Author's Notes: At last, the next chapter. Enjoy.

Korra, Bolin, and Lin slowly rolled up to an enormous warehouse. It sat adjacent to most of the docks, and was approximately 6 stories tall. Korra stood up in the vehicle and glared up and down at the compound "Is this it?"

"That place is huge" Bolin exclaimed in awe. "How are we supposed to find them in there?"

"One room at a time if that's what it takes" Korra riley responded. She proceeded to jump out and stretch. There was no telling what they would find in there, but Korra knew for near certainty there will be a fight waiting for them once they opened the door.

"Bolin, I have to ask you a question" Lin more declared than asked of him.

"Ugh, okay. What is it?" Bolin responded still looking up at the building not really paying attention.

Lin got right next to his ear so he could hear her clearly, and she pointed upwards. "Do you believe Asami, Mako, and Reran are in that building in some form of physical harm or danger?"

This got his attention and he glanced back at her puzzled. "We pretty much know they are right? I mean that's what the guy in the alley said."

Letting out a deep exhale, Lin pinched the bridge of her nose. "Just answer the question knucklehead."

"Yes, I do believe they are in some form of danger or peril inside that building" he replied back in a more formal tone.

With a wink of the eye, the chief punched the inside of her hand and smirked. "That's all the probable cause I need. Let's get our people back, and take down that son of a bitch." She then bounded out of the satomobile towards one of the metallic walls of the warehouse and proceeded to bend a hole in it.

They all entered one by one. The first thing they noticed was that the outside of the warehouse gave no indication on what the inside looked like. Instead of what they expected to be metallic walls and crates was stone hallways dimly lit by torches hung up every few feet. "It looks more like a temple than a warehouse." Korra commented as she ran her hand against a short distance of the wall.

The three comrades made their way further in, cautiously peering around each corner and debating which turn to take. Bolin looked around still with a glazed look in his eye. "Geez, these halls go along forever. There's no markings or signage anywhere. How is anyone supposed to navigate through this place?" Just as he finished his sentence Korra felt a slight change in the air and she instinctually grabbed ahold of his shoulders and pulled him backwards.

No sooner did she pull him out of the way a throwing star flew past Bolin's head planting into the stone wall. A deep voice echoed further down the hall as a man in blacked out stealth gear approached them. "Memory, every individual that is involved here is first expected to commit the layout to memory. That way if an outsider were to wander these corridors, they would undoubtedly be caught in the maze."

A strong sense of familiarity filled Korra as she caught sight of his face. "I know you. You're the man who broke into Asami's mansion. It only figures you'd be this twisted into Raiko's scheme."

"I'm simply a man doing a job. It's just coincidence that I enjoy the work." The mysterious man reached down to his belt and unsheathed a metallic rod from his belt, similar to the one he used against Korra before.

Out of frustration Korra thrusted her arms forward. We don't have time for this." She tried to once again bend the rod like she did at the mansion, however, despite her effort the metal did not move an inch.

A devilish smile grew on the man's face. "I learned my lesson from last time, it's made of pure darkened platinum."

"Yea well there's still three of us and one of you" Lin touted now dropping into a combative stance.

"I wouldn't be so sure." A large group of similarly dark clothed warriors came out of the shadows around them. "I will be honest with you, we've been looking forward to your arrival."

The three individuals moved back to back to with one another. "This isn't going to be easy" Bolin assessed

"It never is." Korra replied with a slight scoff. "Lin you take the sides, Bolin you cover the back, I'm taking the fight to him head on." "Let's kick their ass." Just as her front foot made its first motion a sharp needle plunged into the side of Korra's neck. "What the..." Suddenly a pair of needles hit both Lin and Bolin as well. Within a matter of seconds their legs began to buckle and their vision blurred. Eventually they dropped to their knees.

Slowly the man walked forward dryly talking down to Korra. "Although we do believe we can easily take you, we'd much rather do this the smart way." With what little strength she had left Korra looked up at him with utter contempt. He chuckled at this and brandished the rod next to her head menacingly. "Sweet dreams Avatar." With a quick swinging motion, everything around Korra went dark.

Several corridors deeper into the facility Reran was stealthily peering around a corner. "How you feeling do-right?" She called out to the man behind her.

Mako continually kept snapping his fingers each time producing small flame sparks. "Not fully back yet, but I'm getting better." He then glanced back over to Reran and asked. "Are we going to talk about what happened back there?"

A deep sigh escaped from the young girl and she looked back at him with sincerity in her eyes. "Listen, I legitimately would like to tell you everything, but this is not the time or place."

"She's right." Asami spoke up still grasping at the back of her head which was still sore from earlier. "We need to focus on getting out of here, I'm certain they are aware we are no longer in our cell at this point. So we should keep moving." Asami then leaned in to whisper in Reran's ear. "Although, Korra would be very proud if she could see you now." This made the young girl unintentionally smirk at the thought.

"Alright so what's the plan?" Mako interjected clasping his hands together to keep them warm.

Yet another wave of frustration hit Reran, not at him but herself. "As soon as I figure out one I'll tell you. Right now I'm just taking it step by step. I would say we need to go for the exit, but this place is so twisted I can't make heads or tails of any of it. There's no distinguishing which way you're going down any of these hallways."

"Why can't we just bust the walls down, until we see light" the young man suggested.

A shutter ran up Reran's spine and became visibly uncomfortable. Asami noticed this and insisted "Let's find a different way." At that moment they heard the sound of footsteps coming their way. They moved further into the shadows and watched as two guard looking types walked past them down an adjoining hallway. Asami took notice that neither of them seemed to be very alert to what's going on. "I might have an idea." She then peered over to Reran with a grin.

A few moments later Reran moved to the center of the hallway and called out to the guards. "Oh gentlemen. I seem to be terribly lost. Can you please point me in the direction of the gift shop?"

Immediately both of the guards dashed towards her. With a slick grin, Reran nodded to the two individuals standing at the corner of the adjoining hallway. Just as the guards passed Asami swiftly lunged forward with her fist striking the nearest guard across the jaw and immediately knocking him out. At the same time Mako slid across and swept at the other guard's legs forcing him to fall hard on his back. Mako fluidly followed this by twisting into a prone position on top of the guard and grabbed him by the collar. "How do we get out of here?"

The guard sorely chuckled in his face. "It is pointless. Even if you escape, President Raiko has all he needs to crush you."

Asami kneeled down next to the man. "We don't care what he has on us. His defamation threats can't keep him safe from facing justice for what he did today?"

"It's not a threat of defamation" Reran interjected now standing beside Asami. "If he's pushed far enough that prick will kill us, he told me as much earlier on."

A subtle sound of cracking stone echoed as Mako punched the ground right next to the guard's head. "What is this guy's deal? What have we actually done to him to warrant such hatred."

"He's not doing it out of hatred." Reran walked next to the side of the guard and lightly stomped her foot. Two small blocks of stone immediately rose up and began to slowly close in on his arm. "Tell us what we want to know." Reran's voice was stoic and cold. The guard screamed in agony trying to wriggle his arm free. "Now!" The stones buckled as they seemingly squeezed tighter.

"Go down the rest of the corridor, take two rights, then a left" the guard screamed out in pain.

"Much appreciated. Mako can you take care of him?" With little hesitation Mako planted a swift punch across the man's face instantly knocking him out. The blocks slowly receded into the ground as Reran moved back towards Asami grabbing the letter she stole from inside her pocket. "Raiko doesn't only want to win the election. He wants your company." Handing over the letter Asami grasped it in her hand listening intently to Reran. "Yori sold you out awhile ago. Talked about her discovery about you, how she was willing to do whatever he needed. All she asked for in return was that he ruin the reputation of the Sato name, that she get a prominent seat in his cabinet, and..."

"And what?" Asami's eyes narrowed in concern.

Glancing down at her feet Reran lightly whispered "The death of Avatar Korra."

Silence once again filled the hall as Asami stood in disbelief. She then looked at the letter crumbled it up in her fist and said "You guys go. I need to find Raiko."

Before the inflamed woman could move past them, Reran took ahold of both of Asami's shoulders and held her in place. "That is not a good idea. You can't just run off in a rage right now. As much as he probably deserves a good ass kicking, we need to regroup. There has to be a plan, not to mention more people to carry it out."

Asami was about to argue but then she took notice that Reran's arms were shaking while trying to hold her in place. Seeing this made her remember there was much more pressing matters at the moment. "You're right, lets get out of here."

They swiftly dashed down the halls taking careful stride to follow the guard's instructions exactly. As they turned the last corner they could see a ray of light in the distance. "The exit is just ahead" Mako called out. Just as they reached the halfway point a wall of stone ascended out of the ground to the ceiling cutting off their path. "Reran what are you doing?"

Banging against the wall, she looked dumbfounded. "I swear this wasn't me."

"So close, and yet not close enough" a familiar snarky voiced emanated from behind them. Turning on their heels they saw Raiko and several armed men in all black to either side of him. "I have to say I wasn't expecting the street punk to be a bender let alone one that can break down the door. I won't be so careless next time.

Reran's fist tensed up thinking about all the abuse that man put her through. With a fire in the pit of her stomach she yelled out. "I will not let you hurt my friends."

She was about to charge at him, however, Asami held an arm out to stop her. "You don't worry about any of this. It's my turn." Both she and Mako then jumped into a ready fighting stance.

Raiko cackled at the sight of this. "What are you going to do Sato. You may be rather skilled as a fighter, but you can't go against all of my men. And even if you could, would you want to do anything that put the love of your life in danger." Giving a subtle flick of his wrist one of the armed men dragged out Korra from around the corner shackled in chains and wearing a mouth guard. Her eyes dropped as though she wasn't fully cognizant of her surroundings.

"Korra" Asami yelled out in horror. The inside of her palm tightened into a fist as she glared maliciously at Raiko. "You let her go you sadistic.."

"I wouldn't finish that sentence Ms. Sato." He quickly pulled a sharp edged knife from the inside of his jacket, the sight of which instantly made Reran shutter, and he held it directly under Korra's chin. "You don't know if my wrist may slip." This halted any thought of retaliation Asami had, she knew there was no way she could reach him in time before he did serious damage. Raiko saw this hesitation and shined his devilish grin. "Now that we have come to an understanding, this is what's going to happen. You three are going to come back to your cell, be individually fastened to the wall, and stay there until I deem it necessary to bring you down. I don't care who or what comes for you. I own this town, and I plan on keeping it that way."

Asami scoffed unsure of what to do. "All of this for an election?"

"Oh child, for a self professed genius you think so small." He threw Korra face first to the ground and placed his heel directly into her back, not taking his eyes away from Asami who was nearly distraught at the sight of this. "Let's just say I didn't fully disagree with what Kuivera was trying to do, my only exception is that this expansion of territory should not be restricted to the physical world."

Mako's eyes widened as he too stepped forward. "You plan on taking over the spirit world."

"Good on you boy. There are so many untapped resources in that other world, just ripe to be harvested. Alas, it would not look to kindly in my favor if I just took over. So I put on the guise of recovery and expansion." Raiko twisted his ankle into the small of Korra's back. "Growing commerce is the best form of legal conquest, don't you think." Raiko turned to one of the guards and made a subtle hand motion. "You can take them away."

As the guards slowly began to move towards them and the three of them dropped into a defensive stance, a loud thump echoed from behind the stone wall making them freeze in place Another thump was heard loudly against the wall before giant gust of swirling wind burst through the the center creating a giant hole. Swiftly the likes of Jinora and Tenzin came flooding in. With a quick dash Tenzin leaped ahead and brought his palm down in the middle of the guard's send a burst of air outwards knocking all of them prone including Raiko. Taking the opportunity given Asami, Mako, and Jinora ran forward and grabbed Korra, Lin, and Bolin and dragged them backwards. Not wasting any time they untied all of their restraints and got them back their feet. Jinora then reached into her bag and pulled a giant metallic glove that she proceeded to hand over to Asami. "Sorry we weren't here sooner, we only got the message Lin left for us an hour ago."

Asami slipped the glove on and flexed it tightly sending sparks flying out in every which direction. "All that matters is that you are here now."

Korra peered briefly at Asami and grinned, before turning back to Raiko and shouting out. "This ends here. Come with us quietly."

Raiko slowly stood back up, brushing the dust from his pants. "I have a better idea, why don't we kill you here and come up with an alibi later. Men take care of this ravel."

The guards sprinted forward batons at the ready. Tenzin and Jinora started off by shooting pummels of air towards them, but the men in Black so right through this and easily ducked and jumped out of the way of the attacks. "These men seem to be highly trained to fight benders" Tenzin called out as the first baton came swinging down upon him. Mako jumped in going hand to hand with one of them, occasionally sending out a small plume of fire from his fist. It was clear he still wasn't fully recovered, however, he was giving it his all.

Korra, Asami, and Lin fought back to back, however they still were feeling the effects of their recent torture making their movements exceedingly slower than normal. All of the fighters put the pressure on, but none of them were able to gain an advantage. Eventually the number of guards was too much for them and they began take several hits.

Reran could see them struggling. She wanted to help, but her whole body refused to stop shaking. Her friends were getting hurt and she couldn't do anything about it. A rage built up, a rage that had not been present in her for a long time. It kept building and building until it finally something snapped in her. "That's enough" Reran screamed at the top of her lungs. With a forceful stomp the entirety of the floor began to buckle underneath everyone's feet. Several of the stones turned upwards smashing the guard's between them, other areas had long spikes extend from the ground impaling the rest. The team barely was able to dodge from these hazards due to them essentially being created at random.

Recollecting herself after the occurrence Korra looked around in shock. "What was that?"

"Ahh!" A scream was heard in the middle of the rubble. Which Lin cautiously moved forward to investigate. On a quick search she found Raiko on the ground, still alive but with his leg pinned between two stones. Lin stood over the president and quickly jabbed across the jaw. "Raiko, you have the right to remain silent." After lowering the stones she proceed to cuff him. The damage on his leg seemed severe and was streaking with blood.

Reran fell to her knees with tears flowing freely as she now took in the gravity of what she just did. Her hands were trembling wildly and her heart felt was going to escape from her chest. Seeing this Asami dashed up immediately wrapping her arms around her. "It's okay." She whispered gently into her ear. "Everyone is safe now, we're safe now." She slowly ran her fingers through Reran's hair trying to elicit any ease she could give. "You did good, it's over now, we won."

Korra slowly walked forward, knelt down, and put her arms around the both of them. "We're gonna go home now, take nice long baths, and build beds out in the living room. I don't want to have either of you leave my sight for the next three weeks."

Reran simply pulled them in tighter, She emotionally felt broken and all her feelings were pouring out. "I love you two" she choked out through tears. "You're my family, please don't ever leave me. I can't handle the thought of either of you being gone."

"There's no way you ever could" Asami reassured her.

Mako lightly limped up. "I think it's time we all got out of here."

"Stop right there" a voice yelled from behind the rubble. Appearing moments later was Yori with a baton in hand pointing it menacingly at them.

Asami stood up and slowly moved towards her. "Yori, it's over. I won't press charges against you if you just surrender."

"I'm not going to do that" the frantic woman yelled out. "You are disgusting, I had so much respect for you. How could you be with another woman."

In response Asami put her hands up defensively. "Listen I know you're hurting, but that is no reason to vilify me or more importantly yourself because of my relationship with Korra."

Tears began to appear at the edge of Yori's eyes. "I gave you my heart, but that wasn't enough was it. Only the best for Asami Sato, I had no chance. After all who can compete with the Avatar?"

At that moment Korra returned to her feet as well a took a forceful step towards Yori, however, Asami put an arm in front Korra to stop her from starting a fight. She then slowly approached Yori. "You're right. I was unfair to you. You spent all those days with me when Korra couldn't, you worked so hard to make me appear even remotely presidential, and you always did whatever I asked of you." Her hands were now at her sides as she continued her advance. Yori's body language started to ease as well as the baton dropped down lower the more she listened in. "lPlease forgive me. I mistreated you, and I took advantage of you. I guess it was partially because I was hiding my feelings from you. But I can see clearly now. I finally understand how I feel about you, and I have to say something right now or else I'll regret it." Asami placed a hand on the side of Yori's face. "You're fired." With that a sudden jolt of electricity jolted out of Asami's glove shocking Yori and sending her flying 10 feet back.

Everyone looked at Asami dumbfounded. Lin piped in saying. "That was cold."

Asami simply shrugged. "She knocked me out and locked me up to potentially be tortured. There is no way that girl doesn't get black balled with me."

Korra walked up to Raiko with a smug on her face as Lin finished cuffing him. "I can't lie, I enjoy seeing you in handcuffs Raiko."

Raiko didn't seem acknowledge Korra at all,he glanced past her towards Asami. "Take this moment to admire it, you have your victory. But rest assured Ms. Sato, you and I are far from finished."

"Wow can you be anymore cliche." Lin moaned into his ear. "Come on, you and I are gonna have a long chat at the station."

"Can we go home now" Reran managed to mutter. Her whole body was shaking as she had her arms wrapped around her legs and her head planted deep into her knees.

Both women came back to the young girl, and took either side of her arms to help her up. Korra placed an arm around the small Reran's back to comfort her. "Of course we can, I think this part of our story is at last finished."
