Chapter 4: Its Name is Scarlet Knight!

Natsu immediately rushed to the knocked-out redhead. "Erza? Erza?! Erza!" He shook her in an attempt to wake her companion. With a furious look in his eyes, Natsu clenched his fists and grabbed Jotaro by the front of his shirt as he pulled him down to eye-level. "You bastard!" He then threw his left fist towards Jotaro's face, but before it could make an impact, a purple hand caught Natsu's fist and clenched it tightly so that he wouldn't move. Jotaro eased the grip on his shirt and dusted himself off as he stood up.

"Listen, Natsu, I didn't mean to cause such a ruckus and I'm sorry for what I did to your friend there, but let me explain myself first." Natsu gritted his teeth as he jumped up with the figure still held his left fist.

"Like hell, you will!" He then surrounded his right foot with green, surging Magical energy. "ADAMANTINE DRAGON'S CRUSHING CLAW!" Natsu struck downwards with his foot, creating an explosion between the two men. As the dust cleared, the purple figure that fought Erza before appeared again and held tightly onto Natsu's fist and foot. "Dammit!" Natsu struggled to pull his arm and foot out from the individual before he was thrown into one of the guild's beams. Wincing for a second, he quickly got up and charged towards Jotaro once again. As Natsu was closing in on Jotaro, a giant arm slammed before the two men.

"NATSU! That's enough!" Natsu whipped his head towards Makarov who had a stern look on his face.

"But Gramps, he-!" Before Natsu could say any more, he saw Makarov's other hand grab the back of his head and force him to the floor. Makarov jumped down on the ground floor and looked at Jotaro with a calm smile on his face.

"Mr. Jotaro, please forgive Natsu for his rash nature. He's very headstrong." Makarov smiled at Jotaro as he still held on Natsu's head to the floor, making Jotaro sweatdrop. "However...I can agree that his anger was not misplaced. I don't tolerate any violence against my children and, even though you are the grandson of a very close friend of mine, the same can be said about you so you better have a good explanation for your actions." Jotaro swallowed instinctively as he was taken back by the older man's sudden harsh and threatening tone as his face changed into a sudden scowl. "Now, please apologize."

Jotaro bowed which made Makarov ease on the force on Natsu's head, allowing him to look up. "I apologize for my actions whole-heartedly! I shouldn't have been in such a rush to question your friend, Ms. Erza. It's just that I have been searching for this unknown assailant for some time now because of the reasons that most to all of their victims have died from their attack. And those who do survive-"

Natsu was able to force his head a little higher. "Have those weird creatures right?"

Jotaro nodded as he looked up. "Yes, although they're not really creatures." He stood completely up as the purple figure appeared again, standing next to him. "These are actually spirits called Stands. A Stand is a physical manifestation of a person's fighting spirit. They work like this: the stronger the person's will to fight and survive, the stronger the Stand will become."

"Wait, I have a question." Jotaro turned his attention to Levy who raised her hand as she sitting with Lucy and Cana at a table. "How exactly do people get these Stands?"

"People can't be born with Stands if that's what you were thinking." Jotaro calmly explained. "Yes, the ability to inherit a Stand is possible. However, those are only in special cases. The most common way is through getting impaled by this." He then pulled out a picture of the golden arrow and bow. "You see, once someone has this arrow and bow, they have the ability to create many Stand Users."

"But wouldn't that be a good thing?" Levy spoke out again. "I mean, isn't the ability to gain a Stand dependent on a person's moral compass?"

Jotaro tipped his hat a bit before looking back at the bluenette. "As much as I would like to believe that, it is not true. There are only a select few people who have Stands and use them for good. Many of them use their Stands for their own benefits or, more dreadfully, use them to hurt others." As he finished speaking, Jotaro's and everyone's attention turned towards Erza as the redhead was starting to wake up. Natsu immediately rushed to her side as he heard her mumble.

"Erza! Erza!" He called out as he shook Erza who was starting to open her eyes.

"N...Natsu?" With her eyes fully open, Erza turned her head towards the source of the noise and looked directly at Natsu. She sat up and rubbed her head as she looked around. "W-What happened?"

Natsu helped her up onto her feet as he smiled. "Y...You got into a small fight with Mr. Jotaro here about your cake." Natsu held up his hands and patted the redhead as she began to pout and look angry. "But don't worry, he's gonna buy you another one, right Jotaro?" Natsu turned to face the man with a smug smile on his face as he spoke with slight poison in his voice, making Jotaro flinch.

He was going to disagree, however, once he saw the girl known as Erza beam with energy, he thought otherwise. Jotaro sighed. "Good grief, fine, how much do one of these cakes cost here?" He turned to walk towards the bar, but stopped once he felt someone grab his shoulder.

"Uh uh, not here. Follow me, c'mon on Erza." Natsu then led both Erza and Jotaro out of the guild, making all of the inhabitants watch as they left in astonishment of what had just happened. After looking at all of his children shocked and confused, Makarov had sighed as he rubbed his head.

'I hope things will work for the better...' He then turned and walked back into his office.

"There's no way I'm paying for fifty strawberry cheesecakes!" Jotaro shouted as he slammed his fist on the counter to which Natsu just stood across him with a stern look on his face.

"Well, that the amount of cakes Erza has normally and you agree to buy her one after your little fight, so...?" Natsu pointed back to the chef who was smiling nervously because of the two men's argument. "Besides... Do you want to make my poor friend, Erza cry?" Natsu had grabbed the redhead by her side and as if on cue, as she turned to face the tall man, Erza's eyes had begun to swell up with tears and she looked as if she was on the verge of crying.

Jotaro raised his hand and turned to face away from her. "Alright! Alright! You win!" Jotaro pulled out his wallet and began to pay for the purchase. "How exactly do we go about bringing these cakes to your home?"

"Oh, that's easy, they'll deliver it to my house. The location is saved in the system." Natsu spoke as he leads Erza and Jotaro out of the store. As the trio walked throughout the town, Jotaro chuckled as he watched Natsu blush everytime Erza grabbed his hand and point to every shop with child-like excitement. He stopped, however, once he felt the chilling winter-spring breeze blow on him as the trio walked down the forest path.

"Natsu," Jotaro spoke as he fixed his collar. "How much further is your house?"

"Not much, sorry. I forgot to mention I live on the outskirts of Magnolia. Most vehicles don't come out this way." Natsu glanced back at the tall man who was shivering at the strong winds blowing against him.

"I think you mean most vehicles can't come out this way. You live out in the boondocks, Natsu. You don't like people?"

"Hmm... Nah, I like people. I just like living out in the woods more. Don't have to deal with annoying neighbors or the loud sounds of the city life. It's much more peaceful out here, ya know?"

"So, you don't like me, Natsu?" Erza pouted at the rosette who immediately shook his head and hands.

"What?! No! Of course, I like you, Erza. You're a good person and friend. I like spending time with you."

"Did you hear that, Mr. Jotaro? Natsu said he liked me." Erza smiled as she looked back at Jotaro, despite the fact that the cold air was getting to him, Jotaro smiled back at him. He found that the scarlet woman's smile was contagious and made him feel warm as he looked at it. Suddenly, Erza let go of Natsu's hand, turned around and shouted:

"Hey Natsu, Jotaro, come chase me!" She quickly chased off in the woods, leaving the two men behind and confused.

"Wait, what? Erza? Erza! ERZA! Get back here!" The dragon slayer soon chased after the woman with Jotaro following him. Despite Natsu's and Jotaro's many yelling to come back, Erza kept running and laughing, how the two men didn't catch and how the redhead didn't lose stamina was astonishing to the two men chasing after her. However, the more they ran, the more that Natsu found that the area began to look familiar. Before he could say anything, Erza had stopped moving and turned around, standing in front of a familiar brick building surrounded by large trees with little leaves on them, to the side of the front door were large brown boxes.

"You finally caught up~." Erza smiled innocently as she clasped her hand together behind her back as she leaned back and forth on her feet. Jotaro simply fixed his hat and sighed whereas Natsu's face scowled as he looked angry, shocking the redhead.

"Erza!" He shouted as he walked closer to the woman. "Do you have any idea how scary that was? Why did you run off like that?!"

"I-I thought it would be fun." Erza stammered, growing more scared as her friend sounded angrier by the minute.

"Fun?! You thought running off on your own and scaring me half to death was fun?! Don't you realize how dangerous that was?! You could have gotten attacked or hurt or even-!"

"Hey, Natsu." Jotaro stepped closer to the two. Natsu turned his head to face the man with, still angry.

"What is it? What do you have to say?"

With his hat covering his eyes, Jotaro pointed towards Erza. "I'd look at your friend."

Natsu tilted his head in confusion. "What? Why would I...?" As he turned around, he looked at Erza who had tears welling up in her eyes as she angrily pouted at him. 'Oh, crap...' Before he could say anything, Natsu felt a sudden pressure hit his stomach, making him flinch and bend down. He looked to see Erza beating on his head with both of her hands.

"Waahhh! You're so mean, Natsu!" Erza wailed loudly as she beat on Natsu's head and shoulders, unknowingly making him fall to his knees because of her great strength. As she cried and assault Natsu, Jotaro backed up as his eyes widened as she stood there surprised.

'And he was worried I was gonna hurt her? That chick's got some monster strength!' Jotaro gulped as he watched Natsu get beaten. 'I've got to stop this.' His eyes turned towards the big brown boxes and he sneaked towards them. He opened a box and looked inside to see the small pink boxes, as he opened one, he found the contents of the small boxes were just what he needed. 'Perfect!' "Hey, Erza!"

As the redhead turned her head to face the tall man, tears still in her eyes, Erza's eyes widened as she saw Jotaro was holding: a delicious-looking slice of strawberry cheesecake. She instantly stopped beating on Natsu as well as crying and began drooling at the mere sight of it.

"You want it?" Jotaro asked to which Erza quickly nodded and held out her hand to receive it. "I'll give it to you, but you gotta promise: you're not going to attack Natsu, you understand?" Again, Erza quickly nodded her head as she put up both of her hands. Jotaro nodded as he placed the box in her hands, her eyes glistened and beamed as she held, as if the slice of cake was a gift from God. As Erza was enjoying seeing her favorite treat, Natsu was getting up and rubbing his head and neck.

"Damn, I forgot how strong Erza really is." Natsu sucked on his teeth as he flinched as he got up, he almost fell back down if it wasn't for Jotaro catching him mid-fall.

"So tell me, what were you so afraid of happening to her if she can do this to you?" Jotaro joked, making Natsu chuckle as well as he stood back up. "Mind opening the door? It's getting cold out here.

"Yeah, yeah." Having gotten used to the pain, Natsu managed to walk towards the door and grabbed his house key, unlocking the door and lead the other two into his home. Erza immediately rushed into the house and began to eat the little piece of heaven she had in her hands while the men carried in the boxes of cake. As they finished, Jotaro sat in a chair that was across from the happy redhead while Natsu walked into the kitchen and looked through the fridge. "Jotaro, you hungry? I can make you something."

"Nah, probably tomorrow. I can get something tonight on my way back to my hotel room." Natsu and Jotaro turned their head to hear the delighted humming of Erza as she finished eating her piece of strawberry cheesecake. "She really likes that cheesecake huh?" Natsu chuckled as he grabbed two large pieces of pure ruby.

"She has for as long as I have known her." Natsu then sat down next to the redhead and placed one piece of ruby on the table in front of them as he ate the other piece, making Jotaro looked at him in utter astonishment. Natsu sensed Jotaro's bewilderment and put down the piece of ruby he was eating. "I'm an Adamantine Dragon Slayer so I can eat gems and diamonds." Having explained, Natsu went back to eating his ruby dinner and as he was beginning to finish his food, he noticed Erza staring intently at the other piece of ruby on the table. "What's the matter, Erza?" He talked before he gulped down his food.

"What is that thing, Natsu?" Erza pointed to it as she turned and looked at the gem.

"That's a ruby, Erza. It's a gemstone and I can eat them thanks to my Magic."

"Can I eat it?"

Natsu laughed at her question. "I wouldn't try it, Erza. You don't have teeth like mine." He then showed the redhead his long sharp canines and other sharp teeth. Erza pouted and crossed her arms, making Natsu chuckled at her cuteness. "Tell you what: why don't you hold it?" He grabbed the other gemstone and placed it in the redhead's hands. Erza's eyes glistened as she looked at the brilliant colored gem. As she studied it, the red and golden crested knight from before appeared again. This time, the spear it usually holds was tied to its back along with the shield. "Uh, Erza? Everything OK?" Natsu and Jotaro flinched as he saw the spirit once again, however, the Stand appeared to have no interest in the two men.

The spirit raised its hands to touch the ruby stone as Erza observed it. As its hands touched the ruby. golden stokes of light beamed throughout the room, almost blinding Natsu and Jotaro. "Ahh! What's happening?!" Natsu shouted as he attempted to shield his eyes. When the light finally died down, Natsu and Jotaro were able to fully open their eyes and when they did, they saw Erza holding a sword. Made of ruby. This time it was Natsu to be astonished as he stood up and backed up. "What the?! Where did that sword come from?!" He then pointed at that sword which scared Erza.

"I didn't mean to!" Erza shook her head as she held the sword and pointed to her Stand. "He just touched it and then, the ruby became a sword!"

Jotaro stood up and put his hand on his chin. "Well, now we know what the Stand's special ability is." Natsu looked at the tall man, confused.

"Special ability? These things have those?"

"Yeah, many Stands do and I'm guessing Erza's can make swords out of any non-living things." Jotaro rubbed the back of his head before he continued. "Now that we know what it can do, it's gotta have a name." Jotaro then turned to look at Erza, who visibly flinched. "You're gonna have come up with a name, Erza."

"Why me?" Erza scratched her head in confusion. "I don't think I'll be good at it. Can you name it for me, Natsu?" She turned to look at her friend who rubbed his face.

"It's not my place to do so. Erza, this Stand is yours so you have the responsibility to do so. It won't be so hard." Natsu assured her. "Just come up with the first thing you can think of."

Erza turned her head to look at the Stand who was promptly looking at her. They stared at each other for a good moment and Erza scanned the figure entirely. She looked at its red and golden plated shoulders, its white armor and finally the red dragon wings that it had on its helmet. It was upon after scanning this figure that Erza turned back to look at Natsu. "Natsu," She asked. "What is it that this thing looks like?... Something about how it looks feels... Familiar." Natsu's eyes widened once she said this.

'I think her memory is starting to come back!' He thought, impressed by the fact that she remembered something by having this newfound power. "Well, I think it looks like a knight. They're really cool people who wear armor and protect the innocent." Natsu smiled softly as he looked away slightly. "You know, you were one of them. Very strong and had good morals. Erza Scarlet, the great woman knight."

Erza's eyes glistened as she instantly stood up. "Really?! I was that awesome?!"

"Of course, you're probably the most awesome knight I know." Natsu smiled as he looked back at her. Erza clenched the sword in her hand as she nodded. "Something wrong, Erza?"

"I got it! The name for my Stand!"

"Oh?" Jotaro decided to join the conversation as she stepped up and smiled. "Let's hear it then."

"The name of my Stand from now on is..." She lifted the ruby sword into the air with much enthusiasm. "Scarlet Knight!" After her exclamation, the Stand stood up, seeming extremely delighted at having a name, and grabbed its spear and raised it to the ceiling then put it against the ruby sword Erza was holding.

"That's an awesome name!" Natsu cheered as he raised his fist and Erza stood in front of him, eyes beaming as she happy. Jotaro smiled as he looked at the redhead, he realized this was the start of another very unique adventure.

'And this new adventure will be accompanied by her new companion. Its Name is Scarlet Knight!'
