Sorry for messing up my updates, but this story's been stuck in my head that it's been giving me writer's blocks. Inazuma Eleven was a favorite between me and my baby cousins. Good times. Anyway, hope you like this new story!
Epilogue: Return of the Captain
Kidou Yuuto, a boy with dreadlocks tied to a ponytail and wearing blue goggles and a red cape under the Teikoku soccer uniform, the Genius Field Strategist, stared in horror at what was happening in front of him.
Today was a big day for Teikoku Academy; it was their first tournament in the Football Frontier, the event to determine the strongest soccer team in Japan.
Their first opponent were Zeus Junior High, an unmarked school. Since they were not heard of, Teikoku decided to let Kidou to sit this one out because of his leg injury.
When the referee blew his whistle, that was when things gone wrong. The minute Zeus' captain, Aprodhi, a pretty boy with red eyes and blonde, long hair wearing white and a toga, kicked the ball, the players in the field were on the ground. They used moves unheard of, getting one goal after another.
It was already five minutes and Teikoku was barely standing. They haven't even touched the ball yet.
Kidou clenched his fist as Aprodhi blew past Jimon and Wataru with his Hissatsu Techniqu: Heaven's Time.
"You were fools to challenge the gods," Aprodhi said with a smirk as he passed the ball to Hera, a boy with red hair and a scar across his forehead, their forward.
Hera kicked the ball into the air in a backflip style before rapidly kicking the ball until it glowed blue.
"Divine Arrow!" Hera shouted as he kicked the ball towards the goal, flying like an arrow.
Genda, a boy with spikey, brown hair with orange markings on his cheek, gritted his teeth as he readied to stop the shot. He tried to stop their shots, but they were too strong. He already injured his right arm, but they didn't have Goalkeepers in reserve. But when the ball got close enough, a shadow appeared in front of him. His eyes widened as he saw Sakuma, a boy with light-blue hair and wearing an eye patch, stopped the ball with his feet.
He screamed as the ball injured his leg. But he managed to kick the ball of course.
"Sakuma!" Kidou shouted as his friend fell to the ground, clutching his leg.
He looked at his team and saw that they were all beaten. He didn't know how they were going to win. He looked down on the ground, clenching his teeth and fists.
"Looks like you guys could use some help," a voice said.
Kidou's head jerk up as he heard the familiar voice. He turned and saw the ball going towards him. In reflex, he kicked the ball back to the one who kicked it, who caught it with one hand.
"Glad to see you see that you didn't let your skills dull," the boy said. Everyone from Teikoku looked and saw a grinning boy with tanned skin, bright, blue eyes, spikey, sun-kissed hair and the most prominent features were his six whisker-marks on his cheeks. He was wearing black pants, an orange hoodie over a black shirt and a blue headband that kept the bangs off his face.
Next to him were two girls. The first one was a girl with pale lilac eyes that made her look like she's blind, blue hair that was cut in a hime style and she was wearing a jacket and bicycle shorts. The next one was a girl with brown eyes, pale skin and black hair tied to a bun with two framing her cute face. She was wearing a green jacket and jean shorts.
"Captain!" they all shouted to the blonde boy.
"You're back!" Kidou exclaimed, a hopeful tone in his voice. With him back, they might have a chance.
"Yup, and just in time too," the boy said as he looked at his team. They were both bruised and scratched up, but the light in their eyes were bright since he was back now. "Okay, let's switch players! Kidou, replace Sakuma. I'll replace Genda."
Genda looked surprised by that. He tried to protest, but their captain stopped him.
"Don't think I can't see it," he said. "You injured your right arm when you tried to stop that fifth shot."
Everyone's eyes widened at that. Genda thought that no one noticed his injury.
He then patted Genda on the shoulder, giving him a grin.
"Don't worry, I won't let them get another goal," he said. "I promise. And you know I never break a promise."
Genda looked at him before nodding a bit. If there was one thing their captain was famous for, other than being a soccer genius, was that he never breaks a promise.
"Haku-chan, Hinata-chan, give them first aid," the boy said to his two female companions.
A few minutes later, Kidou was standing on the field. Sakuma and Genda were being tended by the two girls. He then looked at the goal and saw the blonde boy putting on the captain's armband, wearing an orange, long-sleeved jersey with the number 9 proudly displayed on his back and a pair of green shorts and soccer shows.
"It looks like Teikoku is making two substitutes!" the announcer, a short man with yellow shades and a head shaped like a pork bun, shouted.
"Sakumo Jirou will be replaced by Kidou Yuuto and Genda Koujirou will be replaced by…well this is a surprise! The long lost captain of Teikoku has returned! The Orange Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze!"
Naruto grinned as he slammed a gloved fist into a gloved hand.
"Okay guys, let's win this, dattebayo!" Naruto shouted, using his verbal tick.
"Yeah!" his team shouted.
"Hmph," Aprodhi said with a smirk. "Like one extra player can help you win."
The referee blew his whistle and the kick-off started.
Later…
The crowd cheered loudly as the game ended. Otonashi Haruna, a girl with short, blue hair and wearing a school uniform and pink glasses, cheered as well since her brother's team won.
Zeus Junior was in shock. They, the ones who obtained the power of the gods, have lost. On the scoreboard, it was 5-8 with Teikoku in the lead. Aprodhi was kneeling on the ground, disbelief that his God Knows was stopped.
"How can this be," Aprodhi said shakily. "We, who obtained the power of the god, have lost."
"That's what happens when you depend on fake power," a voice said. He looked up and saw Naruto standing in front of him. "Know this, Aprodhi; power isn't given to you, it's earned."
He then surprised the fallen god as he offered a hand.
"Let's play again, once you earned your power," Naruto said with a grin.
Aprodhi stared at Naruto, thinking about the words he said. In the past, he would scoffed at it, but now, seeing how strong he really was, started to think that maybe their commander was wrong. With a small smile, he accepted the hand and stood up.
"Thank you, Naruto Namikaze," he said as he walked back to his team, determine to change them.
Meanwhile, Kageyama Reiji, a tall, skinny man with dark skin and wearing shades and a ponytail, was seething. He knew he should have ended that brat, but he thought he could manipulate him again. Now, that mistake caused him the match.
Before he could think of a way to get back in the game, the door behind him broke in two, surprising him. He turned and saw a man wearing a headband that covered his left eye and a mask that covered the bottom part of his face. He had white, gravity defying hair and wearing a white shirt, black coat, black pants and black boots.
"Kageyama Reiji," the man said with a lazy drawl. "You are under arrest for your illegal development of the Aqua of the Gods. Come quietly. Everything you'll say will be used against you."
Kageyama kept his cool. This was just a set back and once this was done, he would get back on track of his revenge against soccer.
Back to the field, Teikoku were still celebrating their victory and their captain returning.
"It's good to have you back, captain," Kidou said with a small grin.
"It's good to be back," Naruto said with a grin. "Now let's keep playing our best to the finals, dattebayo!"
"Yeah!" they shouted, raising their fists in the air.
Naruto looked up at the sky and grinned.
"I can't wait to see how strong you've become, Mamoru," Naruto thought before walking away with his team.
And cut! Hope you like it. This story's been on my mind too much and needed to be out. As you can tell, Naruto is born into the Inazuma Eleven world and is a player of Teikoku. Wan to find out how what he'll do next? Just keep reading! Well, see you later!
