It had been three days.

Three days since Sasuke had woken up from his near-death experience and Naruko was hurt. She was deeply, painfully hurt. Sasuke mentally growled at himself knowing that Naruko had been damaged beyond anything he had ever seen. And what answers did the Uchiha have? None. He didn't know how Naruko ended up that way. He didn't know how he ended up in the Land of Waves, and he didn't know if Naruko could recover.

Black obsidian eyes stared down at the wooden floorboards, lost in thought as his own mind turned toxic. He remembered what Madara taught him. How all the power of an Uchiha came from their anger. The fists that clenched tightly at the young man's side confirmed for Sasuke that he was indeed pissed. An aura of dark energy seemed to bleed out of the young man. Sasuke stood up abruptly, glancing at Naruko wrapped in bloody bandages before swiftly leaving the room. He hurried past Tazuna's family sitting in the living room, ignoring their looks of concern and worry.

The Uchiha teen marched outside of the cabin home, stomping past the concerned family in the living room and deep into the forest nearby, rage burning in his heart. He couldn't sit still in that silent room anymore. He couldn't just sit there, watching over her as he considered what her future would entail. His chest tightened as a mental image of Naruko flashed into his mind once more. As if his soul was screaming at him to return to her side. He couldn't, not right now. His feet dug into the earth and he let loose a violent blast of chakra that bubbled within him, accompanied by a roar of rage. The grass in the forest shuffled from his power. Sasuke glared at a particular tree in front of him. He released a throaty growl as he approached the tree.

His fist smashed into the bark. The wood splintered and cracked, shrapnel blasted out in all directions and Sasuke's sharingan eyes could see each and every piece. He swung his other arm, cracking the tree with the blow and splitting it in two.

"Damnit!" Sasuke cursed, feeling a small stream of blood leak from his knuckles.

His fingers began twisting, forming memorized hand signs, and before Sasuke even realized it, he felt his chakra built in his throat. He released it immediately and a ball of blazing fire grew from his lips and blasted into the air. The ball of fire soared above the tree line before exploding in streams of fire.

Sasuke could practically hear Madara's deep voice in his head, training him, molding his anger.

"Keep going Sasuke. Burn it all. Make sure there's nothing left."

Sasuke blasted another fire ball, and another. Spinning his body around until fire spread around him in every direction. The trees lit up in a blaze as Sasuke hunched over, his breath heavy. His forehead felt slick with sweat. The heat around him was just powerful enough to make him uncomfortable as his skin began to feel hot.

Beneath him, a single budding lilac flower seemed to sway lightly, not at all aware of the destruction the Uchiha had caused. Sharingan eyes glared at the purple flower, curious as to how it could have possibly escaped the young man's rage. It's color and shape seemed to sway without care. In that moment, Sasuke's eyes shifted, his normal sharingan pattern being replaced by something much more complex.

In the end of his rage, Sasuke could only feel a strange sense of satisfaction as he walked away from the recently created clearing in the forest, knowing that the single lilac that seemed unbothered by his fire, was now burning endlessly in a puddle of black flames.

Drifting back into consciousness was always a weird experience for Naruko. She remembered the feeling of her body and mind separating as she traveled to the deepest depths of her psyche, where the Kyuubi was contained.

As she left that dark place, she felt her mind pull back into her physical form. Like two magnets that were perpetually attracted to one another, her mind and body pulled together through what felt like a gentle ocean. She imagined herself floating closer and closer to her own body on the ocean's surface. Like two separate versions of herself, trying to meld back together. Gentle waves rocked her form up and down in a relaxing manor…this process usually was.

Naruko grew closer to the other half of her existence, but as she neared, the ocean's surface shifted. Howling winds whistled harshly through the air. The sky turned dark and wicked. The once gentle waves began to grow in size. Naruko could feel her mind begin to move closer and closer to her body but the torrent raged on. Like lightning, flashes of agonizing pain sparked in Naruko's mind and she gasped.

In the wind she could faintly hear sounds from memories being played back for her.

'Tazuna! Keep her still as gently as you can!'

Naruko yelped in pain as her two forms sharply connected, like layers on top of each other. Her blue eyes frantically assessing her own naked body, trying to find the source of pain. It was everywhere. Fire flooded across her form, burning with an unbearable heat that couldn't be put out. Meanwhile more memories continued to jolt through her mind and Naruko clenched her teeth to stop herself from screaming.

She told herself it's just memories, just events that had already passed, but the melding of her mind and body demanded her to experience what she had been unaware of. A familiar voice echoed in her ears.

'Just a little more Naru. It's almost over.'

Naruko closed her eyes, repeating those words in her head. Sasuke…A trickling stream of a faded memory crossed her mind as she pictured the young man unconscious in her arms. Was he okay? Did he survive? It seemed so.

"Sasuke…Help me." Naruko whimpered as the nerves throughout her body fired in alarm and pain, but her voice only seemed to echo within her own mind, unable to break out into reality.

She wanted it all to stop. The young girl trying to block out the worst of her experiences, but they continued to spread over her body like a dark, thick slime, engulfing her entirely. It was suffocating. With each passing moment of pain, Naruko felt a piece of her being cut, shredded, and separated from her body.

Naruko gasped, arching her body in the imagined water involuntarily. She clenched her teeth together, clamping her jaw as tightly as she could.

'Make it stop.' She pleaded to anyone that could possibly be listening.

Suddenly Naruko felt what could only be described as a soothing coldness that attached itself to her body in patches, quenching the fire that burned on her skin. The process was slow, but the heat of her greatest pains seemed to slowly extinguish.

Time continued on and soon she was able to finally breathe, her muscles calming as her sharp pains began to dull into mere throbs of discomfort. She shakily exhaled, careful not to move her body out of fear that the pain would return. The young girl had reconnected with her body. Mental and physical forms together again.

The only thing left to do was open her eyes in the real world.

As Sasuke shuffled his sandals across the dirt path towards Tazuna's home, his black hair slid over his eyes as he cast his head downwards. His attitude finally calmed but his thoughts lingered on the questions that swirled in his head. Like tiny luminous bulbs of light in complete darkness, these questions captured his attention. Questions like, "Was He and Naruko safe?" and "What would they do once Naruko recovered?…if she recovered."

Sasuke sighed, frustrated at his current predicament. The doctor had mentioned an incredible likeliness of scarring. Even if Naruko did survive, would she ever be the same? Sasuke closed his eyes tightly, bringing a memory of Naruko's beauty to the forefront of his mind. Would she ever look the same? Would he ever be able to trail his fingers over perfectly smooth, tanned skin? Would his lips ever brush against the extraordinary softness of Naruko's own.

Sasuke imagined Naruko's reaction to her own body the moment she would awake. He could practically feel the utter pit of despair she would be mercilessly tossed into the moment she realized the body she had was not her own, at least, not what it once was.

Sasuke paused in his steps, cursing his own mind for bringing him down this path of pure and empty hopelessness. He had to stay strong. He had to put his faith into Naruko, if not for himself, at least for Naruko's sake. No matter the outcome, he'd be by her side. He wouldn't abandon her.

"Sasuke!" a young voice called out.

The Uchiha looked up from the path below, quickly identifying Inari waving his hand in the air excitedly. The young boy's face beaming with happiness and excitement. Sasuke could practically feel Inari's thriving feelings of joy from a distance away.

"Sasuke!" Inari called again. "She's awake! It's a miracle, you gotta see it!"

Sasuke's charcoal eyes widened, his sandals launching themselves towards the small cabin home. His form blasted past a shocked and stumbling Inari. Sasuke arrived at the home moments later, throwing the door open with a strength that nearly launched the wood off its hinges.

"I need to se-." Sasuke's voice caught as his eyes landed on an impossible sight.

Naruko, dressed in a white t-shirt and a pair of tan pants sat on the rug, legs crossed, talking happily with Tazuna and Tsunami in the living room. Her tanned skin unblemished and perfectly smooth as it once was before. Sasuke blinked, sharingan eyes replaced his originals as he demanded the genjutsu in front of him disappear, but there was no genjutsu. Naruko's blue eyes caught his own as she turned her head towards his sudden entrance into the home.

"That's not-." Sasuke's words caught in his throat.

It was impossible. Entirely impossible. He was there last night by her side. Only a few days ago he was watching the doctor peel away her burned skin. He'd said it'd take quite some time to recover, at least a few weeks to see any substantial change…It was just simply impossible. Sasuke was speechless, unable to even comprehend her presence in front of him.

"Sasuke…you're here." Naruko spoke, her voice gentle as she offered him a soft smile. Oddly, her tone reminded Sasuke of his mother in that moment.

A voice with such pure love and gentleness that it tugged at his very soul.

There were emotions in her voice that made the Uchiha want to crumble to the floor. His heart felt heavy, his knees weak and unbalanced. The room fell into a quiet trance as the two-ninja held eye contact.

Tazuna's gruff voice broke the silence in the room.

"Can you believe it Sasuke? A miraculous recovery!"

After a few short, rushed breaths Sasuke finally found himself able to react. Even he wasn't prepared for the swirling emotions that began to bubble to the surface of his mind. Sasuke wanted to be ecstatic. He wanted nothing more to race to Naruko, pick her up, and spin her in his arms. But none of that happened. No, his delayed reaction was not…good.

"What is this?" Sasuke asked. His jaw clenched angrily, sharingan eyes narrowed sharply, a poisonous anger in his voice that caused everyone in the room to flinch other than himself.

He stared at Naruko, inexplicably enraged at her recovered form. There was something he didn't know. Something being deliberately hidden from the Uchiha. Sasuke never liked secrets, but hidden knowledge of this magnitude…from someone he loved, felt like a surprise punch to his unguarded stomach.

Tazuna was the first to respond.

"Sasuk-."

"Shut it." Sasuke growled, uninterested in anyone's voice other than blonde girl in front of him. Only she could possibly explain this bizarre situation…and she damn well better.

Sasuke's red, calculative eyes watched Naruko slowly stand up, wincing in slight pain before tentatively bringing her gaze to his own. Sasuke mentally flinched at the hurt, clouding Naruko's eyes but he kept his pose strong and his resolve steady. He wanted answers.

"Sasuke. I'm…Well…I." Naruko stuttered, unable to come up with words to even start a conversation.

Hearing Sasuke's rough, angered voice sent waves of panic through Naruko. She couldn't shake the feeling of impending doom that crept closer and closer as she struggled to answer Sasuke's demand. Could she tell him the truth? Could she explain how she recovered so fast?

If Sasuke knew of the monster that lay imprisoned in her belly, would he leave her?

That last haunting thought brought faint, watery tears to her eyes, and Naruko let out a shaky breath, simply relying on mere hope that her tears wouldn't start cascading down her whiskered cheeks. She was positively torn, split as she tried to weigh all the possible options that presented themselves in her mind trying desperately to find the best outcome. No words seemed aid her.

Sasuke growled in frustration. Frustration in Naruko's silence as she merely stood in front of him, writhing and twisting under his harsh gaze. Was it really so hard to simply tell him the truth? All he wanted was the truth. Without it…what was the point of his actions over the last three days? What was the point of falling into despair, worrying day and night without sleep, hoping the Naruko would at least survive? Sasuke had prepared himself for the worst, prepared himself to devote the rest of his life to helping Naruko live as she once had. He committed himself to a lifetime of servitude, hoping that Naruko would at the very least be content with her life after such a devastating, life-altering recovery.

Only now, he found out his concern wasn't necessary…there was nothing to be worried about. The last three days had mere been brushed away the moment Sasuke laid eyes on Naruko's recovered form. The only problem being, Sasuke couldn't simply brush away those feelings. He couldn't wipe away his sorrow and simply be happy Naruko was okay because none of this made any sense. He was being played for a fool.

His movements were swift, startlingly so. Sasuke stepped forward, grabbing Naruko's wrist in his grasp, holding her tightly even as she gasped in shock. The Uchiha said nothing, only turning his body and rushing towards the entrance of the home. He pulled Naruko with him, forcing her to follow at an unreasonable pace.

"Sasuke, honey wait!" Tsunami called, but Sasuke kept his gaze straight, slamming the door open with his palm and dragging Naruko and himself outside. Perhaps Naruko would be silent in the presence of other company, and his sudden overwhelming desire for answers suggested that she might be more willing to explain in a more private setting.

"Slow down." Naruko pleaded, uncomfortable with tight grip Sasuke held on her wrist.

Despite Naruko's seemingly perfect recovery, the girl was still damaged. Layers under her skin felt raw, sensitive. The demon inside her may be able to heal her quickly, but pain wasn't something so easily dulled. Naruko winced as Sasuke seemed to ignore her and continued to drag the girl into the forest near the cabin home.

Shade enveloped the two-ninja as they rushed under the cover of the leaves. Sasuke, content with the distance he put between himself and Tazuna's family finally stopped. He stood tall, back faced to Naruko, internally wondering just how long Naruko had been keeping a secret of this magnitude. The Uchiha felt Naruko ripping her wrist out of his grip and he swung his body to face her His eyes blazing with a passionate anger that seemed to be more prevalent in his attitude these days.

"What are you hiding?" Sasuke growled.

Naruko's face fell, sadness and sorrow washing over her as she gazed at the man she loved.

"I-…I can't-." Naruko tried to explain, but words consistently failed her.

There was no way for her to explain the demon sealed within. Naruko couldn't fathom the idea of Sasuke learning about the Kyuubi. He didn't know how weak of a ninja she really was, or how powerful she could become under the Kyuubi's corrupted influence. Sasuke couldn't know that her body was not entirely her own.

"Just tell me what you're hiding!" Sasuke yelled, annoyed at Naruko's hesitation.

He could see Naruko's watery eyes shift towards the grassy floor, unable to even look him in the eyes. Didn't she love him? Didn't she trust him? Was there something darker and more sinister at play? Sasuke's mind raced through hundreds of possibilities, trying to explain away Naruko's actions, each scenario worrying the young man more and more.

"I need to know" Sasuke pleaded, his tone begging for answers.

"I can…I can keep my secrets." Naruko mumbled arms wrapping around herself as she began to feel vulnerability so potent, it rooted her body in place.

Why was Sasuke doing this to her?

"No you can't." The Uchiha growled. "Not this one."

Naruko's eyes finally glanced up at Sasuke's enraged sharingan eyes. His red eyes, so full of anger, directed at her, made Naruko flinch. She held a moment of silence searching for some sort of answer she could provide the man and in this search Naruko found a resolve to stand her ground. Despite wanting to desperately run away, hide herself from the anger being pushed towards her…Naruko's eyes narrowed, placing her own glare on the Uchiha's pale visage. She would not be treated this way.

"Don't act like you own me." Naruko whispered. Her voice may have been quiet, but Sasuke's eyes widened as he felt a particular venom laced in her words. Venom, he never knew Naruko could have.

Sasuke stepped closer to the blonde woman, challenging her. If Naruko wanted to fight, then fine, he'd fight, and he'd get his answers.

"You think I can ignore the fact we'd both been close to death only a few days ago?"

"Shouldn't you be happy you're not dead?" Naruko countered, clenching her teeth together tightly.

Sasuke took another step forward, inching closer to the girl that desperately held the truth from him. Sasuke could feel his fists clenching tightly at his sides, almost to the point of pain.

"So you admit you had something to do with my recovery?" The Uchiha questioned.

Naruko took a step forward as well, no longer willing to back down from Sasuke. She had enough of his unjustified attitude.

"Why can't you just thank me and move on?"

"You think it's that simple?"

The two-ninja stood mere inches away from each other. Naruko glared at Sasuke, feeling his hot, angry puffs of breath brush against her face as the two raged against each other. Naruko couldn't think of a response in the moment and Sasuke continued.

"You must really be an idiot if you think-." Sasuke started, only to be cut off with a strike to his cheek.

Sasuke stumbled backwards from the blow, his palm pressed to his injured face. His eyes stared, wide and shocked at Naruko. The girl's face was red, seething with anger as she took heavy breaths of air. Sasuke glanced at the fist that punched him, noting the light pink skin of her knuckles where they made contact with his face.

"I told you to never call me that!" Naruko shouted, her voice cracking with hurt.

Sasuke quickly recovered from his shock, marching back towards Naruko with a renewed vigor.

"And why would I listen to you? The way I see it, it seems like you think you own me!"

"If that were true you would have never left the village!" The young blond roared.

Naruko couldn't handle the back and forth shouting anymore, her instincts screamed for action. Her muscles tensed, and the moment the Uchiha stepped closer, she pounced. Naruko slammed into Sasuke with a grunt. The two-ninja fell to the forest floor in a tumbling mess of limbs. Sasuke growled, trying to pin Naruko with his strength as the two rolled around unceremoniously. Sasuke groaned, feeling Naruko's palm slam upwards into his chin. He also heard her gasp as his fist managed to roughly punch into the girl's thigh.

Sasuke flipped his body, sharingan eyes active as he found a way to maneuver through the tangled limbs of himself and Naruko, but a strange, powerful strength that Naruko had kept him from winning. A stray knee embedded itself into Sasuke's stomach and he wheezed, feeling the air quickly being sucked from his lungs. The Uchiha clamped his legs over Naruko's arm, squeezing tightly. He knew the pressure made Naruko hesitate in pain and used that opportunity to find a way to end the fight.

Pale palms flew through the air, latching onto tanned wrists, and with one powerful shove, Sasuke threw his whole body over the woman beneath him. The black-haired teen pinned Naruko's arms above her head, while he straddled over her hip, keeping his weight pressed into her. The two-ninja huffed and breathed roughly, sweat dripped from Sasuke's front bangs onto Naruko's white t-shirt beneath him. Sasuke closed his eyes, trying to catch his breath.

"Get off." Naruko growled, her voice much rougher than Sasuke remembered.

"Tell me what you're hiding." Sasuke bit back, eyes still closed as he struggled to regain his stamina. It seemed that neither of them had come close to fully recovering from their last battle.

"No." She exclaimed, trying to relentlessly wiggle out of Sasuke's hold.

"Tell me!" Sasuke snarled, his patience wearing out entirely.

"Why does it matter so much!?" Naruko snarled back.

"Because!" Sasuke screamed, his voice cracking as his next words came tumbling out of his lips, messy, and filled with emotion he hadn't released since he was a child. "Because the last time someone I loved kept a secret from me, my clan was slaughtered!"

Sasuke felt Naruko go limp from under his hold, but he refused to look at her, not now. Not after he'd shone her an ugly weakness buried in his heart. He shouldn't have told her that…because now, the emotions he kept bottled up tightly inside as a child, began to leak out, flooding his system with anguish he couldn't accurately describe.

"Just." Sasuke sighed, "Please…tell me." His voice quiet, broken, pleading. Sasuke couldn't help but envision himself as a child once more…scared, alone, with no answers to explain his brother's actions.

"Suke" Naruko whimpered.

Naruko felt a sadness well within her heart as her gaze slid over the broken features of Sasuke's face. The man looked shattered, so overwhelmed with hurt that Naruko couldn't fight against the sob that brought its way up her throat. Naruko felt the sting of tears in her eyes and with a pained blink of her eyelashes she felt them slide down the sides of her face, onto the grass below. Was she crying for Sasuke? Or was she crying, knowing that her resolve had been broken, knowing that her deepest, darkest secret would be laid bare for the Uchiha? Probably both…

Naruko knew her anger had called the demon's chakra during their fight, all Sasuke had to do was simply look upon her, and then he'd know…he'd know that she was a monster.

"Look…at me." Naruko cried softly, her rough demonic voice filled with pain.

Sasuke hardly recognized the sound of Naruko's voice but he knew it belonged to her, there was nobody else nearby. With a deep, shaky breath, Sasuke relieved the stress that had been built up in his body, before turning his face to follow Naruko's voice. She wanted him to look at her…he would. Sasuke's eye lids fluttered open, his black iris' glancing down below.

Sasuke's mouth parted in shock as his gaze raked over Naruko's form. He started with her hands, still pinned above her blonde head. Her tanned fingers curled slightly with long, claw-like nails at the tips. His eyes traveled lower, noticing the disheveled appearance of Naruko's hair, filled with leaves and twigs from their tumble, but strangely, her front bangs that covered her forehead seemed to be more spiky than normal.

Sasuke's breath stilled as he found himself staring at Naruko's face. Blazing, dark, red, slitted eyes stared back into his own. He watched as tears pooled over the menacing, evil looking orbs before leaking out the sides of Naruko's face. Sasuke saw all the vulnerability, all the pain locked with Naruko's transformed eyes.

"Now you know…" Naruko's rough voice spoke, breaking as she realized she had surrendered herself entirely to Sasuke.

Sasuke moved, watching her lips as she spoke, spotting the fanged canines that hid themselves underneath and the darkened whisker marks on her cheeks. He didn't understand…How had Naruko kept this hidden for so long? Was she using a genjutsu? Was this her true appearance? Or something entirely different?

"I don't understand…" Sasuke whispered, his brows twisting with confusion.

A humorless, empty laugh from Naruko made Sasuke's heart constrict.

"Can't you see?...I'm a monster."

Sasuke frowned. He didn't like the way Naruko was speaking. He didn't understand anything at all. His response to her words was slow, hesitant.

"You're…not." Sasuke didn't notice the uncertainty of his statement, but Naruko picked up on it immediately.

Naruko closed her eyes, in resigned defeat, a sad smile spreading lightly over her lips.

"I guess I'm not entirely a monster…not exactly." Naruko felt the weight of Sasuke's grip on her wrists disappear and she lowered her arms to her side. However, Sasuke made no move to get off her, keeping Naruko beneath him. "But this is who I am."

Sasuke watched Naruko struggle to speak, her rough voice foreign to his ears. The young man tried to connect the dots, understand what Naruko could be saying. He couldn't. He wanted to know more, but seeing Naruko as she was now, he couldn't push her for anymore answers. Sasuke mentally groaned realizing the mistake of forcing Naruko to reveal her secret.

As Sasuke continued to stew in his own thoughts, Naruko struggled with the pain of the silence that surrounded them.

"You can't love me anymore." Naruko whimpered.

Sasuke's ears twitched at the words. His eyes set ablaze in their sharingan form as they flashed to Naruko's crestfallen face.

"Why not?" Sasuke asked, confused, hurt. Did she think he would abandon her?

"Look at me!" Naruko roared. Her silent sobs becoming more pronounced as she continued to weep.

"I am." Sasuke replied as gently as he could.

"You don't understand!" Naruko twisted her body, no longer wanting to be trapped under Sasuke's body.

"I don't." Sasuke agreed.

Sasuke reached toward Naruko, placing his palm on the darkened whisker marks of her cheek. The young blonde stilled her movements, frozen at the contact. Sasuke used his palm, rubbing Naruko's cheek gently, his eyes lowering towards the sight of Naruko's parted lips. His sharingan eyes flickered up towards Naruko's own red eyes, gazing into their depths with a confidence that stole Naruko's breath.

"You're not a monster..." Sasuke mumbled, speaking with more reserved confidence than he had before. If that's what Naruko thought she was...He had to make sure his reaction was clear.

Sasuke leaned his body down, inching his own face towards Naruko's. He felt Naruko's clawed hands grip the front of his shirt, struggling to push or pull the Uchiha away in conflicting motions. Naruko felt frozen, her animalistic eyes watching Sasuke's own as his eyelids slowly closed shut as he neared. She glanced towards his parting lips, imagining the cool marble feel of them against her own.

Naruko's heart twisted achingly. Sasuke couldn't do this. He shouldn't do this.

"Stop." Naruko weakly whimpered. This wasn't possible. In all her imagined scenarios, Sasuke wasn't supposed to do this.

"No." Sasuke whispered, his lips so close that the movement brush against Naruko's own lips.

The contact sent Naruko into an unexplainable frenzy. She arched her neck up, suddenly meeting Sasuke's lips with a feverish need. Her clawed fingers wrapping themselves in the black strands of Sasuke's hair. Her lips moving, always moving as she pushed against Sasuke's. She felt his tongue part his lips, and swipe across her own. Naruko gasped and the muscle delved deep inside her open mouth, gliding through her heated cavern without regret.

Naruko let out a whine mixed with a tingling moan as she felt Sasuke's tongue brush and poke against her elongated canines. He wasn't supposed to accept her like this. Naruko's eyes clouded over in lust. A hot, twisting knot forming in her loins that made her body gyrate in pleasure. She felt Sasuke's tongue leave her mouth, but her disappointment was short lived as she felt his cool lips press against the curve of her jaw, trailing wet, gentle kisses across her skin.

"Ah." Naruko gasped, feeling Sasuke tilt her head slightly to suck on the pulse point of her neck.

Naruko leaned her head to the side, allowing the Uchiha more admittance, giving him unrestricted access to her most vulnerable spot. A spot that ninja never left open for fear of a swift death. Naruko wanted Sasuke to have it. She wanted him to have everything in that moment. Naruko moaned once more, feeling Sasuke's tongue slide from her collarbone all the way up to her ear, leaving a trail of saliva that cooled her burning skin. She felt the tickling sensation of his breath right against her.

"Forgive me." He whispered, his soft breaths send shivers through Naruko's body as they entered through her ear. "I only act the way I do because I'm irrevocably in love with you."

"I don't know why." Naruko responded quietly, a nervous uncertainty hidden in her tone.

Sasuke leaned backwards, finding a sudden break in his hazy lust to give room for Naruko to breathe. His eyes filled with love as he gazed upon Naruko's flushed cheeks. His attention suddenly shifted, caught by the way Naruko's eyes seemed to slowly recede back to their cerulean color. He noticed her whisker marks fading to their light, original form, along with her canines and nails.

The Uchiha finally decided to slide his body off of Naruko's no longer pinning the woman to the forest floor. As soon as his weight was off her, Sasuke felt Naruko crash her body into his, wrapping her slender arms around his torso, digging her face into his chest.

"Don't leave me." Naruko whispered, the fabric of Sasuke's shirt muffling her voice further.

Naruko tightened her hold on the Uchiha, unable to comprehend the pain or anguish his leaving would bring her. Naruko loved Sasuke with all her heart, but it seemed that his accepting her Kyuubi form sent that love to new heights. She couldn't imagine ever leaving him, especially after seeing the emotions of his past awaken themselves only moments ago.

Naruko relaxed, feeling Sasuke's strong arms wrap themselves around her in an equally tight pressure as her own grip. Her breath falling steadier. There was an unexplainable warmth and safety that made her cheeks burn, and her heart glow.

"I wont."

Naruko nuzzled deeper into Sasuke's chest, inhaling his scent as deeply as she possibly could.

"I'll tell you everything." She promised.

Naruko felt Sasuke's lips on the top of her head, pressing deeply into her blonde locks. He began to mumble.

"Only when you're ready."

SO! Next chapter might be a bit a ways. I haven't started writing it yet, but have my outline about 3/4ths completed. Not saying it's gonna be a quick upload but lots of reviews tend to give me motivation to work on this fanfic for days at a time. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed the chapter and I'll see ya when I see ya! Bye!
