This is my first FanFic I hope people like it. The Sly Cooper series was a huge part of my childhood and it still is by far one of my favorite game series of all times and I've replayed all the entire series countless times. Not to mention I'm replaying it again for my YouTube Channel :) Anyways I love Sly Cooper and I also love RWBY. It's just such an amazing creation and it's ultimately what got me into anime.

So I figured I'd write a FanFic that is a crossover of both, because why not? :P

For those of you who don't know, Monty Oum, the creator of RWBY passed away in early 2015, may he rest in peace. It was quite a shock when I heard about it myself, but I know one thing. That he loved what he did, and that was RWBY.

So without further ado, here's chapter 1 of my first FanFic ever. I hope you enjoy! :)

Quick Notes on the writing:
"Speaking"
Thinking
Narration

It was a cold night, snow falling lightly onto the city of Paris. The snow staying on the rooftops like a thin white blanket. A night like this would've been perfect for a walk. Unless your last name is Cooper.

Sly was running from rooftop to rooftop, trying to avoid using his ninja spire jump for the poles were slick from the snow. Sly continued to run, hoping his follower would lose sight of him. As he jumped across two rooftops he used his cane to hook onto a hanging street light and swing himself around and hide behind a chimney. He stayed there, completely still, his breath making small clouds as he exhaled slowly. Five or so minutes pass by, Sly creeps around the chimney, observes the sky and the other rooftops, watching.

"There's no way I lost him already... Unless the snow made it hard to see..." Sly was cut off as a large shadow just passed over him. "Shit!" He mutters quietly. He starts running in the direction that he came from. He ran as fast as he could without slipping, he had made it three rooftops across before he started hearing the familiar flapping sound. The sharp metallic noise they made when they flapped, bringing the hunter closer to its prey. It's only when the flapping had stopped that Sly knew it was too late to outrun it. He dove stomach first onto the rooftop just in time to feel the cold hard claws graze his back, and rip his backpack right off his shoulders. Getting up with his family cane in hand, he readied himself for the winged demon to attack again. But it kept on flying, flapping its wings into the snowy sky.

Sly pulled out his Binocucoms to see which direction it was flying. "North-East" he said. Sly pressed a button the side of the specs to call his partner Bentley. The Turtle responded in seconds, "So?! Did you lose him?" Bentley asked worriedly.

"No and... he has my bag," Sly responded, "and the device..."

"This is an unfortunate turn of events. But I'm glad you're alright Sly, you're pretty lucky to be alive. Come on back to the hideout, we'll track him down and figure out a plan," the Turtle said, trying to sound optimistic.

"I just hope the next people that find him won't need luck to survive..." The Raccoon closed his Binocucoms and headed off towards his hideout, where his 2 friends Bentley and Murray waited eagerly for his arrival.

In Team RWBY's dorm, it was dark, silent, a sinister evil was in the room. The shadow lurked around the beds to look at the sleeping team. The shadow began to move towards the window between the beds and reached for the curtains.

A sudden bright light infiltrated the room and a loud noise was heard. "Good morning Team RWBY!" Ruby shouted as she removed a whistle from her mouth.

"But I don't wanna... the bed is too comfy," Yang mumbled into her pillow.

"Darn it Ruby! How many times have I told you not to use that whistle!" Weiss furiously shouted.

"And like that I'm awake!" She jumps out from her bunk, making Blake jump a bit before she goes back to reading her book. "I got dibs on first shower!" Yang says as she grabs her clothes and goes into the bathroom.

"Always eager as usual. Humph, she better leave me some hot water." The heiress went over to her desk and started organizing her class materials. Ruby looks over to Blake who's currently reading a book.

"Hey Blake," Ruby says with a bright smile "Watcha reading?"

"A book," Blake responds without taking her eyes off the pages.

"What's it about?"

Blake puts the book down onto her lap, keeping her hand on the open book so not to lose her page. "It's about a businessman who becomes jealous of a rival family's business. Then he goes after the family members one by one, eventually leaving the youngest alone and taking the family's secrets to try and shame the young boy as he inherits the business of his parents. Turns out that in the future the little boy's business thrived even more than that of his parents, and the jealous man was apprehended for his crimes."

"That sounds pretty cool," Ruby smiled.

Blake chuckled lightly at Ruby's response, "I guess you could say that." Blake then picked up her book and continued reading. Weiss had just finished organizing her school material when she saw the clock and frowned. She walked over to the bathroom door and gave it a few knocks.

"Yang, would you hurry up we all need to take showers as well!" she half yelled.

The door opened suddenly to reveal Yang wearing nothing but a towel. "Something wrong Ice Queen?"

Weiss blushed lightly and turned her gaze away, "Just hurry up, we all need to freshen up as well."

"All right all right, I'm almost done". Yang went back into the bathroom and finished up. Afterwards the rest of Team RWBY prepped their books and headed out into the hall towards their first class. They arrived in the lecture hall with a few minutes to spare before Dr Oobleck's speedy lectures on the history of Remnant started. Weiss took out her notebook and some colour-coded pens. Ruby saw by the smirk on Yang's face that she was going to tell Weiss a pun, that is until what felt like a fighter jet blew right past her on the steps. She looked to the front of the lecture hall to see Dr Oobleck take a large slurp from his thermos.

"Alright class I hope you all had an excellent sleep because today we will be going over the history of Remnant itself. We will start in your textbook at page 17." He took another big slurp from his thermos "Now then, it all began sometime far back around the times of..."

Ruby nudged Yang, "Why does he always have to talk so fast?"

"Well you know what they say, Coffee has bean the grounds of many a heated and strong discussion" she winks and points her finger gun like style looking for her teammates to respond to the pun.

Blake chuckled, rolled her eyes then smiled. Ruby looked at Yang with a "really?" type of face.

Weiss had stopped writing and face palmed. "I swear your jokes just get worse and worse," she whined.

Yang shrugged and raised her hands. "A good pun is like a good steak; a rare medium well done."

Ruby bonked her head down on the desk and Blake giggled a little as she saw the annoyance on the heiress' face.

"Can we please focus on class?" she said exasperatedly.

Team RWBY turned to face Dr Oobleck to listen to the lecture. "Once Humankind alongside Faunus, clashed with the creatures of Grimm, all had seemed lost. For the dark beasts were seemingly invincible and unstoppable. But we had something they did not! And that is Dust! With Dust we were able to repel the beasts, advance society, create what we have built now, and discover our true powers that is Aura and Semblances. That is what made and makes us superior to the creatures of Grimm. But despite our advantages and our advancements we cannot underestimate the creatures of Grimm, for they can be extremely dangerous as I'm sure Professor Port has told you in his lectures. Moving on; after this time of advances..."

The lecture went on for another hour or so, which seemed like an eternity to team RWBY. At the lecture's long awaited end, Ruby outstretched her arms and yawned. "Alright Team RWBY onto lunch!" Ruby smiled brightly and put her fist in the air.

"I'm starving!" Yang exclaimed, "I wonder what they have at the dining hall today" Yang looked to Blake "Hey Blake, maybe they have that seared fish again," Yang winked at Blake. Blake just simply rolled her eyes and smiled.

"I'll only have it if you don't make any fish puns while I'm eating it," Blake said.

"I'm alright with that, besides, coming up with a new fish pun every day is a right pain in the bass!" The rest of Team RWBY groaned in unison.

Shortly after, Team RWBY was sitting down at their usual table each with a plate of food. Weiss had gone with a salad, as was her usual if the food was not to her taste. Blake, as Yang predicted, had gotten the seared salmon, Yang got herself a burger and some fries. Ruby's plate had some spaghetti on it with a couple chocolate chip cookies on the side of the plate. Weiss looked over to Ruby's plate and gave her a look of disbelief. "How can you eat like that and not gain a pound?" she said.

"I don't know," Ruby put a cookie into her mouth and started chewing, "I'm just lucky I guess? I've just never gained weight."

"Little sis has always been like that, even when she was a kid." Yang rubbed Ruby's hair.

"Yang! Stop that!" The rest of the team laughed.

After lunch Team RWBY headed out to Professor Port's "Grimm Studies" class. They took their usual seats in the lecture hall and waited for Professor Port to start the lecture. As was expected of Professor Port, not even 5 minutes into the lecture, the Professor began rambling on about his youth years and the different battles he waged against the creatures of Grimm. Weiss had been tapping her pen furiously on her notebook waiting for the Professor to get back to the class material. Yang hid behind the textbook to take a nap. Blake was reading her own book.

Ruby leaned her head on her hand as she looked out the window. The weather in Vale had been pretty nice in the past weeks, some good sunshine, a couple clouds and when it rained it didn't pour. Ruby's mind wandered off thinking about her future, becoming a huntress, saving and protecting people from Grimm, becoming just like the heroes in all those adventure books that Yang had read her when she was little. Thoughts about what kind of missions she'd do and the places she'd see filled her mind.

Her flowing river of thoughts had stopped when movement brought her attention to the window. As she looked outside she saw the bright sunlight on the walls and ground, the clear sky in the background, and... snow.

Her head straightened and lifted off her hand as she looked out the window in disbelief. It wasn't supposed to snow at all around this time of year, and the sky outside was clear.

What's going on? Ruby thought, Must be a student trying to prank someone, I bet they wouldn't expect someone to sneak up on them. She smiled mischievously. She then leaned over to Blake who was still reading. "Hey Blake, I'm going out for a bit I'll be right back"

"Be safe," Blake said whilst reading her book. Ruby snuck out of the classroom quietly, making sure Professor Port was indulged into one of his monologues about his heroic actions in his youth fighting off Grimm. Once outside, Ruby started making her way to the rooftop where the prankster, or pranksters, were. Eventually she got on the rooftop and looked around, moving quietly so not to blow her cover. She made her way over to the area above the window, but to her surprise no one was there.

Ruby walked up near the ledge and looked around. The sky was still partially cloudy as far as the eye can see, no bags or bins for carrying a large amount of snow was around. It couldn't have been real snow, it's almost summer. But if it was a prank how did they make it look so real-like? Ruby noticed the ground beneath her was a little wet. If it had been a lot of snow there would've been at least a puddle left... what is going on?

Ruby never had time to react, it had been too late as she felt and saw the large bird like claw wrap around her torso and shoulders, and lifted her off the ground.

I hope you enjoyed that first chapter, I'm really happy with how this turned out. I apologize in advance if some of the characters don't act exactly as they should, I'm trying my best to get better at that. I'll be starting a summer class next week so my chapter updates might take a little longer than usual but I'm aiming to do 1 chapter every 1-2 weeks, it will vary with homework and assignments and such.

Please leave a review, any advice/comments/suggestions helps a lot and is greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading and I'll talk to you in Chapter 2 :)
