||Back at it again the four swords manga. I think I used that joke already? Anyways, So, this chapter might be a little bit short as well, but at least that makes it a bit easier for me to write this crap lol. Sorry for the cliff hanger!||
Green quickly hopped to his feet as his father held his sword with anticipations of not sparing his life. None of them knew what was going on. Not even Vio, who would usually be on top of this kind of thing. The knight angrily called out to Green.
"You DARE disguise yourself as him? Prepare to die, you cursed demon. I will end you right where you stand!" He yelled.
The other and Green didn't know what to do. So much so they were in shock and stood there and wondered what in the world was happening. He saw that he would have no choice... but to fight his own father. He took out his sword, and readied it at the controlled Nobel knight. Unfortunately, he wasn't nearly as skilled as the older man. The knight swing at Green, who did manage to protect himself with his sword, but it also knocked him down, causing him to fall on his rear end rally hard. Bloo, Red Vio, and Gold didn't know what to do. As Red and Gold helped Green to his feet, the others tried to reason with their father.
"D-Dad, it's us!" Red cried out.
"We're not monsters, you know." Gold said, holding onto Green's arm as she held him up.
"We're Link!" Bloo yelled as well, but no answer was heard.
" I wont let ANY of you pass. Even in exchange for my own life. the father of the heroes growled at them, aiming his sword at them.
This really threw them all for a loop. They could have sworn they all just yelled that they weren't monsters or any evil beings of the sort. This left them scratching their heads and they all glanced at each other.
"Hm.. He can't hear a thing we're saying. Guys, I think he's probably being controlled by some kind of evil!" Vio called out to the rest of them.
They all backed up, and found themselves against the foot of the staircase to the door they couldn't get through earlier. It was clear that Vio was right, he was definitely being influenced by some kind of evil. They just had to get him to snap out of it. And fast, because of course, time was definitely against them. Red hid behind Bloo a bit, scared, out of his mind.
"I-I don't wanna fight DAD! At this state, he could probably kill us!" he whined.
"And this is especially bad because we've never won against him before.." Gold trailed off, looking around to find a way to avoid fighting.
"We've never won against him, sure, but if you think about it, that only comes to when it's one on one. If we can actually find a way to work together, then we'll probably have a good chance!" Bloo piped, looking back at the two of them, with a confident wink.
Gold and Red looked at each other confused for a moment. they then giggled at each other. This sudden type of behavior from Bloo almost made them wonder if he too was under some sort of mind control.
"Alright, so it's settled. Maybe if we attack all at once , that could do some sort of damage to him. We need to at least try to get the blade out of his hands!" Vio yelled.
"ALRIGHT!" Everyone else yelled rather enthusiastically.
While all this was happening, the knight slowly approached the five, his sword in hand.
"Okay. We're gonna have to do a spin attack. Remember. It's the one we did when we first encountered Vaati when he was a rock monster. It's one of the most powerful things when we can do when we're altogether. Let's get in formation. On my word, we run and attack, quickly."
The others took pride in how well Green was leading them. He had come a long way from just wanting to work alone, to actually understanding that being alone isn't always for the best. His character had become so much greater and stronger from this whole adventure. It filled everyone else with courage. Smoothly, they formed a 'V'. Green was in the front. Red and Bloo next to each other behind him. And Gold and Vio behind Red and Bloo, spread a bit farther apart. This was the most effective way to do a spin attack they agreed, as they could all cover more ground and attack easily.
"Alright, guys. We've only got one shot at this."
"GO!"
Quickly, they all began to sprint towards their father, and leaped high in the air, surrounding him. Unfortunately, this guy had other plans, and being defeated easily wasn't one of them. He did a counter attack, spinning the opposite direction of spinning as they did, and almost completely threw them off. His sword collided with all of theirs and sent the five of them flying backwards in different directions. the fathers' eyes sharpened as he looked around, deciding which one of the Links he should kill first.
"D-Damn.. This is pretty bad." Bloo stuttered, trying to get up from such a blow.
"It's even worse because he's become stronger from accumulating so much dark power.." Vio said, staggering to his feet.
"Y-You must fight, Link!" Someone suddenly cried out to get the groups attention.
Their eyes widened, and they all turned around at looked towards the top of the staircase that led to they locked door they couldn't get through. There, right at the top of the steps, it was her! Princess Zelda! She weakly leaned against the door, trying to gain at least some of the strength she needed to encourage them. Although they wondered how she got there and what was behind the door, they were glad to see that she was okay none the less. She lost the bit of strength she seemed to posses before, and fell to her knees.
"P-Princess!" Green yelled, instantly running to her aid.
The rest of the group followed, leaving the father of them standing there, awaiting his return so he could finish them off. Once they reached Zelda, the surrounded her, checking for any injuries and to see if she was alright. Bloo and Vio helped her slowly to her feet, steadying her.
"L-Link!" She coughed, trying to get her words through. "Y-You father has become under the control of Vaati! He's completely turned into a monster!" She cried. "The only way to truly stop him... Is to defeat him..." She trailed off.
Green staggered back. Was she for real? Kill his own father to save him from being controlled by an evil wind sorcerer.
"N-no way..." Bloo stuttered with disbelief.
Zelda began to weep softly, slowly resting the palm of her hand on top of Greens'.
"Link... you must save Hyrule..." She said softly.
Green growled. He turned to look at his father who was under control, and sprinted back down the stair to face him, his sword gripped tightly in hand. The rest followed, leaving Zelda at the top of the staircase to watch them fight after she said she would be fine.
"What are you doing, Green?" Gold yelled to her best friend, watching him about to make one of the worst decisions of his life, ever.
Green sounded uneasy. So much so his hands were trembling, cause the four sword to do so as well.
"We'll be killed if we go to soft on him." Green said firmly. "I'M GONNA USE AS MUCH FORCE AGAINST HIM AS I CAN!" He yelled, aiming his sword at the man that gave him life.
"G-Green, you can't!" Red screamed. I-If you do, you'll shatter dad to bits!"
Vio intervened, reaching from behind Green and grabbing him sternly by his shoulder.
"Green. Don't you SEE? This is EXACTLY what Vaati wants." Vio said, hoping to get the original to calm down a bit.
Green was clearly unphased and still had intentions of killing his own father.
"They enjoy watching us kill each other." Vio continued. "Just like how Shadow kept laughing during our battle against each other. There's another way out of this. We just haven't found it yet."
Zelda looked from the top of the stairs at Vio and Green as they spoke to one another. She couldn't hear what they were saying but she wondered. Green semmed to ease up a bit. He looked behind him to his other self and spoke rather softly to Vio.
"I'm aware of that. But we all can't just sit here and die." He replied. "I'm sorry guys, we have to do this. for the sake of Hyrule."
Bloo growled at the leader.
"Dad..." Green whispered to himself, almost about to attack the knight.
But before he could actually do anything, he was trucked to the ground by of course, Bloo. Green landed harshly on the hard cold pavement of the wind palace, looking up at his short tempered counterpart like he was some sort of madman.
"Bloo, what the fuck!" Green yelled, trying to find the strength to get up.
"THIS GUY IS OBVIOUSLY A FAKE!" Bloo snarled at his father, his sword pointed confidently at the knight.
suddenly Bloo closed his eyes, and turned around to smile at Green as he lay on the floor.
"This isn't a job that can be done by a softy!" He winked.
"A-Always doing things the dirty way.." Green chuckled softly, watching Bloo about to spar with their father.
Something happened. Bloos' sword began to glow. He smirked confidently, aiming it right for the light. It was almost like when they fought the rock monster in the shadow realm, or when they defeated shadow. Concentrating that energy from the sword, a bright beam of light sprung from the tip of the sword, blasting and brightening the entire area from within. It flew right through the torso of their father, impaling him on the spot. Cries of pain and agony escaped his mouth as he was thrown back, and landed on the ground, thick dark red blood seeping from his lower abdomen as it spread on the floor as he lay on his back. No one could do anything but stare. Did they just kill their own father? Bloo of of course, was rushed with emotions instantly, tears tailed down his cheeks. Fake or not, he was still their father.
" D-DAD! H-He wasn't a fake!" Green screamed, watching his father fall to the floor.
And with that, everyone rushed around him, circling him in. They didn't care how much o his blood got on their hands and knees. They begged for him to acknowledge them, not as monsters, but as his kids, who he'd raised all on his own.
"D-Dad, it's us! Please wake up!" Red cried softly, shaking his father's shoulder.
They looked to Zelda as she sat on the top of the stairs. From the look on her face, there was nothing she could do to help them. She too, felt the same way they did at this time. There was nothing. Silence. Gold reached own, and placed her hand on the top of the father's helmet. Suddenly, his eyes shot open. They all jumped back, uncertain of what was going to happen. Except Green, who was so glad to see his father alive. He bowed his head, letting his feathered hair fall in front of his face.
"F-Father.. We're so sorry... Please, forgive us.." He sobbed softy.
It sounded like he was trying to reply. Exasperated moans and grunts escaped from his mouth. If only Green was looking up, he'd be able to see that the Nobel Knight was holding two small daggers. Bloo, Red, Gold, and Vio gasped and attempted to warn Green, but they were too late. The knight, quickly came down with one of the the daggers in his hand.. and stabbed...
his leg?
Surely this was a mistake. Everyone was simply confused and scared. Green looked up, and shrieked, as he saw what his father had done. And Gold did the same, upon seeing where the other dagger was. She pointed and everyone looked at Zelda, who's forehead was oozing blood from the other wound of the dagger, which was speared perfectly through the middle of her head piece, which penetrated into her head entirely.
"Z-Zelda!" The group screamed.
What in the world was happening here? Zelda didn't even appear to be surprised. Which was extremely strange. Why wasn't she screaming or at least the slightest bit concerned or scared for the fact that there was literally a knife sticking out of her forehead? She appeared to be glaring at the boys' father. The Nobel knight, smirked at the princess. And, suddenly fainted. Luckily, Bloo and Green were quick to catch him, and hull him against the wall where he lay unconscious for the time being. They were now positive that he was no longer trying to kill them, so they went to go help Zelda. They turned to look up to her, as she stood rather firmly at the top of the staircase. Something told them not to run up there and help her. She sighed angrily, slowly pulling the blade from her forehead, and tossing it aside, a small trail of blood trickling down her forehead.
"Tsk tsk tsk." The princess slowly walked down the stairs to greet them.
"This was supposed to be the perfect plan to ERASE you fools." She growled angrily.
"Why didn't my plan work?" She whispered loudly, taking another loud step own the staircase.
"That's okay, my loves. I have another plan. And with this on, you'll all surely DIE." She cackled relentlessly, growing more and more sadistic with each second that passed.
The five stared back. Zelda looked up with red crimson eyes and a devilish smile, similar to Shadow. She hunched over, grunting and growling, almost like trying to aggressively put a shoe on. Suddenly, big large dark purple wings tore from her back. The sound of ripping flesh and tearing cloth could be heard as she did this. It was very unpleasant to the ears of the Hylians. They stared in horror as seeming the princess seemingly melted. Out of the body of the princess, it was him. The sorcerer Vaati slowly rose from the body in his demon form, spreading his large dark purple wings with a wicked laugh, causing the five to recoil a little.
"So, YOU'RE the one that's behind all this!" Bloo yelled, pointing at the great sorcerer with a soft growl.
"There's no time for that!" Green yelled, trying to make his voice heard over the sound of the large beating wings of Vaati.
"Quick! Get into a circle!" He called out to the other four.
Everyone ran to their places, except for Vio. Gold slowly walked up to him, and noticed that he had a small surprised smile on his face. Not from being genuinely happy, but like he was tricked. It would appear that he was scolding himself for not noticing anything in the first place. Oh well. Gold pulled him into his place. and the five were ready to attack. But Vaati was already a few steps ahead of them.
"That wont work on me!" He cackled, spreading his large wings and beating them, sending extremely large gusts of wind down at the heroes.
The shielded their faces, and blocked the strong winds as best as they could, trying to keep their ground. Speaking of the ground, the wind was blowing so hard, it began to crumble underneath them. Chunks and chunks of the palace floor broke from under them until they were standing on a small pillar, all five of them and their father, who was still unconscious. Backing up so they wouldn't fall to their deaths. small whimpers came from Red as he just wanted to go home. Suddenly, there was a really bright light! Vaati recoiled and grunted, shying away from the bright light that hurt his large eye. Four important looking beings slowly floated down from the heavens, surrounding the links, linkette, and their father.
"We are Hyrule's noble knights." One of them said, with a powerful looking sword in hand.
"We have finally been released from the evil clutches of darkness." Another said, with the strongest looking armor throughout Hyrule.
"We will help you all, and give your swords the power it needs to defeat the sorcerer." The third one said, bowing slightly.
"But first, you're going to need these." the last one smirked, opening his hand to reveal what looked like that thing hanging around Green's neck.
It was a jewel key! the four nights each handed one to Red, Bloo, Vio, and Gold, and with a nod, slowly motioned their hands to the staircase that would take them further up the tower. Luckily it had not been destroyed along with the ground from Vaati's rage fit.
"Go." the first night said. "We will protect your father from this point on, and make sure you get to where you need to go safely. Do not worry about him, he is in good hands."
they nodded. And quickly, made their way up the stairs and o the door they were now finally able to access. Suddenly stopping, they out their keys, the five of them, and watched them float towards the door, and into small groves that fit their specific color. Something the heroes didn't notice was there before. There was a cloud click. And finally. The doors slowly creaked open, letting them through. While they all rushed in, Green lingered behind, looking back. He saw three of the knights fighting Vaati, and one tending to their father. Once Vaati noticed that they had opened the door, he hissed loudly, quickly flying up, and away to get away from the noble knights that had actually done a number on him. The four of them looked at him with confident smiles.
"Go on, young one. he is safe. Go save Hyrule."
And with that, green went to join the rest of him, and his best friend. The door they came through had led them out of the wind palace. it was unexpectedly bright, though there was nothing around them but dark could and some more large decorated pillars and towers that were apart of the wind palace. Huge flashes of lightning tore through the sky as they covered their ears from the booming sounds of the thunder.
"This...? Is the top of the heavens?"Green said in dismay.
"That doesn't matter! Vaati must have corrupted it somehow! We've gotta defeat him. And fast. Let's wrap this up in one blow, guys!" Bloo said confidently.
Vio looked around peacefully as if everything were okay." We're forgetting something. Something important. For Hylia's sake I can't remember what it is though."
"Vio, you're probably just tired." Red said.
Suddenly, the small strip of ground they stood on began to shake. While the four boys were getting awfully disoriented, Gold simply began to hover slightly above the ground with her Pegasus boots. Slowly the wind sorcerer rose from the cliff they were all about to fall off of. His large red eye plastered onto the five of them, filled with rage. The shaking stopped, and the links found themselves able to fight once more. The evil being cackled.
"You know... I must applaud you all for making it this far. But your fate has been decided. It CANNOT BE CHANGED!"
And with that, they all quickly readied themselves for battle. this was gonna be the last one. And they were sure they were about to win it.
