Sorry for this short intro, stuff in my life has been a bit hectic over the last couple months. Computer trouble, moving workplaces, and having prior engagements nearly every weekend this month. Together with writers block has made finding time to write this really hard. I think things are starting to calm down at home and I got a new computer that I am putting together to replace my malfunctioning one. I will try to get more out soon but I have not given up on this yet.
Next, I want to tell everyone that has pm'd me recently that I will get to replying you soon. especially the long ones.
And honestly this whole chapter feels bad. It was hard putting this together after being away from the keyboard for so long. So I hope you will put up with my next few chapters till I get back into the swing of things.
well enjoy.
Yoriko had barely realized what the girl had said before she attacked. A rinkaku burst out from her back and flew out towards Shoji's neck. But to everyone else's surprise the young man dodged the attack. With everyone shocked by this and the attacker now unbalanced after her missed attack, Shoji was able to sprint up to her. He dodged a panicked punch from his foe before grabbing her and flipping her flat on her back.
"Hitomi!" her partner called out before trying to rush to her defense. But that played right into her foes plan. Shoji, in one fluid set of motions, slammed a fist into Hitomi's neck and then turned around to face the other girl while pulling something out of his pocket. The item from his pocket turned out to be a handful of powder which he then threw into the face of the second foe. The girl screamed as the powder flew into her eyes; burning them intensely. She fell to the ground in pain while she clawed at her eyes trying to get the stuff out of her eyes.
Shoji then turned around and quickly picked up Kieko and ordered the other two, "follow me!" They ran after him with only a moment hesitation. Passing the two ghouls who were still healing from their injuries. Shoji led them through more side streets and alleyways. Yoriko got a bit worried that they were going in circles. But the boy looked certain in his route, so she swallowed her fears and continued to follow him. After roughly five to ten minutes they came out of another alleyway into a dirty industrial lane. It was a small one lane street with chain link fence along a majority of it. None of the girls could figure out why he had led them here.
"Over here."
Hinami and Yoriko turned towards the voice to see a man waving at them from the driver's seat of a van. Shoji immediately rushed towards the van. He opened the passenger door and placed the young girl into it. "Thanks for coming," he said to the driver as he waved the other two girls to the van. "No problem," the driver replied. "None of us are going to refuse to help when it's a code zero."
Shoji nodded at his friend before turning to Yoriko and Hinami. "Get in," he told them, "we need to get out of here." Hinami looked a bit afraid but took a step towards the van before Yoriko stopped her. Yoriko was not about to get into some unknown van and let it take her anywhere till she got some answers. Confronting Shoji, she asked, "What is going on? Who is he? What's a code zero? And who are you?!"
she knew they were pressed for time but she that didn't mean that she should just jump into a van that for all she knows could lead her to somewhere worse. Shoji looked a bit pained at this; obviously worried about the two ghouls catching up. But he took a calming breath before replying, "Look, now's not the time. I promise you that I'll explain everything once we get to Anteiku. Trust me please!" Yoriko was still not certain she could trust him.
But before she could answer him, the driver exclaimed, "We got company!" The group turned to see the female ghouls now approaching them. "You bastard!" one of them screamed. "That hurt, human! I'm going to enjoy disemboweling you!"
Yoriko felt a chill at this proclamation. But still she moved between Keiko in the van and the two ghouls. At the same time Shoji pulled out a baton from the back of the van. He then got in front of Yoriko and faced one of the girls while Hinami faced the other; releasing her own Kagune.
This only caused the two of enemy ghouls to laugh. "You don't really think you can challenge us?" the one known as Hitomi mocked. At this Shoji just smirked. "You never know. The world is just full of surprises."
It was then another figure jump into the fray. With the speed only a Ukaku ghoul was capable of, Touka jumped down from the rooftop of a nearby building and swung her unleashed kagune at Hitomi. The girl barely dodged and escaped with only a small gash on arm. "Oi! Bitch!" Touka snapped, "What do you think you're doing to my friends and classmate!?"
"Touka?" Shoji dumbly blurted. "Why are you here?" Nishiki then jumped down from the same building top that Touka had come from. As he causally walked over to the van he answered, "Ken has an associate who's good with computers. We were able to get him to track your phone's gps after Touka received your message about finding Yoriko. Once we had a general idea form that, Touka rushed over here as fast as she could. I was barely able to keep with her."
Nishiki then released his own kagune and locked eyes with the girls. "Lucky for you two I'm exhausted don't really feel like fighting right now. So, what's it going to be. Leave now or get ripped apart by my pissed off partner here?" he informed the two. Touka's face twisted in irritation at the idea of letting them leave but she knew it was better than risking one of the humans getting killed in the fight. Hitomi looked over the group as she debated her choices. Finally, with a huff she turned around and walked off. "We're leaving," she answered irritated. Her partner looked a bit torn before turning to follow Hitomi. "But don't think I'll forget about this!"
As they left, the humans in the group visibly relaxed. Shoji looked like he was about to say something before Touka spun around and snapped, "Everyone in the van! NOW!" She then pointed at the driver and ordered, "Take us to Anteiku or I'll make you regret not becoming those two's dinner."
Well this was not my best work. i haven't written in so long that it was hard to get this together. Especially since I had no really idea how I wanted to end this. I may bring the two of the girls back or I may let them come back later. they were really only made for lackeys but if you guys like them I think I can work on it.
please read, review, fav, follow, and enjoy.
