Konohagakure no Sato, home to the Will of Fire.

Fire knows sadness and defeat, knows joy and knows triumph. It is unrelenting and tenacious, warm and constant. Its flame burns bright, knowing only one home: Konoha.

There is a shadow of fire, looming over Konoha. It watches over its home, protecting its flame, its people.

The First Shadow will sacrifice itself to win a war for its home. The Second will do the same, leaving behind its students. The Third will pass on the torch, but return to protect its home one more time. The Fourth will save the village from a demon, only to die by its hands. The Fifth will be a healer, wind to spark a flame.

Every time the fire is dimmed, it will only rise higher.

The sparks of the flame are carried in the hearts of those from Konoha. It is not a legacy. It is a part of them. It burns deeply, a creed of camaraderie and hope.

It lives everywhere in Konoha.

It lives in the shinobi who work overtime in a hospital to save their comrades' lives. It lives in those who steep themselves in darkness only to protect Konoha. It lives in those who stand guard, place themselves on the front line.

It lives in those who work to teach the next generation. They will teach the young ones how to fight, how to survive. They will also teach them the meaning of friendship and resolve. In this way, the sparks will give way to flames.

It lives in those who put everything on the line to defend it. All who pound on Konoha's doorstep, calling for violence, will end up in smoke, and they will know that fire is unyielding.

There are shinobi who have given their lives for Konohagakure. And there are shinobi who must and will carry on, no matter their pain. The fire lives in them too.

Every time the fire is dimmed, it will only rise higher.
