Well. It's been a long time coming but the writing is now on the wall.

I'm officially leaving the KHR fandom, so I will not be updating any of my remaining fics. Sorry guys. It's been fun, but it stopped being fun a while ago. I stopped enjoying this fandom largely because of the people in it and when I moved in I found it so much more fun and less stressful in other communities. So I'll be posting what I had planned for each of my KHR fics, I ask that people please do not copy or continue them further, I worked hard on them, they're still my babies, and Rei and I have already shared a lot with this community. Please respect our wishes, mine especially, when it comes to my fics. Do not repost or continue them, please.

It's been a fun eight years (almost exactly) since I started writing here. But the time has come to say goodbye.

PLANS FOR: PLAYING WITH FIRE

Playing With Fire actually starts as a flashback. Harry and Renato meet, harmonize, fall in love, and live together for several months in Mafia Land where Harry becomes the unofficial Sky of Mafia Land. Harry occupies a completely neutral position on the island as his primary concern is with Renato, and then eventually his employer, the homeless kids, and then the island's denizens and staff as a whole. Mundungus spots him quite by accident when he visits the magical branch of mafia land to fence some stuff, and immediately goes rushing back to Dumbledore to rat him out. Dumbledore shows up, takes Harry, amends Renato's memory, and then erases his presence there at Renato's flat – but he misses one single thing, a photograph hidden in Ren's hat.

Dumbledore then amends Harry's memory once they're in England and that's when Harry, aged twenty-five, an auror, snaps awake in a Healer's office in St Mungos.

Harry had continued as Canon until an incident several years into his auror career sees him being memory charmed repeatedly at random as a form of torture. He has to go to a mind healer who slowly works at undoing every memory charm on him, allowing him to not only find out that the Dursleys abuse on him was a lot worse than he recalled, that Voldemort had attempted to recruit him properly more than once, and a whole bunch of other stuff happened at Hogwarts, like his befriending people of Slytherin house, being attacked by people in Slytherin house, being attacked by Hufflepuff and Gryffindor, etc. Harry had a LOT of memory charms.

Ren however realised his memory was messed with barely a month after Harry was taken when all the little things didn't add up. When people he'd never have any reason to interact with spoke to him happily and asked how Harry was. When Renato's mentor, Sword Emperor Tyr's predecessor's new Rain Guardian, rocks up, Ren informs him that his memory has been modified. His Mentor hires Viper, a very powerful Mist, to destroy the memory blocks. And Renato starts looking for his Sky, he never finds him.

FAST FORWARD

Tsuna has just defeated Kawahira, the Arcobaleno curse is broken, they have their lives back.

Talbot rocks up and informs them of a specialist he happens to know who could return them to their correct ages if they so desired. They all leap at the chance and so off they trundle after Talbot who leads them to a traditional estate not far out of Namimori, hell, it's practically next door to Hibari actually. But Reborn never noticed it. Talbot explains its warded against just about everyone as the man who lives there has had quite enough of people thank you very much.

A huge heavily muscled and tattooed foreigner answers the door. Talbot asks him to fetch his father.

The guy demands to know who he is, gets told, grimaces and heads back inside. A moment later, who should come to the door but Harry, who hasn't aged a day past 30.

Skull, at this point, starts HOWLING.

Surprise. Skull is actually Draco Malfoy. The twins hit him with a prank spell for being a little bastard, a very milk prank compulsion that basically lowered his self-control. Draco starts screeching and demanding that Harry fix him only to have it pointed out that a simple first year finite could have done it at any point. Draco hadn't thought of that because without his self-control he was too easily distracted and thought that because it was the twin menaces he would need something super complicated.

Harry and Talbot get into an argument about the debt Harry owes him about the philosopher's stone, but Harry eventually lets them all in even as he tells Talbot to fuck off. The only reason he's helping is because Skull is family, and seriously, why the fuck are you using your third flame? You're a primary storm Draco, secondary lightning. Why are you using your Cloud flame?

"Because neither Fon or Verde have secondary flames, and I can't hold three Tri-Ni-Sette! What do you think I am, Potter?!"

Harry agrees to give them all their adult bodies back, but they have to pay for it. Well, Skull doesn't. It's kind of Harry's fault for allowing his Mists to curse him in the first place that brought him to them so he'll deal with that for free. But the rest of them have to pay. Lucky them it'll be an easy price for a bunch of mafia.

They have to figure out how to kill him.

It causes an immediate uproar because how is he supposed to help them if he's dead, he gestures to the tattooed guy who changes shape in front of them revealing himself to be Teddy Lupin and then explains that Harry's been training him. All Harry has to do is make the needed potion and then Teddy can apply it.

Harry stopped ageing thirty years ago, and after incidents while working as an auror he realised he couldn't die either. He's scared of being like Talbot, of remaining while everyone he knows and loves dies around him. So that's his task for them, kill him, and he'll give them their old bodies back.

Reborn refuses, and instead offers to find his Sun Guardian.

Harry rejects it, stating that it's been fifty years. His Sun will have moved on, settled, built a family, found another Sky, or died. A few months together as teenagers was nothing compared to the life and commitments made in the decades since, he wasn't that selfish.

I never did figure out a way to get things arranged, but it eventually culminates in Harry giving them their bodies just so they'll fuck off out of his house. He doses them with a modified Ageing potion. Only Reborn being the mathmatical genius he is, calculates based on the amount he tells them to drink to put them to a specific age how much to take to make himself look like a teenager. Does so. Stuns Harry. And then takes the rest of it to grow up completely.

Difficult conversations ensue, and culminates in Reborn suggesting that Harry just link his life-force with his. That way he'll age as Reborn does, and he'll die when Reborn does (Reborn cheerfully not mentioning the fact that as a ridiculously strong Sun he's probably going to be kicking around for at least two hundred years. He's the Elite Home Tutor of the Vongola, he's got to ensure certain standards are maintained afterall).

And that was to be the end of the fic.

Again, please do not continue or repost these fics. Or regurgitate these ideas either.
