? Where am I?" Sonic asked looking around through the darkness before he turns around to see a hallway full of mirrors. Each of those mirrors showed an image and what was on it shocked Sonic to the core.

"Are...are those blue hedgehogs? And are they suppose to be me?!" He asked in surprise. He walks down the hall of mirrors, looking at the mirrors.

Yes indeed. The mirrors had many images of a blue hedgehog, each one having the power to run at supersonic speed. There was one image of a cartoonish looking version of the blue hedgehog with a fox cub with two tails and they were fighting funny looking Dr. Eggman along with three Badniks.

"What the? Tails and Eggman?" He asked staring at the image before he laughed when the blue hedgehog ripped Eggman's moustache off. "That was beautiful!" He turns to another mirror and saw another version of the blue hedgehog and the fox Tails, only they were with a group of anthro animals and they were fighting against a new type of robots.

Sonic heard the sound of music playing in one of the mirrors, making him turn around to see the blue hedgehog again, only this time he's with two other hedgehogs, a male green one and a pink female one.

"Huh. Looks like this one is in a rock band." Sonic said before walking off, looking at a mirror that showed another blue hedgehog version of him, only this one had blue fur on his arms, a brown scarf and sports tape. "Huh. Kinda cool in a funny way."

Sonic then stops as he saw something that made him raise a brow. "A Lego version of the blue hedgehog? That's...kinda odd honestly." He then noticed the mirrors began to shift and change. His eyes widened as he saw human versions of him. "Whoa!"

He looks at the human versions of himself in slight awe. There were so many different versions of him being older or younger. His eyes widen as he quickly ran to mirror and stare at it.

"Is that me and Momoko?"

Yes, the mirror showed an image of him and Momoko sitting by a tree next to a school. They also looked younger than them, about the same age, but there's a big difference between this Momoko and the one he knows.

This Momoko was reading a book. Like an actual book. He could see the comic books there but from the looks of it, they were having a study session. He flinched when that Momoko bonked the other him with the book she was reading and told him to focus.

"Ow. I felt that." Sonic said, rubbing his head. He walks ahead and saw another version of him and Momoko, only they were older and were leading a bunch of kids and teens their age against a slimy gooey green monster.

He walks forward to see more versions of him. He saw a blue hair, blue eyed shirtless teen version of him fighting an army of men in red and giving out a battle cry as he dashes through them in a burst of speed. He saw another him with a group of girls, which made him blush as he saw they weren't wearing any pants, with animal like features, and wielding some big guns.

But then he saw something that made him blink in confusion. Inside that mirror was a boy with his hairstyle, but it was a sun-kiss blond and had red stripes in the quills. He also had blue eyes and bizarre whisker marks on his cheeks. He also wore a headband which had a metal plate and a leaf symbol on it. The boy seems to be fighting Dr. Eggman, but he looked older and wore black and yellow instead of red and black.

"Huh? Who is that kid?" Sonic asked raising a brow at the kid, wondering who he is. Is he supposed to be another version of him? Well he does have his hairstyle and he's fighting a Dr. Eggman so he's gotta be him. "I don't know why...but I feel like I know him."

A giant glow caught his attention, making him look forward and what he saw made his jaw drop. There stood a very large mirror and that mirror showed a scene of a city being destroyed by giant Death Egg Robots.

In the distance was a blue hedgehog watching the destruction in anger as he charged forward, dodging any debris that were coming his way. He saw a large debris heading at him but then got destroyed by a blue blur. The blur revealed itself to be a younger chubbier version of the blue hedgehog.

Sonic continued to watch the scene in awe. Aside from the mirror being larger than the others, the image that was playing on it was more unique. By that he meant that this blue hedgehog version looked like something out of a video game.

Not only that but the scene it was playing…

"The War To Take Back the Planet." Sonic said, staring wide eyed at the mirror. That event happened to him a long time ago when he was younger. It happened there too?

"Beware…" A feminine voice spoke up.

Sonic spun around to see a glowing yellow orb floating in front of him. "Huh? Who are you? And where am I?

"Please listen, for I don't have much time." The orb said, her voice sounding strained. "I am using too much energy reaching you in this dimension and something is forcing me to leave."

"What?" Sonic asked as he heard a dark laugh around him, making him tense as he took a fighting stance, looking around.

The mirrors suddenly shattered, making Sonic cover his eyes, thinking the glass was going to hit him but it didn't.

"There is a great evil in the world you're in." The orb said her voice getting fainter. "One that will push everyone to their limits, one of many that threatens every universe out there and you must be ready."

The dark laughter returned again only it started to get more demonic and sinister. A wall of fire suddenly erupted in front of Sonic and the orb, making him cover his face with his arm.

"Kch!" Sonic put his arm down to see the wall of fire only for his eyes to widen. He saw a shadow appear and took form of a jester, with crab-like hands.

"You and your friends must defeat this great evil before it's too late! Otherwise, he will discover it and try to recruit it! Please! Defeat H-!"

A demonic expression appeared on the shadow jester as it suddenly laughed again. It turns to Sonic and the orb before it screeched at them and blew them away.

"WHOA!" Sonic shouted his eyes snapping open as he found himself in the lab with Tails, Ken and Poochi scanning him and the girls trying to help, while Knuckles was near him.

Everyone jumped at his shout before they saw him looking around rapidly as he took a fighting stance.

"Sonic, are you alright?" Tails asked in concern as his older brother figure took a few deep breaths.

"Yeah. I'm cool." Sonic said as he released a sigh of relief

"What happened?" Kaoru asked in confusion.

Miyako nodded. "Yeah, you were screaming in pain before you blacked out."

"And why did you just scream?" Momoko was puzzled by that one.

"Ah." Sonic stopped as he tried to find a way to explain. He certainly didn't want his friends to know about what he saw and what happened. "Um, don't worry. Just had a crazy dream."

"A dream?" Knuckles asked, raising a brow.

"What was it about?" Poochi asked curiously.

"Like I said, something crazy, so don't worry about it." Sonic said, waving his hand up and down.

"You sure you're alright?" Momoko asked as she ran up to him and placed a hand on his forehead before placing her own hand on hers. "You looked like you were in pain."

"Chill Momo." Sonic said with a half lidded deadpan expression as he removed her hand from his head. "It was just a headache. We get those all the time." He turns to Ken, wanting to change the subject. "Say Ken, you ever found what was up with my belt?"

"Your belt?" Ken had a confused before he remembered what happened the other day. "Oh yeah! Well, when me and the Professor were studying your belt, we learned something amazing! Apparently that blue core more than just upgraded your belt, it also increased your power!"

"Increased my power?" Sonic repeated curiously, staring at his belt which sat on the table. "What does that mean?"

"It means that the core, or Power Core as Professor called them, are part of unique function for your belt that allows you to increase your powers, further showing that you and your friends are much different compared to the girls despite the similarities." Ken explained.

"Okay, so then where did they come from?" Momoko asked curiously.

"That's the thing. We don't know where they came from. It's like they...appeared after you guys took down that Badnik." Ken replied. "The Professor theorized that there are three types of Power Cores and each one corresponds to a different skill type." He looks to Team Heroes. "Meaning your skill types; Blue for speed, red for power and yellow for fly. Which also means the Power Cores are for you three only."

"Really?" Sonic asked, looking at the blue dot that was on his upgraded belt. "Hehe! How cool is that? So what? All we gotta do is just keep on beating Badniks?"

Ken shook his head. "Not really. It has to be something like the Egg Hammer. A Super Badnik I guess."

"Or in other words, a Boss!" Tails said happily.

"Cool!" Sonic grins.

"Not cool!" Momoko pouted. "How come you guys get to have the cool power ups and we don't?!"

"Yeah! That's not right!" Kaoru frowned with Miyako nodding in agreement a pout present on her face.

"It's not fair!"

"If I were you three, I'd be more worry about the homework than instead of our powers." Knuckles deadpans at them.

That caused the girls eyes to widen as they forgotten all about it with what happened.

"Oh man, we're wasting time!" Kaoru ran to the table and yanked her notebook out before pencils spilled out. "Damn it!" She cursed as she reached down to pick them up.

"Slow down, Kaoru." Momoko told her as she was going just as quickly to get hers out. "We need to work together."

"Which problem do we do first?" Miyako asked in a panic before Ken coughed.

"Um... I suppose it's a bad idea to ask for a delivery run?" Ken asked causing the girls to glare at him. "I need to take something to Dad, but Poochie and I are busy with something important-"

"No problem!" Sonic said as he picked up the suitcase Ken pointed at. "I'll handle it."

"But we want to go and see the tower they're working on!" Momoko protested in panic. "And besides what if you collapse again? Who's gonna bring you back?"

"Relax, I'll be back in a flash." Sonic was about to run off but much to his confusion he wasn't leaving the also noticed someone got a strong grip on his arm. He looks back and saw Momoko holding him, her eyes watering in worry as she looked at him with a pleading look.

A deadpan expression appeared on the Blue Blur's face as he turns to Tails. "Please do something to help them."

Tails blinks at that before he turned to Kaoru and Miyako as they looked at their homework with a sad look on their faces, leaving him feel guilty since it was his fault he didn't tell them.

"Well, we can't let you copy our homework. But I guess I can help you with-" Tails tried to finish before he was nearly crushed by hugs from Momoko and Miyako while Kaoru smiled widely.

"Thanks Tails!" Momoko said to him.

"You rock!" Kaoru gave a thumbs up since she wasn't into hugs.

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" Miyako kept repeating herself.

Tails was blushing up a storm as he was being hugged by two girls. Since he was slightly shorter than them, he could feel their growing developing...chests on his shoulders.

All three girls took off with the suitcase, along with Sonic, as they left the lab.

Knuckles meanwhile was gaping at the scene that just happened. He turns to the swirly eyed blushing Tails and the door before turning to Ken and Poochi.

"Did they just manipulate Tails into helping with their homework?" Knuckles asked the young genius who turned back to his computer.

"It seems so." Ken answered without any hesitation.

"Even I saw that coming." Poochi remarked causing Knuckles to shake his head before he walks to the couch, sitting down as he picks up the remote.

"I wonder what's on TV."

With Sonic & Friends

"Oh what a sight, I'm so proud!"

Sonic heard the Mayor say as he and the girls entered the construction sight of what had to be the largest tower in all of New Townsville.

"New Townsville Tower will be the tallest tower in the city." The Mayor said happily.

"Professor!" Momoko called out causing Professor, Ms. Bellum and the Mayor to look towards them.

"Hi, where's Ken?" Professor asked with a smile.

"He and Poochi are working on something so he asked for us to deliver this." Sonic said, smirking slightly as he handed him the suitcase.

"Thanks." Professor opened the suitcase to show quite a few pairs of shoes.

"Huh?" Momoko asked in confusion.

"What are these for?" Kaoru asked with the same look.

Miyako shrugged. "They don't seem very fashionable."

Professor chuckled at their comments. "They're Gravity Shoes, my latest invention."

"Gravity Shoes?" Sonic asked curiously.

Professor nodded with a smile before looking at Peter. "I got designed these for construction workers so they can stay on hard to work areas, considering we had quite a few close calls with the wind from being so high up."

The girls looks awestruck at the new tech while Sonic whistled in amusement.

"Wow! With those, you can complete the tower ahead of schedule." Momoko said

The Mayor nodded happily. "That's right!"

"All thanks to the Professor!" Ms. Bellum praised, causing the scientists to blush and scratch his cheek .

"Ah, it's nothing."

Kaoru smirked and fist pumped. "What are you waiting for? Let's see what these bad boys can do!"

So Professor, Mayor, and Ms. Bellum put the shoes on and started to walk the tower, leaving our heroes impressed by this new invention. However, just when the three was halfway to the top, the Professor and Mayor started to get real nervous at how high they were.

"Professor. No insult to your newly developed invention, but can we take the elevator?" The Mayor asked him nervously.

"I agree!" Professor answered real quick.

"Pathetic." Ms. Bellum said, causing the two men to sulk.

They suddenly gave a shout of surprise as a blue blur ran past them. They looked up and saw Sonic waving down at them.

"Come on! You don't want to miss the view do ya?" The Blue Blur asked as he continued running up the tower.

Down below, the girls watched as the grown ups came back before looking back up at the tower.

"Man, that guy is such a show off." Kaoru said as she crossed her arms. Hearing a lovestruck sigh made her and Miyako turn and saw Momoko staring at Sonic with a dreamy look on her face and hearts popping out of her head.

"I know. That's what makes him so dreamy~." Momoko said with a blush present on her face.

Miyako laughed sheepishly while Kaoru face-palms in annoyance.

Next door to the tower inside of a broken down house, Mojo Jojo was looking at the Tower. "I remember when I used to have a nice view of the ocean." He said lost in memories. "Maybe if I want to take over the world, this is not the best headquarters."

He looked at the floor to see a bunch of decrepit items and holes in the floor.

Then Mojo smirked as he looked back at the tower. "This tower is a more suitable place for my new headquarters."

Meanwhile

Dr. Eggman's Base

"How? Did those brats manage to obtain such power?" Dr. Eggman muttered to himself. He was sitting in front of a large screen trying to find footage of anything bizarre happening within the city.

Nearby, Orbot and Cubot were cleaning the room. Orbot was sweeping and Cubot was wiping the glass tubes, while whistling a happy tone.

"Aha!" The robots flinched as they turned to their creator. "I've found it!"

"Found what Boss?" Orbot asked curiously as he and Cubot stopped what they were doing and went towards him.

"Look."

Dr. Eggman was watching a video of a large glacier suddenly appearing in the city which caused it to snow suddenly. But then a bright golden white laser beam was fired at the glacier, destroying it and causing several black lights and three white lights to shoot out. But then a golden light shot out from the glacier and was split into three, going to the same direction as the white lights.

"Whoa! Talk about a light show!" Cubot exclaimed. "And it's not even the Fourth of July."

"There! That's how they did it!" Dr. Eggman exclaimed, ignoring Cubot. "That's how Sonic and his friends obtained those new powers. But that laser..." He replayed the video again just to the point where the laser beam fired. He narrowed his eyes and saw the laser came from a big building. "It would seem that whoever fired it knew something unique about that ice berg. If I'm going to learn more about those lights and harness their power for my own, I would need to infiltrate that building."

The alarm suddenly sounded off.

"Oh! It would seem a Chaos Emerald has been found!" Orbot said happily.

Dr. Eggman grins deviously. "Perfect timing! Orbot! Cubot! Send out Egg Hawk! After that, I have a important job for you two."

"A job?" The two robots asked.

"Oh yes." Dr. Eggman said, grinning at the yellow building.

Utonium's Residence

"Chaos Emerald nearby! Chaos Emerald nearby!" Poochi said, running around as his eyes were glowing, gathering everyone's attention.

"A Chaos Emerald?" The occupants asked in surprise, making Knuckles stand up from the couch.

"Where is it Poochi?" Ken asked.

"At the park!" Poochi said happily.

"Great. Let's-" Knuckles was interrupted by the sound of the alarms blaring. He groans in annoyance. "Oh now what? Is it Mojo again?"

"No…" Tails was already at the computer and pulled up a screen, which showed a big red robotic hawk heading towards the city. "It's Eggman!"

"Of course it is." Knuckles growled.

"Me and Poochi will go and get the emerald!" Ken told them as he and Poochi were already heading towards the door. "You guys go and stop Dr. Eggman!"

"Should we contact the others?" Tails asked Knuckles.

"This is Eggman Tails. We can deal with him ourselves." Knuckles said, bumping his fists together. "Now let's go! Henshin!"

"Right! Henshin!"

Energy gathered around them and the two were in their outfits. They quickly flew out the lab, leaving it empty. However, Orbot appeared looking in through the open window, looking around.

"It looks like the coast is clear." Orbot said as he jumped in. "Come on Cubot. Let's hurry before somebody comes back."

"On it buddy!" Cubot said as he enters the window as well.

"You remember the plan?" Orbot asked.

"Plan? Of course I remember!" Cubot said proudly before he scratched his head. "Refresh my memory, what was I supposed to do again?"

Orbot face palmed and shook his head. "You go to the library and pick out a few books that seems interesting while I download and copy the files from the computer and put them in this hard drive." He took said hard drive and turns around to the computer and rolls to it. "Now let's go!"

"On it!" Cubot was about to follow but them remembered his job as he left the room to find the library. "Um...where is the library in this place?"

New Townsville Tower

"Whoa." Sonic got wide-eyed at the view from the top of the tower. He gives out a loud whistle which seems to echo in the distance. "This is an amazing view."

"I think I can see the lab from here." Miyako stated causing nearly everyone to fall over.

"The lab's on a hill, of course you can see it." Kaoru deadpanned before looking back over the city. "But I can see my apartment from here and-...are my brothers playing Basketball?"

"Look, there's my house!" Momoko pointed to the left. "It's so tiny."

"Yes, you can see the whole city from up here." The Mayor said with a small, proud smile. "Just think all those people living in the city of New Townsville. Sometimes I get choked up just thinking about it and that is why taking care of New Townsville is so important and they all rely on you six to protect them."

"Comes with being a hero." Sonic said with a shrug. He then felt someone bump into his side and immediately knew who it was.

"You know Sonic. This tower would make a perfect place for a date. Don't you think?" Momoko asker with hearts coming out of her head as she stared at her crush with a half-lidded gaze.

"Yup." Sonic replied as he took a step away from her, which thankfully she didn't notice. "It sure does." He looks out to the lab before he blinks as he saw red and yellow streaks fly out. He raised a curious brow. "Now where are they going?"

Suddenly Momoko gasped. "Hey! It's Mojo!"

Snapping his head around, Sonic was surprised to see Mojo Jojo climbing up the tower with some Gravity Shoes. "Wow. Should've known he was going to pop out sooner or later." He glances to the Professor. "I just didn't expect you to leave a pair of those shoes behind." He deadpanned causing the Professor to smile a bit sheepishly.

"It's not like I saw this happening."

"What are you smelly humans doing in Mojo's headquarters?!" Mojo snarled as he recognized the girls and Sonic. "I claim this as Mojo Tower!"

Sonic snorts. "Seriously? Mojo Tower? Oh man, you must be Eggman's lost assistant." He turns to the others. "Y'all ready?" They nod in response.

"Yeah! Let's kick his hairy butt." Kaoru said.

"Right! Henshin!" Sonic smirks as energy surrounded his being and he was in his costume while the girls pressed their belt as energy surrounded them a

"Hyper Blossom!"

"Rolling Bubbles!"

"Powered Buttercup!"

"Professor, you and the others get outta here. We got this." Sonic told the grown ups as they nodded and rushed to the elevator.

Mojo wasn't intimidated however as he was interested in their belts. "So they need their belts to have powers? If Mojo takes the smelly humans belts then Mojo can win."

"Alright Mojo, let's dance!" Sonic said turning into a spin ball before charging at him, only for the evil monkey to jump out of the way.

"Just try it you smell humans!" Mojo shouted as he lifted a metal bar up and threw it as Bubbles caught them. "Mojo is getting smarter everyday!"

"You're a bad monkey!" Bubbles commented as she dropped the bar before flying at him, but Mojo moved to the side and grabbed her belt, pulling it off easily. "Wha?" She asked in confusion as in a bright light, she turned back to normal before she began to fall off the tower.

"BUBBLES!" Blossom flew after her quickly.

"I knew it!" Mojo remarked proudly. "You smelly humans can't beat Mojo now that he knows your weakness!"

Buttercup kept her distance knowing that if Mojo get's her belt, then she would be out of the fight. She glares at the laughing Mojo but then grins as a blue scarf wrapped itself around Mojo's face, blinding him.

"My eyes!" Mojo cried out as he tried to get the scarf off him.

"Aw, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to blind you." Sonic said in mock sympathy. "And FYI, I can still take you down without this belt." He does a spin charge, bringing Mojo towards him. Once Mojo got close enough, Sonic releases his hold on him and dashed to the back of Mojo's head.

"OWIE!"

Sonic landed on his feet and was going to charge at Mojo before he noticed something on the platform they were on. He picks it and saw it was Mojo's cloak. "What the…?" He turns to Mojo and a dumbfounded expression appeared on his face for a moment. He then broke down laughing hysterically.

The reason? Mojo was only two feet tall.

"Seriously?" Buttercup asked in pure disbelief as Blossom flew back up with Miyako to see Mojo.

"What happened?" The de-facto leader asked incredulously as Miyako held her stomach, feeling sick.

"Mojo is tiny!" Sonic laughed pointing at Mojo, who had an embarrassed blush. "I can't believe I actually thought he was tall!"

"Grr, you smelly humans are making Mojo very angry!" Mojo ranted comically before Sonic picked him up by his neck and pulled his cheeks, making him cry out.

"Wow, I can't believe someone as small as you been building such scary weapons." Sonic said. He picks up the cloak and in a blur wraps it around him, only covering his head, making him look like s big ball. He drops him and then picks up Miyako's belt, tossing it to her.

"Thanks." Miyako said gratefully as she put it back on and turned back into Bubbles.

"Grr. LEAVE MOJO ALONE!" Mojo Jojo shouted as he struggled to get out of his own cloak but couldn't as Sonic was using him as a soccer ball.

"Stop being evil and we will." Blossom deadpanned as she and the other girls flew down and circled around the evil small monkey.

"Maybe if we give him a banana he'll be good." Sonic said happily as he rocked Mojo back and forth with his foot. An idea came to his head as he grins at Mojo. "Say Buttercup, you up for a game of football?"

The girls looked confused while Buttercup raised a brow.

"Football?" She asked before Sonic pointed at the trap Mojo, who was looking at them in confusion. She got the idea as she grins evilly at Mojo.

"Wh...Why are you looking at Mojo like that?" Mojo asked nervously. He got his answer when Sonic held him still and Buttercup backed away, a concentrated look on her face.

"Ready?" Blossom asked with her hand raised happily.

"Set!'' Bubbles continued, doing the same.

"GO!" Sonic shouts as Buttercup dashed.

"Waaaaahhh!" Mojo cried as he saw the scary look on Buttercup's face as she charged at him with a feral grin on her face. He continues to struggle to get out of his cloak. "MOJO JOJO IS NOT…!"

Bonk!

"A FOOTBALLLLL!" Mojo cries out in comical pain as he got sent flying away, a red foot imprint planted on his face.

"That's a goal!" Buttercup cheered happily. "That fight was shorter than I thought. Glad we took care of it without help from the other two."

"Speaking of…" Blossom turns to Sonic curiously. "Where are Tails and Knuckles?"

"I saw them fly off somewhere earlier before Mojo showed up." Sonic replied, getting surprised looks from the girls faces. "I'm sure they'll be fine." He blinks and then realized something. "Say aren't you three suppose to be doing something right now?"

"Huh?" Bubbles asked in confusion before Buttercup's eyes widened.

"THE HOMEWORK!"

"Oh no! We gotta hurry!" Blossom panicked as she took off with Buttercup and Bubbles following behind her.

The grown-ups watched the girls before turning to Sonic, who looked amused by them.

"Homework?" Professor asked in confusion.

"Long story." Sonic shrugs. He blinks as Blossom came back and grabbed him. "Hey!"

With Tails and Knuckles

Battle Music: BOSS: EGG HAWK [Sonic Heroes]

The transformed heroes were currently chasing the Egg Hawk as it kept flying backwards. The Super Badnik suddenly fired its machine guns at them, making them dodge out of the way.

They've been fighting the red hawk themed Badnik for a couple of minutes now and it looks like they were getting close to beating it. When they got into range they would attack it using a Homing Attack or using whatever powers they're belt gave them.

The Egg Hawk would also stop flying for a moment before charging at them, with the intent of sending them flying away. The Egg Hawk would even just stop flying and just fire it's machine guns at them or send out Egg Pawns to do its dirty work.

Thankfully, they managed to take out the wings and the Egg Hawk was flying slower than usual, mainly thanks to Tails throwing his bombs at the fans that powered them.

"Okay! Now's our chance to finish it!" Tails told Knuckles, placing a hand on the core of his belt.

The core glowed before a light shot into Tails' hand, materializing into a large wrench. The wrench looked futuristic as it has a guarded handle and with the wrench large enough to pick up stuff.

"Right!" Knuckles did the same thing with his core as it starts to glow bright.

Lights shot out of the core and into Knuckles' fists as they materialized into a pair of metal claws with flame like paint on them.

"Sweet!" Knuckles said in excitement, staring at the claws with awe. He turns to Tails. "You ready?"

Tails grins as he got his wrench ready. "Yeah! Let's finish this!" He jumps and spun the wrench in his hands as electricity began to gather around it before it was completely covered. "Electro Throw!"

Tails threw the wrench at the Egg Hawk, landing a direct hit on the head as it struck there. Electricity soon danced around the Egg Hawk's whole body, making it stop as it's eyes were spinning around comically. Tails smirks as he stares at his handy work before looking at the charging Knuckles.

"Now Knuckles!"

Knuckles grins as he ran faster. He clicked his metal claws together, making sparks of fire erupt from them before they covered his fists. He glides in the air before he spun around in place.

"Fire Drill!" His whole being erupted into a spinning drill-like fire. He charged at the Egg Hawk and went straight threw the beak and out of the Boss Bot, stopping the attack.

Music End

Once he made it out, the Egg Hawk erupted into a large explosion. Once the explosion died down, Tails flew down next to Knuckles and both gave each other high fives.

"We did it!" They did a pose together as their weapons vanished. They quickly ran to the destroyed Egg Hawk to find Eggman...only to see a destroyed Egg Robo instead.

"What the? So it wasn't Eggman controlling it?" Tails asked.

Knuckles narrowed his eyes before a red light caught his and Tails' attention. They looked back and saw a red Power Core. The Guardian of the Master Emerald walks to it. The Power Core entered the belt the moment Knuckles got close enough to it.

Just like before with Sonic, Knuckles' belt glowed, only this one was red. The glowed died down and small fire patterns are seen on the belt along with three blank dots.

"Power Core, received." Knuckles' belt said as one of the dots turned red. "Level up!"

Knuckles looked at the belt for a moment before turning back to the Egg Robo. "If that thing was piloting the Boss, then where the hell is Eggman at now?"

Tails placed a hand on his chin, looking down in thought. But then his eyes widened. "Knuckles?" He got the older teen's attention. "If Poochi was able to detect the Chaos Emerald, doesn't that mean Dr. Eggman might've also detected it as well?"

Knuckles' eyes widened before they were narrowed as he turns to the destroyed Egg Hawk. If what Tails said is true then all this was just big distraction, to keep them away from the emerald. And that means…

"KEN!"

Meanwhile

New Townsville: Playground

Ken and Poochi were in the playground, searching for the Chaos Emerald with Poochi taking the lead. The robot dog suddenly stopped and began to bark loudly. He suddenly ran to the sandbox and starts digging through it.

Ken actually had to move out of the way and cover his face to avoid the sand hitting him. The flying sand soon stopped which made Ken remove his arm and look on curiously as Poochi's tail wags back and forth happily.

"I FOUND IT!" The robot dog shouted happily. He turns to Ken, showing him the beautiful blue Chaos Emerald in his mouth.

"Alright Poochi! Good dog!" Ken praised his companion happily as he rubbed his head. He took the Chaos Emerald out of his mouth and looks at, his eyes shining like stars.

"Quite a beautiful little emerald isn't it?"

"It sure is." Ken replied. He and Poochi blinks before they turned around to find the owner of the voice.

Suddenly, a mechanical hook came from the sky and snatched the Chaos Emerald out of Ken's hand. The young scientist and robot dog looked back and screamed when they saw the emerald was gone.

"What?! Where did-!?"

"Bark! Bark! Up there! Bark!" Poochi growled, looking up.

Ken instantly looked up and his eyes widened in alarm. "Dr. Eggman!"

Dr. Eggman, sitting comfortably inside his Egg Mobile, laughed happily as he tossed the emerald in the air, catching it in his open palm.

"Thank you for finding this precious emerald for me my little friend." Dr. Eggman thanked Ken. He turns around and begins to fly away. "Now go home and play with your toys little boy. I'm going to celebrate my victory!"

"Oh no you don't! Get him Poochi!" Ken ordered.

Poochi barks and then jumps on the Egg Mobile. He lands for a moment, getting Eggman's attention before jumping on his face.

"WAAAAAHHH!" The mad scientist screams comically as he wildly moved his arms up and down. He felt a massive pain on his nose, already knowing the robot mutt was biting his nose. "YEOUCH!"

Ken watched on as the Egg Mobile was moving wildly while Dr. Eggman was still screaming. Once the Egg Mobile got lower, Ken took the chance and jumped on it, taking the Chaos Emerald out of Eggman's hands, before jumping off of it. He reached into his pocket and placed a device on the bottom of the hovercraft.

He whistled for Poochi to come to him, earning a bark from him before he hopped off of Eggman's face and landed next to Ken, both of them glaring at the evil scientist, with bite marks all over his face.

"You brat! You and your dog are gonna pay for that!" Dr. Eggman yelled comically. He then noticed the Chaos Emerald in the child prodigy's hand. "Hey! Give me back my emerald!"

"No way! We found it first Fatso!" Ken shot back, making Eggman's eyes widen comically from the insult.

"Fatso?! How dare you!? That's it! I'm gonna-" Dr. Eggman then noticed something wrong with his hovercraft. He looks down and saw the screens were replaced with an image of the mutt. "What? What's wrong with this thing?"

Ken gave a sly smirk which was shared with Poochi . "I may have...given you virus that's set to blow your hovercraft up. It's one of my awesome toys I invented just in case I ever ran into you."

Eggman's eyes widened as he looked at the screen and noticed the timer around the dog was set to 0. His mustache then dropped in dread at what was going to happen. "Oh…"

BOOM!

The Egg Mobile then exploded and was sent flying across the sky. "AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!" His screams soon vanished as he disappeared from view.

"Never underestimate me." Ken chuckles as Poochi barked happily.

Up in the sky, Tails and Knuckles watched on with smiles on their faces.

"Guess we were worried for nothing." Tails said with Knuckles nodding.

"Yeah. Kid's got guts."

Later

Utonium's Residence

Sonic was laughing in amusement. "Wait! So let me get this straight. You guys found a Chaos Emerald signature while at the same time Eggman sent one of his toys out to distract you guys so that he could go there and take it. But instead of getting the emerald he got his butt kicked by Ken and Poochi?!"

It was now late with everyone gathered in the lab. Knuckles was on the sofa watching TV of course, while Tails, Ken and Sonic were sitting at the table, with the two of them telling him what happened today. Professor was there earlier but he went to his private study.

"Aw man! I wished you guys had a camera to record it." Sonic chuckled as he wiped a tear from his eye. "That would've made a great blackmail."

"This is great though! We now have two of the Chaos Emeralds!" Ken said happily, looking at the machine that was holding them. "Which means we need to find five more!

"If we keep this up we'll have all the emeralds in no time." Tails said happily.

"You bet." Sonic smirks before turning to look at the girls, who were sitting at the kitchen table. "Hey! You three doing alright?"

"No." Miyako muttered in exhaustion.

"I found a few answers." Momoko put in with a yawn.

Kaoru just looked annoyed. "This sucks."

Sonic chuckles in amusement while Tails looked a little sheepish with Ken shaking his head.

"You should've just did it when you had the chance earlier." Knuckles added his two-cents in while rubbing a sleeping Poochi's head.

"Oh shut the hell up Knucklehead!" Kaoru growls.

"Hey Tails, can you please help us?" Miyako pleaded towards her second male friend.

"Ok! Tails said as he went over to them.

Sonic smiles at them and was about to lean back into his seat to take a nap but stopped when a voice entered his head.

"Be ready for the threat that lurks in that world young warrior." The same voice from his dream told him.

The Speed Demon silently gasped and shook his head. A rare serious expression appeared on his face as he looks down in thought. "A great evil in this world...that threatens other worlds?"

So many questions ran through Sonic's head. Like...who was that voice talking to him? Whom was she talking about before when she said someone was going to recruit this 'great evil'? Recruit it for what? And that great evil she was talking about...was she talking about that shadow jester thing? Him and friends are the only ones to beat this thing?

"I got a bad feeling about this…"

Professor Utonium was up in his study, looking at the security footage from today. After hearing what happened today from the kids, and making sure that Ken was okay of course, he reviewing the footage to see if anything happened while the lab was empty.

"Dr. Eggman sent his Egg Hawk to lure Tails and Knuckles away, leaving Ken and Poochi to go after the emeralds. He was probably expecting the others to fight his Super Badnik so that he can take the emerald." Professor said to himself.

He watched the footage at the moment when Ken and the others left. There was nothing on screen for a couple of seconds before he saw something that made his eyes widen. He saw two oddly shaped robots enter his lab, wearing black criminal masks.

"They must belong to Eggman." He watched on different camera angles as to see what they were doing before they stopped and noticed the camera. The cube robot waved at the camera happily while the orb robot palm his face.

They seem to be looking for something on their person. Professor sweat dropped when he saw them pull out a mug of hot chocolate and the cube robot actually drinking it. The orb robot then found what it was looking for as it pulled out a device and pushed a button, making the cameras go static.

"And that was it." Professor said. "He must've sent them here to get something." He looks down in thought before his eyes widened. "No...he didn't…!"

Eggman's Base

"Ow! Ow! Ow! Curse that brat and mutt!" Dr. Eggman muttered as he put bandages on his face.

"Boss! We're back!" Orbot called out as he and his companion entered.

"About time!" Eggman exclaimed. "Well? Did you get what I asked for?"

"Yup!" Orbot said, pulling out a usb hard drive which Eggman eagerly took. "And more!"

"What do you mean "more"?" His creator asked, raising a brow.

Cubot reached behind him and took out a book. "I found this cool looking storybook in their library! I still can't believe they got a library!"

That just made Eggman smack his forehead in annoyance. "Oh for the love of-! Why would you take a child's fairy tale book!? What was the point?"

"It's not a fairy tale Boss!" Cubot argued, hugging the book closer to him as he looked at it. "It's a cool story about a demon that attacked a city a long time ago in the edo era before it was sealed away in a glacier."

"Yeah. I'm sure that's a very interesting…" Dr. Eggman paused as he turns to the book. "Wait. Edo era...a demon...sealed in a glacier?" He then snatched the book from Cubot, ignoring his moans of disappointment. He skims through the pages and his eyes widened. "This...this isn't a storybook. This is New Townsville's history!"

"History?" His henchmen asked at the same time.

"We just hit the jackpot!" Dr. Eggman said as he ran to his computer, still holding the book, and inserted the hard drive, causing it to turn on. A grin forms on his face. "Oh things are about to get interesting around here!"

Another image shows the boys running to the girls as they stopped in front of them, though Kaoru tripped a bit, causing them to jump. Knuckles laughed at her, Sonic chuckled, Momoko smiled at her, and both Tails and Miyako smiled sheepishly, while Kaoru herself had a annoyed expression.
