What is it that you picture a normal day as, hmm? Birds chirping, Sun shining, and kids playing basketball, correct? Now imagine the opposite of that.

The streets filled with a eriee calm, dark and sinister clouds covering the world as if they were a blanket, dead bodies line the streets in hundreds. A basketball lay forgotten in a field of dry grass. At the center of it all is the man of steel himself.

The kryptonian stared, eyes blank and his face emotionless, at the body's of his former team. They had come to try and stop him, reason with him but their actions proved useless.

The former hero shifted his gaze to a shattered piece of glass. His reflection almost as terrible as batman's worst glare could ever have hope to be.

His black hair once combed back neatly, now was a untamed rats nest. His eyes red, as if ready for his heat vision to reacted at any moment. His suit torn and scratched, the symbol he once showed proudly on his chest know was practically torn off. The symbol that once was known for protection and hope now stood for destruction and terror. Or atleast, it would have if there was anyone left to see it.

But their was.

And he did not like what he saw.

...

Clockwork was staring at the looking glass, as he liked to call them. He new what he had to do but he did not know if young Daniel would be up for it.

It had only been two months since the explosion, and he had taken it very hard. The only thing keeping him from turning into his evil, future self was the promise he made. And Danny was hell bent on keeping it. Not that clockwork could blame him.

After the explosion, Danny was put in the hospital and under constant watch in case Danny Phantom came to kill him. After all, Danny Phantom being the cause for the explosion was posted all over the news. Vlad Masters made sure of that. So Danny was kept under constant watch so phantom wouldn't try to kill Danny he was alone.

In truth, Vlad just did not want his 'Little Badger' to escape. Daniel being the only thing the fruitloop had left of his precious Maddie. He was very obsessive of Danny. It took a week for the guards let Danny go to the bathroom himself, for crying out loud. The guards bought Vlad's lie, and looked out for phantom.

If only they new.

Danny had, eventually, gotten "free" and came straight to Clockwork's lair. Asking him why Clockwork couldn't save his family, and if Dark Dan going to return. He eventually ended up falling asleep (in Clockwork's lap, mind you), with tear stains running down his cheeks.

He had been staying their ever since.

Danny has changed since then. In ghost form he now wore a hooded white cape, clasped in front by a electric green ecto-plasmic jewel. He wore elbow and knee high white, buckle up boots and gloves. His original hazmat suit had been replaced by a black and white, buckled sides suit. His DP symbol stayed, though. He never told jokes and Rarely smiled anymore.

Clockwork sighed, pitching the bridge of his nose. He new had to do this.

He also new that Danny wouldn't like it.
