I. Falling Asleep
Baltor hated Disney movies.
They'd only been living on Earth for a few months, but he was certain that the Disney movies that Bloom was forcing him to watch that night were absolute blasphemy. And the fact that she had sprawled across his lap, leaving him stuck on the couch unable to turn the movie off was a living hell for him.
How many of these can there be?
So far she'd made him suffer through three, and Baltor hadn't found the mermaid, the flying child, or the blonde girl who talked to mice amusing. He didn't understand how she found the animated movies as charming as she did. The chipper demeanors of the characters made him want to knock himself out with a Dragon Blast.
"Surely this can't go on for much longer," he muttered, running a hand down his face. His patience was running thin with the annoying talking snowman on the television.
He desperately began searching for the box the disc was held in, wanting to see just how long this movie was. If it was anything like the others, it couldn't be too far from the end. He couldn't use his magic to alter the length of it, knowing it would possibly cause permanent damage to the disc; therefore, resulting in a very pissed off redhead.
Barely glancing down at the girl on his lap, Baltor instantly froze.
Bloom was in the same position she'd been in all night, stretched out on the couch, cheek pressed against his leg, but that wasn't what caught his attention. The wide awake blue eyes he'd been staring at not ten minutes earlier were shut, not catching a single second of what was on the screen. Her lips were slightly parted, letting the sound of a barely-there snore escape.
She was asleep.
Baltor shook his head in disbelief. The Dragon Fire fairy had been hellbent on prying him away from the spell books he'd smuggled with him so she could get him to watch these movies with her, and here she was dead asleep.
Despite his disbelief that she'd fallen asleep, he couldn't complain. He couldn't help but feel entranced when he looked at her sleeping face. She'd fallen asleep in his arms so many times before, he'd committed certain details to memory –the two freckles on her left cheek, the faint scar on her jawline, the way her brow would sometimes furrow, how she always ended up murmuring something in her sleep that she most likely should not be murmuring in her sleep. Brushing his fingers against her cheek, he carefully directed a loose strand of hair behind her ear. She barely moved, only momentarily clutching his pant leg tighter.
Honestly, he should've expected Bloom to fall asleep.
He'd found her passed out on the couch multiple times in the past week. He couldn't blame her. Baltor would be half dead, too, if he had to teaching classes to annoying freshmen fairies at Alfea for seven hours five days a week. Trying to get her to take a break and sleep during the week was an impossible feat, so if watching a few movies on Saturday night to lull her into sleep was what he had to do then he'd do it.
Of course, Baltor would've changed his mind if he'd known just what a Disney movie was.
Scanning his eyes further down, he couldn't help but catch sight of her slightly raised t-shirt. He lightly ran his fingers across the exposed skin, a small smirk crossing his face when they traced the barely noticeable curve -one of the more important reasons why she needed to rest. (And it's why he should probably start getting used to watching these ridiculous movies.)
And trying to turn off the movie will only wake her up.
With a small sigh, he returned to his lax position, continuing to stroke her hair.
Maybe another hour or so of Disney wasn't so bad.
Yaay! Welcome to my very first assortment of one-shots/drabbles!
I don't know how frequently this will get updated; it all depends on when I get these random ideas and how quickly I can get them written. They'll also mainly be posted during chapter breaks of my story Broken Pieces (if you haven't read that yet, you should totally go check it out, and, yes, that was a shameless plug). Yes, they are typically rather short; they're mostly like little blurbs of story, which make drabbles really convenient. There won't be any set story line either, unless in the chapter you see the phrase Part 1, then the next installment will be Part 2 to that drabble, but that will be very rarely. But the best part is that there is technically no end! They'll just keep going on forever!
Some of these will be random, but some of these can come from YOU, as well! If you have an idea for what you would like to see in a Sparxshipping drabble, PM me or leave in a review a certain scenario you'd like to see or something simple like "Sparxshipping fluff" , "Evil Baltor,", or "Sparxshipping smut" (Just as a warning, I will only do smut if it is in great demand and if I am convinced enough. It is still up in the air for me. And if I do end up doing a smut drabble for you guys, the rating will jump up to M.) or anything like that, I will take all of your suggestions into great consideration, and, who knows, you just might see it on here!
Anyway, if you would be oh-so kind to leave a lovely little review in the review box down below, I would greatly appreciate it and I will see you all very soon!
