This is my first fan fiction, please review! "Will was a great man, he will surely be missed. William played football, soccer and golf. He was a man of pure talent. Playing all of those sports and being able to get straight A's in school, and always enjoying spending time with friends and family. William James Herondale will be missed" the pastor says. In the first row of the church, Tessa was sitting, Will's girlfriend. She was sitting all by herself, with a tissue dabbing her eyes, she slowlys lifts her head to see someone standing in front of her. Will's mother. "Hello, Mrs. Herondale" "Tessa, sweetie. You know that you can call me Charlotte" she says with a sad smile. The girls ended up talking about everything, when Will was a baby, what he was like in his child years. They soon went to her house and started to look at pictures. They talked and they cried, they also laughed. When the night starting getting late, Tessa bid her good bye and started the long walk home. ~page break~ "Where the hell have you been?!" Tessa's father Eric screamed the second she walked through the door. "Sir, I was at Will's funeral. I apologize for being home so late, sir... I think I will just go to my room sir" Tessa whispered. "Get your ass over here, missy" Eric said in a dangerous voice, "You were late so you must be punished" "But sir... it was an accident" Tessa whimpered. "I DO NOT CARE. How dare you back sass me!" "I did not mean to sir.." Tessa cried. Eric walked over to his daughter, he was so close Tessa could smell the whiskey on his breath and almost gagged. The rest of the night was a blur, all Tessa knew was that she would not wake up the next morning. She was glad, the abuse was finally over... but that means leaving behind everything and everyone not knowing what was going to happen next. I know this is a short chapter but the rest of them wont be this short, I promise! ~DF
