Prompt: Person A and B are sleeping but A wakes up because B is having nightmares, moving around and mumbling. A doesn't know what to do at first but then A slowly comes closer to B and hugs them. B then calms down and they both proceed sleeping.

It was raining outside the warehouse where Ladybug and Cat Noir were stuck in, the heavy sort that makes you feel all gloomy and like the whole world is being slowly washed away. Only a few hours ago they had been patrolling when it had staring coming down, leaving civilians to dash under awnings and pull umbrellas out of bags.

They were caught off guard when the akuma had attacked, leaving Chat with a twisted ankle after he had slipped in the rain. Ladybug, not one to just leave him there to be hurt even more, had taken him the abandoned warehouse they were in now, with Chat Noir curled up in a very cat-like manner asleep on one of the piles of sacks in a corner while ladybug was in a similar position on another pile of sacks.

Ladybug woke up with a start, looking around and straining her ears to see if she could hear what had made the sound that had dragged her from her sleep. while a few feet away Chat was mumbling something that sounded suspiciously along the lines of "...please…..no i can't….i won't…...please just give her back!" tossing and turning within the throws of his nightmare.

Upon realising it was just chat she got up intending to see what was wrong, slowly crossing the room she knelt down by his side but as she did so he let out a small whimper, face contorting into a pained grimace as his dreams tormented him.

"Chat?" She murmured quietly, reaching down to gently pull him from the nightmare's hold. however the moment her hand touched his shoulder he flinched back and whimpered, curling in on himself tighter than he had been previously. Hesitantly, with a voice suiting Marinette more than Ladybug she called his name again a touch louder but still he just lay there.

"Chat!" she called for a third time, louder than the previous two and just loud enough to startle Chat Noir from his restless dream.

"Wha….my lady? I-I-I," He stuttered, shock showing easily on his face as a tear finally slipped from it's place by his left eye leaving behind a small wet line as it traveled down his face, running all the way to his neck before disappearing into the black leather of his costume.

Hesitantly, she pulled the shocked cat into her arms as he froze, not trusting himself while still in shock after being torn from a bad dream so quickly.

"Are you ok?" She asked after a while as she pulled away slightly so as to see his face better. he shook his head, hair going into his eyes as he did so.

"Come here then." Ladybug said, pulling him back into her arms where he settled and leaned against her shoulder, head resting against her neck as he settled, breathing slowing down as he fell into much sweeter dreams than he had had since childhood. smiling down at him, ladybug closed her eyes and gave into the lingering sleep, falling into dreams were life was just that bit easier and no one was scared.
