Hello, I'm fairly new around here with only 1 fanfic so far. (If you ship Jinx x Shaco I think you will like it.) Regardless my motives for writing this story are similar as to why I wrote my first story, there was a fairly lovely couple in both worlds that I felt was disappointingly ignored. So this story is me doing my part to fix that. That being said, I hope you enjoy the prologue of Third Time's the Charm.

James and Vincent stepped out of the car. It was a bitterly cold November as they looked at the now abandoned church in the distance. "Thank you Jerry we'll be fine from here." James said to their driver. The man behind the wheel nodded and before pulling away said "Very well, your parents and I wish you the best of luck sirs." James turned to his brother and sighed. "Just you and me now brother, are you ready?" Vincent gave his brother a look of determination as he said "Ready as we're ever going to be, no point in stalling this." With their goal reconfirmed they turned to the church and made their way towards it. The church was dark inside but it sheltered them from the wind. Vincent took out a flashlight and found some candles in a section of the church, which the 2 began to light the room with. "This is the spot uh?" James asked his brother. "Should be." Vincent plainly responded. "You want to go first?" he looked at James. James shrugged "I probably should, she will make it easier to summon him. You have the artifacts?" Vincent said nothing but pulled out 2 objects. One was a lock of purple hair while the other was a pair of plain glasses, one of the lenses were cracked. Vincent handed the lock of hair over to his brother and put the glasses on an alter, the 2 then began making a magic circle in the center of the room. Once the circle was completed James placed the lock of hair into the center and motioned for his brother to step back. With everything set up James began to chant the summoning spell, the circle began to shimmer. After the words were spoken the center glowed intensely until a figure appeared. She was a women covered in a cowl, everything but her lower head were covered by it. At first she seemed polite, with a smile on her face. "Well, nice to meet, I hope you won't be to stingy with your command spells." James sighed. "Vince! I think she doesn't have any memory of the last holy grail war." Vincent shook his head "That was to be expected, let's start the reconstructing of her memories first before we summon him." Caster now seemed confused "What are you talking about?" James smiled politely at Caster "Nothing to worry about, just stand there." Vincent took the other end of the circle and both began chanting in unison a phrase. After the 5th repetition Caster cried out as she fell to the ground. James ran over to her and helped her up. "How are you feeling Medea?" He asked. Caster's face was now twisted in grief. "Curse it all!" she cried "Forced to play in this blasted war once again." she lamented. Vincent put his hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry, we're on your side. We're going to right the wrong of the last war." he assured her. James clapped his hands together pleased. "Looks like we've succeeded my brother." Vincent did not seem as pleased. "Of course we need, Medea is the easier one, I'm concerned more about summoning him."

James waved his hand as if to shoo a pest away. "That's why we summoned her first." He turned to caster. "Medea, do see any improvements we could make to this circle?" Medea hesitated, reluctant to have any part in this. "Please I understand why you wouldn't want to help us but we need your help if we're going to do this right. Trust us we're on your side here." Caster still didn't trust them but James could simply use a command spell if she continued to refuse so she went along. "You should use a different symbol here and this section is a little off." she began listing all the flaws with the circle. The twins blushed in embarrassment but quickly went about fixing it according to her instructions. Once the circle was improved it was now Vincent's turn. He placed the cracked glasses in the center and began chanting the spell as well. Once again the circle shimmered and a bright light came from the center. This time a man in a green suit appeared and he picked up the glasses, which were now undamaged, and put them on. Medea gasped "Souichirou-sama!" she cried in disbelief. The man turned to her with a placid look and asked slightly confused "Caster?" She turned to the twins. "What is going on here?" The twins grinned excitedly then jumped for joy. "We did it!" they shouted out in glee. "It looks like he even has his memory." James said "Saves us the trouble of restoring it for him." Vincent completed his brother's thought. "Excuse me." The 2 stopped their celebration and turned to the man who had spoken. He had just finished polishing his glasses and put them back on his face. "She asked you a question did she not?" he rhetorically asked the two, acknowledging Caster's confusion. The siblings nodded and began their explanation. "Of course, let us explain." James opened, he then turned to Vincent motioning for him to go on. Vincent seemed surprised at this but kept his cool.

"We are from the mage's association and as such we have studied the previous holy grail wars with great vigor." he began to shed a tear. He wiped it and continued. "Out of all the holy grail contestants your story was by far the most moving." James nodded in agreement and took it from there, now impassioned. "That's when my brother and I decided to enter the next holy grail war and get you 2 to be our servants, so you could win the holy grail and finally live together in peace!" Caster was skeptical. "You really would pass up the holy grail for 2 strangers." Vincent answered "Don't get us wrong we will still gain great amounts of fame and fortune just for winning, we're just giving you guys the wish." Caster looked at Kuzuki "What do you think Souichirou-sama?" Souichirou did not even turn to her, he simply kept his eyes on th 2 boys. But Caster had spent enough time to understand him, he didn't have an opinion or if he did he didn't think it mattered. All that counted was what Caster thought. If she did not trust these 2 he would swiftly kill them with his own hands. Caster decided she could handle any trick they tried to pull on them. "Very well masters, we will work with you to win the holy grail war." Souichirou simply relaxed his stance.

James clapped his hands together again. "Well now that that's agreed on we're going to call Jerry to come pick us up, you guys catch up." Caster became uneasy as the twins left leaving her alone with her former master. At first the 2 remained in an awkward silence, Caster was unsure of what to say to him, she was always so tongue tied around him. Surprisingly it was Souichirou who broke the silence first. "I am glad to be able to see you again." he said with a stone face. Regardless the words shot excitement troughout her body. "I-I'm also happy to see you Souichirou-Sama!" she stammered. Suddenly Kuzuki grabbed her in his arms, holding her tight he said in his usualy drab tone. "I'm so glad you're safe." Even though he had no emotion in his voice the words struck her. Caster blushed intensely"S-Souichirou-Sama." before her head blew off from him being so close the 2 were interupted by Vincent. "Jerry is here, let's take you to your new home." he smiled
