Chapter 11 – Underground
Previously on Modern Four…
"Welcome to this year's fashion show!"
…
"For the first runner up… Violet Parr!" the host announced but apparently Violet was still lost in her thoughts until she heard her name. She just won first runner up. She walked to the front to receive her award as well. She could hear her friends cheer for her.
"The champion is none other than Courtney Deveraux!"
…
"Violet you won!" Penny gave her best friend a big congratulatory hug.
"I lost actually." Violet said.
"Still, second place is not a bad thing especially for a freshman. You've made history girl!"
"Thanks guys."
…
"Our pendants…" Penny said as she stared at the glowing pendant on her chest. It felt like a huge weight was suddenly on top of her chest. Her breathing became deep and the others as well.
"Ha…" Violet noticed she was feeling cold as steam came out of her mouth. It was eerily familiar. They've felt this before. "Oh no…"
…
"Okay! Enough is enough!" Violet charged at the creature barely hearing her friends call out to her. Violet casted an energy sphere and threw it at the creature.
…
"Everyone! Jump!" Violet yelled.
"Off the building?! Are you crazy?!" Wilbur looked at her like she had grown two heads.
"Trust me!" Violet shouted in desperation.
…
"What was the last thing you remember?" Wilbur asked.
Penny tried to jog her memory and said, "T-that shadow-thingy was chasing us then we jumped off the building and… I don't know…"
Hiro remembered something important, "Violet! Violet y-you did something! W-with your hands! You fought that creature!"
"I remember that as well… what… what are you, Violet?"
…
"Wilbur Robinson, Hiro Hamada, Violet Parr, Penny Forrester. I welcome you to Viper Rose."
"Miss Genevieve?!"
The four were needless to say, very much surprised. Their headmistress was standing right before them in an unknown room just after they'd been attacked by the creature. Hiro was the first to recover from the shock and asked the headmistress, "What is this place? Where are we?"
"This is the Viper Rose. We are a secret organization underneath the academy." Miss Genevieve answered.
Wilbur went pale and his voice shook, "We're… underground?" The headmistress's answer raised even more questions. A secret organization? Underneath the academy? What is going on?
"What is going on?" Penny said out loud.
Miss Genevieve was very patient with her students. She knew it was overwhelming for them but they had to understand why they were here. She calmly asked them, "What was the last thing you remembered?"
The last thing they remembered was being chased by a terrifying creature and jumping of a ten story building and miraculously surviving. There's no way they could tell that to their headmistress no could they. So they settled for the latter.
"We were at the fashion show." Wilbur answered.
"And?"
"And…" Wilbur looked at his friends eyes for an answer. Nothing. They couldn't think of anything either and they can't say the whole truth either, "We don't remember…"
"Really?"
The four stood quietly and nodded at the headmistress.
"So you don't remember being chased by a dark shadow-like creature and jumping off a building now do you?" Miss Genevieve raised one of her eyebrows and smiled at them all-knowingly.
Unfortunately for the four, they heard it right. She knew. There was no escaping it now.
"H-how?"
"The security cameras around the school aren't just for display."
"Then— you saw. That thing that chased us?"
Miss Genevieve took a moment to answer, "Yes. And I unfortunately know that creature all too well." She sighed. The expression in her face was unreadable but they knew it wasn't good.
"Do you know what they are? What are they?" Hiro asked. The past few weeks have been a crazy whirlwind for them. Especially now that a creature from the unknown attacked them twice and both cases probably almost cost them their lives. It would be nice to finally have some answers for once.
"To answer that… I have to tell you from the very beginning…" Miss Genevieve said. Unfortunately this raised even more questions in their heads. They were getting really sick of it.
"Beginning of what?"
"Everything." With that the headmistress led them out of the room. They walked to a long hallway. Along the way they saw several room. They all had glass doors they could see right through. There were rooms to what seemed to be some kind of laboratory in each of them. Some looked to be a normal offices. Soon they stopped and they faced a door that seemed to be different from the others. There were no door handles. It looked like a normal glass wall from afar. But what they immediately noticed at first was the unusual pattern on the glass door. It was very familiar to them. A rose with a snake wrapped around it. Miss Genevieve placed her palm on the glass. Soon a glowing blue light surrounded her palm. Hiro immediately recognized it to be a biometrics scanner imbedded in the glass door. The glass door opened and they all walked in the room which they presumed to be their headmistress's office. The room was mostly empty except for the desk at the center of the room, a couple bookshelves, and decorative plants. The headmistress sat down on the chair behind her desk.
"Seat down, please."
The four looked around for a place to seat but noticed there weren't any seats in the office. As they were about to ask the headmistress, four flat boards emerged from the floor. They watched as the boards folded out on their own into chairs. The four sat down and faced their headmistress to listen for her explanation. Miss Genevieve looked at the four, her expression looked hesitant for a moment but quickly composed herself and began her story.
"Thousands of years ago, a great entity has struck on our world which holds great power that can either create or destroy worlds. We call it the Source." She waited for the four teens to let the information sink in before continuing, "But another came into our world: Darkness. An entity that wanted to use that power and use it to destroy everything. There was a time when it almost did but it was stopped by the power of good."
Before Miss Genevieve could explain more, Penny slowly raised her hand to ask a question to which the headmistress allowed, "Miss Genevieve, pardon the intrusion but what does this have to do with the creature that attacked us?"
The headmistress tapped a button on her keyboard. The holographic computer turned on and an image soon appeared. It was the image of a dark monstrous creature that the four knew too well.
"You these right?"
"Yes! They attacked our fashion show."
"They've also attacked us before that…"
"We call them 'Shadows'." The headmistress stated.
"Shadows…" Hiro whispered to himself.
"Why are they here? What do they want?"
"These creatures were created by the Dark to bring chaos." She explained to the four, "We've tried to hold them off for a while and we have managed to do so… until now. They've gotten stronger and it's only about to get worse." She intertwined her fingers together and grasped them tight that her knuckles almost turned white.
"How so?"
They four watched as the woman struggled to answer. "These creatures are only awaken… when their master is about to return." She dreaded the thought.
"I thought you said the Dark was gone."
"No… I said its plan to destroy the world was stopped but it was never vanquished. It was only put to sleep. No one knew when the dark will awaken but it seemed to be drawing to a close." "This is the main reason this organization was created. Do you understand?"
"So you're telling us that magic is real?"
"In a way, if that's how you would interpret it."
"I'm hardly believing any of this." Hiro commented. He was still a man of science, logic, and facts after all. Even though he's seen and read about these kinds of stuff in comic books, it's still hard for him to believe that such power can actually exist in real life.
"I know it's a lot to take in. But it is vital for you to understand the danger we are in."
Although their headmistress made a valid point, it was still difficult for Wilbur to believe as well. He knew they need to meet somewhere in the middle to resolve this, "Okay… let's say we're all on the same page here…" this caught the attention of the people in the room. Wilbur continued, "So you can stop this entity from rising and destroying the world?"
"No…" the headmistress regretfully said as she withdrew to her seat.
"But you just said—"
"I can't stop it. I don't have that kind of power." "Only the Source's chosen ones have that power."
"Chosen ones?"
"Yes… during the great battle against the Dark, the source chose four heroes to defeat it. And the case right now is still the same."
Four. That number seemed to be appearing everywhere lately. It wasn't a weird number but they couldn't help but remember when they first met Victoria. The moment she met them she immediately said the word four. Could this have something to do with this? Could it have something to do with them? It can't be just a coincidence. No. it had to be a coincidence.
Wilbur decided to play ignorant, "That's great! All you have to do now is to find them."
"We already have." Miss Genevieve stated.
"Wow! You sure do work fast." Wilbur tapped both of his knees as she stood up, "Well then, now that that's settled, we should probably head back… I'm sure you have a very busy schedule."
"I can't let you leave Mr. Robinson."
"Don't tell me— we're about to have our memory wiped, aren't we? Look I know this place must be top secret and all but I'm sure you can trust us—And even if we tell anyone about this, no one would believe a couple of first years."
"No, Mr. Robinson, I do not wish to wipe out your memory of this event. Quite the opposite. I want you to remember everything. I want you to understand. I want all of you to understand."
Wilbur sat back down to his chair. He felt sick. They all felt sick. They hoped all of these were just their dreams and that they would wake up soon.
"The Source has chosen it's champions… these champions…"
The four had their suspicions the moment they walked through that glass door. They hoped it wasn't the case. That it was just pure coincidence that they ended up here. That this isn't what the crazy old lady warned them about.
"Are the four of you."
As soon as those words were spoken, the fact has finally dawned on them. The whole room was silent for a complete minute. It's as if time had stopped. It really was them after all.
"How can you be so sure that it is us the Source has chosen?" Penny questioned
"The proof… are hanging around your necks…" She even knew about the pendants. The four took out the pendants hiding under their clothes. "These pendants are the Source's way of choosing its champions. For years we've been trying to track it, when the time comes that the Source has chosen its champions… and it has… we immediately placed a tracking device so these champions would be recruited and trained in order to defeat the Darkness. We've been watching you since the very beginning."
"What do you mean?" Hiro asked what she meant. Tracking devices? Watching them?
"And what exactly does this have to do with you?" Wilbur added.
"You don't think it's a coincidence that the four of you ended up in the same school, the same house, at the same time?"
"Did you have something to do with this?" Penny exclaimed with shock and anger.
Wilbur thought back when his father suddenly brought up the academy out of nowhere. His father couldn't possibly have thought of transferring him to another school on his own, unless told him or sent him a brochure of the academy. "You were the ones who brought this up to my father!"
"Yes, young Robinson. But we were involved far longer than that." The headmistress confessed. She pressed a few tabs on her keyboard.
The big screen in front of then opened and showed a video of Wilbur in the garage locking the door. A man in black went inside and grabbed the pendant from the car and placed a gold disk on top of it. It had the symbol of a snake wrapped around a rose. The garage door opened and Wilbur was entering the room with Carl. The man left immediately and unnoticed.
It shifted to a video of Penny's house, the man picked up the pendant and placed it inside the mailbox. The video ended with Penny going out of the house and running around the yard with Bolt.
The video then showed the hallway in SFIT, Alistair Krei walking towards the room where Hiro and his friends were. Just before Krei entered the room a man in black bumped into him and dropped the pendant on the ground, which Krei found and picked up before entering the room.
Last was Violet, who was in her superhero outfit, creating a force field to protect her family from the explosion.
"Violet?!" Penny, Hiro, and Wilbur shared the same thought and confusion to seeing Violet in a superhero outfit. They then knew she wasn't an ordinary girl. They realized that the girl had not said one word since Miss Genevieve found them.
Meanwhile, Violet was in shock that her secret was finally revealed. A man in the background placed the pendant amidst the destruction before disappearing amongst the crowd. The scene ended with Violet picking up the pendant and glowed around her. It was too much for Violet and she ran immediately out of the room.
"Violet!" her friends called out and followed her out of the room.
A man walked into the office when the four ran outside, "Genevieve, should we—" he asked but was cut off by the headmistress's immediate answer.
"No. Let's give them their space. They have a lot of things to discuss. They'll return."
"Violet! Where are you?" Penny called out.
The three teens were searching the hallway to find Violet. They heard a faint sob. A door was slightly opened and as they got closer the cries were getting clearer. The teens knew their friends was there and entered the room. It was an empty laboratory. Violet was nowhere to be seen. But her cries were visible.
"Violet, please come out. It's just us."
"We know you're scarred Vi. It's okay…" Wilbur reassured the frightened girl.
"You're still our friend Vi… no matter what." Penny said as she tried to look for a sign from Violet.
"Guys look." Hiro pointed to an odd form beside the table, it was slowly shifting to a visible form. They watched as the form appeared to be Violet sitting on the floor and with her arms wrapped around her legs.
"Wow…" Wilbur whispered under his breath.
"You guys don't think I'm weird… like I'm some sort of freak?" Violet asked cutting the sentence midway with a sob.
"What are you talking about? You've always been weird." Wilbur jokingly said. "I've never seen someone so obsessed with clothes as much as you." The comment made Violet smile a bit. Wilbur was glad to finally see a smile on her face even if it was a small one. "But no matter who or what you are, you're stuck with us whether you like it or not." Wilbur said as he ruffled Violet's hair to which he received a tiny force field that swatted his hand away from Violet's head. This didn't went unnoticed by the four as they all began to laugh.
"And having powers makes you even more amazing than you already are." Hiro said with a wink and thumbs up.
"You're still our Violet… powers or not." Penny assured her best friend.
"Thank you." Violet brought them into a group hug. Violet was truly grateful to have friends like them. They easily accepted that Violet has powers. They didn't shun her out.
"Okay enough with the sappy stuff." Wilbur wasn't one to show these types of emotion which made him feel a bit awkward. He immediately changed the topic to a more light-hearted note, "So… care to explain well... everything!"
"Violet… when we jumped off the building… you did something."
"You fought the Shadows as well… How did you do that?"
Violet slowly produced an energy ball in her hands, "Yes… I—these are my powers… I'm a Super."
"A Super?" the three gawking teens said in unison.
"It's what people in our city call others with superpowers. They're kinda short for Superheroes I guess…" Violet tried her best to explain it to her friends.
"Those people who were with you in the video, are they your—?" Hiro asked.
Violet nodded, "Yes, they're my family. And yes we all have superpowers."
"Wow, a family of Supers."
"Yup."
They were glad that Violet was open to finally sharing these with them. At the same time, Violet felt relieved she no longer had to keep secrets from her friends for once. "What exactly are your powers Violet?" Penny curiously asked.
"I can cast energy fields and turn myself invisible. I used to be able to only turn my body invisible, now I can also turn other things that I touch invisible." Violet hold onto Wilbur's shoulder and made them both invisible.
"Whoa!" Wilbur looked at his hands but all he saw was the floor beneath them. They really were invisible.
"This is awesome!"
Violet took her hand off Wilbur's shoulder and made them both visible again.
"I just realized…" Wilbur snapped his head towards with a somewhat shocked and annoyed expression, "You could've helped the two of us a lot if you used your powers in Holmwood's office you know!" Wilbur complained and pouted. It was an adorable sight Violet thought and restrained herself from giggling. They all knew Wilbur was faking it. He wasn't a very talented actor, they concluded.
The four thought back to event. Both Wilbur and Violet were stuck in Holmwood's office with no way out. If Violet had used her powers they would've gotten out of the place right away.
"Wilbur does have a point. You didn't have to keep this a secret from us. Why did you hide it from us?"
"It's because I'm a Super. We have a rule that we should never risk telling anyone our secret identities. It could put a danger to them if they knew."
Violet did make a valid point but her answer didn't feel like it was her own words but the words of another person. That's when they knew that there was something Violet wasn't telling them, "Is that really all Violet?"
"And I just wanted to be a normal girl. I never had any friends before because I was always afraid they would find out about my powers. I was afraid you would think I'm weird and cast me out. But I know now that you guys are my friends. I'm sorry for not trusting you more."
"We understand Violet."
"We promise you're secret is safe with us."
"We should head back to the headmistress. She's probably looking for us now." Wilbur said.
The four returned to the room where their Headmistress was indeed waiting for them.
"Ah! Welcome back. I assume you have settled your matters now."
"Now I think it's time to proceed with the matter at hand." "What I said is true… the four of you are the chosen ones. The Dark is coming and you are the only ones who can stop it."
The four didn't say anything and simply nodded. There was no escaping now. Even if they could, they couldn't let the world get destroyed. They knew they'd have to talk about this later.
"I know you've already been through so much today but you need to know this." The seriousness in her voice never ceased, "The Dark knows the Source has chosen its champions and is sending the Shadows to hunt you down."
That truly was a scary thought. They'd already been attacked by two of them. They were very lucky to have survived both of them. But soon that luck would run out.
"But luckily, the Dark doesn't know exactly who the champions are. The four of you are safe for now." The headmistress added, to which the four let out a sigh of relief.
"But they attacked us before, are you sure that they didn't know it was us?" Violet asked. It was the first time she finally spoke since Genevieve found them.
The headmistress smiled at Violet, glad to finally hear her speak. It meant that things were really fine with the four. Their bond seemed to be even stronger now. Miss Genevieve nodded and answered, "Yes, the first time we've saved you, I believe the Shadows were just roaming around and looking for victims when the four of you were there."
"How sure are you?"
"I am… because…" She raised her hands up and produce a glowing white light. Suddenly their pendants began to glow as well with the same light in her hands.
"What…" the four teenagers gasped.
"When your pendants were located, I gave them the power to protect the four of you. The gold disks aren't just merely designs..." They noticed that the ones glowing were the gold disks the Viper Rose placed on their pendants, remembering the video Miss Genevieve showed them earlier.
"How are you doing that? How—"
"The human body is capable of great things. But there are ones who were gifted to have a stronger capability to show them." Miss Genevieve said. Her words were vague but the four clever teens understood what she meant.
"You have supernatural powers!"
"Yes… much like your friend." Miss Genevieve said as she gestured to Violet.
A tall man suddenly walked in and waved at the headmistress. Miss Genevieve smiled at the man and walked towards him, "I think it's time you've been properly introduced. This here is my baby brother: Gideon Disney."
"Did you have to introduce me as that sis?" Gideon shook his head at his sister's antics, "That isn't my only role here." He turned to the four to make a proper introduction, "I am Gideon Disney. At the academy I am known as the Deputy Headmaster of WDA. You might've seen me or heard of me around the campus. I rarely show up or make an appearance in public."
"He's a bit shy." Miss Genevieve 'whispered' to them but it was loud enough for her brother to hear.
The younger Disney immediately snapped back a response, "Am not… I'm always surrounded with paperwork and thus rarely show up at events. Someone has to keep the school running."
"If you're siblings, does that mean you also have powers?" Violet asked curiously as she thought about her own brothers.
"I used to." Gideon simply stated with a smile plastered on his face.
"Huh?"
The headmistress smiled sadly at the four and to her brother. The four realized it must've been a sensitive topic and decided not to pry any more.
"Gene, they've gathered at the control room." Gideon informed his sister.
The headmistress nodded and stood up before facing the four, "Come… let's have you meet the rest of the team." She and her brother led the four across the hallway once more. They stopped in front of a big elevator. They waited for the elevator to arrive. The four were anxious yet excited to find out more about the organization. Their lives were practically flipped upside-down. A whole new life awaits them beyond that elevator. Will they be able to handle it? Are they ready? Honestly, they weren't. None of them expected all of this to happen. And yet here they were… about to uncover the academy's greatest secret. The elevator finally arrived and they all stepped inside. Soon, the elevator brought them to an even lower floor. Just how deep underground were they?
The elevator doors opened and revealed a massive control room. There were several stations. The four had difficulty figuring out the purpose of each one. All they saw were numerous computer screens, each of them had a person working on them. A massive screen filled up a whole wall and displayed a bunch of images, footage, and charts that the four couldn't understand. The headmistress turned her head to see the four teenagers looking around with extreme fascination in their eyes and she couldn't help but smile proudly. The four's attention were brought to a few people standing in a row, apparently waiting for them.
"Wilbur, Violet, Penny, Hiro." The headmistress called them to grab their attention, "I would like you meet our team." Miss Genevieve introduced them one by one. They had a team for surveillance, network, consultants, communications, weapons and equipment, and more. Some of them the four recognized walking about the campus, some they never met before. One of the people they immediately recognized was someone they've met recently.
"Here we have Ms. Yuki. She's our lead researcher." Miss Genevieve gestured to a woman wearing a lab coat.
"Ah!" the four exclaimed as they realized why the person in front of them looked familiar.
"You're the librarian!" Penny said. Indeed it was the librarian but she looked very different. She wore a different attire from her usual librarian get-up.
"Nice to see you again." She smiled brightly at the four.
"You look different." Hiro stated.
"Well seeing as being the librarian is my disguise, I tend to look different from my usual self." She said as she playfully winked at the four. Indeed she was different. Even her personality was different when she's the librarian.
The headmistress continued on with her introductions and saved the best for last, "And finally we have Leal… he's our top agent here at VR." She gestured to a tall man wearing everything black. From his sleeveless shirt to his cargo pants. But what was most noticeable was the black mask covering half of his face from his nose down and his striking white hair.
The four instantly recognized the man. "Wait… aren't you…"
"This isn't the first time you've met…" Miss Genevieve said to them as she chuckled at the surprised expression of the four.
"You saved us… from those Shadows…" Hiro said as he stared the man in front of them. The mysterious man didn't say anything though. As if he couldn't be bothered talking to them. Luckily the room wasn't silent for long when Wilbur spoke.
"When those Shadows first attacked… why didn't you tell us all of this back then?!" Wilbur exclaimed.
"You weren't ready." The headmistress said, "But now… you need to be…" They needed to be as time was running out. If they had told them the first time, they probably wouldn't have believed them at all. The four wouldn't have accepted the role. Everyone in the room understood what the headmistress meant, even the four themselves finally understood.
"How did Leal defeat those Shadows before?" Violet asked the headmistress, wondering if Leal also has superpowers. It was her first time encountering people with superpowers outside of Metroville.
"It's his blade." Miss Genevieve pointed out the thin sword on Leal's waist. "It's made from pure magical essence… it can transform to any weapon he wishes and it took us years to perfect it." She explained, "But…" she added dejectedly.
Gideon stepped up and continued the explanation for her sister, "Even with the blade… it isn't strong enough to defeat them. We've detected the shadows getting stronger… the only way they could be defeated is with pure magical energy…"
"Yes… the magical energy you possess." Genevieve pointed towards Violet.
"Me?" Violet asked and pointed an index finger at herself, bewildered by the sudden claim that her powers can defeat the Shadow creatures.
Gideon and Genevieve nodded, "Yes, your power is energy manipulation and invisibility. And with you being one of the chosen ones, you have the key power to overcome the Shadows."
"But my power isn't strong enough to defeat those things. I barely made a scratch on one that attacked us last night." Violet exclaimed.
The two Disney sibling looked at each other, then to the four with both having confused looks on their faces, "Do you know how you managed to survive from the attack?"
"Didn't you— You saved us…" Violet replied.
The two shook their heads. "No… by the time we've arrived, the shadow was long gone. That's when we later saw what happened. In the act of desperation, you casted a force field around you and your friends so strong that it vanquished the shadow when it was hit." The four teens were surprised by the sudden revelation. Violet was the one who saved them from the shadow. She defeated it with her powers. "We got this footage from the security cameras." The footage showed them falling from the building. Violet casted a force field around them. It then showed the Shadow colliding with the force field which shattered like glass and the Shadow disintegrated into noting.
"So I can defeat them?" Violet was one who was surprised the most. She had no idea she even had that much power.
"If you grow strong enough with much training. I assume you haven't practiced your powers as much…"
"No…" Violet responded sadly. She hasn't been using her powers much because she was never really into the whole Superhero business unlike her brother Dash. She never bother to really practice her powers aside from the minor things.
"It's okay… we understand…"
"It actually explains a lot."
Penny interrupted Gideon and Genevieve's conversation, "But even so… don't you think it's dangerous to leave it all to Violet on her own." She said worried for her best friend's safety. Indeed that Violet was powerful but the Shadows were dangerous creatures.
"Who said she was going to be alone?" Gideon asked, amused by the sudden question from the red-headed girl.
"But you just said that only Violet has the power to defeat the Shadows."
"She's the one with magical powers…"
"We weren't just pertaining to Violet's magical energy… We meant it for the four of you." Genevieve clarified her previous words.
"What?" their response were merely a whisper, thinking they heard her wrong.
Gideon laughed at the four's dumbstruck faces and finally said, "All four of you possess the capability of having super powers."
"What?!" the four shouted. They couldn't believe what they just heard. Powers? Them?
"How is that possible?!" Wilbur demanded answers.
"Being the Source's chosen ones grants you the powers to defeat the Dark." Genevieve explained, "Violet already has powers because it is in her bloodline as both her parents have powers as well."
"You three will gain yours soon. It is uncertain how…. But in order to defeat the Dark, you must undergo training." Gideon said with a strict tone in his voice.
"When do we begin?"
A/N
M.A.: hello everyone! First things first, thank so much to all my readers for continuing on supporting this story. I know it's been tough but I tend to think of the positive side of things. Since I've been stuck at home for months, I've had time to reorganize this little hobby of mine. And I am really excited to show to you guys the upcoming chapters.
Penny: this A/N will be a short one because Mari here needs to sleep. It's currently 11:40 pm and some might think it's still early. But this girl has been awake for 36 hours
Hiro: Well to be exact it's been 37 hours 44 minutes and 23 seconds and counting cause she's still doing this A/N
M.A.: Oh c'mon I'm perfectly fine I rested for like two hours earlier.
Violet: No way missy! We are wrapping this up quick
Wilbur: Let's begin with the reviews. Because it hasn't been that long since your last update, which is a week ago… there aren't much reviews yet.
First we have from bulk Locke the the grim head:
There is only one way to describe this Chapter and that is EPIC! God I cant wait to find out what the Viper Rose is does it have anything to do Hiccup ect what was that monster was some for of could it have pitch black probably not but still cant wait for the next chapter
Wilbur: See told ya it was gonna be EPIC! So basically this chapter explains mostly what the Viper Rose's role in this story. But I promise you that there is something more to this organization than what it appears to be. Is it gonna be good? Is it gonna be bad? Well, you'll just have to stick around to find out.
Penny: Unfortunately, like we stated since the first chapter this story will have nothing to do with the big four. The main focus in this story is us, Modern Four. And Mari doesn't want to divert the attention away. So no Big Four characters for now but who knows maybe in in the future the universe of this story might expand. I mean we did travel to that one castle—
Violet: (covers Penny's mouth)
Wilbur: Oh man I can't believe Red just slipped.
Penny: I did!
Hiro: Hey Mari's asleep.
Penny: Really? I'm safe.
Hiro: Yes, now keep it down. Help me get her to her bed.
Penny: Okay thanks, Vi take over for me.
Violet: hmm? Sure, let's see we have another review from Nicole uwu: Love this! uwu. Aww thanks Nicole. I'm glad you like this story. I hope to hear from you again.
Next we have from HashSlingingSlas: I read 1-13 and commented like a year ago and ive been waiting and just today I remembered this story and I was so happy to see it updated this is by far my favorite Disney story yet. Keep it up.
Wilbur: Wow a year ago huh…
Violet: I know, it's really amazing that even though this story doesn't update that frequently, some our readers still come back. I'm honestly really touched.
Wilbur: yeah…
Violet: Wilbur are those… tears?
Wilbur: what? No! I just got something stuck in my eye and it's getting really late I'm tired (yawns)
Violet: Yeah, it definitely has been quite a roller coaster ride with this chapter.
Wilbur: And we're still riding that roller coaster. Which means more ups and downs and loops are about to come.
Violet: I'm so excited!
Penny: Hey guys, we're back!
Violet: Great, we're just about done here too.
Hiro: did you ask them what they thought about this chapter yet?
Violet: Oh! I haven't. Please tell us what you guys thought of this chapter.
Wilbur: Also comment down what you think our powers are gonna be.
Hiro: Good one! I think mine's going to be pretty obvious though.
Penny: True but you do have that— you know what they've had enough spoilers
Violet: This is a really weird A/N. Wilbur's not getting in trouble.
Wilbur: Red keeps messing up. It's like the world just turned upside-down. What is going on?
Penny: Speaking of upside-downs here—
Wilbur, Violet & Hiro: AAAHH! Bye guys! See you in the next chapter!
