The True Magic Is The Way I Really Feel

Lonnie returned to the dorm room after the pep rally and found a brooding Audrey who was filing her nails. Lonnie didn't even have to ask what was wrong because Audrey instantly began moaning,

"I just don't understand how he could dump me for that…. That dragon!" she screeched causing Lonnie to secretly roll her eyes,

"Mal's not as bad as you think Audrey….. She even gave Ben one of the cookies she made last night for good luck" she said and Audrey sat up quickly,

"Cookie? What Cookie? When did she give him a cookie?" she demanded with a firm expression and Lonnie looked at her awkwardly,

"Errrrrrr… Before the pep rally" she said but before she could ask what was so important. Audrey ran out the room.

Audrey went through every book in the restricted section before finding what she was looking for,

"HA! I knew it. Love spells" she read,

"When conjuring a love spell many witches will make it appear in the form of an irresistible treat" she finished before giggling,

"I've got you now little miss dragon" she growled.

Ben was on his way to Mal's dormitory. He had offered to walk her to class that morning when suddenly Audrey jumped out from behind a row of lockers and threw a bucket of shimmering water at him he looked at her awkwardly before shaking the sleeves of his soaking blazer,

"Thank you for that Audrey… That was very refreshing" she said sarcastically and Audrey's shoulders sank,

"It didn't work… water from the enchanted lake was supposed to break the spell" she whined and he folded his arms,

"What are you talking about?" he asked and she threw the bucket on the ground in frustration before glaring at him,

"That daughter of a dragon put a love spell on you!" she yelled and he rolled his eyes,

"Audrey I knew you were angry at me but don't make false allegations against Mal" he said firmly and her mouth dropped and he smiled to himself,

"The only magic happening to me is the way I feel about her" he said before walking away. He never let on that he knew Mal had placed a spell on him but it had been broken when he took a swim in the enchanted lake on his and Mal's date.
