Daryl could see the farm in the distance as they approached a locked cattle gate that separated the surrounding area from the farm land. His nerves felt like live wires and he knew his Isa was just as anxious as he was to be reunited. He could feel her anxiety and anticipation through their bond. As soon as the gate was open he took off on the bike towards the farmhouse he could see in the distance, not caring about anyone else. He could see his brother and Isa standing on the porch. Isa looked like she was bouncing on her toes and couldn't wait to get to him as he parked his bike as close to the house as he could.

"Daryl!" She shouted as she rushed over to him. He had never been so glad to see anyone in his life. He quickly grabbed her into a tight hug. It had been too long since he'd held her in his arms. He never wanted to go that long without her again.

"Isa, how are you baby?" He asked and then looked towards his brother to make sure he was alright too. He had been worried sick about both being out of his sight.

"I'm fine baby. Merle is too. He still has a bit of a headache from hitting his head, but he doesn't want to take anything for it. He won't even take the Tylenol Hershel offered him so we're waiting it out and making sure it doesn't get any worse." Isa told him and Daryl raised an eyebrow to his brother. That didn't sound like the Merle he knew at all. The Merle he knew would have jumped at the first chance he got to get any type of drug in his system and Daryl knew they had some of the hard stuff here.

"The kid is going to need it more than I do when he wakes up. Mine is just a damn headache baby. The kid got shot. I can survive without the Tylenol or anything else. You know the reason I won't take the harder stuff." Merle responded and Daryl nodded. He could understand his brother's reasoning, but he could also understand Isa's point too. She only wanted them to be pain free, but she'd have to realize that sometimes they would be in pain, especially in the world they lived in now. This world was harsh and ugly. They'd have to get used to not having any luxuries. It wasn't like him and Merle had any luxuries to begin with, but he had a feeling that some of the pack had had it easier than they did growing up.

"Alright. So, tell me about Carl. How is he and what can we do to make his recovery easier?" He demanded, but in a gentle tone. He didn't want to sound mean to his girl, but he was anxious to know how the pack pup was doing.

"He's stable now. It was touch and go for a while. I had to give a lot of blood because he kept losing it as quickly as we were putting it in." And at this he interrupted her. He needed to know if he needed to watch out for her in case she had a bad reaction to giving so much blood to the pup.

"How much did you give sweetheart? Are you alright? Do you need anything? Are there going to be any side effects for you?" He fired off his questions as fast as he could so he could get his answers.

"Slow down baby. I'm perfectly fine. I don't know how many pints I gave as I lost count after the first four. My blood replenishes quickly with my healing factor so it wasn't an issue. I'm fine. There's been no adverse reaction for me so far. Merle has been keeping an eye on me the whole time, even during the surgery. He kept checking in on me through the door because we wouldn't let anyone in to the semi-sterile environment we had created. I promise that I'm fine honey." She said with a sigh and he nodded his head. He'd keep an eye on her throughout the day anyway just to make sure. They didn't need anything happening to her too. She'd already been hurt once in the last couple of days thanks to that bitch vamp and he'd be damned if he let her get hurt again if he could prevent it.

"Alright. I'm sorry for interrupting. Continue about Carl darlin'." He ordered and she nodded with a mock salute. He swatted her ass in retaliation which had her give off a small shriek.

"He's fine now. He'll be weak for a little while, but we don't know what having my blood in his system is going to do to him. I need to talk it over with Sam and Jake before he possibly transforms without any of us being on guard. They should know more than I do, but we don't normally give blood transfusions to anyone that isn't already pack so they might not know either. We might have to play this one by ear so that we're prepared as much as we can be." She told him and he nodded his head in understanding. He needed to see the pack pup first though and he knew Leah was already up there checking on her mate since she'd come with the other two last night.

"Let's go see the pup and then you can talk to your brother and Sam. That way my instincts are satisfied and so are yours. We both need to check on him and you know it." He said and she nodded before leading both into the house, where an older man stopped them, that he didn't know. He quickly put Isa behind him before the man got too close. This man didn't seem like a threat, but neither did the tiny vampire at first.

"Who is this man Isabella?" Hershel asked and Daryl bristled due to his tone and the way he said her name. He didn't like the way he was talking to his mate and a human growl escaped his mouth before he could stop it. Isa put her hand on his back to try to calm him down and it worked to an extent, but he was still weary of the man.

"This is my second mate, Daryl. He's also Merle's younger brother. I told you about him during the surgery. He's been with the rest of our group back at the highway looking for the young girl from our group that is missing." She responded and Daryl could hear the fondness in her tone. His mate liked this man so he would try to get along with him for her sake and he knew Merle was doing the same thing. He could tell that neither of them liked hearing how this man addressed their mate however.

"Alright. You can go on up and see Carl, but don't stay too long. You know he needs his rest right now and it's bad enough that his mother won't leave him be so he can sleep." Hershel told them and Daryl could tell he liked the young boy and his Isa. He also heard what Hershel said about Lori. He knew that someone would have to do something about her before she caused the pup more harm. He didn't think she'd purposely hurt her own son, but he didn't know what her smothering would do to him, especially if the pup transformed.

"I know Hershel. We won't stay too long. We need to get things set up and then start the search for Sophia again. We'll be out of your hair soon Hershel. I also won't let anyone cause trouble for you. I'll do my best to keep the others in line. You won't hear much from my pack, but the others aren't under my Alpha's command, but I'll do my best. I promise." Isa promised and Daryl just hoped she could keep that promise to him. He didn't trust Shane one bit to not start trouble, but he'd help his woman keep her promise as much as he could and he knew Merle would help too along with the rest of the pack.

Once they were upstairs they noticed that Lori and Leah were both in the room with Carl. For once they weren't arguing, but by the look on Lori's face when she saw him and Merle that wasn't going to last much longer.

"What the hell are they doing in here?" Lori snapped out and Daryl could feel Isa bristle at the tone of her voice. He just knew something bad was going to happen, but he didn't know what. It was the same feeling he got when the little vamp attacked and he definitely didn't like it.

"They're here to check on the pack pup. We won't stay too long, but their instincts demand that he be checked by all members of the pack. The others will slowly come in pairs to check on him once we go back downstairs." Isa explained cautiously and Daryl was surprised. He hadn't known all of them would come check on Carl. He just thought that him and Merle would want to since Isa is Alpha Female, but he guessed it made sense. Sam would want to know the youngest in the pack was alright as well.

"My son is not a part of your damn filthy pack. I wish ya'll would get that through your thick heads. Now leave before I make you." Lori demanded and Daryl could see a sort of crazed look in her eyes that hadn't been there before. No one could have predicted what happened next as Lori charged at Isa and before anyone could stop her she took a knife to Isa's throat.

Daryl was livid. Someone had hurt his mate again and he'd done nothing to stop it. The bitch would definitely pay, but after he made sure his Isa was alright.

"Isa!" He and Merle both yelled as she went down to the floor.

"Hershel!" Leah screamed before she charged at Lori, tackling her to the ground. They could all hear the crack that went through the room that signaled Leah had broken one of Lori's bones.

"What do you think you're doing you stupid bitch? That is my Alpha Female you just attacked. You'll be lucky to escape with your life now. You'll face Pack Law for this and there's nothing anyone can do to save you now. I hope you rot in hell." Leah growled, but Daryl barely paid attention as he was too busy watching over his girl and trying to stop the bleeding with the rag he had in his back pocket.

Once again, he felt helpless to help her as Hershel rushed into the room.

"What's the meaning of this?!" Hershel demanded as he knelt next to Isa.

"That demented bitch attacked our girl." Merle growled out and he was shaking so bad that Daryl was a bit worried about his brother, but then he noticed he was shaking too. It almost felt like he was having a seizure.

"You two need to get outside. It looks like you're getting ready to phase and you don't want to be in here when you do. You'll hurt all of us if you do, especially your Isa and I know you don't want that." Leah told them and Daryl nodded. He didn't want to leave Isa, but he didn't want to hurt her any more than she already was either and he knew Leah had a good point.

"Keep an eye on her Leah. I mean it. Don't let anyone but the pack and Hershel near her." He ordered as he manhandled his brother out the door of the room, down the steps and outside. As soon as they made it to the grass in front of the house Daryl felt the most intense pain he'd ever felt in his life. He felt like his skin was on fire and he could feel his bones breaking. He quickly dropped to his hands and knees because the pain was so intense. Even the beatings from his father didn't measure up to this pain.

"What's going on?" Jared asked as him, Sam and Jacob came running over to them.

"They're phasing. Something must have happened to Isabella. That's the only reason an imprint would phase. It could happen to the others as well." Sam stated and then ordered Emily and Rachel to go check on their Alpha Female. Daryl knew he wanted them to watch over what the human doctor was doing to make sure he did everything right. They didn't want to lose Isa any more than he and Merle did.

"Easy guys. Just let it happen. If you fight it, it'll only hurt worse. Trust me. That's what I did and it hurt like hell. Isa did the same thing and I know she doesn't want you to be in the amount of pain that we were when we first phased." Jake advised and Daryl nodded. He would try not to fight, but it wasn't easy. Everything around him faded away as his mind was carried away by the pain.

~oOOo~

It took about thirty minutes before the pain reached its peak and his skin exploded. It was strange at first and then he heard the voices in his head.

Hey Daryl. Take it easy. You're alright. He heard, but didn't recognize the voice at first. Then he saw the giant black wolf in front of him, but the wolf didn't look so big to him now. They were almost the same height with maybe an inch difference.

You're about as big as I am. You'll be about a foot taller than Isabella now. Sam said into his mind.

Woah, this is freaky shit. Daryl heard Merle say and he looked over to his right. There stood his brother in wolf form as well. His brother was a mix between black and grey. When he figured out how to look through Sam's mind he saw himself as a reddish-brown and black wolf almost like his Isa.

You've got that right. The reddish-brown wolf he knew as Jake said.

We need to work on getting them changed back Jacob. Isabella is going to need them. That knife hit her just right in her throat. She's not going to be able to talk for days. The cut on her skin healed, but there's a lot of internal damage that's going to take time to heal, even for one of us. Sam said and he growled loudly. That wasn't going to help him change back and he knew it wouldn't help Merle either. He knew that the ability to change back was dependent on his ability to keep his anger in check. That was going to be a major problem for him. Merle too for that matter because he was still growling about what had happened to Isa.

She'll be alright guys. Don't worry. She's tough. Like we've been telling you since we met you. She'll pull through this and we'll make sure she's guarded. Plus, Lori will face Pack Law now. There's nothing any of the others can do about that. It isn't up to them on how to punish her now since the unprovoked attack on Bell's. Jake said and I nodded, which felt very weird with this gigantic head.

Let's get you guys changed back. Think of your human form and something that makes you happy. It'll be the way to change back the quickest. Sam ordered and Daryl felt his mind wanting to obey even though he hadn't thought of doing what Sam ordered.

That's the Alpha order. You're under Sam's command now. You'll have to do everything he says if he orders you too. Jake said and he definitely did not like that. He knew Merle wouldn't either.

That's bullshit. Merle growled out through his head.

Don't worry guys. Bells won't let him order you around too much. Get changed back so we can deal with the Lori situation. Jake said and then walked behind the RV to change back. Seconds later Jake came back and stood in front of him with a pair of jeans for him. They must have been Sam's because they looked bigger than anything he'd ever worn.

"You'll be a bit bigger in size now if you're like us. It's to hold your wolf form." Jake said and he nodded.

Slowly he started thinking about how it felt to be on two legs and with his Isa. Once that was in his mind he felt a bit of pain and then he was on two legs again, buck naked.

"That's a rush." He said as he quickly grabbed the pants from Jake's hands.

"It can be. It won't hurt to change from now on. Only the first time really hurts like that. If you get a major injury it'll hurt the first time after you're healed, but that type of injury doesn't happen often. I've only been hurt like that once and it was my own stupidity." Jared told him, and he nodded, waiting for Merle to change back.

It took another twenty minutes for Merle to get back to two legs and dressed which didn't really surprise Daryl as Merle always did have the hotter temper. He was always getting into more fights than Daryl could count, but that was just Merle.

"That is going to come in handy baby brother." Merle said with a chuckle and Daryl laughed.

"Yer damn right it will, but I want to go check on Isa. She needs us. I can feel it." Daryl said and then took off towards the house. He could hear her breathing now, which was amazing, but it was kind of labored so he wanted to be by her side as quickly as he could. The sound didn't seem right.

"Slow down Daryl. Ya need ta get a shirt on." Merle said as he caught up with him.

"Shit!" Daryl yelled and then turned so only his brother could see his back. He'd never forgotten to put on a shirt before and he could feel his cheeks heat up like they usually did when someone noticed his scars.

"Don't worry Daryl. The scars that were on your back are gone now. Your skin is completely unmarred." Jake said.

"How the hell did ya know about that?!" Daryl accused. No one around him should know about them besides his brother and Isa. He'd been careful not to let any of the others seem them.

"Bells accidentally thought about it when she was phased. She didn't mean to and I don't think she knew any of us were phased with her at the time that she was thinking about it." Jake explained and Daryl nodded. He couldn't be mad at her for that. It wasn't like she intentionally did it.

"Daryl! Merle! You two need to get in here." They both heard Leah yell and then took off once again towards the house, bounding up the steps two at a time to get to the bedroom quicker.

"What's going on?" Daryl asked Hershel and Leah as soon as they reached the bedroom door.

"She's not wanting to stay put and we've got another wolf in here to take care of. I made the mistake of telling her you two shifted so she wanted to come down and see you for herself." Leah answered and they both looked over towards the corner where a small male wolf was hunched over looking scared out of his mind and growling at anyone that came near him. They both knew right away that it was Carl, but they had to make sure, even though there weren't any other children in the pack besides him and Sophia.

"Carl?" Daryl asked and Leah nodded.

"He shifted as soon as Lori attacked Isa. I think it scared him and he's also been protective of Isa so he felt threatened." Leah said.

"Speaking of the bitch, where is she?" Merle asked.

"She's in the next room tied up. We need to have a meeting with the rest of the pack." Rachel was the one to answer.

"Good. The bitch don't need to be in the same room with Isa and the pup. She'll only make things worse." Merle stated and then slowly walked over towards Carl. Daryl watched him out of the corner of his eye, but he was more focused on the bed where Isa was. She was running her eyes over him and then they'd dart to Merle real quick, looking him over as well.

"We're both fine darlin'. Phasing was a new experience, but it was a rush. It hurt like a bitch, but the pack said that would be the only time it would hurt like that unless we were injured pretty bad and then it'd hurt the first time after." He told her and Isa nodded her head with a big smile on her face.

"I'm sure gonna miss your voice until it heals." Daryl told her and she grimaced.

"What's that look about suga'?" Merle asked as he walked back over with a now human Carl. It hadn't taken the pup all that long to shift back, Daryl noticed.

"She may never get her voice back. We're not sure. That blade did more damage than we thought it would. We have no idea why it's not healing like it should. I'm worried that Alice may have gotten some venom in her during the fight or at least on her fur which would have transferred onto her skin. And with the way the blade sliced into her, well…" Rachel said and Emily nodded her head in agreement.

"Can it hurt her any more than it already is?" Merle asked and Daryl wanted to know the same thing. He didn't know what they could do if it could do more damage, but they would both do anything they could to save their girl. They had been told that vampire venom was poisonous to their kind so he wasn't sure what they could really do if it was in her system.

"No, it shouldn't be able to do more damage than it's already done, but we need to keep an eye on her. I want to get her back outside. The wolves do better outside than they do in a house. It's something to do with their natural instincts. If you've noticed, we all like to sleep outside more than normal people. That's the wolves and their instincts being transferred to us. You'll be that way now too." Emily said and Daryl had noticed that. He'd not minded it one bit since he was used to it from his time hunting, but did find it a little odd. The humans didn't have to worry about staying warm unless it rained, which it had one night, but then they just slept in the tents while the wolves slept outside in the rain. The wolves had said that they liked it because it could cool them down a little and now that he thought about it he did feel very hot.

"We'll keep an eye on her and get her back outside. I think the rest of the pack is very eager to see her and we need to figure out what's going to happen to Lori." Daryl said and Merle nodded along with Carl.

Isa started gesturing towards Carl frantically.

"I'm alright Miss Isa. What my mom did was wrong and she could have killed you. All because you took care of me and saw me as one of your own. I'm sorry about that. She had no right to hurt you." Carl said, but Isa was shaking her head before he even finished.

"I think what she wants to say is that it wasn't your fault and you have no need to apologize for your mother's actions, which is true." Daryl said and Carl just looked down.

"Come on Isabella. Let's get you outside so the boys can look you over. You know they're going to want you to shift so they can see everything for themselves." Emily said, but before Isabella could move Daryl looked into her eyes and he felt his world shift. He knew right away what happened so he quickly looked to Merle who, once he locked eyes with Isa, had the same look that Daryl figured was on his face.

"Well, this is cause for celebration. We now have a double imprint." Emily cheered and then helped Isa off the bed.

"Does this mean something more than what the original imprint meant?" Merle asked and Daryl was curious as well.

"I'm not sure. We've never had two wolves imprint on each other simply because this is the first pack to have female shifters." Rachel answered so they continued to move down the stairs.

Once they were outside they saw the whole pack surrounding the porch, waiting for them to come outside.

"Isabella. How are you feeling?" Sam questioned.

"Samuel Uley! You know she can't talk so why would you ask her that question?" Emily chastised him and Daryl watched the Big Alpha shrink back from his tiny mate, but he knew he'd do the same thing if it was Isa saying that to him.

"I'm sorry Emily. I'm not used to Isabella not being able to talk." Sam answered and Emily nodded with a small smile on her scarred face.

"From what I can feel she's in a bit of pain, but not much. She seems frustrated too, but I think that's from not being able to talk." Merle answered for her with a shrug and Daryl concentrated more on their bond. What Merle said was true, but he also picked up a bit of happiness.

"She's also happy, but that's probably from the fact that both Merle and I imprinted on her once we made eye contact." Daryl said and as soon as those words left his mouth all the pack was cheering and saying their congratulations.

"Alright. We need to get down to business. Lori must face Pack Law. She endangered our Alpha Female and the future of this pack. If something had happened to Isabella, then both Dixon brothers would have died as well since they still would have phased. They would have only had half of their bond since their connection wouldn't have happened, but it still would have killed them." Sam stated and the pack growled even the imprints.

Daryl knew no one messed with pack, especially the females. But before anyone could say anything a very angry male voice interrupted them.

"What the hell is going on here?!"
