There was an element of risk, unacceptable risk, in breaking into a SAS base. Yet I had to, I needed to find out if it was true. All the rumors flying around the crime network had to be wrong, I couldn't fail him twice.

Padding silently through the forest surrounding the camp, he slipped unnoticed into the housing compound. Searching for one of the faces he memorized a few days ago in the dessert sun. Then a dark skinned, stocky but lithe man exited a hut; he was the leader of the pack, Wolf.

He stopped at the forest's edge; smoking a cigarette with practiced eased causing me to frown. I hadn't smoked since I was a kid, John had also stopped me drinking, cutting it to only a small glass of vodka or brandy every blue moon.

Sneaking forward, I clamped my hand over his mouth and drag him deeper into the forest. Keeping him off balance on the back of heels so he couldn't fight. I have to admit that I found his pointless struggles to escape my grip amusing. It reminded me of the reason I was here.

"Shut up!" I hiss in his ear, sending all struggling to a grinding halt as he recognizes my faint accent.

"YASSEN!" He growls,

"Hello, Mr San-Lucas." I reply in a forcibly pleasant tone, "Where is he?"

"Who?"

"There is only one person I could be remotely interested in in this camp -no- country, tell me where he is." I demand coldly, soldiers can't be that stupid.

He turned to face me shrugging out of the loosened hold, his eyes dangerously bright. "What do you want with him? Because if you're going to use him like those pricks did, you can kill me right now."

My mind flashed, "Use?!" I shouted, not caring for instant who heard. John's son was being used like some toy? Blunt a was dead man. And he'd stay dead. Wolf's expression softened, but grew a little concerned as he realized his temper had just caused him to commit treason and that I was probably looking less human than even I should. "What did they do?"

I left little doubt in my tone that not answering, was not an option.

"I thought you guys knew, no one else did, damn it. I just found out a few days ago. They blackmailed him…"
