Hi Everyone!

For those of you who are new to my writing, this is a quick little one-shot that takes place several years after my multi-chapter ScoRose fic, "A Fine Line," but it can easily stand on its own. If you enjoy it, I'd really appreciate it if you head on over and check out some of my other stories. In addition to "A Fine Line" I have a few other Rose and Scorpius fics, as well as some other Next Generation fare that has been spawned from my own little world inside the Harry Potter universe.

For those of you who are familiar with my stories, I owe you an apology for the fact that I've been MIA for so long. My only excuse is that my job has gotten completely insane and I just do not have the time to write very much anymore. I promise that I'm doing my best - and will continue to try to do better. I really miss it. Hopefully posting this one-shot will put me back in your good graces!

I had a lot of fun writing this one, so I really hope you enjoy it. As always, thank you so much for reading! Please don't forget to let me know what you think!

No More!

Scorpius barely managed to duck out of the way as yet another flying object hurtled past his head. He winced at the resounding crash as what had been a brand new glass vase hit the wall behind him and shattered into tiny glittering shards, sending a bouquet of gerbera daisies scattering across the floor. "Rose, sweetheart, just take a breath—"

"Don't you tell me to take a breath, you bastard!" his wife screamed.

He opened his mouth to attempt to soothe her once again, but was interrupted before the first syllable was even able to pass his lips.

"I'm going to chop your dick off, you son of a bitch!" she screeched, causing Scorpius to flinch at the imagery. She reached out with her right hand, her fingers feeling around the bedside table for something else to throw at him. "How could I let you do this to me again?! I never want you to come within fifty feet of me for the rest of our lives!"

The drinking glass that had been sitting on the bedside table soared across the room, barely missing Scorpius's head and sending water everywhere before joining the vase in pieces on the floor.

"Mrs. Malfoy, will you please calm down? Just take deep breaths. You need to stop destroying the room. Your husband is just trying to—" the woman stopped speaking abruptly as Rose leveled her with a single look.

"It's fine. She did this the last two times as well," Scorpius responded, his lips quirking up at the corner. "I'd honestly almost be disappointed if she didn't." He caught his wife's angrily flashing gaze, breaking out into a grin at the scorching look she gave him.

"Do you really think now is the best time to make me angry, Scor?" Rose hissed, her eyes narrowed into slits. "If you—" Her words were cut off by a sharp intake of breath. Then she cried out, her head falling back in pain, and her fingers grasping at the bed sheets on either side of her.

Scorpius immediately leapt towards his wife, wrapping both of his hands around her clenched fist. "Shh, Rose. It's okay. It's almost over."

Rose gritted her teeth, bearing down on a particularly intense contraction. As the worst of it hit her, she flipped her hand over, entwining her fingers with Scorpius's and squeezing with all of her might. Finally, the tension across her midsection began to ease, and she slumped back against the pillows, her head lolling towards Scorpius's shoulder. "It hurts, Scor."

"I know, but you're doing so well. It's almost over." He leaned forward and pressed his lips to her sweat-soaked brow.

"This is it. No more. We have all of the kids that we're ever going to have," Rose panted.

Scorpius smiled against her forehead. "You said that the last time, baby."

Rose pulled back, her eyes flashing dangerously, glaring at her husband. "You really want to contradict me right now? Does that seem like a good idea?" She ground out the last part of her sentence through clenched teeth as another powerful contraction wracked her body.

"That's it, Mrs. Malfoy," the nurse urged. "Nice and steady. Just keep bearing down. You're doing wonderfully."

Rose hissed through tensed lips, blinking the sweat from her eyes and struggling to keep her breathing even. "I can't."

"Now that's a phrase I never thought I'd hear you say," Scorpius taunted her, shifting so that he was seated on the bed, halfway behind her and supporting some of her weight. "Stop being such a wimp and suck it up." Seeing her in this much pain was almost more than he could handle. He would have given almost anything to take some of it on himself. If rising her hackles would help take her mind off of the agonizing waves, then he was more than happy to give her something else on which to focus her ire – even if that something else just happened to be him.

"If you're not going to be helpful, then just get out," Rose growled. She shot a look of utter contempt over her shoulder at her husband, the strength of her grip on his hand belying her words.

"You'd miss me too much," he snorted, pressing another kiss to her temple. Feeling the moisture there, he reached up his free hand to wipe the stream of sweat from her brow.

"Not as much as you think I would." Her head fell back onto his chest and she gasped for air as another contraction hit her.

"All right, Mrs. Malfoy – the head is crowning," the Healer spoke up. "I'm going to need you to start pushing."

"What exactly is it that you think I've been doing up here?" Rose gritted out.

The Healer was completely unfazed by her patient's thinly veiled hostility. She shot a look at Scorpius as he chuckled, running a soothing hand up and down his trembling wife's arm.

"We're almost there. Just push as hard as you can."

Scorpius threaded his fingers through Rose's and gripped tightly, hoping to give her and anchor. "You can do this, Rose. I'm so proud of you. You're doing so well, Daffodil."

"Again with the stupid flower names," Rose groaned, her upper body curling forward as she pushed with all that remained of her strength. "You would think…you'd be…bored of that…by now," she wheezed in between grunts of pain.

"Never," Scorpius whispered, his lips against her ear.

"The head's out!" the Healer called out. "Now there's only the shoulders left – and then you're through the worst of it. You're almost done, Mrs. Malfoy. Just one more big push!"

Rose gathered all of her strength, focusing on forcing the baby's shoulders through what felt like an impossibly small opening. She screamed through teeth that were clenched so tightly together that she could feel the blood throbbing through their roots, and clung so tightly to Scorpius's hands that her nails were digging crescent moon shaped welts into his skin.

Scorpius cringed as her grip became impossibly tighter, but merely continued to whisper words of reassurance into her ear. The volume of her cries was constantly increasing and her body was beginning to shake violently with the effort it was taking to push their child into the world.

"Almost there!" the Healer called out, reaching forward to help the baby along. "One more push should do it!" she urged Rose.

Rose arched her body back against Scorpius's, and with one last shriek, the shoulders were through. The Healer quickly cleared the baby's airways and with a small hiccup, the child let out his first cry. Rose laughed at the sound, her eyes filling with tears as she shifted her grip on her husband's hands, trying to peer over her knees to see her son.

"You have a beautiful baby boy, Mr. and Mrs. Malfoy," the Healer smiled, standing to wrap the baby in a blanket before gently laying him across his mother's chest. She unobtrusively gathered her things, slipping out of the room and leaving the family alone for a moment.

The baby's eyes struggled to open, squinting furiously against the overhead lights. Rose shifted him in her arms as he fussed, whispering soothingly.

Scorpius looked down in wonder as his son stretched his arms out, waving his miniature fists in the air as if in objection to the sudden stimuli surrounding him. "He's perfect, Rose." He ran his finger across the baby's brow. Even after having been through this twice before, he was still amazed at just how much love instantly swelled up in his chest for this tiny little human being. Overcome with emotion, Scorpius pressed a kiss to the side of Rose's head. "Thank you."

Rose turned her head, catching his lips with hers. "I love you," she whispered against his mouth. "I'm sorry I threw a vase at you."

Scorpius chuckled. "Rose, darling, you throwing a vase at me is hardly the most aggressive thing either one of us has ever done in this relationship. I'm just glad the Healer confiscated your wand. I'm not eager to test your skills at administering impromptu vasectomies if it's all the same to you."

"Fair enough," Rose grinned. She yawned, leaning her head back onto Scorpius's shoulder. "I'm so tired."

"You've every right to be." He gathered the two of them up in his arms, shifting so that everyone was comfortably settled. "Why don't you rest? I'll be right here."

Rose nodded in agreement, her eyelids already growing heavy.

"Knock knock." The door eased open, revealing Hermione, who was holding Rose and Scorpius's very sleepy two-year-old son, Grayson, on her hip. "Can we come in? Somebody wants to see you."

Before either Rose or Scorpius had a chance to answer her, the door was shoved open the rest of the way and a small red-haired blur shot into the room.

"Mama!" Five-year-old Allegra launched herself towards Rose, desperately trying to climb up onto the bed by grabbing ahold of the sheets.

"Easy, sweetheart, mama needs her rest," Scorpius laughed, reaching down to haul his daughter up onto his lap. He looked towards the door where Hermione and his mother were both standing with huge smiles on their faces.

"She was all out of patience," Astoria told them, grinning.

"I wonder where she gets that from," Scorpius commented wryly, shooting a glance at his wife.

She sent a glare back in his direction. "Oh and you're just so good at waiting. You're a regular saint."

"Exactly."

Allegra was staring down at the bundle curled in Rose's arms. Rose smiled at her daughter. "Do you want to meet your baby brother?"

Allegra nodded, her eyes wide. She reached out her hand, gently poking the soft flesh of the baby's cheek.

"This is Parker," Rose whispered, leaning forward so that Allegra could get closer.

"Parker," Allegra repeated, focused completely on the tiny creature in front of her. "He's small."

"You were this size once, you know," Scorpius told her, resting his chin on her silky scarlet curls. "So was Grayson. He'll grow."

At the sound of his name, Grayson stirred, lifting his head from his grandmother's shoulder.

"Hey there, little man," Rose whispered, her eyes softening as her son stretched his arms out towards her.

Hermione lowered Grayson to the bed and Rose cuddled him in close. "You're a big brother now, Gray." His bright blue eyes looked up at her. "Do you want to say hello to Parker?"

Grayson just snuggled even more firmly into her side, lifting his thumb into his mouth and sucking. Rose chuckled, pressing a kiss to his wispy blond hair. "It might take some getting used to."

Ten minutes later, Grayson was sound asleep and Allegra was nodding off against Scorpius's chest. "We'll let you three get some rest," Astoria murmured, stepping forward to heft Allegra into her arms.

Hermione did the same with Grayson, pausing to kiss her daughter. "I'm so proud of you, Rosie. He's beautiful."

Rose smiled tiredly. "Thanks for bringing them in."

"Of course. We'll take them home and put them to bed. See you in the morning?"

"Sounds good. Thank you, both." Scorpius rose to hug Hermione and place a kiss to his mother's cheek, careful not to wake either one of his children. He saw them out, closing the door at their backs and turning back to his wife.

He crossed the room, settling himself next to Rose on the bed. He wrapped his arm around her, lifting a hand to gently run his fingers through her still-damp hair.

"We finally got one with your eyes, Scor," Rose whispered, staring down at the icy grey orbs that were currently blinking up at her.

"They may change yet."

"Allegra and Grayson were both born with blue eyes. I think his will stay the same. I hope his will stay the same."

Scorpius stroked his son's cheek, smiling when a tiny fist batted his hand away. He waggled a finger and it was caught up in a vise-like grip. "I think we may have the next Hogwarts Seeker on our hands, Snapdragon."

When there was no response from Rose, Scorpius glanced down at her face to see that she had drifted off to sleep again. He brushed his lips over her temple before shifting Parker into his arms. He knew he should move off of the bed and into a nearby chair so that his exhausted wife would have a better chance of resting in peace, but he just couldn't seem to make himself move away from her. Instead, he alternated between watching his beautiful Rose sleep and gazing at his newborn son.

It really was amazing just how tiny and delicate a baby was. Even with two children, Scorpius was still surprised at how small Parker's features were. He looked down into the big grey eyes, still too new to be able to focus on his face, and felt the love rise up until he couldn't stop the single tear from sliding down his cheek. "Hi there, little one. I'm your father, and nothing is ever going to happen to you as long as I'm around. I promise you that."

Parker gurgled. Scorpius rocked him gently until the baby's eyelids began to droop.

A stirring beside him drew his attention back to Rose. She shifted, reaching for him and the baby. Scorpius eased himself further down the bed, pulling her close. Rose sighed contentedly, bringing her hand up to stroke Parker's cheek before letting it rest beside his head on Scorpius's chest.

"Goodnight, Scor," she breathed, already beginning to fall back to sleep.

"Goodnight, Rose."

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed it! I really love these two, so it's always fun to revisit Rose and Scorpius again. If you care to take the time, please leave a review on the way out. I can't begin to tell you how much that means. Hopefully I'll be able to find the time to write some more soon.
