Ever since she had been sixteen, her whole life had been shaped around what he needed or wanted from her.

The thought of changing to be anything other than what he moulded to her to be leaves her terrified.

That's why she's standing over a screaming Alice Longbottom not because she wants to cause her pain, or because she believes that she knows anything but because being anything other than what made her is scares her.

Because her whole life was carefully structured in serving her Lord and without that there is only fear.
