Summary: Kagome's content to not live the life style of a pureblood lady, she'd rather continue the Higurashi tradition of being a warrior. If only her mother hadn't abandoned their way of life, if only she wasn't engaged to marry a Malfoy, if only she wasn't the daughter of the Dark Lord. Then she could be happy but that didn't mean she wouldn't fight them every step of the way.
Pairing: Kagome/Draco
Disclaimer: I don't own the Harry Potter or Inuyasha franchise and am not profiting off of this story.
Ku Loon paced around the Higurashi mansion happily, her lord was coming to stay temporarily in her home. She stopped in front of the mirror to do some quick adjustments to her tight, black bun. Making sure her makeup didn't make her look paler than she already did, then she grimaced her eye makeup made her brown eyes pop but it was put on too thickly. She carefully dabbed around her eyelids removing the excess until it was what she declared perfect. Then smiled, she had to look good for her lord, just in case he wanted to bestow her the honor of bearing him another heir. Though he hasn't asked yet, but maybe he will, he had a daughter but no son, which she knew was important to passing on his name.
Though speaking of her only daughter, Ku Loon couldn't stop the grimace that came to her face. She was unruly and unlady-like. Kagome was the tall flower in the garden, yet she was also the snake lying beneath it and waiting to bite the head of an unlucky rabbit.
Ku Loon perked up when she saw the Floo Network activated, "Welcome, my lord," she said bowing at the waist, as the handsome snake-faced man walked through the floo. She looked up pausing momentarily as his inner circle entered followed by Draco.
"Pleasure as always," Lord Voldemort said taking her hand to kiss her knuckles.
"Would you like to join me for some tea and treats?" she asked trying not to beam with absolute happiness. She quickly glanced at Bellatrix who was positively livid. LeStrange detested the woman due to the fact that she bore their lord's' heir.
"Of course lead the way," he said gesturing for her to walk ahead. She sauntered with practiced grace as she led them to the parlor. It was decorated with blues, purples, whites with butterflies and floral themed things thrown in here and there. In the middle was a large white wooden table that was decorated with sweets, tea cups and a large tea pot in the middle. Ku Loon sat to the right of the family's head seat, Tom taking the head seat, Bellatrix to his immediate right, the other's filling in.
He looked at her for a moment before inquiring, "How's my heir? I trust she's well."
She paused momentarily, before forcing a smile. "Oh my lord very much," she started, "She's the top of her class she recently was granted an apprenticeship. That's why she's not here right now." she explained, gritting her teeth. They were partial lies, she was all those things, but she was also others as well.
"Good, will she be returning soon?" He asked scarcely acknowledging the woman.
"She'll be returning before dinner," she explained, she said but secretly hoped it would be one of those nights where she didn't come back until morning.
…
Kagome's eye ticked in annoyance, she hated errands. She really did, that was the one downside to her apprenticeship. But today seemed worse because of the perverted monkey demon, who was currently trying to buy her for the night.
"Look here you perverted fuck, just give me what I came for," Kagome said glaring at the monkey demon, her magic radiating off her. "And I can leave and you can keep all of your limbs."
"Sorry, couldn't help myself, pretty young women are my weakness," he said fetching the elaborately decorated chest her master needed. He gave her the up down admiring the short tight black skirt with the slit that almost revealed her underwear, her sleeveless sweetheart blue that showed her entire midsection, where her clan mark of butterflies circled each other surrounded by flower petals though her's was strange because of the snake the circled outside. On her arms were independent blue sleeves that flared out at the bottom. The monkey demons gaze trailed down to her legs, were long black socks accentuated her toned legs, ending with almost blended in black boots.
"Shut it you pervert," she hissed irises temporarily becoming snake-like, "Give me the chest." her eyes changing back when the man looked sufficiently scared. "Thank you," she said with a smile after he gave her the object. She cracked open the lid to make sure there were fresh scrolls before wordlessly shrinking it. She placed it in her boot walking out.
She sighed to herself, she hoped after this task she could get home before her father dropped in for one of his 'spontaneous' visits. She didn't mind them albeit a bit boring but she was just dreading this one, it was no secret in the house that she'd given up the pureblood way, and continued her family tradition. She shivered just imagining his Crucio, and was thankful she could protect herself from it. And then there was Draco, they were arranged to be married. She didn't necessarily mind him, because he just left her to her own devices.
…
Lord Voldemort walked around the busy halls of the Japanese Ministry, he enjoyed coming here. It was similar to England but so different at the same time. It held around the same number of people rushing in from all corners of the globe: wizards and demons, owls and howlers flew at all angles seeking their destinations. Though there was less noise than in England. And people didn't just walk around in suits and robes, there were some in full battle armor, others in traditional kimonos or yukata, others in a hodgepodge of things that didn't seem to match.
He and his Death Eaters stuck out but didn't receive much attention other than a couple wary looks. They walked towards the building that had a mural of a large demon dog growling at the moon. As he approached, the door swung open to reveal man who towered over the Lord by a head or two, he had long white hair that was held in a high ponytail, he also wore a black suit like the wizards.
"Lord Riddle, Malfoy, Snape, Pettigrew, Lady LeStrange, it's pleasure to have you here," he said stepping aside while they all entered. He led them through a grand foyer of pale gray marble. He opened one of the extravagant doors to reveal a messy office with papers and ink wells skewed. "I apologize for the mess, my apprentice and I were in the middle of cleaning before you sent your hawk." he said waving his hand making the papers move to one side of the room uncovering zabutons. "Please remove your shoes and have a seat."
"Alright," Voldemort started, "where do we begin with the Muggle problem?"
The meeting continued boringly of them pouring over maps of the remaining muggle camps in Asia. They established they would be eliminated before the summer was over.
"Old man, seriously stop making me go to the damned perverted monkey, for your supplies" Kagome gripped strolling in without knocking, she went to her once desk, overtaken by papers.. Batting her hand making all the papers fly into the corner revealing a tiny desk underneath. She placed all the stuff from her errands on top.
"Oh Kagome, there you are," he greeted "I trust your trip went well," He received an almost inaudible for human ears 'mostly,' "Please meet our guests, they're from the England Ministry."
Kagome paused before turning, her and Voldemort's gaze met. "Hi," she said bowing slightly. Oh fuck her life. She plastered a smile on her face, maybe smiling would make it better.
Voldemort stared in disbelief. This was his heir, who not last summer did not look like this. Her hair was slightly disarrayed, her posture disgustingly relaxed, boorish attitude, her appeal too scandalous and the repulsive mark on her hip. She was an atrocious mess. What had Ku Loon done, or not done?
Bellatrix held in her desire to cackle, this was glorious. She bit her tongue as her eyes swept over the young girl once more. Ku Loon had failed, her lord could bare witness how ill-fit the woman was to have children, much less his. She began to imagine her stomach swelled with the Dark Lord's future children. Ku Loon would be dead at her feet along with the failed offspring.
The Dark Lord smiled, "Please such formalities are quite improper greeting to your father," he said getting up. He walked over to her clapping her on the shoulder. "Kagome," he greeted painfully gripping her shoulder, her face darkened. They simply glowered at each other, the air become almost unbreathable.
InuTaisho watched the interaction with mild interest. While everyone else was on edge, hands at the ready, if it escalated.
"Of course," she stated brushing his hand off. "I have some more things that need attending" she dismissed herself.
Until next time...I really hated the original of this chapter, so I rewrote it to hopefully fit with the rest of the story, because I had no direction when I wrote this.
This first chapter finally matches my view and I'm 99.99% in love with it.
