Kingdom Hearts 4: New Light

Excerpt from the journal of Jiminy Cricket:

"I can hardly believe that twenty years have gone by. It feel like such a short time ago, we defeated Xehanort and restored balance to the worlds. Where did the time go?

It's been strange seeing people we've known since they were teenagers grow up. Sometimes it's hard to see them as anything but the young friends we knew back then. However, things have to change.

It looked as if everything would stay perfect, until 5 years ago. At that time, someone or something, did something and put a barrier around every single world. Whatever world you were on at the time, you were stranded. Thankfully, most everyone was on their homeworld when it happened; however, Riku and his family were here, in Disney Town. They've had to stay here since then.

We didn't know how long this barrier would last and, as the years passed, we wondered if it would ever leave. But, last night, the barrier broke off and the worlds became connected once more.

Is it a coincidence that this happened the night of the twenty-year anniversary of Xehanort's defeat? I do not know…

All I do know is, that now that the worlds are connected again, things can only go uphill from here…
