Olicity High School AU
Oliver Queen was a mess. Tommy had gotten him drunk so many times this week that he was no longer sure if it was Laurel or the alcohol that was responsible for the raging feeling of misery that was feeding his apathy.
"Oliver!"
Moira's voice was followed by loud banging on his bedroom's door.
"Oliver it's been a week! You're going back to school! Today!"
He groaned and hid a bit more under his blanket.
A week. It's been a week since Laurel had broken up with him, shattering his heart in the process.
"I don't want to go!" He answered.
"Tommy sayd everybody at your school says you're a weenie!"
Thea, his sister, had joined his mother in front of the door. Oliver rose up suddenly and opened the door.
"What?" he said.
Thea smirked.
"That's just what I heard."
"You're too young to be this evil." Oliver answered. "Fine! I'll go to school!"
"Targeting his ego…" Moira said, looking at Thea. "Why didn't I think of that."
With a sigh, Oliver closed his bedroom door and got ready. Might as well look the best he could if everyone really thought he was a weenie.
His driver left him at the school's door and quickly left to drop Thea to middle school. Oliver took a deep breath and walked in with his personal victory strut.
Barely had he taken a few steps, he bumped into a brown headed girl with glasses.
"Sorry!" She said quickly. Her eyes widened when she recognised him.
"Hi", Oliver said, "I'm…"
"I know who you are", she interrupted. "I didn't mean to say that this quickly."
She closed her eyes, sighing.
Oliver laughed.
"And you are?"
"Felicity. Smoak."
"Nice to meet you, Felicity Smoak", he said smiling. "Sorry I bumped into you."
"She was totally my fault", she added as he walked away.
He smiled at her a bit more, she was really cute.
He turned from her and his eyes met Laurel's, descending the stairs with some friends. Oliver froze, and, without thinking twice, walked back to Felicity.
"Hey can you do me a favor?" He whispered quickly in her ear.
"Sure", she answered, confusingly.
Without further explanation, he grabbed her hand.
"Start laughing like I said something funny!" Oliver said, checking if Laurel was getting closer.
Felicity laughed as Laurel passed by them. She stopped.
"Hey Ollie!" she said. "How are you doing?"
"Great!" he answered, clutching Felicity's hand.
Laurel noticed.
"You two are together?" she asked in a blank voice.
Oliver looked side-eye at Felicity, not wanting to involve her in a bigger matter.
"Yeah, we are", Felicity said, nodding her head. "In fact, he was with me for the past week", she added.
Laurel nodded, biting her lips.
"Ok, well, I'll leave you two be. See you later."
Felicity and Oliver both stared at her back and when she turned the corner, they both exhale deeply. Oliver let go of Felicity's hand.
"Thank you", he said, gratefully. "I'm sorry I pulled you in a corner like this…"
"It's ok", Felicity said, smiling.
"How'd you know I wasn't at school last week?", he asked.
"Oh, uh…" Felicity said awkwardly, scratching her head.
Oliver smirked.
"I have to go", she said. "Chem class…"
"Alright", he answered, still smiling.
As she walked away, he cried out:
"Hey, Felicity!"
She turned to him.
"Yes?"
"You wanna go out sometimes?"
She smile, biting her lips, and Oliver fell like the past week was a nightmare he had just woken up from. He smiled back.
