Chapter 20 - Don't Take What You Don't Need

Violet eyes looked around the back of the arena. she had been looking for Lizette for the last 45 minutes; Amora growled when her call went to voice mail once more and then she decided it was time to start calling Roman's cell and she growled even more when his phone sent her to voicemail. "DAMN IT! Roman I know you guys just got back from your honeymoon but let my girl up for some air! I need to talk with her."

Amora hit the end button and couldn't help chuckling. They'd actually gotten married a year ago but because of the WWE's travel schedule they just couldn't get time set aside for a honeymoon so once the time came around they finally got one.

It was a week before Christmas.

It had officially been a year and a half since Lizette's brother Bray had gone off the deep end and jumped off the Nationwide Arena in Columbus Ohio. Lizette had been completely devastated. She had survived losing Roman for a few months and even survived breast cancer only to lose her brother.

When the coroner pronounced Bray deceased, Lizette demanded an autopsy. It sounded morbid but her brothers actions led her to believe something was seriously wrong. Her brother was a loving family man and the father of two girls whom he loved almost more than life itself along with his wife Shannon. She couldn't get past the fact that there had to be some sort of explanation regarding the way her brother had behaved for the year leading up to him committing suicide.

When the coroner called her back the explanation she got was one she was definitely not expecting.

A brain tumor the size of a plum was pushing on his brain and was literally smashing his brain into his skull. Bray was healthy as a horse on the outside so no one caught the growth that was slowly killing him. The coroner said if he hadn't of taken his own life that the tumor would've taken him within the next three months...In a way it still took his life; even if it wasn't the initial reason he died. It made him a babbling creepy stalker who thought jumping off of a building's roof was going to save him from going back into FBI custody.

Lizette had a hell of a time with the grief after his funeral. Hunter and Stephanie gave her some personal time. After the cancer and losing Bray they both could tell she just needed the private time. She ended up traveling with Roman during the time off; though she stayed at the hotels and relaxed when he would go to the arenas for the shows. Roman helped her heal the most. Amora would take her shopping and Jillian would take her to the spa because pregnancy was creeping up on her and damn if they both didn't enjoy those foot massages, pedicures, manicures and full body massages. It was just what they both needed.

Amora sighed softly. She couldn't believe it was already Christmas time again. This was the last show before Christmas and everyone was convening at the Reigns family home not only by Patricia's request by Sika's demand. Christmas at the Reigns household was warm and fun. Roman's huge Samoan family were loud and loved to eat and made EVERYONE feel like they were part of the family somehow.

Amora had really missed Lizette when she and Roman left for the honeymoon. Four weeks was the longest they'd ever gone not texting or speaking, but it was their honeymoon for Christ sake. She wagered they never made it out of the hotel room in Hawaii; as every honeymoon should be. What the hell; Amora shrugged - she wasn't officially back until Monday Night Raw started she'd give them a few more minutes alone.

Amora smiled to herself when a hand came out of nowhere and pulled her into a dressing room before familiar lips captured hers.

Eh...talking to Lizette could wait; kissing her fiancé couldn't.

Amora couldn't believe how long she and Baron had been together...after watching the way her father conducted his love life and all the sisters and the brother she had because of his choices she was leery about love and about anything stable. Somehow Baron broke down her walls and made it so easy for her to love him.

To her love was like wishing for rain as she stood in the desert.

Oh yea she fell hard for Baron; so hard she got a bruise from the landing.

His hands were roaming her body and his lips were attached to hers. Her fingernails were softly digging into his muscled shoulders as his hands found her jean covered hips. She moaned into his mouth as his tongue slipped between her lips and caressed her tongue.

Her hands slid down his t-shirt covered chest. She loved his chest and would worship it on a nightly basis if she could. Her hands slipped up inside of the t-shirt as her fingertips and nails did some exploring of their own. A soft gravelly growl made a shiver zip down her spine.

The sound of wet raspberries being blown echoed through the room; effectively bringing the make out session to an end between the two lovers. Bright hazel eyes turned to where the familiar sounds came from. Jillian smiled softly. "Daddy someone is awake from their nap."

Dean chuckled as he shook his head. "I noticed. I sensed a presence was missing from my lips when the raspberries took your attention."

Jillian giggled as she reached over and unstrapped the beautiful bundle that sucked the life out of them on an almost daily basis for the last year and a month. "What's wrong Mally baby? Do you want daddy to feed you?" Jillian cooed at the infant.

Mallory Elizabeth Ambrose came into their lives at 6 pounds 4 ounces and a crazy 23 inches long. Clearly she got her father's 6'4 height. Dean kept asking how Mallory fit inside Jillian's small body.

Dean couldn't believe they created this little human being; this absolutely beautiful bundle of shitty diapers and 3 am feedings. This beautiful baby girl with his curls and Jillian's amazing hazel eyes. He smiled as Jillian kissed their daughters forehead and passed her over to him while handing him a bottle. "I know mommy passes off the gas machine to daddy because I can make you burp better after you suck this stuff down."

"Well there's that and I have to go take the scripts to Hunter and Stephanie. I'm not trying to cart baby and heavy scripts around. I shouldn't be too long." Jillian smiled as she snapped a couple of pictures with her cell phone of daddy and daughter getting cozy on the couch. "Don't you two just look adorable."

She couldn't believe they'd only been married for 6 months; Jillian was crazy independent and gave Dean every option to get out while he could knowing what his past was like. She couldn't take it if he stayed for a couple of years and then left after she'd fallen completely in love with him it would've broken her heart beyond repair. She honestly had no issues raising their baby on her own; except when she gave birth the following morning as completely unconventional as their relationship was Dean surprised her by being conventional and getting down on one knee and asking her to marry him.

Jillian flat out told him "If you don't love me pretend; a few more hours than it's time to go - get up and leave before I get too attached."

Dean chuckled at her. "I have no reason to pretend now say yes so we can get married and make a few more of those." He stated with his signature cocky smirk before he nodded at the pink bundle squirming in her arms. "Huh, what do you say mommy?"

It was the best decision Dean had ever made in his life next to wrestling. Dean stared down at his daughter and was completely mesmerized with her as she settled in his arms and burrowed into the warmth of his chest. He looked up as Jillian leaned over and kissed his lips softly.

"Hey when are we going to discuss having a few more of these by the way?" Dean asked with an impish smirk on his lips.

"When I come back well discuss it." Jillian stated truthfully. She opened the door to leave before she looked back over. "Hey Ambrose..." She waited until his blue locked with her hazel. "Just thought I'd let you know...I'm late...by about 4 weeks." She winked at her husband of 6 months as a grin spread across his face.

"Sooner than I was expecting babe." He stated.

Jillian chuckled. "Nope. I think it's right on time." Jillian couldn't help the giggles she let out when she heard Dean's whoops and hollers chasing her down the hallway.

Jade eyes looked up from the medical forms when the garage door opened and she watched her husband walk into the house in his dark wash jeans, his t-shirt was hanging from the side of his pants. He had his hair pulled back in an elastic band at the nap of his neck. She had to remember how to breathe for a few minutes with that bare tattooed chest available for her eyes.

Roman chuckled he already knew his wife was checking out his bare chest. Yea he was a dick he did it on purpose. He smirked as he walked closer he leaned down and kissed her lips softly before he sat down next to her on the couch. "What's going on in that beautiful mind in yours Mrs. Reigns?" He asked as his fingers combed thru her shoulder length hair. He loved that her dark caramel colored locks were growing out since the chemotherapy had ended.

Lizette smiled softly as she leaned into his touch. "Just going over all the medical forms I'll need for the reconstructive surgery. I don't really want an implant for a full breast, I just want the scar to be gone. Some people where them as badges of honor and some get them tattooed over. I already had enough pain in my breast; I don't want any more pain no matter how little it will be there."

Roman nodded. "Babygirl, You know I will support whatever you want to do at this point. WWE is going to give me the extra time off to be with you during and after the surgery. I think doing it over the Christmas/New Years break is the smartest thing at this point. The doctor said it would be 8 weeks to heal and you could still go to the gym as long as you take it easy and don't rip your stitches but you can't hit the ring until after the WWE doctors clear you."

Lizette smiled softly as she set the paperwork on the glass coffee table before she moved around and straddled her husband's lap. "I know you support me with whatever I choose to do. I appreciate everything you've done and everything you stuck by me with. What do you think I should do?" She asked him honestly.

Roman shook his head. "My opinion doesn't count Lizzy. Whatever you feel is necessary to make you happy is exactly what you should do." He stated honestly to his wife. "Let's get going you know mom and dad won't let us miss any of the holiday get togethers; we can discuss it more when we get home tonight." He watched as she nodded while he stood and pulled his t-shirt over his head as they both headed out the door.

A few days later, it was after Christmas and Lizette and Roman were sitting in the exam room for the plastic surgeon. She'd come down a couple of weeks prior and did all her blood tests to make sure she was in good health for the surgery. It wasn't major surgery it was just her wanting to get the scar covered up.

She wasn't really sure why she was so self conscious about it. Roman had seen her a million times naked and never made her feel any less beautiful; quite the contrary he actually made her feel even more beautiful than she truly thought she was. Scars from cancer made every woman feel different. Even though she survived the fact that her left nipple was missing wasn't what really bothered her as much as the scar did and she didn't know why.

The plastic surgeon required her to go to a couple of weeks of therapy because most patients only wanted the surgery to improve their looks and that just wasn't the case with Lizette. Roman made sure he was at her disposal for the therapy sessions; he just refused to allow her to go through anything else alone. He'd missed his opportunity to be her support system - he would NEVER miss anything again the dealt with her and her being in his life.

They married in his parents back yard and waited for their honeymoon for a year and it was the BEST time he'd ever taken off in his life. They slept on the beach, they made love on the beach; honestly they barely left their hotel room even it was on the beach.

The fact that they'd been together for almost 3 years and married one of those and still couldn't keep their hands off each other was what Roman really enjoyed on the road or at home; it never mattered.

Most nights they hardly sleep.

They ended up with sand in places you are definitely NOT supposed to get sand, but it was still the best time he ever had with just him and...his wife. He really loved the way it sounded when he said it in his mind or when he was introducing her to people. Roman snapped out of his thoughts as the door opened and the plastic surgeon walked in.

"I'm Dr. Adam Sanborn, I'm going to do the exam and then we can go over your test results Mrs. Reigns." the doctor stated softly before he looked up from her chart. "You must be Mr. Reigns. " He stated and stuck his hand out to shake it.

Roman nodded as he shook the doctors hand. He watched as the doctor slipped on some purple rubber gloves before he opened his wife's paper top that went to her waist and examined her left and right bare breasts. Roman wasn't the jealous type but if he kept messing with his wife's boobs he was going to find his face being scraped off the bottom of Roman's sneaker.

'Yea Roman that wasn't jealous at all.' Roman shook his head.

"Okay you can get dressed, I'm going to go get your test results from my assistant I'll be back in a few minutes." Dr. Sanborn disappeared from the room.

"Jesus Christ his hands were cold. I could feel them through the damn gloves." Lizette stated as she put her bra and t-shirt back on before rubbed her breasts through her t-shirt.

Roman chuckled hard at his wife's antics. "You know if you need help warming those babies up...I am available."

Lizette faked a glare at her husband as she sat back down on the exam table. "Not while were here no thanks. Maybe later..." She said with a sly smirk as the Doctor came back in the room. Roman walked over and leaned against the exam table with his arm around her waist.

"So when can you do this doc?" Roman asked curiously.

"Well according to your test results, there's a little something in the numbers. We will have to wait on the reconstructive surgery for a little while." Dr. Sanborn informed the couple in front of them.

"W-what do you mean wait? What is wrong with my test numbers?" Lizette was about to full fledge freak out; the worst had happened - her cancer was back!

"You'll have you wait about...8 months - You're pregnant by just about 4 weeks." Dr. Sanborn stated as he handed over the test results. "I'll let you to have a moment."

Lizette looked up at Roman as his eyes widened while he looked at the paper that confirmed she was pregnant. "Do you really think we are ready for this?"

"I know we are babygirl." Roman smiled as he leaned down. "I need you to kiss me to make sure this is all really happening."

"Don't take what you don't need from me." Lizette stated in a soft tone as she leaned up slightly and kissed her husband's lips. She felt his arms wrap around her as he lifted her off the exam table and into his arms.

Roman smirked "I'll always need everything from you; you are my heaven." His forehead leaned against his wife's. He couldn't believe they were going to have a baby. It brought everything into perspective for them.

"Happy Anniversary Mr. Reigns."

"Happy Anniversary Mrs. Reigns."

The End!
