Before Hiccup could even react to not having the protection of the wall anymore, he felt the air being sucked out of his lungs.
"Dad!" Hiccup wheezed, "Can't… breathe!"
Unfortunately for Hiccup, the moment he was put down by his father, he got tackled to the ground by the other teens. They were very happy that he was NOT dead, even if they didn't show it, for many different reasons. They bombarded his face with words as he tried to stand up.
"Oh, we're glad you're not dead!"
"Who else would teach us how to make stuff explode?!"
"You're cool, I guess."
"Oh, you muttonhead!" Astrid cried as she swung her fist towards Hiccup's arm as he was trying to find his balance. "That was a very dangerous thing to do!"
Before Hiccup could even react to the punch, he got tackled to the ground, AGAIN.
"We love you!" Fishlegs exclaimed.
"Especially Astrid…" Ruffnut mused as she ran behind her brother and pushed him to Astrid.
"Hey! Ruffnut, COME BACK HERE!"
Thankfully for Hiccup, Toothless managed to drag him out of the area where a small crowd was forming to watch Astrid chase the twins around. "Thanks, bud", he managed to get out as he was finally able to stand up. When he looked up, he saw his father looking at him.
"Uh…" Hiccup drawled, not knowing how to start. Stoick's expression reflected his, as they both had a lot to say but didn't know how to.
"Hiccup, I-"
"Dad, I-"
After realizing they both were speaking at the same time, they rushed to speak before the other
"I'm sorry!" they both apologized.
After a lot of "Umm…"s and "You go first. N,o you go first"s, Hiccup decided that it would be better if he just went first.
"First of all," he started, "I'm sorry. For all of it. For lying and for-", Hiccup frowned and faltered at the sight of his father's outstretched hand.
"Look, son, you shouldn't apologize for anything. In fact, I should be the one apologizing to you, for everything. I should've listened when I had the chance and shouldn't have discouraged you. I-" Stoick took a moment to clear his throat and to look back at his son's expectant eyes. "I know that I messed up. I didn't act like a proper father should've. I haven't, and I admit it. How about we put this in the pass? Let's start over. You tell me more about that dragon of yours and I will listen. Actually listen.", he added that last part after seeing his son's eyebrow raise at the prospect of his father actually listening to him. "Deal?"
"Deal", Hiccup confirmed with a smile. He was glad to finally be able to form an actual, meaningful relationship with his father. He had high hopes for the future. However, before he could start envisioning those plans, he heard someone clear his throat from behind him. When he turned around, he saw Gobber fidgeting with his fingers, trying not to cry.
"Uh, Gobber…" Hiccup started, not sure where the conversation was going to lead to. Before he could blink, Gobber hugged Hiccup and started bawling into his bony shoulder (or at least he tried to).
"Yer leg! It's gone! But, yer so young..." Gobber managed to get out in between wails.
With no idea on how to handle the situation at hand (and from a That's your problem shrug from his dad), Hiccup tried to reassure Gobber. "No no no. It's ok. Really! I was expecting much worse when I saw the other me fighting the huge dragon!". His words of reassurance were met with a loud wail. "Well, at least trolls can't steal my left socks now, can't they? You know, since I'll be missing a left foot and all…".
Those words seemed to do the trick since Gobber let go of his apprentice and managed to reply while wiping away several tears. "Hahaha…" he attempted to laugh between his difficult attempt at wiping his tears away. Suddenly, as if possessed by a demon, he grabbed Hiccup's shoulders and hauled him close. "No, but seriously. Don't do it again."
Then, as if nothing had happened, Gobber patted Hiccup's shoulder and went on his merry way, leaving Hiccup in a state of confusion and bewilderment.
"Um. Now, what?" Hiccup asked no one in particular. Before anyone had the chance to turn and question his or her neighbor with "What are we doing now?" "Do you know?" and "I'm hungry…", a piece of paper poofed out of thin air and fluttered down into Stoick's awaiting hands.
Dear Vikings of Berk,
With a loud clearance of his throat, Stoick waited until the room had calmed down, for the most part, before continuing.
After finally watching this movie, I'm pretty sure you've all got a lot to think about. So, I'll leave you to that. In a few minutes, you'll all be transported back into the where you guys just were before coming here.
You're finally free. Yay.
However, everything that was shown will occur in your timeline. And, none of you will have any recollection of being here and watching your future.
"Then what's the point?!" several vikings grumbled.
You may be wondering, "What's the point of us being sent here?"
"*Gasp!* She's a witch!" Bucket exclaimed while pointing at the piece of parchment paper.
Well, other than for sheer entertainment, for me anyways, these memories will come back to you. Eventually. Some time after when Hiccup wakes up in your timeline, you will all remember what you have seen here. I hope that these couple of hours have led to some, hopefully, thinking (probably not)-
"Hey!"
-and reflections from your mistakes from the past. I hope that experiencing something twice will make you realise that there are somethings that need to be fixed, seeing that the future's a mystery and that it can lead to many unpredictable circumstances.
"Wow. That was deep", the twins appreciated the wise words that were said by wise me- I MEAN THE AUTHOR OF THE PAPER.
I know. That was deep.
"How does she do that?", questioned Ruffnut.
"Witchcraft, I tell you. Witchcraft!" replied Tuffnut because witchcraft is the only possible solution to a question like that.
In order to transport back, you just need to say the words.
Sincerely, (lol)
A-Person-You-Kind-of-Now-Know (not really)
Btw, I'm not a witch.
Many loud gasps could be heard from across the room with Tuffnut mumbling "That is something a real witch would say!" here and there.
For many, the letter had left some unanswered questions, such as what were the words they were supposed to say? Finally, Snotlout managed to voice their confusion after almost a chapter of him not speaking at all. "But what are we supposed to say"
"Very simple", Tuffnut responded with a wicked smile adorning his face. "The words".
Very suddenly and quickly, random vikings began to disappear randomly from the room.
"But my sandwich!", managed to let out an anguished Magnus (sandwich guy) as he teleported away from the movie theater.
But do not fear.
I let him take his sandwich with him.
A/N: So... That's a wrap! I think this is the longest chapter I have written! (not including scenes from the movie).
BTW, the guy that is always hungry is now named Magnus. The name Magnus means "the great one" or something like that. He is great in my eyes, so...
I would like to thank all of you that made this story possible. Especially those who have supported me from the beginning. I was originally going to make the "thank you's" and future plans as part of a separate chapter, but then I decided to just condense it into one long one.
Fun Fact: The main reason that I decided to start this story was for Hiccup to finally be able to tell Gobber that it would be impossible for Trolls to take his left socks, seeing as he's missing his left foot. Seriously. I waited almost 3 years to type that, and I almost had to cut it out because I didn't know how to incorporate it into the story.
Another fun fact: This story was going to have its third year anniversary be next Sunday (July 8th), but I decided to post now because I knew that you guys wouldn't like to wait another week for the last chapter. So, yeah.
I don't think you guys know how much this story means to me. I started writing this story in middle school, and now I'm in high school. Something happened to my computer between that time, and I almost lost all of the chapters, but I'm glad I wrote this in google docs because I managed to get the files back. Yay!
Now, I have received several comments asking me if I'll continue with HTTYD 2 or RTTE. The answer is: Yes. I do want to write more of these kinds of stories but it will take some time. My schedule for now is:
- Finish "Watching HTTYD" (check)
- Write a story about watching "The Legend of the Boneknapper Dragon"
- Write a story about watching "The Gift of the Night Fury" (will be published in December)
- Write a story about watching HTTYD 2 (it will probably be published sometime next year because I want to prewrite most of it before I publish it to prevent months of no updates. BTW, Draconicbeing2.0, I think I will use your idea and put Drago in an invisible box ;) )
- For fun, every once in a while (hopefully more than once a year), I will publish chapters about the gang watching ROB, DOB, and RTTE. (If anyone knows where I can find scripts for these, that would be very helpful)
- Sometime, I will publish a watching "Dawn of the Dragon Racers"
- In the future, after finishing the "Watching HTTYD 2", (and coming back to life), I will make a "Watching HTTYD 3".
See you next time!

P.S: Did anyone count how many times Spitelout facepalmed in total? I know its more than 5...
