"Sango, Miroku! Can I ask you something?" Kagome asked.

"Sure, Kagome! How can we help you?" Miroku and Sango said in tandem.

"Do either of you know Inuyasha's favorite color? I wanted to make him something, but I'm uncertain what color I should make it," Kagome said.

"I've heard him say he loves the blue of your eyes and the green from your uniform," Sango said.

"And I've heard it's the black of your hair and the color of your face when the sunset lights it," replied Miroku.

"Also the glow you radiate when you fire a sacred arrow," said Sango.

"And the blush on your face when the two of you kiss," Miroku added.

"Hmm, thanks for the input. I've got the perfect idea of what to make for Inuyasha, said Kagome as she left her friends.

Kagome worked for months making her gift for Inuyasha. It took so long because she could only work on it in her free time when Inuyasha wasn't around. She finally finished it the night before the new moon. The next evening, she gave it to Inuyasha.

"Here Inuyasha. I have a gift I made for you," Kagome said as she handed him the wrapped item.

Inuyasha opened it to reveal a huge quilt. "A quilt?" he asked.

"Mhm. A quilt of your favorite color. Miroku and Sango listed off several colors that they had heard you say were your favorite. No matter the color they said, I discovered that it was your favorite because it had to do with me, weather it was my eyes or my hair, my clothes or the way I looked in the sunset," Kagome explained.

"And they were right, Kagome. My favorite color has been you for the longest time. I cannot remember having a favorite color before I met you," Inuyasha said as he pulled her into a loving embrace and wrapped the quilt around them both. "It's the perfect gift, and I love it. I love you, Kagome."
