"Pietro Erik Maximoff. Friend. Brother. Avenger."

That was what his gravestone read. It was the first of what Nick Fury feared would be many gravestones in the New Avengers Facility. It was a singular object in an open, beautiful field, disturbed by nothing but the noise of a slight breeze. Standing in front of the tombstone was none other than Wanda Maximoff, who had a tear streaming down her face.

"I had a feeling I'd find you out here." Said Captain America, who Wanda knew was behind her.

"Where else would I be?" muttered Wanda, her voice breaking.

"I know what it's like. To lose someone you love."

She looked away from the tombstone for the first time and looked Steve in the eyes. "I know you do."

She then began breaking down crying, and flung herself into Captain America's arms, and he immediately embraced her. "I know we started off pretty rough, but in the end all of us would have done the same for your brother. Pietro was a hero, he was an Avenger."

Wanda gently pulled away from Steve and smiled a weak, yet meaningful smile.

"Now come on, we shouldn't keep the team waiting."

They then began walking away, with Steve's arm around her, comforting her. As they walk out of view, a flash of blue is seen and flowers are left on the ground in front of Pietro's grave.
