Soft Touches and Sweet Kisses

(A/N ** this is not bashing Sonia x Gundam or Sonia x Souda. However, if you are an avid fan of those pairings, you may not want to read this story. ** Also, this is set in a non-despair AU. Please enjoy!)

It would probably kill her if she knew, so Chiaki Nanami didn't tell her. The gamer girl simply kept her mouth shut, as she didn't want to break the princess's precious and fragile heart. Chiaki was one hundred percent sure that this Gundam Tanaka person was a Sonia's first crush. Then again, she did have doubts about it, as she really knew nothing about these people.

But that wasn't the point. The point was something that went unnoticed by Miss Sonia. It was something that couldn't and didn't need to see. Chiaki would see Sonia come skipping down the hall, Gundam and Souda following of course, both wearing their usual expressions: Gundam with a monotonous look on his face, and Souda with an unhappy frown on his. However, the two would be holding hands and because they were behind her, Sonia never saw. She also never noticed how Souda's battle for her over Gundam was starting to really lose it's fight and that his eyes had lost that envious fire they had usually contained. Gundam had also really stopped fighting back over Sonia and all he really did was say something that ended the conversation quickly, or distract Sonia with his hamsters. Minus the hand holding part, the argument dying down wasn't all that easy to see. Only Kirigiri-san and Komaeda-kun really noticed other than Chiaki. All three had agreed to not tell Miss Sonia.

Those things really weren't the problem. The problem, the gaming prodigy decided, was when Sonia was not in the room or the two weren't around her because then, something witnessed by a (snooping) Pekoyama Peko (who just couldn't help herself) and a (utterly disgusted) Kuzuryuu Fuyuhiko (who seemed a bit homophobic.

Chiaki got two different reports from both that day. In Peko's words, not Chiaki's, that, "The two had both arms wrapped around another, Gundam seemed to be taking the lead while Souda seemed as if he were the one submitting. Small whispery gasps could be heard form Souda. The two were most definitely "making out".

After Chiaki listened to Peko-san's rant about how she wanted to stay and see if it escalated but was figuratively pulled away by her "bocchan" duties, she got it from Fuyuhiko-san who described it as, "Dudes were doing some gay f****** up s*** that I had no time for."

And so, even with enough evidence to backup this whole case about Gundam and Souda being lovers behind Sonia's back, Chiaki still kept to herself (and Kirigiri-san and Komaeda-kun) the evidence and the risk of breaking Sonia's heart. She would die if she saw the soft touches and sweet kisses going on between the two.
