Once upon a time, a little girl was awakened by a cold breeze through her room. She peeked from under her covers and saw frost forming near her window. It was so strange for that to happen in the middle of summer. The little girl slowly climbed out of bed, trying not to step on her blonde hair. When she reached the window, she saw a man looking at her paintings. "Who are you?" she whispered.

The man jumped in surprise. His eyes grew wide. The little girl didn't understand. His hair was white as snow, yet he was so young. "You can see me?" the man spoke.

She nodded and titled her head to the side, "Why is your hair white?"

The man smiled at her, "I'm Jack Frost so I'm always cold. That means my hair is cold. Why is your hair so long?" He thought it was strange how far behind her it trailed.

"It's magic," she stated simply.

Jack nodded, "Why do you live here?" Jack Frost had seen the tower while spreading winter around the world and wondered what secrets it held.

"Mother says it's dangerous out there," the little girl said, gazing out her window.

"It's not that bad if you know the right people," Jack said, patting her head. "I have to go, kid."

"Will you come back?"

As soon as he looked into her big, green eyes, he knew he couldn't say no. "Of course, I'll come back." The little girl smiled at him and gave him a hug, his cold surprised her just a little.

"I'll see you tomorrow.." Jack looked at her. waiting for a name.

"Rapunzel," She smiled.

"Good night," he said.

Rapunzel watched as Jack flew of into the night sky, excited her new friend would come and play with her.
