Hi there, long time no update, I've been really stressed over the past year and I think that writing is a good outlet for me, so I am trying to get back into it again. I'm not exactly sure if anyone actually reads this story anymore, or any of my stories for that fact since they haven't been updated for over a year. This is a prompt from Ember411 after Evie has given birth to, she is upset that she isn't back to her pre-pregnancy body.

Evie had just come back from her daily run, winding back at the same spot she did every morning. Standing in front of her elegantly carved full-length mirror, gifted generously to her from Doug's father and uncles she slowly undressed. Spinning around, she judgementally looked at her body; mentally taking note of all the ways it wasn't the same as before she had Ahren.

She went for a run all the way down to the enchanted lake and back every morning before Doug went to work and visited the gym in the hours after Doug and Ahren had gone to sleep for the night. The blue-haired girl looked dejectedly at herself in the mirror. Sighing, she put a sweatshirt and shorts on and walked out the door to check on Ahren.

Doug rolled back around, opening his eyes and closing his mouth, grimacing at the drool that he felt on his face. He sat up, covering his face and sighing, hearing his wife talk sweetly to their son. Every morning since Ahren was a month old, they followed the same routine. He would feel Evie wake up, feed Ahren and leave the house while he would pretend to be asleep. Later, he would hear her come back and pretend to be asleep again, with his eyes partially shut so he could watch her in the mirror only to see her put on concealing clothing and when he had deemed in long enough to not be suspicious, he would get up and pretend he had just woken up and they'd do it all over again the next day.

The next morning, Doug let Evie think he was still sleeping when she left, and he let her think he was still sleeping when she came back, until she had stripped off all her clothes and was carefully examining her self again.

"Why do you do that?" He asked her, meeting her eyes through the reflection of the mirror. "Why?"

She jumped, suddenly breaking eye contact with him through the mirror. "Do what? I-I'm not doing anything, just just getting dressed again, is all… " She tried to convince him, trying to play the dumb card from her days when she had first come to Auradon.

Doug got out of bed, encircling the smaller woman around her waist with his arms, frowning when she tried to push him away, covering her stomach with her arms.

"E," he tried again, kissing her neck, " You don't let me touch you anymore, and you get up early and go out after we've gone to sleep, talk to me,"

Evie slowly turned around, facing the man who had grown taller than her over the years. She quietly spoke and if he hadn't been standing so close, he wouldn't have known that words were even coming out of her mouth, "I can't let you touch me until my body is the same as it was before Ahren,"

Suddenly the realization of the way she felt devastated him. "Evelyn," he said, tilting her chin up with his thumb, "Listen to me very, very carefully, your body is beautiful. Listen to why it looks different from nine months ago,"

"You had a baby. Our baby. And I think that he's a pretty damn good shot for future heartbreaker don't you think? Just like his mother," Doug smiled, watching as her eyes met his with a twinkle. Watching those twinkles made Doug feel like he finally found the last two stars in the night sky that he had lost months ago. "If you want your body to change again, don't feel like you have to hide it from me. I love you no matter what, and if you want this, I will support you,"

Evie kissed him, the impact of the kiss throwing him off balance, onto the bed. When they broke away, they were both smiling like maniacs. A cry came from down the hall, Doug rolled off the bed, pulling Evie up by her hands. Together, they went to check on the light of their lives.

Sometimes, Doug catches Evie looking at her body after they come back from the gym together. He thinks at least now, they are able to do this together, and he's glad that there are no more secrets between them anymore.

Evie looks at herself in the mirror, watching her body slowly go back to what it used to be. But as soon as the degrading thoughts start, she replaces them with thoughts of what the changes in her body resulted in.

That's all for now folks! I will be accepting requests/prompts for this story again, but please keep in mind we are trying to keep this story out of the mature zone.
