Okay, I tried to do this, I really did, but I can't do it anymore.

I've lost all inspiration for this story. Not that I don't know where I want it to go (on the contrary, I know everything from beginning to end), but I don't feel like writing it. I know that I promised I would keep writing but I can't. It's torturous to keep doing something I don't like and enjoy. It feels more like a chore than a pastime like it used to. I tried to keep writing yesterday, and I've managed to write 1000 words, but they felt… bland and raw. And I had to worry about my studies, because my grades are terrible right now.

I'm sorry. I won't be writing this story anymore, and I hope you can forgive me one day. However, I would never let you guys in the dark. This is why I'll give you guys my best abridged version of what will happen in Cipher Secret.

. . .

Danna and Dipper roam around some more until Danna remembers about the feather's existence (she'd taken it before throwing her old clothes away), and the pattern indicates it belongs to Kalisha. One of the corbos finds their location out and warns the other corbos, which prepare for an attack. Daniel and Asaph are faster and find them, but now they're lost as well (cheers). The corbos strike, and one of them scratches Dipper's back. Kalisha tells Daniel and Asaph to get Pura, but they're just like "what?" because they're just as lost as the others. Kalisha gets angry at Danna for being a traitor, in her words, and uses her soul-eating powers. Worked up over everything, Dipper finally summons a shield and prevents the attack from hitting Danna, and it (the attack) aims towards the sky instead. The mentors see Kalisha's beam and head towards it. Kalisha scolds Danna for siding with 'the murderer', and seems like she's ready to try a new strategy, but is attacked by Bill, who tells Archimicarus to take the apprentices to the castle as Dipper breaks the shield he summoned.

Once the apprentices are safe and sound and traumatized, their mentors give them a long rant about leaving the castle, and asked whose idea it was. Dipper tells them it was him, and Danna jumps to his defense, saying he must've been sleepwalking. The other mentions are skeptical, but Bill gives them the benefit of the doubt. They go to sleep and Bill tells his siblings he thinks Dipper may have been possessed. The children wake up, absolutely miserable (because hangover) and with barely any memories of what had happened the day before. Danna, however, remembers a few things, and asks Dipper about Kalisha's feather. Dipper just groans and tells her he'll deal with it later.

The days pass in the nightmare realm as the apprentices train and develop their powers. No matter how much they try, Daniel and Dipper can't find their special abilities. Danna already has hers under control, and is quite good at it, actually. A few days before they leave, the mentors give their apprentices a day off. While walking through the city, they encounter Gazelle and Maria. The two invite them to the library and they accept. While there, they go to an abandoned corner and ask them if they want to know about Bill's son. The others are hesitant, but accept anyway. Gazelle pauses for a second and starts the tale. "His name was Amadeus Cipher…" She dramatically starts, and tells his tale.

Amadeus Cipher was the child of a demon, Bill Cipher, and an angel, Azalea. Their love story was similar to Romeo and Juliet: two opposites meet and fall in love. Azalea ends up pregnant with Bill's child and is banished from heaven, ending up as a demon instead. Bill takes her to the castle and, because she's a demon, is accepted and the child is taken care of. Once the baby is born, the two promise to take care of him, but, because he was conceived while Azalea was still an angel, he is half-demon and half-angel, or, more specifically, a Fallen Angel (or Enlightened Demon, both terms work).

Amadeus was very powerful albeit very sweet. One day, while exploring the forest, he finds a prism, and, thinking it's beautiful, puts it on. That's when, a few days later, he starts to hear a voice, a small voice telling him that he could have much more power than he already had. Being young and naïve, Amadeus accepted. It was small at first. He'd lure in other children to the forest and suck their powers out. Nobody suspected the prince of hell, the most loveable demon to exist, would do such a thing. Once he was done with the children, and as he grew older, he moved onto adults. He started to wish for more power. He wanted to be the most powerful being to exist. He started to move onto more powerful beings, such as the three dreambenders, Ariadne, Athena, and Arachne. Athena and Arachne managed to escape, but he sucked Ariadne's power and trapped her.

That's when he realized his mother, Azalea, was starting to realize his changes. He couldn't risk it. Amadeus took her to a field of soul flowers, known to grant a wish to those who deserved them, and killed her with a special gun made for demons. Betrayed and heartbroken, Azalea grasped one soul flower and wished to be transformed into one of the guardians of the labyrinth, Ariadne, who was bound to be trapped there forever, or until Amadeus was killed. Amadeus slowly became Arken, the most powerful fallen angel, and moved from adult demons to other fallen angels, who had more power than a normal demon or angel. He had killed them both for their power and because no one could be as powerful as him. The demon council discovered what he had done, and ordered to kill him. Bill couldn't do it, so Keehnesi offered to kill him, but he couldn't either, so he sent Amadeus to a place where he'd suffer forever.

"That's all we know for now…" Maria spoke up, and the apprentices go back to the castle. Asaph wonders if that's why Keehnesi re-named himself 'traitor'. He asks Daniel if he'd come with him to ask, and Daniel accepts. Once they're in the castle, they encounter Archimicarus, who asks to talk to Asaph in private. Asaph tells Daniel to go to their room and that he'd go soon. Once the two are alone, Archimicarus asks about the necklace he'd found on the floor, and Asaph thanks him, saying it was from his mother. Archimicarus nods, asking if he ever knew his father. Asaph says he didn't, and they leave it at that. That's when the gears in the boy's head start turning and he pauses. "Maybe I shouldn't ask…" He murmurs, going back to his room.

Dipper starts getting night terrors. Deaths, screams, torture… He couldn't stop it. He grabs his book and starts reading it, hoping to find a solution, to stop the guilt (why was he feeling guilty anyways?), but he can't. That's when a voice in the back of his head laughs, asking "what's the matter?" Dipper yelps in surprise and drops the book. "Stop playing your games, you're not real," he says, more to himself than to the voice, which laughs and responds, "Oh, I am very real." He doesn't know why it's there. "And I'm sure you're wondering what your connection to Amadeus Cipher is." Dipper scoffs, says "I don't have a connection with him", goes to pick the book up and pauses. It had fallen in a specific page, a page whose title read 'reincarnations'.

The voice cackles. "There's something you don't know."

Dipper spent the next day avoiding everyone. They decide to ignore him for the time being. Danna ponders on her crush on him, and why Dipper's so similar to Hyuu, an old imaginary friend who had helped her overcome her shyness. She decides to forget about it. Asaph tells Daniel he thinks Archimicarus might be his father. Their conversation starts to change and Daniel tells Asaph to ask him and be subtle.

The rest of their days in the Nightmare Realm are spent training some more. Asaph never gathered enough courage to ask Archimicarus. Bill and his siblings take the children to the Mystery Shack, but not before giving them a perfect replica of their old clothes. Mabel and her friends find Dipper and the other apprentices, and she asks him about them. Dipper lies and says he found them while walking around. Mabel accepts this as truth and asks if he wasn't grounded. Dipper panics and asks her to not tell anyone. She just giggles and nods.

From now on most of them follow Dipper and Mabel through their adventures. Danna's with Dipper on Northwest Mansion Mystery, the twins are with them on Soos and The Real Girl, etc etc. Danna spends the night with Dipper and Mabel because of a sleepover (she also brought a rope to play Cowboy or something). Mabel wakes them up to show them a room full of fireworks and the whole episode starts. Stan is caught by the government, the kids (including Danna) are taken, they manage to escape, watch the tapes, find the vending machine and are now accompanied by Soos. The main problem is when they try to stop it. Dipper stays by the machine while his sister tries to reason with their great uncle. Once the waiting time is over, everything starts to float, and Dipper is the one near the button.

Arken tells him to press it, and he does.

But it doesn't work. The machine malfunctions and starts to work with double the power, sucking Dipper into the portal. The voice laughs, telling Dipper "thank you for cooperating with me". Panicking, Danna grabs the rope she'd brought and uses her gravity-altering powers to bring herself down. She tells Dipper to hold onto it, and he does. Once everything is over, with Dipper safe and sound, they discover the author of the journals, the brothers tell their tale, the whole thing. Danna was thankful that they had forgotten about her powers and stuff. Dipper, however, is confused, because the voice, the dreams, everything- they all disappear.

Mabel and the others find out, however, once they go on an adventure to find a unicorn. C-Beth is oddly suspicious of Danna. When she tries to attack Mabel for stopping the others from cutting her hair, Danna loses control and attacks C-Beth, almost killing her. She apologizes to Mabel and the others, saying she understands if they don't want to be friends anymore, but they forgive her.

Dipper, Asaph and Ford go on an adventure while Mabel plans their 13th birthday. After Ford is taken by the droid, the two go after him using their wings. Asaph realizes Dipper's wings went from white to black and white. They stop the droid, and Dipper unconsciously destroys one while using his powers. Ford wasn't awake to see it, however, and thinks he just used his courage. Dipper doesn't try to correct him. Once they arrive at the Mystery Shack, Mabel asks him about the prism and if he knows anything about it. Dipper starts to feel dizzy and horrible, and tries to escape Mabel, but she grabs his shirt, accidentally ripping it apart.

That's when she sees Bill's symbol on Dipper's back.

Dipper panics even more, and escapes to the Nightmare Realm. The others manage to follow him. He goes through the barrier while Stan and Ford do not. Bill arrives at that exact moment, asking what the hell was happening, and the two older Pines are ready to kill him. Mabel seems heartbroken, and Bill tells them about his deal with Dipper. When they're about to threaten each other some more, the ground starts shaking and they hear an explosion. The barrier falters for a moment. Keehnesi rushes to Bill and tells him the first stone was destroyed. Apparently hell had three stones, and they were the reason the barrier was up. If the three were destroyed, hell would be destroyed as well.

Dipper and Bill rush to the castle, and Mabel goes after them. Keehnesi chuckles. "Stop, child, only demons can go through-"

Mabel goes right through the barrier, and everyone pauses, aghast. They take Dipper and Mabel to the castle, where the other apprentices were. One of the soldiers informs them that Arken Cipher was back, and he was attacking them. Dipper decides to tell them he might be Amadeus' reincarnation, because it might be useful. Everyone is shocked, but they don't have time to stare. Keehnesi speculates he might've affected Mabel in the womb, and maybe she has demon essence in her as well. The soldiers are attacking Arken with all of their might, but they can't hit him, because Arken's special ability is Illusion. Dipper realizes this might be why his wings were white before (Arken did it so no one would suspect he might've been a reincarnation). As it turns out, Dipper is half-human and half-fallen angel (so, one third human). His eyes were now yellow because he started using his powers (and thus 'awakening' his true self).

Bill, Beatrice and Keehnesi go outside and lock the children with one of the maids (they also prevent them from teleporting). The four of them start to think of a plan to escape, and Daniel has an idea. He grabs his sack with the pills and the children trick the maid into drinking it. Once she's unconscious, they grab the key she was holding and unlock the door. They find themselves in absolute chaos.

The fight lasts a few hours. The apprentices try to fight, but they're weak and unexperienced and easily lose. Arken tries to kill Dipper with a special attack that aims towards his heart, and, for a moment, everyone thinks he's really dead, but the key Quentin Trembley gave him saved his life. It was made of silver, and silver cancels all demon attacks. Dipper asks why they don't use silver as shields, but apparently demons are very allergic to it, and if they come near large quantities they die. The key didn't kill Bill once he approached Dipper because it wasn't that large.

Despite all warnings, Danna was foolish enough to try and attack Arken again. He uses the same attack he used on Dipper against her. Quite unfortunately, he succeeded, and Daniel was by her side when she turned to dust. He tries to go against Arken himself, but the fallen angel uses another attack and sends him to the hospital. Once he wakes up, he can't see anything. He's blind. Arken blinded him. He's devastated. Jack apologizes, saying she can't do anything. Asaph stays with him. Taking a leap of faith, Daniel reveals his crush for him, because he has nothing else to lose, after all. Asaph laughs and says he's felt the same way for a while. The two talk everything out (no romance because they're in the middle of a war, obviously) and go outside even against their mentors' orders.

Asaph tells him to stay there because he has an idea. He goes to his room and grabs the sword Ariadne gave to them, Pura, and teleports back to where Daniel was. Daniel says he feels weird because he can SEE Asaph, but in a weird shape. Asaph asks him if he can see the shape of the trees, and Daniel says yes, but, unlike the trees, Asaph's shape had a small light on it. Asaph tells him his special ability could be seeing other things' souls and has an idea. He asks Daniel to tell him via telepathy where Arken, who's using his illusion abilities to fool the army, is, based on his soul. Daniel agrees. Asaph, with Daniel's help, manages to stab Arken with Pura, who falls in a field of soul flowers. Archimicarus scolds Asaph for his reckless attitude, but also congratulates him for killing Arken. Asaph asks if he's really his father and Archimicarus freezes, not knowing how to respond to that.

One of the soldiers rushes to them, telling him that there was only one stone left. He also says Lucifer had been killed.

They're about to check and see if it's true when a shadow looms over them. It turns out they hadn't killed Arken. They had only separated Amadeus from Lucifer's old second-in-command who had betrayed him during the war, Kairus, and a new war starts. Kairus destroys the third stone and hell breaks loose. He goes towards Gravity Falls. Stan and Ford were still by the barrier, watching everything in horror. Everyone follows Kairus. More secrets are revealed. It turns out Candy was Karma, Kalisha's younger sister, and they were both Espers (who could also be demons' apprentices). Candy wants to help them defeat Kairus but has no idea how to control her powers. Azalea, who was disguised as Ariadne, says she will try and help. Maria and Gazelle, who were Athena and Arachne, the dreambenders, agree to do the best they can.

Amadeus grasped a soul flower and wished for one more chance to redeem himself. He comes back and helps the others kill Kairus by stabbing it in its soul, and, because Amadeus and Kairus were connected together, Amadeus dies as well, but not before telling Dipper to be better than him. The town hadn't been completely destroyed, so fixing it would be somewhat easy. At the end of the summer, the twins have their birthday and Dipper decides to go with his sister, even when Bill told him he could be much more powerful. Dipper promises to never tell anyone, saying this would be their Cipher Secret.

In the prologue, Daniel is visiting his sister's grave, telling him he wished he could invite her to his and Asaph's marriage, and that he misses her deeply.

. . .

I know, it's really shitty. It was much better in my mind but it was really rushed and I couldn't cover everything. Again, I'm very sorry, but I can't write this anymore.

Sorry.

EDIT: I forgot to mention Dipper's special ability is Jikan Fecit (ability to time travel), which is why he could see Arken's execution that one time.

EDIT 2: Yes, you guys can do alternative endings and have permission to use all of my OCs
