Detective Miles Cheng left his father's benefit and prepared to drive his father home. His father could still drive, for the most part, but Miles wanted to make sure his father got home safely. He'd had a good time with Daniel Widmore and that woman Charlotte. Daniel and Charlotte seemed to have hit it off. Miles had recently tried to fix Charlotte up with his partner, detective James Ford, but James screwed that up. There was something oddly familiar about being around Daniel and Charlotte, but nothing that Miles could put his finger on. As Miles was walking towards his car he saw James, with a blonde woman who called herself "Juliet." She and James seemed pretty happy, he seemed to have gotten over Charlotte.

.

James: Hey Miles, just needed to see you before we left. This here is Juliet, the love of my life, more than one actually.

Miles: I'm happy for you. Where exactly are you going?

James: I can't really say.

Miles: Are you being transferred, something classified?

James: It's classified all right. I hope to tell you about it someday.

Miles: I'll miss you, this is really short notice.

James: Sorry about that, it happens when it happens. I just wanted you to know, you were right. I had to let go of my anger, focus on love, like Juliet.

Miles: I thought you two just met.

James: She and I have a complicated history, but we're together now. I'll see you later.

Miles: Take care James.

James: You two.

.

As James and Juliet walked away Miles had to admit this was oddly familiar. It appeared to him that an old girlfriend of James had talked him into an undercover mission. Good for him, at least he had someone.
