"You're an absolute twat, you know that?" Harry couldn't detect the lie in the exasperation. Harry was a twat but not for what Mr. Prissy assumed he was, Harry was actually surprised it had taken him a whole of seven minutes to mention it.

Harry chuff a smile, because it had become difficult to look at his face without that warm fluttering feeling striking up a storm in his chest. His head knocked on the Hogwarts stone wall and the faint moonlight streaking into the barren hallway illuminating Malfoy's pale lashes.

He nodded, "I've been told," he revealed, "Usually by you that is."

"Lot of good it did you," Malfoy mentioned, sucking on the head of a chocolate frog. Harry was still going through the packet he'd gotten for his Birthday; there was only so much he, Ron and Hermione could eat without the sugar setting in a sickness. He licked the chocolate off his upper lip and Harry quirked a smile at it, "You didn't stick your name the goblet."

Harry exhaled and said for what had to be the millionth time that day that, "No. I was actually looking forward to a quiet year, that idea has obviously been tossed out into trash." Harry sucked on flailing limb of a chocolate frog, differing to the chocolate of his thumb before resuming.

Malfoy was a little sidetracked and Harry grinned, the expression enough. "It was never going to be quiet," he said.

"Yeah but it shouldn't have been for a good reason, or at least a reason I chose, and not another attempt on my life." If he didn't think it was pure luck he was surviving he might have invited it, obviously this wasn't that case.

Malfoy arched a sly eyebrow, his lips just short of a grin and his eyes sharp and gleaming, hitting a shot of heat through Harry's throat. "I have a good reason, question is, are you choosing it?" he asked quietly.

Light blared half of Malfoy's pale face, cutting it through the center in a jagged edge of dark and light. His pale eyes disappearing in the whites of his eyes save for a little splash of silver. He was bloody gorgeous and Harry couldn't articulate it, "Yeah," he managed. The harsh light softened over his lips, the dip of his cheeks and the dip of his brows and Harry was aware, Malfoy was fond of his lack of coherency.

"I'm choosing it," Harry clarified, hazily pressing a soft kiss to his lips.

Malfoy's lids fluttered open, color dusting his cheeks and a crooked smile set another press of lips, slim fingers coming up to cup Harry's jaw. Harry realized Malfoy was choosing him too.
