A/N Please tell me what you think.

Disclaimer: I don't own PJO. I also don't own the truly annoying thing known as irony.

Because we once were mighty, strong, and tall,

Full of hope with many a dream,

But then came the fall,

And all we could do was scream.

o-O-o

Darkness, blackness, nothing bright,

The stars are gone.

There is no light.

We are lost in a place where evils spawn.

o-O-o

(And in the cold

Are hands held tight,

From a girl with hair of gold

And a boy with hair as night.)

o-O-o

Then from the mist, the darkness, the gloom

Came the sound of many monsters' roars.

And two souls learned the meaning of doom

As crimson blood spread across the floors.

o-O-o

One voice rose above the many

To say that the gods ignored their needs.

He said their lives were worth less than a penny,

And all they had done was worthless deeds.

o-O-o

"You've served the gods all these years.

(And I guess that's all good and well.)

But where are the gods to see your tears?

All they have done is give you a one-way ticket to hell."

o-O-o

Two men that once were foes,

(A titan and a giant),

Had the good side chose.

To evil they became defiant.

o-O-o

They tried to save them from a terrible fate,

(The brave boy and girl),

But they saw that they were far too late,

When a monster's claw did a deadly twirl.

o-O-o

"Say hello to the stars," he said.

"Say hello the sun above."

But it's hard to do that when you're dead.

And so two died in the name of love.

o-O-o

Many have fallen, and it's unfair,

But Percy Jackson has fallen more than most.

He tried tried to cry, but it's hard to care

When you are but a ghost,

o-O-o

Annabeth Chase has fallen too

And so they are together again

I guess the saying must be true

"Oh how the mighty have fallen!"

Dear mom,

You once told me to look before I fall. I guess that it's too late for that. I'll see you in Elysium.

Sorry,

Percy

A/N I realize that this poem is twelve paragraphs long. Percy was twelve when he was introduced to mythology. I hope you like the symbolism.

Yes, I know that Percy and Annabeth didn't die in Tartarus, but think of this as a sort of AU in which they did.

This poem is not long, and it's not deep, but I hope it meant something to you.
