A/N: As promised

Two months later:

Regina's back had been hurting all day. She'd tried to ignore it, but she'd finally given in and put some muscle relaxer on it. It didn't help. She also felt nauseous and overall weak. It would be just her luck to get the flu in her third trimester with twins.

Robin wanted her to stay in bed. This was one point where she didn't argue. She spent all day in bed, feeling the twins moving around inside of her. They were probably running out of room. They still had a bit longer to hold out. One of them kicked against the right side of her abdomen. Regina rubbed it gently.

"I brought you some tea." Robin slipped into the bedroom, setting a mug on the nightstand. "Do you feel up to some?" Regina nodded, picking up the mug.

"Thank you." She took a sip.

"Whale wants you to come see him tomorrow if you're not feeling better." She frowned at Robin.

"You called him?"

"Well, I just wanted some advice." Robin looked a bit guilty. "Can you blame him?"

She could not. Her blood pressure was too high. That was one fact that was not changing. All of the relaxation tips she had tried were failing. Whale had tried a low dosage of blood pressure medication, but it didn't seem to be doing much.

"I understand." She did, despite the fact that she was cranky. "I'm sorry, I'm just-."

"I know." He squeezed her hand. "You have not had it easy the past few months."

And it was going to get harder, but she would not say that.

"I'm going to try and get some sleep." Regina set her tea on the nightstand. "Maybe it'll help me."

"I can hope." Robin kissed her forehead. "But for now, I'll leave you in peace."

"Thanks." Regina settled back into her pillows. She dozed quickly as Robin closed the door behind him.

When she woke up next, the light coming in the windows indicated that it was nearly dark. Regina sat up. Her back still hurt. She even had a nagging pain in one arm. Heaving herself up, she pulled open the bedroom door.

"Robin?"

"Yes?" His footsteps moved to the bottom of the stairs.

"I'm going to take a shower." She rubbed her head, unable to shake off her haze.

"Ok." Robin hesitated. "Not too hot, ok?"

"Ok."

"And leave the door open...just in case?"

"Sure." Regina sighed heavily. She heard his footsteps moving away from the stairs.

Regina dragged herself back into the bathroom. She turned on the shower, testing the water to warm with her hand. She moved back to the counter, pulling open the medicine cabinet to find the thermometer. Her temperature was normal.

"Damn it." She muttered before pulling off her top.

The stream of warm water soothed her. Regina let her forehead rest on the tile. Idly, she reached over to rub her arm.

As she straightened up, her chest tightened. Regina pressed one hand to it. She felt short of breath...a bit light-headed.

"Robin?" She heard the word leave her lips in a breathless question. She thought she heard his footsteps on the stairs, but she'd already slipped to her knees. The water kept pouring down as she slumped back against the wall in unconsciousness.
