Chapter 1: Midnight: Part 1: Meeting

Jenny had just landed on the planet of Midnight. She had been travelling alone for 200 years never seeing her father even if she tried. Somehow she always got there too late. People would talk of her father like a hero like she knew he was. She herself had been known as the Dawning Storm. She had on her person a knife in her boot, stun gun on her hip, psychic paper, sonic screwdriver and Vortex Manipulator.

Walking through the Midnight resort she didn't know why her vortex manipulator bought her here. Everything seemed calm. Maybe the Manipulator thought she needed a break. Who knew a device would know that.

Jenny was walking around when she hears a familiar voice. Could it be Donna? If she was here could her father? She follows the voice and finds Donna getting a massage.

"Donna?" Jenny asks

Donna looks up with shock.

"Jenny your alive?" Donna asks

"Yes I am. Not that I am not happy to see you but is my Dad here?" Jenny asks

"He is going on the shuttle to see the sapphire waterfall. Jenny how are you alive?" Donna asks

"Long story", Jenny says

"Story version then", Donna says arms crossed

"Well I was in the first 15 hours of my birth. I could regrow parts of my body. My heart grow back but I was out for a few hours before I came too and Dad had left thinking I was dead. I have been travelling ever since. Saving planets and running, lots of running. I came here by Vortex Manipulator. It must have sensed Dad. I normally set it for places that need my help", Jenny says

"I am so glad your alive Jenny", Donna says hugging Jenny

"Will Dad be?" Jenny asks

"Of course he will. He was devastated by your death. Go to him", Donna says

"Want to come?" Jenny asks

"I don't know", Donna says

"Come on seeing a Sapphire Waterfall will be fun", Jenny says

"Oh alright. How are we going to get on the shuttle it leaves soon", Donna says

"I have psychic paper. And I have a spare and it is yours. Your basically my Aunt. So here", Jenny says handing over the psychic paper she had spare

"Thank you I will gladly be your Aunt. So what do we pose as to get on this shuttle?" Donna asks

"Inspectors might be right. To make sure the ride is alright for everyone", Jenny says

"I can go along with that", Donna says

They rush to the shuttle terminal. They were just about to close the doors.

"Wait!" Jenny calls

"Yes Miss?" a lady asks

"We are inspectors. We make sure tourists are getting the complete experience. Sorry we are late we were just being debriefed", Jenny says

"Can I see you identification?" the woman asks

Jenny shows her psychic paper. And so does Donna.

"Go right on", the woman says, "I hope you enjoy your ride"

"Thank you", Jenny says moving into the shuttle

"There he is", Donna whisperers to Jenny pointing at the Doctor

"You go first", Jenny says

"Fine. But he will love you Jenny", Donna says, "Doctor"

"Donna! You decided to join me. How did you get on board?" the Doctor asks

"With this", Donna says showing her psychic paper

"How did you get that?" the Doctor asks

"From me. Hello Dad", Jenny says smiling

"Jenny?" the Doctor whisperers

"Yes it is me. Cross me hearts", Jenny says smiling

The Doctor pulls her into a hug.

"I thought I lost you", the Doctor says

"Never. Let's sit and talk", Jenny says sitting next to her father and Donna

"So how did you survive?" the Doctor asks

"I was in the first 15 hours of my birth which means…", Jenny prompts

"That you would be able to have a new heart same with regeneration. You have Time Lord genes?" the Doctor asks

"Yes. Two hearts beats the works. Not sure about regeneration. Since I haven't died yet. Besides being shot in the heart. I work up several hours later and you, Donna and Martha were gone. But what you said stuck with me. So I stole a craft and started travelling. I now travel by vortex manipulator I stole from a Time Agent. He can get a new one and I needed it", Jenny explains

"You have psychic paper too?" the Doctor asks

"Yep. Stole two of those from Time Agents. Gave the second one to Donna to get on board she can keep it", Jenny says

"Once this trip is over I want to show you my TARDIS", the Doctor says

"Ok. I will just have to pick up my belongings from the locker I rented. Don't worry no guns. One a stun gun in there a spare. The other is on me", Jenny says lifting her shirt and coat to reveal the gun

"It doesn't kill?" the Doctor asks

"No. I took your words to heart. One shot of this are the alien is unconscious. And it depends on what species how long they are out", Jenny says

Suddenly the shuttle stops mid-route.

"That is not right", Jenny says

"I know. Lets see what is happening will you join me?" the Doctor asks with a smile

"Of course. Sorting out problems is my speciality and making sure people don't get killed. Oh and stopping wars", Jenny says

"We really must talk more after this", the Doctor says to his daughter

"I'll be glad to have that conversation. Now lets see to the shuttle", Jenny says

"Right. It is good to have you back Jenny", the Doctor says

"Thanks Dad", Jenny says smiling
