Chapter 142
Theme Song: Comatose by Skillet
Deidara's lips demanded so much more than Itachi's ever had. He seemed so desperate for this, like this was all he ever needed. She could feel his right hand biting into her neck, causing a shocked groan. The hand on her back slithered over her exposed skin and sucked at her. Morgan mumbled in protest under the intensity.
Her knees gave and she stared in shock at the man who was kissing her. Deidara's passion continued the kiss even with her inefficient struggling. His muscle kept her pinned and his actions made her head lash around in confusion. What was Deidara thinking?!
Morgan was pressed back into the wall as she was finally released by Deidara. His eyes were smoky as they looked at her, veiled. She could feel his breath on her mouth as he gazed down at her. And ever so slowly his eyes began to clear and he seemed to register what he had done. He took in several deep breaths and stumbled a few steps backwards. His eyes grew wide and frantic, staring at her in horror at his actions. Fingers moved up and wove into his hair as he fell into shock, his skin horribly pale. His voice was shaky as he whispered, "What have I just done?! What did I just do?! Why did I…?!" He pivoted sideways and seemed to sway in his shock. He pressed one hand to his forehead in disbelief as he gawked down at the other. "What have I done?"
His eyes trailed to Morgan as he finally registered the scared expression and the shaking of her frame. He lifted an unsteady hand to her, his voice rapidly increasing in volume. "Morgan, I-... I'm sorry! I don't know what came over me! I-!" The panic increased as he turned nearly hysterical, and he turned and began to run away. He was shaking, his breaths coming hard and fast as he ran. She could still hear him demanding of himself, "What have I just done?!"
Morgan numbly watched him disappear. Her trembling hand lifted to her neck where she had been bitten so many times. She pulled her fingers away and gawked at the blood. She sobbed once and pressed the cloth of her shirt to her bloody neck, gently touching the tender spot on her back that was beginning to bruise.
Her body shook in revulsion as she dropped down onto her knees. She pressed her face into her legs, holding the cloth over each area that had been attacked, and remained there unmoving save for trembling.
It was there, in that position, that Tobi and Madi would find her later. Neither would ask why she was bleeding or what had happened. They could only stare in shock. Madi would switch into a defensive stance and growl, "Where are the attackers?!" Morgan would be helped to stand by Madara.
He would place her arm around his shoulder and carry her back out of the quarry. Her shock would fade as soon as the rocks were out of sight. It would be then that she pulled away muttering, "I'm fine…" Madi would whisper to her that they had finished the mission by themselves, and when neither Deidara nor Morgan had returned, they had gone looking for them.
Morgan would watch the road as she walked. She would still feel him on her skin as her mind turned. She could not tell Itachi. No matter what happened, she could not tell Itachi. If Deidara were to come back… she decided to say nothing. She would pretend as if it never happened. Because Deidara was family. And that would not change no matter what had just happened. A tear would pass over her cheek. No matter what had just happened, she didn't want that to change.

I was the last to enter the base as we returned. I could hear whispers that said Deidara had arrived earlier and locked himself in his room without a word to anyone. Tobi and Madi dashed to relate the mission to Pein, so I continued to hide my marks and escaped to my room. I could not let anyone know what had just happened.
I made it to my room and into the bathroom just in time to lock the door. I disinfected the bite on my shoulder and wrapped it. The mark had perfect little imprints of teeth. The hickey… no, the hickies- covered most of my lower back in little polka dots. I tied the wrap around the marks to hide them from view.
A knock came on the bathroom door and I opened it with a grin. Itachi stood there looking concerned. "Did something happen? I heard Tobi say he found you in the canyon bleeding." I smiled and stated, "I tried to run up the wall and epically failed. I fell down and hurt my shoulder." Itachi frowned and moved over to touch it. I flinched and pushed him back. "It hurts! Don't touch it!"
He sighed at my outburst and pressed a careful hand to my cheek. I saw the affection in his eyes as he looked into mine. He leaned down and kissed me lightly on the lips. I felt like a cheater. I felt like a hooker, just kissing any guy who tries to kiss me. I had never kissed Deidara back, but it still felt like a betrayal not to tell Itachi. But if I told Itachi, he would hurt Deidara. So this would be a painful betrayal to swallow and hide.
Itachi pressed me to the wall and kissed me again. I made absolutely sure to keep the bites hidden. He frowned and pulled away. "You seem uncomfortable. Are you sure that you are alright?" I nodded uncertainly, and his brow furrowed even more. His eyes trailed down to my bandaged shoulder. "Hang on, it's starting to bleed again." I glanced in the mirror and saw the beginnings of the first crescent moon mark. I felt my eyes widen and I screamed for him to get out.
I locked the door behind him and changed the bandages as fast as I could. Itachi could not find out what happened. Deidara would die the moment Itachi found out. I dropped to my knees and cried.
-!-
A sharp knock sounded from the door. Shocked and tear bitten eyes jerked up as someone entered the room. Deidara's long blond hair was wild and tangled as if he had been ruffling it up all night. His cloak appeared wrinkled and dirty. The areas around his eyes were stained red and puffy. His upper arms were decorated in nail marks from where he had hurt himself.
"You're back, Tobi," he muttered numbly. The taller man nodded slightly and stood in the dark room, watching his partner. The man accused looked away from where he sat on the bed and fixed his gaze to the floor. "...What did you do?" Tobi asked unsurely. Deidara froze in shock. "Morgan… didn't tell you?" Tobi paused before shaking his head no. Deidara pressed his fingers to his temples.
Finally, after several long minutes, Deidara admitted, "I've done something horrible." Tobi moved forward and sat on the bed beside Deidara. "Is that so? Would you mind telling me?" Deidara pressed his hands into his eyes and managed, "I kissed her. I just attacked her out of nowhere. I never even knew I wanted to kiss her. I just... assaulted her out of nowhere…"
Tobi appeared shocked a moment before demanding, "Did you bite her?" Deidara was stunned as he glanced to his hands. Tobi understood, placing a hand on Deidara's wrist. "She's hiding the marks from everyone. She claims she tried climbing the cliff and fell. She's not going to tell anyone about it." Deidara only looked pained. "This is all my fault. I hurt her. I felt marks on her. She isn't even mine."
A single Sharingan eye flashed and demanded, "So you don't know why you did it, eh?" Deidara glanced over and shook his head adamantly. Tobi sighed. "I knew this would happen sooner or later." "What? You knew what would happen?" Tobi sighed once more and answered, "I knew someone would try and take her from Itachi. I was going to guess Kisame, but he is much fonder of Madi. Sasori, if he had lived, might have. You, on the other hand, I never expected due to the business with Hidori."
Deidara cringed and raised his hands to clutch his head. "I know this doesn't have anything to do with Hidori. I was never even thinking of Hidori the whole mission." Tobi shifted closer, moving an arm around his shoulders. "Some people, such as you, suppress their feelings when they see another person with the one they love. The feelings don't seem there until something happens."
Deidara let his shoulders sink. "So... that's it? I'm in love with her?" "In my opinion, yes." Deidara pressed his face back into his hands as he groaned, "This is not right! I shouldn't feel this way. She loves Itachi and he loves her! I can't just toss this in now- I can't just mess up everything like this! I am ruining everything!"
Tobi stood, pressing his hand into Deidara's shoulder, and left with words said just loud enough to hear. "Imagine if you had Morgan instead of Itachi. Pretend that you had her. What would have changed? How would her past be different if you and she were together? What all would not have happened to her?" Deidara's eyes widened as he watches as his partner left the room. "If we were together…?"
...
Madara left the room with a small smirk plastered on his lips behind the safety of his mask. Everyone was different because of this girl. But this turn of events… this could really change things up. This could really get them stirred up… and he could not wait to see what would happen.
The man put on an air of a happy child and bounced into the living room and up to Itachi, who sat on the couch lost in thought. Tobi shouted gleefully, "Morgan was so weird on the way up here! I guess falling off of a cliff can do that to you!" He leaned over the back of the couch, flopping on the edge next to Itachi. "But since when do you get teeth-shaped marks on your shoulders when you fall? Haha! I bet the mountain bit her! Oh wait… I was supposed to go and get some food for Deidara… oh well!"
Madara watched as the look of shock and twisted bewilderment crosses the man's face. The Uchiha moved and began to walk, as quickly as possible without outright running, in the direction of Morgan's room.
Madara turned on his heel and whistled as he left the room, arms tucked behind his head and a satisfied smirk on his lips.
