Chapter One

Tom Paris was just on his way to the mess-hall when he passed the Captain and Chakotay walking together down the hall.

Tom smiled as he thought to himself, "Man they look good together. I just wish he would get the guts together to ask her out on a date."

Then B'elanna walked up and said, "Why do I have the feeling that you're thinking what I'm thinking."

Tom smiled and said, "Because you probably are. Let's face it; everybody on the ship is probably thinking the same thing! (We are thinking the same thing, right?)"

B'elanna smiled, and said, "That the captain and Chakotay better get married, or everyone on the ship is going to lose their minds?

Tom sighed and said, "Right every time."

"Well, they do have a point. I mean, it's not like everybody can't see how Chakotay just stares at her on the bridge!"

Tom smiled and said, "Well, there's a holiday coming up that I think will be perfect for the apparent, hmm, predicament we are faced with. It's called 'Valentines' Day'"

Then, from around the corner, Seven of Nine suddenly walked up and said, "Yes, that would be an appropriate time to… chance them together."
