Thankfully, in the aftermath of the events with Taskmaster, everyone made a full recovery. Scott had to go through a bunch of therapy again, but he wasn't alone. Hope remained by his side the entire time, with Hailey to help, of course. Cassie would come by often to spend time with them, and to make sure her daddy was recovering well. She would hold and snuggle with Hailey while Hope helped Scott with stretches to get his strength back, occasionally dealing with Scott's usual dorky antics to get both his daughters to laugh. It would last just long enough for Hope to laugh, too, before she would scold her husband and get him to focus again. But at the same time, Hope was glad that Scott didn't change his humor and sweet disposition following the situation he'd gone through.
Becca's second pregnancy was admittedly a lot smoother than her pregnancy with Porter, and she was so thankful for that. Every checkup would yield very healthy results. There was no bleeding or cramping, or anything that would scare Becca out of her mind. Of course, there was always that scary worried thought in the back of her head, but with Jack by her side to comfort her, those thoughts didn't stick around for long. And boy, did Porter melt her heart the entire time. Once he somewhat grasped the idea that there was life in his mother's belly, he hardly ever stopped kissing it, snuggling it, and babbling to it. After all, it's what his dad did, so he just followed his lead. Sometimes Becca would look down to find both of her boys snuggling her belly while sleeping, and it just made her so incredibly happy. And then, early that summer, Becca gave birth to a healthy baby boy, named Carter Bruce Lawton. And of course, he was such a joy to have, and Porter adored being a big brother. Over the years, Becca would go on to have two more children: yet another boy, Chase Kevin Lawton, and finally, their fourth child was a little girl, Caroline Colleen Lawton.
For everyone, life was good, life was happy. Scott managed to stay out of trouble, mainly thanks to Hope keeping him in check, and he got to be the father he always wanted to be, and the hero he always wanted to be. The same could be said for Hope, who had never been happier to be the wasp in her entire life. She and Scott managed to balance the life of being superheroes with kids, and they wouldn't change it for the world.
However, there came some news; news that made them a little nervous, but there was nothing they couldn't handle together.
Rumor had it that Taskmaster didn't last long in prison…
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the end of Scott and Hope's story... at least until July 6th, 2018, when we are finally blessed with Ant-Man and the Wasp. Thanks again for all your support.
The End.
