Author's Note:
Hey you! Thanks for all your support for this story. I know that I haven't updated this story in a while and I'm afraid this chapter will be the last one for a while. I'm going to take some time off from posting new chapters on FF. Don't worry. I won't stop writing as it means too much to me and I will start posting new chapters again someday. I just need some time to figure out what I'm going to do with this story and I want to finish writing the entire story. Once I've done that, I can start posting new chapters again.

Please understand. For now, this story is on an indefinite break.

Previously:

"Maybe we should knock on the door again. See what happens?" The young warrior grinned as he extended his hand to the black doorway on the ground.

"No! I forbid it. We must be patient." Shin tried as he stepped closer. "Please Gohan."

"I don't care what you say." Gohan snarled in response. The young warrior looked up. "Babidi! I'm coming for you, do you hear me? Don't think you can hide behind your games! You cannot cross a Saiyan without dying first!"

Vegeta rolled his eyes. "Please don't start using sayings from my old planet." He complained as he placed his hands on his hips. "It's not that I don't approve but it sounds strange coming from a puny little half-human."

"A puny little half-human that can kick your butt." Gohan responded easily as he turned to his mentor. "What do you think about all this? You've been awfully quiet. I cannot be the only one who hates this whole situation. We're being tossed around like we're stupid children."

"This is only not true for the three of us." Vegeta retorted easily as he indicated his head to Goku and Shin.

Gohan sent him a glare before he went to reply. However, something made his expression change. The half-saiyan suddenly grabbed his head and screamed as he fell down on his knees. Electricity sparked around him as he let out another scream, his body shaking and shivering violently.

"Gohan!" Goku stepped closer to his son. "What's happening to you?"

"It's Babidi!" Shin responded. "He's trying to take over Gohan's mind."

"But Gohan's too pure for that." Goku responded immediately. "He can only control people who have traces of evil in their hearts, right? Gohan has none of that."

"Are you sure about that, Goku?" Shin responded as he looked over to the full-blooded Saiyan. "Evil comes in many different forms. Wrath, envy, gluttony etc. There are many different manners in which someone can be evil or contain evil feelings or emotions without really knowing it. Nobody is really entirely pure."

"Except maybe Kakarot." Vegeta responded as he stepped closer.

A scream from Gohan caught their attention and Shin looked at Vegeta. "You've been with him the most lately. What has the boy been struggling with?" He asked. "Is there any type of evil that he has felt recently?"

Vegeta lowered his gaze for a moment as he thought about this question. "He misses his father." Vegeta stated without looking at Goku. That was probably lucky because otherwise he would have seen the shocked expression on Goku's face. "He doesn't understand why the people in heaven are more important than his own family."

"Envy." Shin growled. "The most dangerous of all. It turns the purest people into monsters and they don't realize it before it's too late."

"So what do we do?" Vegeta asked as he turned to Shin. Goku was looking at his son, who was now on the ground, groaning in pain.

"I don't know." Shin responded as he lowered his gaze to the ground. "I don't know how to stop these things."

The two warriors both realized Gohan stopped groaning now and they glanced sideways, their eyes widening simultaneously when they noticed what was going on.

Chapter 10. Saiyan Vs. Saiyan.

Goku was kneeling next to his son. The man had his arms thrown around Gohan. The half-saiyan was staring wide-eyed over the man's shoulder. His eyes were so glassy that Vegeta and Shin wondered whether he was actually still there or not.

"I'm sorry, Gohan. I'm so sorry." Goku whispered as he tightened his grip around the half-saiyan. Electricity was burning Goku's clothes, licking at his flesh, but the man refused to let go. "Please, Gohan. Let me make it up to you."

Gohan blinked and the wind suddenly died down. A silence fell over the room as Gohan shook his head, blinked, and looked around the room. "Father?"

"Please call me dad." Goku responded as he still hugged his son.

"Dad?" Gohan responded in a small voice. "What's…."

Goku pulled away enough to look at his son. "I'm sorry, Gohan. I never realized what my absence would do to you. Please believe me when I say that you, your mother and your little brother, my family, are the most important thing to me in the entire universe. I love you, Gohan, I do."

The half-saiyan's eyes were already tearing up but now his lip briefly trembled before he let out a quiet whimper. "Dad." He now pulled his father back into the hug. "I missed you so much, dad!"

"I missed you too, Gohan." Goku responded as he returned the hug.

Shin let out a relieved sigh before showing a smile. Vegeta scratched his head, not feeling entirely comfortable with this situation. The man frowned when he noticed that Gohan's power was still rising. The man stepped closer to the two warriors. "You might want to lower your power level, boy." He stated quietly.

Gohan met his eyes. "Now why would I want to do that?" He asked as his lips curled up into a smirk. Vegeta's expression change to a surprised one and Gohan couldn't help but laugh. "Oh, really?" Gohan released his father. Goku looked up at the younger warrior in surprise. "Did you think that a hug from my dear daddy would calm down the child in me and turn me back to a good person?" The young warrior laughed again - a laugh that didn't sound like him. The laugh was colder; so cold that it sent a chill down Vegeta's spine.

Goku got up and stepped back. "Gohan?"

"There's no going back now." Gohan stated before he powered up. A force unlike they ever felt before rushed through the room and pushed the other warriors off their feet. Gohan transformed to the first and afterwards to the second super Saiyan level. He leaned his head back and closed his eyes, relishing in the power he could feel rushing through his veins.

"Gohan! Stop!" Goku stated, sitting on the ground. The man was thrown off his feet and still found it difficult to stay upright in the face of this power.

Gohan looked at his father. "Why?" He asked casually.

"This isn't like you!"

"I know." Gohan grinned wickedly as he returned his father's gaze. "And it feels amazing."

Vegeta chuckled, earning Gohan's attention. "Trying to be evil, now are we?" He teased. Gohan's gaze darkened. "Well, it doesn't suit you, kiddo. You don't even know how to behave like an evil person."

The half-saiyan turned to Vegeta. "I don't?" He asked. "Let me show you just how evil I can be." He growled before he launched at Vegeta.

The Saiyan prince appeared to have expected this and he jumped up to avoid the first punch. The man tried to return the punch but Gohan dodged it easily. The two fell into a brief battle of punches and kicks, trying to hurt each other as much as possible while trying to stay out of harm's way themselves.

"Gohan!" Goku yelled as he ran closer to the fight. "Stop this!"

"It's too late." Shin exclaimed as he looked at the fight. "Babidi has taken Gohan's mind. He's given in to the evil in his heart."

"No!" Goku responded. "I don't believe it." He looked back to the fight. The man concentrated on the two warriors and narrowed his eyes. There. He rushed closer and punched Gohan's cheek.

The half-saiyan stumbled back, shocked by this sudden intrusion. The young warrior was momentarily surprised but he recovered quickly and sent Goku a smirk. "What's wrong, father? You look like you've seen a ghost."

"It's not too late, Gohan." Goku pleaded. Vegeta looked from Goku to the half-saiyan and let out a sigh. This was getting way too complicated. "Please. Don't give in. Come back to us."

"Come back?" Gohan repeated before he barked out a laugh. "You want me to go back to all the worrying I used to do? No." The half-saiyan shook his head. "No. I wanted this. I feel free now. Freer than I've ever felt before. My powers feel amazing. I'm able to power up fully without worrying or even caring about what it does to this planet. I don't care about what happens to you or anyone else. I only care about my power, my strength, and my battles." The young warrior locked gazes with Vegeta again. "My enemies."

Vegeta couldn't help but smirk. "You let it happen." He stated. "You let him take your mind."

"Maybe." Gohan grinned cheerfully.

"Why?" Goku asked tiredly. His own son…

Gohan looked back to Goku. "Curiosity, I guess. I wanted to know how the evil guys feel." The half-saiyan stretched his arms lazily. "Man, this feels good. So, have I got your full attention now, pops?"

Vegeta chuckled. "A bit of a savage cry for attention, isn't it, brat?"

The half-saiyan shrugged. "Whatever works." Gohan turned back to Goku and confidently pointed to his father. "So, what do you say, pops? Wanna fight it out? You win and I'll go back to being your little boy again."

Goku frowned in response to his son's comment. What was he supposed to do now? Accept his son's request? Goku took a breath. "And what happens if you win?"

The response Goku received in return was a broad grin from his son. "Well…"

"What's happening?" Kanara asked as she looked over at Ankiër. "I can see your expression. You're worried."

"I'm not worried." Ankiër stated as he made a calming gesture with his dark blue hand, literally waving her comment away. His yellow eyes focused on nothing in particular as he sensed for Gohan's presence. His dark tail waved behind him casually.

"Yes you are. I saw the expression on your face." Kanara pointed as she flew closer to him. "You know what's going on, don't you? Tell me? Is something wrong? Did Gohan get hurt?"

"No." Ankiër slowly shook his head. "Gohan is just fine. He actually feels quite good right now. I'm not sure what is going on but he feels stronger and more… like you… and Vegeta."

"What?" Kanara frowned thoughtfully. "What do you mean more like me?"

"Gohan is a good person, right?" Ankiër waited for Kanara to nod before he continued. "You can feel that when you sense for his presence, right?" Kanara nodded once more. "And Saiyans are generally not really a good race. Nobody from the saiyan race feels as if they are that good a person. Gohan now feels more like a normal saiyan."

"Is that a good thing or a bad thing?" Kanara still looked worried as she flew next to Ankiër. Videl also gave a worried look in their direction.

Ankiër didn't answer right away but thought the answer through a moment before he glanced in their direction. "I don't know."

"If I win, you will give up fighting. Forever." Gohan tilted his head sideways. "But can you do that, father? Can you make the choice between your son and your passion?"

Goku stared at his son. The young warrior gave an even gaze back. A look in his eyes Goku never expected to see in his son. "Fine." Goku stated in response. The man powered up. "Let's do this right now."

The scenery around them changed right as Goku said this. The world blurred only momentarily before they were standing outside in the wasteland again. Vegeta looked around, irritated by the way in which Babidi was messing with them.

Gohan grinned broadly. The young warrior clenched his fists as he powered up to his full potential. The young warrior motioned for his father to attack him. Goku didn't let Gohan do this twice as he shot towards the younger warrior. Gohan blocked the first few punches easily. The young warrior let out a chuckle. "Your heart's not in it, father." He stated before he kneed Goku in his stomach easily. The young warrior smacked Goku out of the air after this.

Goku used his energy to slow himself down and prevent being driven into the floor. The man looked up when a strong sensation approached him quick as lightening and he turned around just in time to catch a punch from his son. Gohan followed up with a few more punches in order to hit his father but Goku managed to block all of them.

The two fell into a routine they were both used to. Punches left and right, blocking everything they could and trying to ignore the pain from the punches they failed to stop. Energy whirled around them as they tried to hit each other on high speed. Gohan and Goku's knuckles met in mid-air and Gohan felt a shiver run through his arm. The young warrior growled as he jumped back to create some distance between him and his father.

Gohan was panting already and he hated it. His father was posing more of a challenge than he expected. The young warrior wiped some blood from under his lips. "Ready for round two, father?"

"I certainly am." Vegeta appeared next to Goku.

"Wait your turn, Vegeta." Gohan waved the man away.

Vegeta chuckled. "Kakarot. The Saiyan race has a tradition that allows children to get beaten up by their parents. It is quite common for fathers to correct their delinquent sons. It is also quite common for the fathers to ask any male relatives to help as a second so that the child is easier subdued. What do you say I act as your second today, Kakarot?" He glanced to Goku.

"My my, Vegeta. I never realized how sentimental you really are." Gohan taunted from opposite them.

Ignoring Gohan, Goku looked to Vegeta. "You want to make this two against one?"

"It's time we show our little kid some tough love." Vegeta stated in response. "I always thought you spoiled him too much. From the moment I met you two, I noticed you were too kind to him. That's not how you raise a Saiyan. And this is the result." Vegeta nodded to the half-saiyan.

"You definitely never spoiled me, did you, Vegeta." Gohan returned sweetly. "Beating up a five-year-old was definitely entertaining for you."

Vegeta met his gaze as a smirk appeared on his face. "No hard feelings, I presume?"

Gohan shrugged casually. "Not really. I don't care anymore."

"What do you say, Kakarot?" Vegeta glanced to the other Saiyan. "He acts the part of a delinquent. It's time we treated him like one."

Goku held Gohan's gaze. The half-saiyan seemed to enjoy the situation quite a lot as he made a pouting expression to his father. "You're not going to hurt me, daddy?" He stated this in a child-like voice that made the hairs on the back of Goku's neck rise.

"Alright. Have it your way, Vegeta." Goku stated. Vegeta grinned as he powered up too. "But… Let's not take it too far." Goku stated worriedly.

"I won't kill him." Vegeta returned easily.

Gohan laughed in response. "As if you could." He taunted. "Well then, my esteemed fellow Saiyans. Why don't we get this party started?"

Vegeta was the first one to launch an attack. The man was floating in front of Gohan within a second and he pulled back a fist. Gohan managed to block the first few punches. His senses warned him and he jumped back just in time to avoid an attack from Goku. The half-saiyan's cocky smile disappeared as he had to focus on his two opponents. The young warrior blocked a punch from Vegeta right as he leaned back to avoid a kick from Goku. Gohan sent a blast to push Vegeta away.

While his mentor was preoccupied with the energy wave, Gohan turned to Goku and tried to kick the man. Goku blocked the kick by moving up his leg. He used his energy to push the half-saiyan away and Gohan stumbled right into Vegeta's punch. Gohan was thrown sideways and he noticed Goku was following him. The young warrior allowed his body to drop down to avoid Goku's punch. The half-saiyan jumped sideways to avoid Vegeta's kick.

A tinge of doubt creeped up in his mind but Gohan shook his head to get rid of it. The young warrior stood straight just in time to lock into a frenzied battle with the two Saiyans. Block, block, punch, kick, block, kick, block. Gohan let his senses take over as he automatically fell into the mechanics he was so used to using.

The half-saiyan managed to push through Goku's defenses and he punched Goku's cheek. The man fell back while Vegeta attacked Gohan again. The half-saiyan flew back to let Vegeta come to him. This was much easier while focusing on just one Saiyan. The young warrior blocked one punch and caught the second one. Gohan held Vegeta by his fist and pulled the man closer. Gohan was about to punch the Saiyan prince when a flash in Vegeta's eyes distracted him. This was too easy.

He realized this a second too late. Two arms locked around his torso from behind, locking his arms down to his side. Gohan gasped as Goku applied just enough pressure to keep him still but the man didn't hurt him. Vegeta laughed in response to this. "You weren't paying enough attention, were you, kiddo?" He taunted as he reached out to grab Gohan's chin. "Aww, juvenile mistakes, aren't they?" The half-saiyan tried to bite Vegeta's hand but the Saiyan prince released him just in time.

"Don't be like that, Vegeta." Goku complained as he felt Gohan struggle in his grip. "It's not the time."

"Oh, but this is exactly the time." Vegeta was enjoying this way too much. "It is such an amazing sight to see. The famous half-saiyan is finally subdued." The man met Gohan's burning gaze. He could see that he was angering the half-saiyan and that was exactly what he wanted. The boy was led by his emotions so any type of emotion he could pull out of the younger warrior was one step away from Majin's control. And… Well… A little bit of half-saiyan bashing never hurt anyone.

"Supreme Kai. How do we change Gohan back?" Goku yelled to the Supreme Kai.

Shin was watching everything with wide eyes. The man now looked up at Goku. "I don't know. We can't undo this." He stated.

"You are the master of the entire universe!" Goku yelled at him. "Surely there must be something you can do!"

"Gohan?" Kanara stated as she stared at the scene. "What is going on?"

"Stay back, Kanara." Goku called as he looked up at the newcomers.

"Interesting." Ankiër crossed his arms over each other. "So he let himself be turned evil to get rid of the worries that normally plague his mind."

"This is not a good thing, Ankiër." Kanara stated, frowning at him.

"You want to have it gone?" Ankiër asked, glancing sideways.

Kanara widened her eyes. "You can do that?" She asked, surprised.

"I can do anything." Ankiër said cheerfully. The man shrugged before he flew down to the scene.

"Okay. I'm done with this." Gohan stated before he powered up. Goku widened his eyes for a moment as he tightened his grip on his son. The young warrior screamed as he pushed his energy outwards. Goku was thrown back and he landed in a mountain near them. Vegeta received a similar treatment – plummeting into a large rock on the ground.

Ankiër now appeared in front of the half-saiyan. "Alright, kiddo. Let's get you back to normal." He stated cheerfully.

Gohan shook his head. "I don't want to go back to normal." He responded stubbornly.

"Sorry, I don't take orders from you. My orders come from someone much more powerful and dangerous than you." Ankiër responded as he waved Gohan's answer away. Kanara rolled her eyes in response. How could this man even joke at times like this? "Now, come here and let me help you."

The half-saiyan laughed. "Oh right. And I'm just going to come to you like a good boy, huh? Fuck you." He spat out.

"Now that's naughty." A voice whispered right behind him. Gohan turned sideways and floated back so he could keep an eye on both Vegeta and Ankiër. "So," Vegeta looked over to Ankiër. "You think you can turn him back to normal?"

"Yep. You hold him. I'll wipe that M off his forehead." Ankiër responded as he nodded.

"That shouldn't be too difficult." Vegeta looked over at the half-saiyan. "What do you say, Kakarot?"

Goku appeared in the air as well and Gohan turned again so he could keep them all in his direct sight. "I'm in." Goku stated as he nodded.

"So it's three against one now. That's not really fair, is it?" Gohan spat at them, his fists clenching.

"Worried, are we?" Vegeta gave the half-saiyan an innocent smile.

The half-saiyan swallowed a heavy sensation in his throat down. "Am I worried because of a few weaklings? Don't make me laugh." He mocked.

"Don't worry. I'll rather make you scream." Vegeta attacked the half-saiyan head on. Gohan dodged the first punch from Vegeta. He dodged another punch from Goku and blocked a punch from Ankiër. However, Vegeta's free hand grabbed onto Gohan's arm and he pulled the half-saiyan closer. Off balance, Gohan was open to any attacks from the others and both Goku and Ankiër made a move. The young warrior received two kicks before he managed to push Vegeta off of him.

Vegeta moved back to create some distance and he watched for a moment as Gohan fought both Goku and Ankiër. The half-saiyan was way too good at this. Why did they train him so well? The man let out a growl as he studied the match. What to do? This was taking way too long and they were all taking a beating. At this high level, the damage going to Majin Buu must be amazing.

Vegeta's eyes ran down Gohan's body to figure out what to do and he suddenly realized the answer to his question. Right! Vegeta flew closer to the battle. He knew exactly what to do. Gohan noticed his return and he had to pick up the speed to also block Vegeta's attacks. The young warrior could feel new bruises starting to form on his arms and legs because of all the incoming attacks he blocked and deflected.

Gohan blocked a punch from Ankiër. He pushed Ankiër back and moved up his hand to block an attack from Goku. The young warrior managed to kick his father back. A shiver ran down his spine a moment before Vegeta's hands locked around his tail. Gohan gave a gasp as his body lost all its energy and went limb.

"Ankiër." Vegeta called as he squeezed Gohan's tail. "Do what you have to do."

Ankiër was surprised for a moment. Goku's mouth fell open. Why didn't he think of that? Gohan's surprise was only for a moment before he managed to take control of his power again.

"Hurry!" Vegeta was already afraid of this. Grabbing Gohan's tail may immobilize the half-saiyan temporarily but the half-saiyan was too strong to stay subdued too long. He had too much power to be weakened by his tail.

"Right." Ankiër moved closer to the half-saiyan. He pushed Gohan's weakened punch away and placed a hand on Gohan's forehead. The man closed his eyes for a moment as he focused his energy.

Vegeta watched with amazement as a white light emerged from Ankiër's hand. The light seemed to shine from Gohan's wide eyes and the half-saiyan let out a groan. "No…" The half-saiyan whispered. Ankiër opened his eyes and pulled back. Vegeta decided to let Gohan go.

The half-saiyan placed his hands in front of his face as he felt his emotions coming back to him. The young warrior lowered his hands and was confronted by the sight of the three warriors. Goku was floating in front of Vegeta and Ankiër. A weariness took hold of Gohan as he met the three stern gazes. He may be the strongest warrior in the universe but he was also still a teenager. A teenager who had been bad and was now receiving a stern glance from not only his father but also from his mentor.

"Well…" Goku crossed his arms over each other. "What do you have to say for yourself?"

Vegeta couldn't help but snicker in response to Gohan's expression. The half-saiyan looked awfully ashamed of his actions. "I think apologies are in order." He added cheerfully. He definitely didn't mind kicking Gohan while he was down.

Gohan assumed a frown as he crossed his arms over each other. "I'm not going to apologize." He complained. "You handled this completely wrong."

"Did we now?" Vegeta answered. "Cause I seem to remember that you turned on us. It was such an unsuccessful attempt to play evil. Honestly, I should give you some extra lessons on this, kiddo."

Embarrassment lingered in Gohan's stomach. The young warrior could feel his cheeks heat up as he realized how stupid he must have seemed to the others.

Vegeta noted Gohan's red cheeks and he laughed loudly. "Blushing already, huh? Well, our little Gohan is definitely back to normal." He teased mercilessly.

Gohan pressed his lips together as he lowered his gaze. Man, Vegeta was a jerk. A hand landed on his shoulder and gave it a brief squeeze. Gohan looked up to meet Ankiër's gaze. "Let me tell you, those two fell for you just as you are." He stated as he nodded to the girls who were approaching them. "That's special, kiddo. Trust me. I've seen everything."

Gohan let the words sink in and a smile appeared on his face. "Thanks." He muttered in response. Ankiër shrugged as he floated back to make room for the storm that attacked Gohan a second later. Kanara's arms wrapped around Gohan's neck.

"Gohan. I was so worried. How could you let yourself be taken over like that?" She ranted as she hugged him so tightly that Gohan made a face at the pressure around his shoulders. "I mean, don't get me wrong. I love the bad boy act but I'd rather you keep that for our more intimate moments."

The half-saiyan couldn't help but smile as he returned her hug. "I'm sorry." He responded. "I won't do it again."

"You'd better not." Kanara stated in response. She smiled at him now.

"So, what are we going to do now?" Goku asked as he looked around the group.

Gohan and Kanara kept their hands entangled as they turned to look at Goku. Gohan made a face. "I still stand by what I said while under Babidi's spell." He stated. "We should just blast in the door and risk awakening Buu while he's not fully charged rather than waiting until he reaches his full potential."

"I agree." Vegeta looked to the doorway on the ground. "I'm done waiting." He extended a hand and charged a blast.

"No!" Supreme Kai ran closer and waved his arms as he tried to get Vegeta's attention. The Saiyan prince did meet his eyes but the blast in his hand didn't diminish at all.

"What now?"

"You can't blast the door. You'll awaken Babidi." Kai chastised.

"I don't care." Vegeta responded easily. Just as he was about to send the blast, the doorway opened. Gohan raised both his eyebrows as he looked over at the darkness under the doors.

Out rose Daburah. The tall warrior's scowl easily pinpointed his mood as he surveyed the large group of warriors around him. Gohan smiled as he studied the warrior.

"Finally!" Gohan stated. "Just the person I wanted to see."

"Gohan, it's sad to see you're not obeying master Babidi's words." Daburah stated as he turned his sights on the half-saiyan. "Seeing as you're still so clearly under his spell." He continued casually. The warriors around Gohan gave the half-saiyan shocked glances but the half-saiyan didn't seem surprised by the comment at all.

"And he's hiding it so well, isn't he?" Ankiër added cheerfully.

"What?" Kanara responded as she turned to Ankiër. "I thought you took him from Babidi's spell!"

"Nah, I just took the M from his forehead." Ankiër responded casually. "Gohan's strong enough to fend the curse off all on his own."

"And I am strong enough to kill Daburah as well." Gohan powered up fully and clenched his fists. The young warrior launched at Daburah. However, right before he could reach the hostile warrior, his body suddenly raced down. He let out a shocked gasp before his body met the harsh stone floor.

Daburah laughed at the half-saiyan on the ground. "Ah, Babidi has more power over your body than you think, huh?" He teased. Gohan's expression was one of terror as he tried to move his limbs. He couldn't. They appeared to be made of stone and no matter how hard he tried to lift them, they wouldn't move. "Good night, little Saiyan." Daburah stated before he spit at the young warrior.

The entire group seemed to freeze as they watched the spittle race towards the young warrior. They were even more shocked when one of them moved to jump in front of the half-saiyan. Ankiër reached out to catch the saliva right before it could reach Gohan's face.

"NO!" Gohan yelled just before Ankiër's hand turned to stone. The man stood up straight as he surveyed his hand.

"Ah…" Ankiër said while the curse slowly but surely took over his body, turning him to stone. "That is very interesting." He managed to say right before he turned to stone entirely.

"Ankiër! No." Gohan could feel the anger boil within in. He could feel the familiar anger burst through his body. It was so powerful he could hardly contain it but he knew exactly what to do. He knew exactly how to channel it. He sent it straight at the little spot of darkness in his mind. The little M that was still present there. He destroyed it easily.

Meanwhile, the young warrior also channeled his powered to attack the person responsible for his recent pain and suffering. Gohan clenched his fists and pulled back his arm to punch Daburah.

The king of Demons was so surprised by Gohan's move that he could hardly defend himself. Before he could realize it, Gohan's hand pushed straight through his chest. His ribs broke on impact and Gohan's fist reached inside his chest easily. The half-saiyan couldn't help but smile in a macabre manner as his hand tightened around an organ in the man's chest. Daburah let out a pained scream. "Ah?" Gohan stated. "Hmmm, I guess even the king of demons has a heart." He said. The smile disappeared. "Not for long."

The young warrior pulled the man's heart from his chest in one fast motion and he watched with interest as the king of demons slowly sank through his knees. The body fell down to the ground, bleeding out slowly.

The half-saiyan suddenly realized what he was holding and he quickly dropped it. He looked at his bloodied hand and he made a face before trying to wipe it off on his uniform. The half-saiyan looked over at Ankiër, his face saddening as he surveyed his friend. But then a crack was seen in the stone warrior. The crack slowly but surely grew and grew until… BANG. The pieces of stone were sent in every direction, narrowly missing every person in the area, and a shiny new Ankiër appeared.

The man spread out his arms as he grinned at the half-saiyan. "What do you think?" He asked while the shininess of his appearance became even brighter. "I've always wanted a stone-mask. They say it makes even your insides shine."

Gohan's mouth fell open. "What?"

Ankiër's grin broadened. "Do you really think a little curse is going to get me down? Nah, I just shed my skin before the curse could reach my organs. It only turned an outer layer of my skin to stone."

Gohan crossed his arms over each other as he tilted his head sideways. "You are really invincible, aren't you? Remind me to never get on your bad side."

"It's good that you realize how important it is to keep me satisfied. Maybe from now on, you'll say yes when I want to train with you." Ankiër responded cheerfully. "Behave like a good little brother ought to behave." The man placed his hand on Gohan's head and roughly tousled his hair.

The half-saiyan blew out a sigh. "But we're not…." He noticed the raised eyebrow from Ankiër and he stopped talking. "Never mind." He scoffed when Ankiër petted his head as if he was a dog.

Goku was watching the scene from a distance. The man glanced to his frenemy. "What happened to my son, Vegeta?"

The saiyan prince returned his gaze evenly. "He grew up. Children who lose one or both of their parents at a young age have to grow up fast. Gohan has been acting like an adult since he was five." The man shrugged. "As for the jealousy in his heart, I figure he still hasn't come to terms with your absence. He spoke to me about it a couple of times and I guess he…"

"He spoke to you about it?" Goku asked.

Vegeta was silent for a moment. "You left him, Kakarot. So he was drawn to the one male person who was most like him." He shrugged. "And I was happy to step in. Honestly, look at him." Vegeta nodded to the half-saiyan. Gohan was just lifting Goten up in the air. The half-saiyan laughed while Goten stretched out his arms and legs to pretend he was an airplane. "He's perfect, Kakarot. He works hard and is always eager to learn. He's stronger than me but he's loyal too. Any regular Saiyan son would have killed his old man a long time ago. That's why most fathers keep their sons weaker than themselves. This is not needed with Gohan. His soft upbringing made him to be loyal to any mentor he knows. It's pathetic but it works to my advantage." Vegeta's smug gaze moved back to Kakarot. "You raised a perfect little soldier and then you just handed him over to me. Granted, he was a little rough around the edges but I think I sharpened them well enough."

"You're wrong, Vegeta." Goku responded.

"Am I?" Vegeta's grin broadened. "Just ask him what he'll be doing in just a couple of months. We're travelling to the Saiyan planet. And once we're there, I'll make sure Gohan will be taught how to be a proper Saiyan. You lost him, Kakarot, and you have nobody to blame but yourself."

Vegeta's grin disappeared when Goku punched him in the face. The warriors all stopped talking and turned to look at the two Saiyans. Gohan frowned while he turned to see what was going on.

Vegeta scoffed as he wiped a trickle of blood from his chin. "That was a mistake, Kakarot."

"Take it back!" Goku snarled, his power crackling around him as he gathered energy. "Take it all back, now!"

Vegeta laughed in response. "Now why would I want to do that? It's the truth, isn't it?" He smirked as he motioned for Goku to attack him once more. "Come and get it, Kakarot."

Goku surprised everyone around him as he transformed to the second super saiyan level easily. The man could feel his anger fuel his power and he jumped up to attack Vegeta.
